arrived back from alicante, to leeds bradford,had become very ill, made it known to the jet 2 personel a lady by the name of denise she swiftly arranged for medical help,first aiders, para medics,ambulance, and i was soon at leeds hospital, and have made a good recovery. yours sincerly peter boyne, jet 2 thank you.
I recently flew with my wife and adult daughter from Newcastle to Corfu. We had booked one large suitcase for the hold but on arriving we were generously offered the opportunity of stowing our hand luggage in the hold for free, this we took them up on. Very good! We were also pleasantly surprised by the amount of leg room and the modern aircraft which didnt set out to freeze you to death or have you gasping for oxygen.
All in it was a big thumbs up from us.
Jet2 is the only airline willing to take on flights from Newcastle to New York too, albeit in November/December - I'd love to see this extended to other times of the year, I bet they'd be fully taken up as it's a real pain having to transfer via Heathrow or Schipol - sounds like a good reason not to have a 3rd runway at Heathrow to me.
I few to Malaga from Newcastle in the last week of June... Good price and service both ways. Unfortunately, I took advantage of the 'cheap' car hire promotion on the Jet2 booking site - with excellent pricing - and the promise of fully comprehensive insurance...
Sadly so did a lot of other people -- and finished up queuing in the car rental hall for 2 hot and angry hours before reaching the Goldcar desk... There I - and many other people - had the usual haggle over paying 'wheel damage waiver' fees... or face the alternative of leaving a huge deposit on your credit card - despite the so-called fully comprehensive detail on the booking reservation form... That in itself delayed the queue even longer than necessary. With the excessively priced full tank of petrol and additional insurance charge the total price seemed little or no different to the usual alternative rentals... Certainly not worth the long wait - which totally spoiled the overall good impression of the Jet2 experience!!
We flew with Jet2 a few weeks ago to Alicante. The flights were a good time, we were in our hotel before lunchtime. Both flights were on time, the check in staff were great both ways. We checked in at the airport which was no problem, if anything the queue at the on line check in was longer. No problem with the luggage. I am 6' 2" but had loads of leg room unlike other companies have been with, we will definitely travel with them again
Have booked with jet 2 numerous times now, love the flight times. Booking is very easy, although wish we could use our points earned a bit easier. Other than that would highly recommend Jet 2 staff very friendly, breakfast is amazing, and love that they dont make a big issues over your luggage.
flight times are always brill and we left on time and arrived early. inbound and outbound.
Only prob i had was paid for 4 childrens meals coming home but unfortunatly their was a "catering mix up" and they weren't put on the flight. Therefore the children were given a cheese roll and I asked 3 times for a drink for them and i'm still waiting!
I would book with them again....
Booked early morning flights with Jet2 to Paris for Euro Disney. They have emailed to say they have changed the flights to the afternoon which was just short of a 5 hour time gap which is their policy for a full refund - funny that they have kept within the timescale so now we can't change our flights but are now missing almost 5 hours in the park which we have paid for! Changing the flght time we understand sometimes happens but their refund policy is disgraceful when it was their choice to change the times, not ours and I also agree with comment from another customer that I have just read - they don't reply to complaints or emails so there is pretty much nothing we can do about it. Will never use again and will be telling others the same
Our luggage was taken by a lovely young lady in Newcastle who was very helpful. This has not always been our experience. Also helped in Murcia by ground staff there when our luggage was damaged. Only disappointment is that Jet 2 have still not contacted us about it despite an email!
Terrible terrible company, for a budget airline very expensive. Even for their long haul flights they charge for meals and seat selection, which should be included. Try getting hold of their customer service and you will be in for a long wait, 60 minutes at least and still waiting(that's trying on a mid morning mid week, plus tried in the afternoon several other times). They are obviously short staffed but wait when I ring the booking line, I get straight through funny that. Emails go unanswered (From May) and I am still waiting for a reply to my complaint (3 weeks ago) all in all I think their customer service is appalling and they obviously don't care once you have booked!
We always travel with Jet2 from Blackpool. This year they added flights to Dalaman and we had a wonderful two weeks in Dalyan. Both the outbound and inbound flights were great and the staff were (as always) friendly and courteous. My partner felt unwell on the outbound flight and the staff really looked after him.
The planes have great legroom and the 22kg baggage allowance is the best out there. Overall, I would highly recommend Jet2.
Was pleasantly surprised with my recent flight to Nice with Jet2.com. The legroom is excellent and baggage allowance of 22kg well worth the money. Also impressed with the separate check-in area at Manchester and lots of helpful staff on hand to point you in the right direction. Shame we were delayed on the way home - with no real explanation and there was some rude passengers on board...Would definitely use again and also consider their package holiday deals if the price was right.
I have been very frustrated with jet 2. Their no refunds policy is more unreasonable than I had originally thought. After knowing we were unable to fly (a month before we were due to)... and a month after we had booked the flights, we were told that no refund would be offered - fair enough, that is their policy. HOWEVER, we were given the option to change the flights (and pay lots of extras) - great - hopefully we would be able to use them next year sometime. But no!! - You have to tell them then and there the exact day and time you can fly, pay the extra charges and any differences. After saying can we cancel them and have some compensation in gift vouchers as a gesture to use again I was told 'we don't do gift vouchers' That is untrue!! I was told i can cancel my flight... so they can sell it again, or i just don't turn up. Surely it would make more sense to give me a little bit of my money back (even if it is in vouchers), and they can sell the tickets again at a premium??? - I was then told that i could try and claim through my travel insurance (which i did also through Jet2), after saying 'yes please' they told me that i had to ring a separate department, cancel my flight and request a letter to be sent to their other department for a charge £15! Not happy - very unprofessional and unhelpful service. Will avoid using again.

I have flown with Jet 2 quite a lot now and I must say I have never had any major problems. Not once have I been delayed and the staff have been 90% friendly, haha I would be living if I said I hadn't met a grumpy one but we all have bad days . Only niggle I have is paying for seats together on short trips, don't mind on the longer trips because all air company's are on the ball with that. I also love the baggage weight much more than other flights in this price range. Well done Jet 2 another great flight from you yet again and thank you.
Great airline to fly with very happy staff. Loads of room on board and I am tall and I can still stretch my legs out. Great duty free offers on board and good selection of food & drinks. I have travelled with Jet2 about 3 x now and I will continue to use them. The baggage allowance is the best around with no extra charge. I have booked flights only and also a package holiday each time service was great.
Just flew to Palma with my husband and disabled mother. Jet 2 were excellent from checking in to landing! The attention was marvellous for my mum. The service on board was also very good. Pilot updates spot on. Will always try to use jet2 as the competitive airlines don't match jet2 or not even near!
I went to Dubrovnik for my sons wedding. I travelled with Jet2.com. Anyone should travel with them. Flights on time and no hassle at all. On board meals quite tasty, could do with a little more as it was very good, we had beef casserole. Pilot kept informing us of our progress and what our estimated time of arrival would be. Thought the flight would be long, but not at all, the time just 'flew' by. Staff were helpful and friendly and it really made my trip to Dubrovnik memorable
what a comfortable aircraft i travelled and im a very nervous passenger when flying.having just a little bit more leg room than other aircrafts made all the difference. the cabin crews smile was not painted on ! they were genuinely nice people and happy to help.would definitely be my first choice in choosing an airline.
First time I had booked with Jet2 this year after using Thomson for the last 10 years. I was a little concerned about using a budget airline for our trip to Rome a week ago, but I will definitely use Jet2 again. Very easy and quick check-in at Manchester Airport - Terminal 1. No big queues. Very friendly and helpful staff at the gate and the plane. Both outward and inward flights arrived on-time (in fact slightly before the stated arrival time on both ocassions). Flight experience was good and kept informed throughout. imho Jet2 are better than Thomsons. In the last few years Thomson have frequently been late, and their service is not as good as Jet2.
Flew from East Midlands to Larnaca. Informed customer services in advance that my son has a severe peanut allergy and expected to have to explain it all again to the cabin crew as is normally the case with other airlines. However, the cabin crew knew all about it and also the serious implications of someone opening a packet of peanuts on a plane. They couldn't do enough for us.
On the negative side, the cleaning of the plane wasn't too good. I found two peanuts on the floor next to our seat (amongst other litter) suggesting the plane hadn't been cleaned before we got on.
Overall, the admin, communication and cabin staff were great and the flight was on time. The cleanliness could be improved though.
I originally decided on the Venice flights on a Friday, as I was on duty over the week-end I waited and the flights had gone up by £300! Not a happy bunny but the price was still good. When I saw the seats I thought the looked pretty thin and flimsy and not at all comfy, don't be put off by the look!
They are really comfy and I have never had legroom like that with any of the other budget airlines. I usually travel to America with United and I had more room on the Jet2 flight. I have really long legs (34in) and I was able to cross my legs; my last ThomasCook flight I had to sit with my legs to either side as I couldn't even straighten them!
Would recommend to anyone, and will be back!!!!
I like the attitude of the cabin crew on Jet2 - they are friendly and helpful but they look as if they're smiling through a stressful working environment. For example, they took so long to do the food trolley round because they kept having to go back and make fresh coffee and tea. Very tricky to be rushing back and forth like that.
Additionally - this survey question they ask is pretty ridiculous:
"When booking this trip to Manchester, what would have been your preferred time of day to travel out on? (i.e. your preferred departure time from the UK)"
So are we talking about travelling to the UK or from the UK???
On the departure without notice when standing in the queue to get through security the lady from Jet2 starting shouting anybody for Faro need to get through ASAP. In fairness it did mean us skipping the long queue. The flight was still not due to depart for another hour!!. After running the full length of the airport then on to a bus which waited 20min!!!! We got on the plane only to find they had only started to load the luggage, we eventually left 15mins late!!!!! Flight to and from Faro was great no problems at all. On arrival at Edinburgh where it was pouring with rain we had to wait 10mins to get of the plane then got soaked, WHY DID THE PILOT NOT GO ON TO THE STAND LIKE THE REST OF THE JET2 PLANES??? Then the problems started we had to wait 55mins for our luggage to arrive on the carousel, when they did I arrive the cases were soaking!!!!, to say my wife and I were unhappy was an understatement as we're the remainder of the passengers . All information we got from the Jet2 ground staff was basically out of there control as the use Menzies aviation to deal with the luggage handling ? Simply not good enough!!!!
Overall very good service. Both flights however were delayed by 1hour. Outward communication was excellent by Jet 2. The flight itself was event free and the staff on both flights really helpful and cheery.
The only minus point was because of the hours delay on the return flight we had to wait nearly an hour for our luggage. Your representative on the ground at Manchester was only as good as her supervisor was directing via mobile which was appalling. The loudspeaker message to apologise was insulting. Could do much better.
However will fly with Jet2 again.
Had a great departure flight great holiday. Then the return flight set off 20 mins before departure with no name call outs and left me and my girlfriend stranded. The manager didn't care and had a really poor attitude. Apart from this, jet2.com was really good, but the return was awful, awful service! Not likely to use them again!
I used Jet2 holidays with some reservations after reading some bad reviews about the company. However I was more than happy with the service provided. The 22kg luggage allowance is brilliant, I went to Majorca with my wife and 18 month old girl and we needed the large allowance. The check in went smoothly and the flight departed on time. The air crew were very nice and we had no issues at all with our baggage. Our return flight was delayed 1 hour after the pilot found an error. However, we were more than happy to wait an hour rather than risk the flight. I cannot recommend Jet2 highly enough. I will certainly be booking with them for next year, this time without any reservations.
I have flown with Jet2 several times now and never had any issues. All staff have always been great. I have flown with several large airline companies, and can easily say that Jet2 have the friendliest staff. All my flight have always been on time, and in the majority of cases, we have landed early. Wouldn't fly with anyone else now :)
I have flown with Jet 2 a few times now and not had any bad experiences with them.Lovely friendly cabin crew who does all in their power to make sure you have a safe and comfortable flight.I also like the idea of booking specific seats for yourself as l like to be at the front of the plane in an aisle seat as does my boyfriend so we sit opposite each other but are near enough to still talk during the flight.
I have used Jet2 a couple of time know and they are very quickly becoming my fave holiday airline.
You see I fly every week for work and see all types of service levels from a vast array of airlines; the vast majority can learn a thing or two from these guys.
There fleet is reasonably up to date and the cabins are clean and well looked after. But what makes it for me is the cabin crew, they are very good and friendly at the same time.
Unlike some I can mention they care about their customers, of course they want your money, and they go out of their way to make doing business with them easy and reasonably painless.
Who can ask for more than a pleasant flight that arrives early with cabin crew who want to help and smile at the same time.. Pure joy .
I was pleasantly surprised that check-in for the flight from Manchester and return from Arrecife was very quick. Other airlines should learn from Jet2.
Unfortunately, on both flights the rear cabin was extremely hot (it reached 32C on the back row), whilst the front of the plane was cold (17C, with people using blankets).
On the return flight they had run out of ice, and the drinks were 23C (I happen to carry a digital thermometer for work, and had it with me!). I had bought the offer of 3 x 330ml cans of Magners Cider for £10 to try to cool down. My partner and I had one each, but couldn't face the third, so asked if we could either have a cold one, or return it for a partial refund. We were told this was not possible.
