to avoid paying an additional £28 to reserve seats and in the knowledge that Jet2 say that online check in will seat 2 people together I am trying to check in online for flights to Tenerife. The allocated seats are never together as Jet2 apparently fill all single seats first. This means that copuples could be in different rows or one sitting in seat A and the other in seat F. Appears to me to be nothing more that a means os extorting a further few quid out of thier clients. Even though there may be empty seats on the flight cabin staff will not allow you to occupy them why?
I bought flights to lanzarote and decided to pay extra for extra legroom. On the way out, brilliant, on the way back, disastrous ! The RHS of the forward cabin were just normal pitch, useless.
Cock and bull excuses about configuration changes of the aircraft takes away half of the extra legroom. AND JET2 were still selling extra legroom at check in according to the ticker. So it was a flight of two halves for me. Going out great, coming home, a nightmare. I'm not sure of the legality of changing an aircraft's configuration after selling extra legroom which now doesn't exist but as far as I'm concerned it's an absolute disgrace. It's all very well giving a refund but i need the extra space and because I'd booked and payed for it I should have got it. BEWARE of promises !
My recent flight to leeds bradford with Jet 2 was a very pleasurable experience and will def use this airline in future as i was exceptionally well treated both with boarding and collecting luggage with no long waiting time at the airport .
I flew to Rome with Jet2 recently on the recommendation of a friend. The flight times from Manchester were excellent. It was easy to book online and a competitive price. The baggage allowance wasn't a huge factor as I travelled alone but at least I didn't have to worry about weighing my luggage. The staff were brilliant and it was a real pleasure to be looked after by such friendly, "down to earth" people. Jet2 will be my first choice when I go to Europe again.
I have taken many flights in my time, but never have I received such amazing customer service, all other airlines should take a leaf out of your book as being polite doesn't cost anybody anything. For my next flight I’m sure to check out you first and leave that dreadful Ryan Air to last. Keep it up.
recently went to tenerife with jet2.com , hassle free holiday from booking lots of emails before travelling with good info. Easy to check in online.to returning home. best organised company I have travelled with by far for short haul destinations. Airport departure very good, comfy planes , good service in tenerife airport, transfers very good (private taxi) . Have already got another holiday booked with them .
Comfy seats. Even the not extra legroom have enough legroom for myself 6.2ft. Onboard food very tasty. Great selection of drinks! Very helpful friendly staff!
The allocated seats never happened, but I believe this was the airports fault and not Jet2. Maybe Jet2 could have had a back up plan incase this were to happen as people were annoyed after they had paid for additions such as extra leg room.
We were recently travelled back from Tenerife with Jet2 having travelled out with Ryanair. Despite having paid similar prices the differences in experience were remarkable. We didn't feel like being part of a 'cattle market' and the baggage allowance is so generous. Trying to keep costs down with Ryanair we opted for 15kgs which just isn't enough ( well for me anyway) this also leads to stress when packing for the holiday trying to decide what is needed.
The flight was good, we left on time and found our seats to be comfortable and not too cramped. Having allocated seats also helped, although some choice at the booking stage would be better for us as we like aisle seats. The cabin staff were very pleasant, although there were far too many announcements trying to sell goods. This was the first time we have flown with Jet2 and in the future they will definitely be our first choice of airline we feel they are a 'quality budget airline"
We found our recent flight to Lanzarote to be a friendly stress free experience.Our bags were booked in on line and meals and seat allocation completed then so we knew where we were sitting and what we were eating. Baggage allowance was generous too. The meals arrive first before anyone else and were very nice on both trips especially the sausage, mash and peas on our return with fresh fruit and sticky toffee pud. At the airport the bags took about twenty minutes to drop. Airport security was then a nightmare with two hour queues meaning no time at all to shop or get a coffee before boarding. If have to fly into the north of England then I always use Jet2 if at all possible. My usual airline is B.A. into Gatwick. The only way Jet2 fall down is by not treating their business passengers like business people.The things said on board are dumbed down to package holiday style announcements. The fact that Jet2 rescued all their passengers as necessary when there was the 'ashcloud situation' impressed me greatly and I have thought a lot of them as a company ever since this event.
This is my favourite low cost airline. They don't charge for extras such as online check-in or booking with your debit card. You are also allowed to take a decent size piece of hand-luggage with you.
A good choice of food and beverages is available on board, so there is no need to put up with old fashioned, dried up airline food. Staff are friendly and the seats are comfortable. The only think I don't like is the on-board sales pitches.
I would pay more for a Jet2 flight over the lower quality Ryanair product every time.
This companies staff went above and beyond the call duty to ensure our two families ( eight people ) were able to get back to the uk after we were abandoned flightless and lanzarote airport by the abysmal travel republic . com so called holiday firm. Without their knowledge and know how of the workings of the company and the change in aircraft due to high winds above Portugal, our group would not have got back to the UK for two more days. Top staff, great company for training them that way, top marks
Ryanair's boarding procedures have got worse and worse. Priority queues,some reserved seats, other seats cordoned off etc etc ...their boarding process creates a bad atmosphere and competition amongst passangers. So much so, that it is becoming a safety risk in my opinion. Where as Jet2 allocate you a seat when you check in online. A much less stressful boarding experience. There is more leg room with Jet2 and less crowding. I felt like a valued passenger, as oppposed to sardine! Thank you.
Great to have low fares, with the peace of mind that you're not going to be fleeced for that extra kilo, or have to pay extra to join the race to grab seats together. All the benefits of a full-fledged carrier at low cost.

Travelled recently to Paris using Jet2, booking online and selecting flights and departure airport very easy and straightforward. Online check in was excellent and baggage handling at airport was so quick and easy. After arriving at airport and depositing our bags we were through to security and departure lounge within minutes. Would certainly recommend and use again
On my recent return flight from Alicante to Glasgow our departure was delayed due to the late arrival of the flight from Glasgow. When we boarded the plane the pilot told us this was because they had departed from Glasgow in time but had had to divert to Gatwick to offload a passenger who had been taken ill during the flight and needed medical attention. It` s good to know that when the chips are down the best interests of the passenger come first. I`m sure we would all hope they would do the same for us.

Jet2 have many of the features of other budget airlines, but are way, way better. Travelling with 3 young children can be challenging at times but everything went brilliantly thanks to the lovely staff and uncomplicated procedures. Wouldn't hesitate to fly with Jet2 again.
I have regularly flown with Jet2 and, to be honest, the service was pretty good. As a regular traveller with them, I joined My Jet2 to collect points for free/ reduced flights. This included Lanzarote (were we go to a few times a year). I was in the proess of booking another trip for November when I found out that I could no longer gain points when travelling there. Additionally it makes the points I already have almost worthless unless I choose from a limited number of other destinations(which I don't want to visit). Perhaps I would have accepted this change had they e mailed their "valued" customers about it as they already send inumerable e mails trying to get me to use them.
In all honesty I am very disappointed with this company and will now look at others (which are generally cheaper) rather than continue to show loyalty to Jet2
Having been too frightened to fly for many years I decided to book a flight to Paris with Jet2.com to see if I could cope.
The quick and non intimidating check in and security procedures and the friendly staff meant I was airborne without any hassle. I actually enjoyed my flight and looked forward to the return trip.
I intend to book many more flights with them as I trust this Airline and like their approach.
Well done Jet2 - I recommend your on line clear booking system and excellent service to other timid travelers. Come on folks give it a go - you will be fine.
I just can't envisage flying with anyone but Jet2. They operate from Leeds Bradford airport to all the destinations I want to travel to. They are competitive in ticket prices and the cabin crew are so good. I just wish that they would enforce their cabin bag size. I get so cross when they allow people to board with cabin luggage that is so obviously bigger than their limits. I pay to have my luggage in the hold - so should everyone else. Jet2 is missing out on a lot of revenue.
first time we have flown with jet2 and all in all we found evrything to our satisfaction. Boarding was effortless. Flight was very comfortable. Staff highly efficient and well presented. Aircraft was clean. Seats were comfortable. It was the same on our return journey. Would certainly use jet2 again . in fact hope to use them soon as we have an invite to a Spanish Wedding .
I love the static seats on Jet2. This innovative feature ensures that no passengers are left crushed for the duration of the flight - a real boon if you are tall, have leg problems or have a history of DVT.
I wish all airlines would adopt this feature.
I have travelled on most if not all budget airlines and to date, Jet2 has been the most cost efficient, comfortable and all round pleasure to travel on, helped in no short measure by the friendliness of the cabin crew.
Great flights both outward and return. Left on time and arrived at destination half an hour early. On return we left early and arrived on time. Friendly and efficient crew. Plenty of leg room for my 6ft tall husband. Looking forward to next flight with Jet 2. Very impressed!
What a change to have service like this on a Budget Airline, but why not. It does not cost anything to be pleasant. I missed the organised structure of Globespan boarding but Jet2 has addressed this issue. Shame Jet2 does not do Malaga during the winter, even once a fortnight would be good. Keeping customers loyal throughout the whole year I think is important.
JET2 ARE interested in their customers - others will take note if their numbers fall.
It's a real pleasure flying with Jet 2 after flying with other budget airlines who make you feel quite anxious, particularly prior to boarding regarding weight/measurement of luggage.
Would highly recommend Jet2 for time keeping, quality of service and comfort.
Just returned from holiday and the flights were excellent. The friendliest check at Manchester airport, cabin crew totally professional and return journey just as enjoyable. Will be using Jet2 again in April 2013 and would recommend to anyone.
First time with Jet2 and impressed all the way. Reasonable price for extra legroom seats (proper section on Boeing 757, not just emergency exit seats). On line check in worked great with no delays in bag drop off at either Manchester of Lanzarote. Very friendly on board service by helpful cabin crew. Loved the non-reclining seats! - no problem for a 4 hour flight and was able to read without person in front reclining seat back into my face. Good hold and cabin baggage allowance.
Would most certainly travel with Jet2 again.
Despite the fact our outward flight was delayed due to problems with cabin pressure, I found the overall experience with Jet2 highly satisfactory. We did receive a £10 voucher for a meal because of this, so no quibbles there and I'd rather fly in comfort and safety. Everyone involved from booking to returning home was pleasant and courteous. The prebooked meals were very tasty, the planes were spotlessly clean and the staff at the airports and in flight were lovely. We had no queues to endure as we checked in online and were able to get our baggage dropped off within minutes of arriving at the airport.
I'd reccomment Jet2 and would certainly fly with them again.
I wish Jet 2 flew to Toronto because each time we've used them they have exceeded our expectations we really haven't had any reasosn for complaints they truly do an excellent job .Thankyou so much Jet2
