Food arrived promptly & was tasty. Unfortunately I got a huge amount of a particular product which I couldn't stand the taste of - they were totally unwilling to change it, so I have packets of totally useless food & a total waste of money.
I would've continued but the poor response from customer service meant I didn't want to end up with another month of food I couldn't eat. I wanted to be able to choose the food packets.
Went from 16 stones to 11.5 stones in about 18 months or so. Stick to the plan and it works. I became re-educated in portion sizes and the weekly telephone chats with my Jenny Craig Advisor helped me keep on track. My only reservation was that the food became slightly monotonous over time but credit to Jenny Craig, they did introduce new meals. I've put on half a stone since I stopped just before Xmas but I'm maintaining as I'm more aware of what I'm eating. Don't let the old habits of rubbish food and snacks take hold! It's all down to you in the end.
Very successful diet, I lost one and a half stone on it and now weight pretty much the same as when i left school.
The weight stays off as long as you follow the regular eating plan and don't skip meals!
The staff were very supportive and call you every week to monitor your weight and help you if you struggle and give you idea's on what to eat when you eat out.
The meals were ok but you can add your own seasonings to spice them up a bit, like stock cubes, fresh thyme, basil etc, they really helped and just make sure you ask for you favourite meals when ordering your next months supply, I brought extra measuring cups for when you plan your own meals so I had no excuses on portion control for breakfast and starches. So once I got the hang of planning my own meals I've managed to maintain my weight (give a pound or two) which is fine by me!
I have no hesitation on recommending this diet to anyone else, it clearly works as long as you follow the eating plan.
A really good experience when I started the programme, I felt completely cared for and lost weight down to my goal weight. I learnt lessons that I will take with me and will use in the future. The great points were the weekly calls, although as you move through the programme I felt this not as necessary (everyone is different though). The food is good, nutritious and very easy to follow. Unlike some I didn't find the food expensive and instead about as expensive as a good shop - fruit and veg is not cheap these days, so it was not off putting. Some of the wording on the sheets given were American which didn't make sense to a UK audience - Squash for example is different in the UK to the US. These were talked through with my advisor, but for the price you pay I am sure that these could be looked at and rephrased for the audience it is intended for.
The points I didn't like were the fact that although I may have discussed with my advisor that I didn't like a particular food, that if my preference was out of stock I was given an alternative - sometimes that very item I asked not to have. There were no calls to check prior to sending.
When you started to have days on your own there were no menu's provided to assist in the early days. Its quite a shift moving from food that has been provided to you to food you then cook yourself and as this is the basis of your future it would be great to not make this scary and intimidating.
When you reach your goal weight, there has been no guidance as to what calorie level I should be at now. What I should be eating and not written confirmation other than this survey to suggest I have reached my goal. I do feel as through I have made it and now its up to me but do think some advisory notes and some guidance as to what I should do from now would have helped.
Overall its something that I would suggest people do if they are stuck and need something to focus on, but as to long term weight loss that is still to be determined as I do feel there is nothing to guide you at the end.
The breakfasts are tasty and I enjoyed them. The soups were ok but rather sweet tasting. As for the dinners.... I just couldn't eat them. It was worse than aeroplane food. Easy to heat up but just not appetising.
I needed an easy diet to loose a couple of stone for my daughter's wedding. I'd tried most other diets and when they finished I just piled the weight back on and more. Jenny Craig UK was great. I bought the meals for 2 months and with the help of the phone calls each week to keep me motivated I was able to retrain myself to eat little and often and take up some exercise. The meals were delicious and so easy, you just needed to add veg and dairy. In the 18 months I have lost the 2 stone easily and have completely changed my attitude to food. I am also able to recognise when I am full now and also the difference between being hungry and thirsty. I know that sounds strange but lots of times I would eat when really all I needed was a drink. After Christmas I wanted a little kick start so I tried Diet Chef because it was a bit cheaper. I wish I hadn't because the food was quite bland and the support was not as good but luckily I had had the basic from Jenny Craig. I am confident I will not go back to my old ways as I have been on 'normal food' for a long while now and I really can't eat what I used to. If I need a little help again I would go back to Jenny as I realise now you get what you pay for . And my Daughter's wedding, well I've got an outfit 2 sizes smaller than I was wearing and I feel great!
I have lost 21 lbs in 6 months with JC. The idea taken from the website of having food delivered was attractive to me, a bachelor. The food was good and tasty, especially the potato light bites! but the printing was too small on the food packets. Clare, my advisor, was helpful and encouraging, always telephoning me on time and keeping on target - her comments when I wanted to cease the regime after 9 months were very helpful. I am still losing after having 'gone solo', thanks to JC and Clare. Come on you men, get motivated and get into the scheme! JC has helped me well on the way to losing my final stone.
I only had to lose half a stone before I went on a cruise on the 14th April. I knew that Diet Chef worked and lost the same amount in a month last year but your food was so much nicer and the menus much more interesting - actually you didn't get menus with Diet Chef! Should I ever need a quick fix again I'll be back!!
My personal experience is that I felt all the evening meals were very 'tomato' based which became boring and a lot of the time I felt I was just eating pot noodle type snacks. I craved for some 'real' food, i.e. fish - salmon, mackerel, fresh grilled chicken
etc etc. Th breakfast pots were ok and handy to take to work. Soups were ok, though it was sometimes difficut to empty the contents out of the 'bags', having to scrape inside the bag, however, his can't be helped. Although my calls to discuss how my plan was going, never seemed to be at the right time and when rearranged they did not always come back to me or it was a different person, who, always seemed to tell me everything I already knew. Also, the calls also seemed to be from young girls who I imagined to be very confident young women with no history of emotional eating and probably deep down not very sympathetic to my plight. I think women a little more mature would be much better paired with older women on the phones who have had some life experience with the trials of weight gain/loss. Would not join again.
I have had one of the best experiences with Jenny Craig, I have had two consultants in my time and they have been brilliant, really supportive and great especially then the motivation begins to dip.
I am on my second return to Jenny, not because I didn't like the programme but circumstances didn't allow - however, what my consultant Becca taught me in my first trance of Jenny regarding portion sizes and developing my understanding of certain food types eaten together e.g portions of carbs and proteins enabled me to maintain the 44lbs I had previously lost, which I was really please with.
I returned to the programme because I wanted to shift the remaining couple of stone. I have again had a wonderful consultant called Lea who has started me back on the programme and already within 3 weeks I have lost 1/2 a stone which is fantastic. I think that has to be the real bonus of the programme - I don't have time to go and sit in a meeting once a week and talk to other people, I don't really want to share my weight with anyone else, but Lea and Becca were a non judgemental voice on the end of the phone who were motivating and were equally proud of my achievements as I was.
The food works well for me. I have a very busy life, I work full time and I am a single mum. I have a very high powered job which means I don't really have enough time for me, and the majority of my time is spent around my daughter and work commitments. The food is great as it means I just have to ping it into the microwave, some food lend themselves naturally to salad, but with modern technology it doesn't take too long to pop some veg in the microwave and dinner is ready.
It is amazing how you can train your mind and body to want different foods. You will find you have your particular favourites and there will be others that you will dislike, however, the bonus is you can change your shopping choice next time your food order comes.
I love the fact that you are notified by mobile of the time your delivery is due and you get to change the date and time if not suitable - great for working mums.
I know that the Jenny Craig programme is not cheap, but it has worked for me, the fact that you put an outlay out makes you want to succeed.
I began this programme as a size 20 I am now fitting into a size 14. I initially started the programme 9 months ago and gave myself a break of four months between. I have been really impressed with everything with the programme - one of the biggest bonus' is you never feel hungry, I feel fitter and less tired, I actually feel better about myself (people make nice comments!) - my key to success water and sugar free jelly!! - and the girls at the end of the phone - inspirational and motivating.
The consultant was fine but due to a variety of circumstances I was 2x weeks overdue ordering my 4th hamper & received a very rude "one size fits all" letter which was unsigned and undated TELLING me that as I 'd not bought the 4th hamper on time all my discounts were to be removed.
When I started this program I thought I was dealing with a caring company but now realise they are just a high pressure sales outfit - very poor
I was getting to the stage when I felt so down I did not want to go out anywhere. My confidence was at its lowest. I had to do something, the more depressed I got the harder I found it to loose weight. I kidded myself I was doing everything in my power but I knew deep down I was not. I took the plunge and Phoned up. The person I spoke to on the phone was a man, but he was so professional and listened to me. I never felt embarrassed, I thought I would..
I ordered from a large range of recipes. It was delivered when specified.. I started straight away and hey presto! The first week I had lost 4 pounds, I was elated and that gave me the motivation to carry on.
I lost 1.5 stone in total and it only took 2 months. Sounds a long time when you are desperate but I can honestly say when you start loosing weight the time flys by. Perhaps because you feel happier and prettier than you have for years.
Jenny Craig was the best thing I had spent my money on in years.
Like the food, but the. Computer generates the menus. If you do not like some of the food, the computer can give meatballs two consecutive days. Therefore when you get theme is, you have. To cut. Them all up, and take a lucky dip each day. By doing this, you miss out on the page on the back of menu.
They have also change the packing so the cereals are put on top of one another and crushing the ingredients. They used to stack them behind one another.
I have mentioned this to the people on the other end of the pone, but noting has changed. It is expensive and it would be better if the people just browsed through the menus and adjusting them , before printing them off.
All in all this diet is spot on, very professional, supportive and effective. If any criticism, it would be that theres far too much surplus food laying about. Although most of the recipes are delicious you easily get fed up with the same ole same ole and miss regular meals.
Above considered, I would recommend Jenny Craig to everyone, if they can afford it.
I started with Jenny Craig on 25th July 2012, with a target to lose 2 stone.
The food supplied was very very good indeed, and very varied.I loved it.
I can't remember when I reached my goal weight exactly, but it was about November, and I have maintained my weight (with a little bit of up and down in that time) and have kept the 2 stone off.
Now the better weather has started I will be able to increase my exercise a little, which will give me an even bigger benefit.
Target reached with good food and great support. Maintenance is now the most important aspect for me and Jenny Craig through Alex my consultant is helping me to stay on track.
I would recommend Jenny Craig as a weight loss program that works and I am qualified to say so having tried the majority of the others before with much less success.
Jenny Craig has been a platform for me to stay on track of my diet and steadily loose weight. I have found it a healthy and sustainable way for me to meet my goals. With the help of a personal consultant who speaks honestly and open to help me battle the emotional side of eating. I feel happier eating Jenny Craig food than starving myself or consumed in loads of time preparing complicated meals that are tasty and balanced. The food is tasty and varied and I can concentrate and focus on other areas weight loss for example exercise and issues with eating out at social events. Overall I have found Jenny Craig the only diet that works for me and we are lucky to have such a product on the market.
Thank you for your direction and mentoring - couldn't got as far as I have without it. Support was encouraging without patronising - and it was good how my shame was shared when I had a momentary lapse which encouraged me to get right back on it.
I enjoyed and benifitted from loosing weight on the program and am very grateful to Anna for her help and guidence. I will be honest and say I have gained a little weight lately ( put it down to the very cold weather ) but know how to correct it , once I get my head in gear. The other day I did wonder if I could have a months food supply to kick start me again or would I have to rejoin again?
So in answering this survey maybe you could let me know what is possible please.
I have been with Jenny Craig for nearly a year now, once you get used to this different way of eating; you can see how easy it is to prepare the meals and how convenient they are to store. Everything is done for you, from ordering to door to door delivery at a convenient time for you. Even the ordering is done very quickly and efficiently and eventually you can start picking your favourites, which can be swapped around to suit you. There's no real weighing or measuring involved, so that you can think about other things like 'how to be more active'. Its even helped me a little bit with my food allergies, and the meals definitely make you feel fuller for longer. The staff on the phone are very positive and enthusiastic, and you end up getting quite close to some people. All in all its one of the best eating plans I've ever been on and be even better if they had sandwiches as well. "Good Job!" as the Americans would say!
Easy as food is always available so impossible to be eating or cooking the wrong type of meals as you don't have the right ingredients in.
Meals are both tasty and satisfying but after 3 months can become boring the range needs to be bigger and recipes sent when combining jenny Craig with cooking and preparing your own
Puts you back on track for portion size as my breakfast cereal in take was definetly previously too much now I am back to what it should be

I have tried numerous diets over the years, some worked when I was younger. But having gone through 'The Change', weight is harder too lose.
Having too cook for numerous numbers each evening, Jenny Craig was perfect for me. Actually looked forward to my own meal. Even on a Saturday night when my family had Chinese, I had my 'Jen' meal.
The only recommendation I would like too suggest to Jenny Craig, is too allow a client that has reached her goal. Evening meals are the easy part, breakfast, can do porridge, but amounts differ. What would be really helpful, if Jenny Craig let clients buy just breakfast and lunch. I found the lunches really useful.
Please try it, it does work, I have lost three stone.
I wouldn't choose Jenny Craig because it is too expensive and I didn't lose any weight. I have used 'Weight to Go' with good results.
I was quite surprise on how easy I was to follow the plan, never felt hungry....although some of the texture were a bit funny, the taste was great, you will need to try in order to know what you enjoy most....
If you have a busy life with no real time to stop and think about buying and eating the right foods in order to lose weight and keep it off, then Jenny Craig is the weight loss programme for you!
The team are approachable, understanding and helpful. They also have a strong knowledge base when coaching you about food. They do what they can to make their weight loss programme a easy as possible.
The understanding relayed by my weekly consultation gave me a real understanding of what I was striving for and showed me the way!
My mobility problems enthasised that this programme could be the answer to many people that suffer from dabilitating illness i.e,arthritis,back problems not to say the obvious current health problem of this nation, obesity.
After a few days. When you've got use to smaller portions than you normally eat. You dont feel hungry. (well l did'nt)
Food quality. Spot on.
I felt so much better when I was on the diet, because I was probably eating better quality food.

It's been nearly a year since I began following JC and have steadily lost weight. I followed it for just under 5months and have managed to effortlessly keep the weight off. I've never done that before with the countless diets and weight loss programmes I've followed in the past. The JC consultant, Cherry, was brilliant and I wouldn't have had these results and on going success if it wasn't for her. She's marvellous! A real asset to the company.

I originally found out about Jenny when I was living back home in California from my Mom who did the program and lost loads of weight. From there I decided to join and do it with her and in 6 short months lost 60 pounds!! But, however when I hit my goal weight I was promoted to the UK a week later and to no fault of my own over 4 years gained it all back and when I started the program again in the UK I had stepped on a scale in years and ironically I started Jenny again in the UK at the same weight I did the 1st time I was with Jenny. I am happy to report I am heading back in the right direction and since starting the program in February I have lost 32 pounds!! The Jenny program I have always found to be easy and never struggled with it and never really find myself hungry. Us guys are good at following instructions and the program works with my busy work life. Jenny tells me what to eat everyday and I just eat it. Nothing special just follow instruction with a little exercise and you are on your way. Thank you for all the support through the process and for keeping me in check with my weekly support calls. 56 more pounds to go to hit my goal weight and I predict I will hit it by end of the summer. Couldnt believe I lost a total of 2 stone with Jenny Craig, in time for a wedding.
Not just any wedding...
39 years ago I gave birth to a daughter but decided to give her up for adoption, having only known her father for a short time. I never regretted my decision.
31 years later she got in touch with me. I had married and divorced her father, but had had another daughter 5 years her junior.
April 2013 saw her get married, her father and I were guests and my younger daughter was a bridesmaid.
Well, I couldnt go there not looking my best, could I?
I have found the programme easy to follow, but over dependant on convenience pre-packaged items. The telephone support is not really my style, and I have not found it helpful. My main complaint is too much arriving together. One week at a time would be more manageable.
The content has too little protein and is not tailored enough for various diet needs. No response to my queries about excessive carbs for a sedentary lifestyle (enforced not chosen)
