Excellent, first rate customer service
I've used JE James since buying my first full sus. Anyway, took my current bike in for a service last Friday where they found a crack in the frame. Knowing I was away the following weekend they managed to turn around a full warranty replacement and transfer all my upgrade within 3 days.
Absolute top service and I can't thank them enough. I would fully recommend them and will continue to be a happy customer.

Quality with a quick delivery!
I purchased the Giant Revel 2012 bike at a bargain £200, £100 cheaper than the Giant website! It was sent with free delivery and arrived in a few days well packaged and put together. The free mug and tshirt to bike to work in was a bonus, I can't fault this company at all, well done!!!

Excellent first impression
I decided to give jejames a go as they had the light I wanted cheaper than anywhere else. Was just under the £15 free shipping mark so I added a few other small items I needed and placed my order late Thursday evening - received it Saturday morning. Won't hesitate to use them again.

Could not ask for more if you live in Malta and wantto buy from the UK
I was looking to buy from a reputable supplier, that had a good history and easy to use site, as well as the big factor, posting to Malta! It was easy to find the price to expect to ship (not cheap, but it never is when shipping to an island so far into the med). The site was easy to use, and the cart solution was fast and only a couple of simple pages, great stuff, less than 2 minutes to do the order.
Of course I spent ALOT more time reviewing the bikes they had, comparing with review sites, and ending up really liking the % saving shown for a 2012 bike! my bike was discounted over 30%, the range of bikes is great too, i chose a Kona 2012, and got a great discount, and got a GT for the wife, also at a great price, all in all, i think it was easy, saved some money, and enjoyed shopping there online, which can be horrible sometimes!

Rapid Delivery

Ordered online and was delivered next day
I have normally visited JE James Chesterfield store as there are usually quite a few instore Sale bargains, a few of which I have fitted to my MTB. I have their facebook page on my liked list of page and there was an advert for some SPD pedals on offer, so clicked the link and ordered from the JE James website, and they were delivered the very next day. I have used JE James for years, I remember going there as a kid in the 1970's and have never had a problem, would recommend to anyone.

Very helpful and knowledgable
I purchase my first road bike from J E James through the cycle to work scheme . Knowing nothing about what bike or size I required, I spent several hours with the sales guy while he was more than happy to set up each bike for me . Since then I have purchased a triathlon bike and all my bike gadgets from them . Really can't rate this company enough

Good service
Ordered some parts for my shifters, one for the right side and one for the left.
But by a mistake, I received two for right side.
I wrote the store, they answered quickly back.
Two days later I had the left side part.

Identity Theft?!?!
I placed an order for a wheelset at a great price. The next day I was emailed by the company and asked for a copy of a utility bill and my passport. That's what you need to open a line of credit! I contacted my credit card immeditely and asked that a hold be placed on this order. JE James did refund my order, but this company seems like a phishing scam. Beware!!!!

COME ON GUYS !!
Ordered some apparel and most was sent in first package with okay delivery time (6 days).
I'm informed that my bibshorts was sent one day later but has still not arrived !! Ordered on June 19th - that's now 22 days and still counting !!!
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE !!!
Another issue - 2 items were cancelled due to one part was no longer in stock.
The full amount was charged my account and refund took 15 days !!
THIS IS NOT A COMPETENT WEB SHOP !!!

Amazing Customer Service 10 out of 10 (says it all)
My son bought us a pair of Dahon folders for Christas 2011, almost a year later mine started making an ellusive ticking sound which went away after a while, but occured each time I rode the bike. I contacted J E James with a querie as to the likely cause and implications of this, David Andrus was more than helpfull, suggesting that the rear wheel be replaced, and ordered one from the makers. Due to the lengthy delivery time he decided to have my bike and replace the wheel from a stock item. In the end this proved not possible so they rebuilt the rear hub pro tem while awaiting delivery of the replacement, and returned the bike to me to use in the meantime. Never before have I had such an excellent service. J E James staff seem eager to go the extra mile for their customers and certainly give you the impression that they'll not be happy until you are.
All in all an excellent company to do business with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

bought my son an expensive giant mountain bike,the price was just about the best on the net,had a small problem with it, this was dealt with in a first class manner, communications were spot on and extremely helpfull, will deffinately use je james again ,reccomended p.s delivery was fast and came when promised,

i had great service
I have to say i had my doubts about je james cycles (after placing my order) due to reading a few bad reviews.
The reality was my experience was VERY GOOD,
I placed my order for a Specialized Tactic helmet on the saturday of the bank holiday weekend just gone, i received a text on the wedensday telling me delivery would be the following day, the next day i recieved a text telling me delivery would be between 3 and 4pm and was given 3 options to change delivery day/time (not having to wait around all day for delivery makes a change)
The helmet arrived as stated between 3 and 4pm in perfect condition including packaging and delivery was free (within 3 working days of order placed on a bank holiday weekend)
what more do people want from a company
just as a comparison i ordered items from je james cycle, wiggle, evans cycles and chain reaction all on the same day. the items from wiggle, je james and evans all arrived on the same day with chain reaction just winning by coming a day earlier

Mnn not sure
I think (by the phone calls) they are simply a high street shop with a website?? either way the response time to email enquiries was poor and the busy background shop made phone calls difficult to understand. Goods were excellent though! Slow delivery though. I would always see these as my 3rd or 4th choice as a retailer
