My legs turned to jelly when we discovered we'd left our passports at home!!! With any other company we'd have missed the flight!!! Jet2 were kindness itself. The rest of our party went through security and Jet2 staff kept going between the 2 giving updates.They allowed us to go through security later than any other airline would have. I can't thank them enough. We'd used them before - their 22kg baggage allowance and free airport parking is brilliant. Travelling with my 90 year old mum a very small airport is ideal - she hates airports. I've already booked 2 holidays for next year - unfortunately Jet2 didn't go to either destinations but I'm so grateful and so impressed that , in future, I'll check their destinations first as Jet 2 are far and away my favourite airline!!!
i have used these guys several times.always provide you with a superb service and all that with a smile.nothing is too much trouble for them and they really do seem to enjoy their work.i will continue to use them when ever possible.my first choice always.
the aircraft are modern and clean as well as comfortable.
Having flown Ryanair (ughhh), and Easyjet (OK), these guys seem so much more friendly and efficient.
Booking, choosing the various options (seat position, meals, baggage) and boarding were all simple online.
On board there was plenty of legroom, and the overhead lockers were roomy.
Two criticisms: even though we'd checked-in online, we still had to queue at specific desks to hand over the luggage; apart from saving £17, there was no advantage. There were a lot of emails between booking and take-off, that didn't tell me anything I needed to know.
Overall we were pleasantly surprised with the experience, and they will be our first choice in future.
Jet 2 from Leeds to Ibiza. Great airline and crew. No flight delays. On line check in saves time at baggage counter at Leeds but could be speedier in Ibiza. Have used Jet 2 for many years and rarely have any delays or problems. Highly recommended
I had great service from the crew but please could all airlines request that people use headphones with MP3/games devices? I had to listen to Josh's choice of music and his games booming and hissing. How do I know the boy was called Josh? His father kept saying as we were making our way down the runway "Josh you must turn your phone off" in the most pathetic voice that I would have been surprised if Josh had listened.
Had a great flight to and from Malaga from Leeds Bradford on our recent holiday. Always impressed by the friendlyness of the Jet2 staff at leeds and in the countries we have visited. I always check and try and travel with jet2 if I can. Keep up the good work.
I was VERY impressed with the Jet 2 staff - every single one from the girls at the check in desk to the cabin staff were very friendly and helpful and interacted with the customers. There was no queue at all at either end for checking in. The in flight food was delicious. The baggage allowance is great. Well done Jet2 - I would certainly recommend them and would definitely use them in the future.
Great customer service, planes with plenty of leg room, 22kgs baggage allowance, delicious in-flight meals! What more can I say? It's just a pity they don't fly to Malaga from Edinburgh for the full 12 months of the year. I go there 3 times a year and if they did, I would never be tempted to fly with an alternative airline.
I haven't organised many holidays, but Jet2's sign-on and online checkin system is well designed and easy to use. Their cabin staff were very helpful and professional on both flights, and the flight crew's messages were clear and suggested approachability. I was very satisfied with their service.
Whilst not being super slick, in terms of bookings and check-ins, Jet2 generally provide an efficient, friendly service, in my experience. And they're pretty reliable on times - we've not had any major delays in the last couple of years.
They're also not as petty minded as some of their 'budget' competitors, or even some of the big players I've flown with in recent years (eg a suitcase one kilo overweight doesn't require you to embarrassingly decant the offending kilo into your hand luggage at the check-in desk).
Prices are not super cheap, especially in peak periods, but they're competitive and, for my family, very convenient, being based at Leeds Bradford. Probably worth paying the extra for, to be frank.
Checking in and out online and at baggage desks was simple and efficient. Staff were friendly and polite. Comfortable flights. Unfortunately I received the wrong meal which was pre-ordered but I was hungry and accepted the variation which still tasted good.
Menu information for on board drinks and food not at every seat but able to view a copy from neighbouring passenger. Only these minor details for improvement, otherwise a good service and would have no hesitation to use again.
Booked Jet2 many times due to them offering the best value for money. Cannot fault the actual flight. Slightly disappointed that despite checking in on line due to having cases had to queue for just short of half n hour both ends of journey to hand them in. Seems that most Jet2 customers check in on line hence the queuing time.
Staff on both ground and air gave great service.
Will always look for the cheapest flight but if it came own to a few companies offering the same deal I would choose Jet2 first every time.
Travelling with Jet 2 was, from start to finish a stress free experience. The price was the lowest when I booked ( a rival airlines prices ended up being lower before we travelled ) but I would happily pay a little more for the friendly efficient service we received from booking to travelling. The flight itself was comfortable with nice leather seats and good leg room.
When we dropped our bags on the outward journey the man next to us had a problem in that his partner had gone ahead and he was trying to check her bag in. The man from Jet 2 behind the counter could not have been more polite or patient if it had been a celebrity who had the problem. Indeed all the staff at both airports had this manner. I fully intend to travel with them again as often as possible and am only sorry they have changed my destination time to a very early slot next year.
Our recent flight to Alicante was the 10th (inc. returns) flight with Jet2.com. We have never had a problem with booking, on-line communication, airport staff and on-board staff. The friendliness and efficiency we experienced inspires confidence, setting you up for business or pleasure. Luggage allowance is good and overall cost are reasonable.
First time ever to use this airline and found everything from start to finish a stress-free experience.
Found Jet2 from Googling cheap flights to Zante and as I always take into consideration baggage costs and allowance etc this one came out top.
Had to take flight from MAN which was a bit of a jaunt but they will be flying from East Mids from next year.
The on-line booking was a doddle and the check-in 1 month before put paid to any concerns I had about us not sitting together ( I positively refuse to pay for pre-booked seats as see it as a hidden extra that shouldn't be necessary)
We didn't actually fly on one of their aeroplanes, we got a French one. This was wonderful as it had extra leg room and we were very happy to see we had the same on the way back.
As we were flying to Zante we were unable to buy any duty free alcohol but the gifts and cosmetics that were available seemed well priced and had a sale 20% off.
There were also many offers available on snacks and drinks.
We have already recommended Jet2 and will be using them again if they work out to be the cheapest available.
I flew twice with Jet 2 this year and they were great both times even when there were problems outside thier control. In Rome there was a baggage handler's strike which resulted in half of the luggage not arriving at the destination. Jet 2 couried the left luggage up as soon as it was possible.
At all times i found them friendlfy and professional.
First time & definitely not my last! If they are going to wherever I want to go and preferably from Manchester, count me in! Beginning with a pleasant young lady offering help at the Manchester ground level check in, no queuing for the bag drop, punctual flights, comfortable leg room & friendly service, to the beaming smiles of the cabin crew (not painted on!) as I left the plane on arrival in Nice - a very relaxing travel experience! Wonderful to be already chilled for a lovely week with my family at their holiday home! No problems on return trip either. I would even travel to Leeds Bradford, East Midlands or Blackpool if my destination wasn't going from Manchester. 22kg bags wow! Others need to take note, especially "the one" that charges £20 for 15kg on the way out, then another £30 for the same 15kg on the way back! How does that work????? Jet2 get my vote!!!!
I am using Jet2 relatively often especially on my regular travels between Prague and Manchester for several years now. Never had any reason to complain - punctual, never had the flight delayed or cancelled, friendly staff, good service on board, good price for the ticket / related services (depending also on when / how early or late you book). Recommended!
We booked a holiday for Rhodes 3 weeks later 17 hours prior to the fight time we we told that the holiday was no longer available, my wife checked 1 week after we had booked, Jet 2 were still taking booking and the price had increased by £700.
At 4-30pm 17 hours before the fight time during a telephone call we were told of the problem we requested a alternative holiday and told we would be called back? at
5-15, 15 minutes before they closed I had to call them back myself? leaving 15 minutes to make a decision?????
Very disappointed we had packed, sorted holiday insurance, exchanged money, both booked time off work,booked a taxi etc.
This is the first time we have ever had an experience of this type.
I would strongly advise anyone looking to book a holiday to avoid this company at all cost, you may be very very disappointed by your experience. Please share this with your friends....................................
Just returned from a holiday in Turkey for which our party of 13 travelled with Jet2..
I was already pleased with the 22kg baggage allowance & allocated seats which removes all the stress from packing & weighing bags to the usuall scrum on other budget airlines as you scranble to sit togetherr. As we didn't pay extra for selected seats I expected for all our extended family to be seperated from each other, but was very surprised when we were all allocated together when we checked in on-line pre flight.
On departure we were checked in by friendly staff in Manchester & was really pleased by the leg room & confort of flight, and as others have said the non reclining seatrs ensures confort for all throughout flight. While I've travelled with Jet2 before for short journeys & long weekends, this was the longest flight to date & a vert pleasent experience it was.
We will definately fly Jet2 again & would recommend it to other travellers.
Recent family visit Manchester to Malaga, very comfortable with exit seats on the outbound flight (at no extra cost!) Sadly when booking I inadvertently skipped the option to choose seats for the return flight so we were split up. The kindness of another passenger allowed us to sit together.
We have previously used Jet2 and based on that and this flight, I very much doubt we will use another airline, unless it was significantly cheaper.
I would be prepared to pay a SMALL premium to fly with Jet2 in the future.
Leeds Bradford to Prague in April 2013. In summary, stag and hen do's everywhere. I was sexually molested, I wasn't able to see or hear the security briefing and a drunk lad ran up and down the plane during landing, and Jet2's response to my complaint was that everything on the airplane was 'in hand'. In more detail... Jet2 was our only airline option for the trip we wanted. My wife and I had to pay to sit together, which was overall to be expected (though still ridiculous), as we booked it somewhat late, and paid more than I would expect with Jet2 for our flights. Moving on... After boarding, we were approached and surrounded by a group of drunk lads on a stag do. My wife had seen them at the pub whilst we had lunch, and they'd had between 4 and 6 pints each. We overheard that two of them refused to pay to book seats, and they ended up behind us, whilst the rest were next to and in front of us! I told the stewardess that it was a bad situation, and we really needed to be moved as a priority. She said she would sort us out after take-
off. She never did. Jet2 continually served the drunk lads beer and spirits, and it just got louder and more obnoxious. (And nevermind that my wife and were going to order champagne to start our holiday off with a little something nice.) They started to interact with passengers around them. Nothing from the staff. A small hen to next to them were part of this ruckus, and when I got up to complain, on my way back one of them grabbed me inappropriately. She apologised in a drunken way, but with her friends and a drunk group of dumb lads on her side, I had little recourse but to cower back to my seat instead of tell her off. Next, the man from the stag do sat next to me spilled beer all over himself, and onto my new trainers. Formal complaints resulted in Jet2 and the Civil Aviation Authority both 'investigating' but concluding that nothing was wrong on the flight, and everything was in-hand. Next time, I am going to demand that a police report is filed for sexual molestation. Maybe that will force them to at least admit their staff are under-trained and under-qualified. Plus, their official policy seems to be to make as much money off of the sale of alcohol as possible!
I cannot believe to this day that after 2 complaints to Jet2 Customer Services, they just claim that nothing was their fault, and everything was 'hunky dory' on their plane. It was not a safe environment to be in!
Besides that, I'd expect some sort of an apology and even a voucher or something for what we were put through, even if only a nominal amount!
Just returned from majorca. This was the first time we have used jet2 and I can say hand on heart they were fantastic. Everything you could want from a budget airline and so much more. Plenty of leg room, comfy leather seats, ingenious cup holders which mean you don't have to have your tray down just for a drink! They have also thankfully done away with the recline button which means you don't end up with your dinner up your knose. Best of all is the fact they still give you the option to purchase a proper hot meal, this felt like manner from heaven at 7am. Have already recommended to all my friends and family. We will certainly be booking with them again very soon.
We've used Jet 2 for several years to fly to Malaga and Corfu. The booking process has always been simple and easy to do on line and the staff at check-in and on the plane are always very helpful and friendly. On board food is good standard whether meals or snacks. We always look to use Jet 2 when flying abroad.
Jet 2 have gone up in my estimation. The new aircraft gave me brilliant leg room, were extremely tidy and clean. The crew couldn't do enough for you.
I am a regular flier on both scheduled and package holiday aircraft, for both leisure and business. Jet 2 are now one of my favourite airlines, providing I go on their newer aircraft.
I would definitely fly with Jet 2 in the future. And will be using them again next year with out any hesitation. On arrival at East Midlands there were plenty of staff to help with check in and did not have to wait in a long line. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food is quite pricey on the flight for what it is but best to take your own and I was only on a short flight. The plane was clean and basic but you pay for what you get. There were no delays and the flight was very comfortable. I have already recomended Jet 2 to my family and friends.
I will always book Jet 2 for low cost flying as my first choice, I have taken 20 flights so far this year and so I know what I am talking about. The food isn't great but its OK and prices are acceptable. staff are helpful and friendly and although you don't get all the frills with the big airlines it is a pleasurable experience flying with Jet 2, plus when I collect points I get a free flight so that's one loyalty club really worth joining.
So for my choice I will go for Jet 2, BMI, Easyjet and if I really have no other option Ryanair ! in that order.
Had a great flight to Faro from Glasgow on Jet 2 - directed to "checked in on line" queue, and was quick - unlike other airlines where you check in on line and then join a queue of 120 people who have not!
Baggage allowance is great, and allocated seats perfect for stress free travel.
Booking for my extended family this time earned me many more points towards free flights in the future. This is a fantastic way to keep your customers loyal and happy too!!!
I look forward to travelling again with Jet2 in the not too distant future!
flying from edinburgh the baggage handlers are excellant and care is taken with the luggage BUT flying from prague the baggage handlers could do with lessons on how to handle luggage as my walking aid was severely damaged due to the way it was handled. I am disgusted. it is the only cmplaint i have but the service lets down Jet2 and should sorted out
Having recently returned from Tenerife, I must congratulate Jet 2 for a brilliant service all round.
It was my first experience of using Jet 2, what a refreshing change, from start to finish.
We flew from Blackpool to Tenerife South. It was an early morning flight, just me & my Grandson, Parking was a doddle, just turn up , find your parking space and enter the terminal, buy your £10 ticket (ADT) and check in, Clear the usual security check and straight into Departure lounge. A short wait, then a short walk across the tarmac and boarding. Having pre-booked meals on both flights ...within minutes of take off the trolley was round. Service was excellent and the food was good for airline food, edible and HOT !!
The flight outbound arrived bang on time, Praise to the Cabin staff, who were all friendly and efficient throughout.
Return journey was just as pleasant and arrived back almost an Hour early due to a strong tail wind, (Just a slight mix up with pre ordered meals, which was soon sorted out)
Entry into Blackpool Airport could have been slightly quicker i feel and baggage seemed to take a long time to get to the carousel.
But overall i think Jet 2 is now my leading choice for budget airlines and Blackpool hopefully could be my choice for Airport. ( i must add Blackpool Airport is currently under a development programme which may explain the delays)
For our flights the price was cheaper than any other airline and gave us better flight times. Also the service was fantastic, on time and nothing was too much troule for the cabin staff.
Fantastic is the only word that sums it up and I will be definately using them again.
