I decided to buy a 182PS Ford Focus after a test drive at my local dealership in Hemel Hempstead. Unfortunately they didn't have the precise model I wanted. So after an hour searching the internet & a couple of phone calls, I placed an order with Jennings Ford Direct.
After organising the funds, the Titanium X was delivered to my home a fortnight later. I was concerned at such a high value internet purchase, especially since I hadn't seen the car "in the flesh", but I needn't have worried. The car looked like new upon arrival & was supplied with all the correct paperwork & accessories.

our salesman Chris Dickson was excellent at explaining everything, very friendly and it was a pleasure dealing with him. We felt that all queries were answered honestly and we were put at ease with his honesty. The garage had a great atmosphere and very welcominng. No wonder during our visit that we seen so many satisfied customers leaving happily with there new purchases.
The person who dealt with the service agreement was very pleasant and great at explaining everything aa was the gentleman who talked us through the finance.

My wife and I were treat very well by your staff mainly sales executive Mark Taylor a very personable young man. Good detail regarding the car was forthcoming and a successful test drive ensued. Part exchange and inclusive interior/exterior protection was agreed and the car was purchased immediately. The "instruction" on driving instrumentation and displays was very detailed. I change my cars infrequently so it was good to have a good experience.

The service we received from Jennings recently when buying a used car was second to none. After searching for the car we wanted locally without success, we made an enquiry to Jennings, South Shields. We received comprehensive, accurate information about the vehicle and a valuation for our car by return. We were able to view photographs of the car and the Jennings sales team kept us informed at every step, making the purchase hassle free and NO hard sell. This is the third car I have purchased from Jennings ford and did so using my experiences of having no past problems with the company or with my two previous purchased cars.
I traded in a 57 focus (1.6) for a 61 fiesta (1.4). I completed the usual circuit of garages looking at a variety of cars and Jennings gave me the best deal for my car by £200 against similar models.
The Fiesta I purchased appears to be very good, however time will tell but the previous cars I have purchased have been fine and i have had no problems dealing with the company in the past. The Sales man was very professional and capable.
We really appreciated the help of Paul and the rest of the team at Jennings in buying our new Ford Focus recently. They have a wide selection of cars and give great advice. Do look out for the Gap Insurance offer though - we weren't told about this until we were actually paying for the car, and having bought it through Jennings it turned out there are many better deals online. We managed to get a full refund, though.
I had no hesitation in going back top Jennings even though it wasn't the most convenient way to buy a car. I bought a new Mazda from the Middlesborough branch 3 1/2 years ago and was impressed with the service so, when I was looking for a nearly new Fiesta, I thought I'd go back. Mal at M'b was really helpful and couldn't have done more. However, the vehicle I wanted to see was at South Shields so I drove up to see it. The only disappointment was that I'd been advised to take all the documentation and keys for the car I was going to trade in but when I got there it was made clear that it wouldn't be possible to drive the new car away. Unfortunately Peter who dealt with me was already seeing another customer so we had a very swift test drive and I was in and out before you could blink! Peter did apologise but, to be honest, it did feel rather a rushed job. However, after the misunderstanding about picking the car up, I was relieved that delivery to my home, ( York), was arranged and the driver arrived promptly and was very helpful. Very satisfied !
I started my search on the internet site. I was quickly contacted by a salesman who prepared my chosen car for a view within 24 hours. The salesman, Paul Robson couldn't have been more helpful. I was allowed to have a thoroughtest drive of the car and because the cxar had come to the dealership late, Paul had it fully valeted for a further viewing the following day. On my second visit he answered all of my questions and brought the car inside (due to bad weather) whilst he demonstrated features of the model.
I agreed to buy the car, and was given my asking price for my trade in. I took delivery a few days later, and was offered a range of further products without any pressure. The whole experience was a pleasure, which is not always the case when buying a second hand car!
Nothing is a problem they can't do enough for you.
All the staff are friendly and approachable and try to get the best deal for you.
We have bought cars here before and continue to go straight back when we are due to change.

First time for us buying a car over the Internet and we were apprehensive. We needn't have worried as dealing with Jennings was hassle free. The staff were very helpful and kept us up to date during the whole process. All in all, the buying process went very smoothly.
We are now the proud owners of a Ford Focus and it is superb. We would definitely buy from them again.
Collected my car on 16.11.12 with initial good feeling and praise for Jennings Ford.
Due to the dark nights and working I checked over the car a week later. I was surprised to see all the tyres were only 26 psi which should be 32 psi.
Secondly, I noticed the engine oil level was very low, even below the minimum marker. I contacted Jennings Ford straight away who insisted the car has been fully checked over and serviced. I did have all the paperwork showing the car was checked out, even by an independent inspector (RAC). I found it very suspicious how after all these checks, the tyres pressures were low and the engine oil below the minimum mark.
I had to go and purchase some engine oil from Halfords myself to prevent and engine damage.
As I live 150 miles away from Jennings Ford, I was told to take the car to my local Ford dealer to get it checked out. After doing this, my local dealer said the engine oil is OK and not leaking but they did find the near side drive shaft seal was leaking oil.
This to me was further evidence that the car has NOT been serviced or even checked out.
My impression of Jennings Ford is that they get cars in around a year or so old, give them a wash / wax and send them on their way.
The most BASIC check (engine oil) was not looked at, so to me if that wasn’t done, what else hasn’t been done.
Too much reliance is but on the age of the car (thinking it’s only a year old) and the 2 year warranty they supply. All they kept saying to me was if there’s any problem it’s covered under the warranty.
I won’t recommend any one to buy from Jennings Ford. Their great to start with but as soon as they’ve got your money, the interest levels soon disappear.
I recently purchased a second hand Mondeo from Jennings - South Shields, and had no problems whatsoever.
The car was three months old but only had 10 miles on the clock. After having it for just over a week it broke down and had to to be towed to a different Ford garage for repairs which took over two weeks.
Jennings - South Shields gave me a car to use during that time.

I was very pleased with everything about the purchase of my car and thought Jennings service was excellent.
The small item which I mentioned above is that the service book was missing. I was promised a new book would be obtained from Ford for the vehicle and to be fair was told it might take a little while to obtain. It has been 5 weeks now and I am getting a bit concerned that I might not get the book. My oppinion will change dramatically if this happens as the book is essential if i ever want to sell the car.
From the first contact from Nik at Jennings to the hand over of my new car there was no problem whatsoever. When i received my car there had been adaptions made for me and Nik had arranged for the fitter to be there to explain everything. Nik then showed me the car and gave a detailed introduction to the car and was able to answer all my questions (there was a lot of questions!) I was then told to contact him if I had any further questions or problems,
A lovely car, exactly as advertised! Only thing that stopped 5 stars was it arrived with a couple of very small scratches but the torrential rain and the fact it was a dark horrid day meant we didn't see these. When it was dry a day later I rang local Ford to ask then to sort under the warranty but as we had driven it by then they refused. It was a new car to us, of course we wanted to drive it!!
It could have been us, could have been there already, but they weren't willing to help with this.
Full marks apart from this, I rang up lots and never felt like I was being silly or a burden, Chris said call as much as we want as we are making such an important purchase and he'd rather we were 100% happy and ensure we get what we want, so that's what I did. He has the patience of a saint!!

I was very pleased with the service I received from Steve Ternent. There was no pressure sales talk from him which I hate. Everything was the bottom line so we both knew where we stood during the sale. He was pleasant and courteous at all times. The whole experience from cups of tea to friendly banter was excellent. I love the Ford Mondeo Estate I bought.

Living in the Shetland Islands makes car buying a bit daunting. After searching for a Ford Mondeo Titanium Sport Estate on the Ford Direct site without any luck, I looked on the Jennings Web site, as I do originate from South Shields and knew about the dealership. I found the vehicle I was looking for, and after a quick phone call the purchase of the vehicle was underway. After a few more phone calls my purchase was confirmed and the dealership arranged everything so that I could collect the car the following weekend.
After a 22 hour journey we arrived at the Newcastle Road dealership in South Shields to be warmly greeted and offered refreshments while we waited to complete the paperwork. The salesman who had been dealing with my vehicle was busy with a customer, but he still took the time out to greet us and give me the keys to my new vehicle so I could have a liesurly inspection. The vehicle had been prepared to the highest standards and was immaculate right down to the high gloss finish tyres, so to say i was impressed is an under-statement. Once we got down to the paperwork, everything was explained and completed in minutes. The salesman then showed me around my vehicleonce again before ensuring we where happy with the transaction and the used Ford vehicle I had purchased. I asked a question about the new Focus ST before leaving, and not only did he give me a run down of the vehicle he took the time to show me around a demonstrator they had on the forecourt.
All in all, it was a pleasant, hassle free experience. From the first phone call enquiry, to the setting up of the free Ford drie away insurance, to driving the car away from the dealership, everything was first class. I have purchased a numbert of Ford vehicles from all around the UK both new and used, but I will make Jennings Newcasle Road the only dealership I will go back to from now on !!!!! The car was prepared to the highest standard, there was no pressure selling and my warranty and GAP insurance documents where received through the mail as promised within ten days. First class dealership, friendly staff and I doubt if my car is the only vehicle that was prepared to that standard for collection. Well done to the internet sales people, the Jennings staff and especially those behind the scenes who prepare the vehicles for the customers. In my opinion, the journey was well worth it and the buying experience was excellent, I love my new car and I am a totally satisfied customer.

Working for Trading Standards my own opinion and advice to consumers would have been that they should purchase vehicles locally, however, being located some 350 miles away I found that I was interested in purchasing a car from Jennings Ford South Shields, and after talking to an extremely helpful member of the sales team Mr Barry Dunn I went ahead with the purchase of a Ford Direct vehicle for extra reassurance.
The quality of service received from Mr Dunn of Jennings Ford Direct have been beyond my expectations with exceptional professional customer service, making buying a new car with no face to face contact such a straight forward experience.

We visited Jennings for the first time just to have a browse around, we had no intention to buy but were so impressed we came away having struck a deal on a Fiesta Zetec S. The sales people, the showroom, the presentation of the cars, in fact everything was great. We are on our 25th car and have never felt so satisfied dealing with a garage.
I used a Jennings ford outlet centre, where used cars which are ex employees car are sold. From the first time i spoke to an assistant, Barry, he couldnt have been more helpful if he tried. He got a number of keys for me to look into cars and helped me to narrow down my vies, wants and needs. I then test drove the car. The dealership offered me a deal but at the time I was unsure, they allowed me to sleep on it and the same deal applied the next day. Unfortunately Barry was on holiday for the week after I had bought the car meaning that I couldn't pick it up for another week, which I wasn't too bothered about at the start but I did want to get in my new car! As soon as he came back he was on the phone sorting out my details and got the car all sorted for me within a few days. On picking my car up eh was delayed talking to another customer but his service and patience were lovely. I was happy to sit and wait for him. When he has finished he gave me the most comprehensible guide to a new car possible, it look over an hour and told me about every single detail on the car, it being a titanium with an x pack you can imagine it has a lot of gadgets! I left the dealership with my new car, knowing exactly how everything worked. I have had no problems at all with it and would highly recommend the dealership to anyone I came across.
Living 265 miles away from the Jennings ford dealership that we saw the car online at ended up being no problem at all. The vehicle was transported down for us to look at with the previso that if not fully happy it would be returned to the dealership. The car was in fact as good as we had hoped so we purchased it anyway. The staff were extremly helpful throughout and I would happily recommend them.
