Had a bad experience with just eat last night when away for the weekend. Had no access to emails so decided to do my homework before leaving home by putting the hotel postcode in where I was staying. Picked out a restaurant with a good hygiene rating and jotted down the phone number. Phoned them about an hour before I wanted to eat only to be told they were over 18 miles away and wouldn't deliver. Found another restaurant picked at random on just eat and sent in an order on my phone app asking them to confirm order by phone as no email. Immediately refused order with no explanation, just a text. Phoned customer services to complain but no use really. Apologised and said he would tell his supervisor. Agreed it was unacceptable when you put in a postcode and restaurants come up which will not deliver. Told me any money paid out would be refunded , I was paying CASH. Told him all I wanted was somewhere that would deliver food. He just kept repeating himself. I have only been in the area twice and don't have a clue where takeaways are which is why I was depending on just eat. Picked out another restaurant at random and sent in another order using my phone app, asked them to confirm the order by phone which they didn't. Googled to find phone number to phone to make sure food would be delivered, they assured me it would be there within an hour. Don't know how far away the restaurant was (passed the village on the way home and it appeared to be some way away) but although the food was delicious it was not very hot. In all it took me over two and a half hours to get food delivered.
