Brilliant system, always works well and it's easy to use. My only complaint is about some of the takeaways themselves, who give themselves good ratings. Has Nick from Devon really been to the same restaurant 5 times in a week, given everything 6 out of 6 but left no comments?! And he has only visited just after the restaurant has received an honest, negative review. What a coincidence! Shame there is no way to stop this. But justeat is brilliant and we have found some really great local restaurants that we wouldn't have known about otherwise :-)
I ordered food through the Just-Eat website last night as I had not eaten all day due to caring for my sick 6 month old daughter whilst my partner was away. I could barely afford to do this, but really needed to eat. When the food arrived it was completely inedible, and all squashed flat - plus the order was wrong anyway. I contacted their 'help' team who got the restaurant to phone me, whereupon the man at the restaurant was incredibly rude to me saying he was 'too busy' to deal with the fact that they had messed up - and he then hung up on me. The food had to go in the bin - I was offered no actual help by Just-Eat despite it being their website I ordered the food through - Their 'help' team are utterly pointless, there's one way the company are certainly wasting money - having that 'help' team who are actually completely unwilling to help with a clearly unacceptable situation. They could have offered me a goodwill voucher for the amount the food which I had to throw in the bin came to - that I could only have spent with their site - but instead, nothing - Just a feeling that I cannot trust this website to order from in the future =( this is very upsetting indeed.
Have used Just Eat for over 2 years and I love it because there is a high accuracy of the order being correct. No more phone jibber jabber and bad accents resulting in misunderstanding of order. When there has been an issue, it's usually the restaurant that calls saying they are out of an item, and offering a substitution. Just Eat Customer service was very polite and helpful. Overall, I continue to use them. In reading some of the reviews, sad that people have had bad luck, but it looks more like the restaurants in their area.
Anyway - great experience so far. Will continue to use.
i will admit that its a quick ordering system etc, but the problems arise when you have substandard food and there is nothing you can do about it except leave negative restaurant reviews bin all the food and go and buy else where.

I have used just eat for over a year, and never had a problem with them, well until today. Today however i decided not to order from the usual takeaways, and decided to go for some thai food. The order took ages to go through and when it did it was rejected, reason on email restraunt too busy. Restraunt called saying because they hadn't accepted the delivery the money would go back into my account, so just to go ahead and order from somewhere else. I thought fair enough, and made my order from another restraunt only to find my card was being rejected time and time again. i looked into my account and saw that the had been accepted by the restraunt and hadn't been returned. 1st i called just eat who told me the money will go back into my bank in 5-7 days, which i find is unacceptable. They can withdraw the money, but can't return it HHHMMMM so my money sits in their account gaining interest for them whilst my tummy is growling... So 2nd i call the restraunt who then explain to me that they are NOT even on just eat anymore and anyone who orders from this happens to as they have to reject orders. That they have tried to be taken off just eat but just eat won't do it. The thai pad where very polite and have an amazing menu, and couldn't apologise enough.
So i am sat thinking to myself after all these orders i've made and years of loyalty this is the way i am treated. That just eat will keep restraunts on who no longer want to be on just eat, who will have to reject their pre-paid cards and then the money disappears for abit.
The lesson i am taking from this is i will just be cooking myself, so i guess to all be careful, and stay local or your money might disappear for a bit too, and you might just end up sitting hungry....
They are so easy to use, choose what you want as In restaurant or ordering over the phone then pay as you would either by card or cash and await delivery. No need to talk to anyone and great if getting kids to bed for when we want a treat.
if you ever need food and don't want to go out for it use just eat I always do the ease of the website and the range of the different food options is second to none I recommend it to all
I don't know why people are complaining about Just Eat as a company since most of the complaints are about the takeaways themselves, I've never encountered a problem with the site having used it for years.
My only complaint is that the points system has been taken away, I had been saving them up for years in hope to get something decent from the pointshop and do feel a bit ripped off in that respect- at least what Just Eat could have done was give a money off voucher in return for the points. Some friends have stopped using the site because of this- if something was to be done about the points system I would have given 5 stars.
Always loved the concept and idea of just eat, the facts that it works is even better. Phoning takaways can be a pian at times e.g with communication with the people taking it, so offten get the order muddled up. Now this is a thing of tne past as it clearly states whats been ordered and so for. Just eat is everywhere now and makes life so much easier when you want to be a fatty. One tinny tinny problem well less of a problem and more a greedy idea is to hava a app for android it has been a while now since iso have had theres and I feel a little left out. Apart from that great company great offers and keep up the good work :)
Me and my family use just eat every time we order take away we have never had any problems using the site, It's a easy site to navigate around and the fact it has a live chat until 11pm is helpful incase you ever get stuck. I've never had any major problems with the takeaways we have ordered from had a few mistakes here and there but just eat always rectify it for us, people who complain about bad meals or bad service from the takeaway they have choose to use it isn't just eats fault if the service isn't great or the food isn't what you expected! Just eat is just giving you a simple and no hassle way of ordering food. Always a pleasure to use the site ordered way over 300 times been a member for a long time now good few years about 5 to be precise and will continue to use just eat would never use any other method of ordering food now just eat is here. Having looked at some of the reviews, I think I have faired well ordering from Just Eat. We used two takeaways in our local area and I can safely say I have had
none of the trouble that others have experienced. Food took a little longer to be delivered sometimes but that is more an issue with the take away people other than Just Eat. However I was told by one local takeaway just to order direct with them which maybe says more.
I've been a member of Just Eat for over 5 years and made nearly 200 orders with the site. I've always been happy with their service. For those people complaining about bad takeaway services I'd suggest speaking to your relevant takeaway, it's not just-eat's fault if an order is late or cold. The site makes it easy and hassle free to place orders with a takeaway using cash or card, there's no confusion about what you order as it's all logged down rather than any communication barriers over the phone or bad lines. I've reccommended the site to countless people and helped them to sign up on lots of occasions. Keep up the good work guys!
ordered from one place on just eat, and the order took over 3 hours to be delivered and gave a negative review and the company tried to get me to change it, otherwise very good service
Really upset and i feel a fool as i ordered again even when once i paid by card and i never got my money back, customer services told me it will come back to my account but they got a technical problem, i let it pass,but now, hungry and just hoe i decided to used my last 17 pounds to order a pizza , they took money but Pizza Pizza said they never received the order and asked me to call Just Eat... again.. money out of my account before the order had been acepted... what an scam!!! i will never use it again!!!
One take away even call me back to tell me to call them directly and not use just eat, he was very upset and i could not understand why, for a service that should make things easy it just made all more complicated, beware and if used, never paid by credit card , use the cash option and call the restaurant to confirm, so, you are better off calling your take away directly...

Food was delivered within 25mins. It takes that to drive from that resturant to my house! There is no way that food was cooked fresh. I contacted just eat using the live chat. The advisor Folabi contacted the resturant and said they was extremely un-cooprative and said it was cooked fresh! Absoloute crap! So ive wasted 25quid on cold preheated food.
Ill be contacting my solicitor within 3 days if Just Eat dont get this resolved for me. Absoloutley disgusting customer service.

Really upset as used just eat on numerous occasions but will never again. Placed order and had it accepted at 16:35. One hour later received a call from just eat to say take away I'd chosen did not deliver to my area despite knowing my full address when accepting my order. Was told by just eat to reorder my food from another take away but my money would not be refunded to my card for 2 to 5 working days. Although I could afford to pay again I chose not to as no guarantee I'd get food and I'd be even more out of pocket. In just eats vein thanks for making me cook
I made an order that was later cancelled when the takeaway arbitrarily closed earlier than the time stated on the menu. I was still charged for the order. I asked for a refund which takes a lot of time with my bank, and wasn't even compensated with a voucher by the customer service staff, which would be easy and fair for them to do considering they had taken my money, told me to wait patiently while they give it back, meanwhile I get nothing but a massive waste of time.
Edit: Also the guy on the phone was the worst customer service agent I've ever talked to. Just because you don't outright swear at a customer doesn't mean you have any idea what you're doing in your job. He was condescending, arrogant, and rude. Incompetence.
I have used just eat on numerous occasions and have been satisfied with the food and service but today has been the worst expirience ever. I order a takeaway from just eat at 9.20 and never recieved an email comfirmation so i decided to ring the takeaway up to see if they had got my food order. After 4 times of trying i couldnt get through so i tried to cancel my order. I phoned just eat to cancel my food after of over an hour of waiting and hour and half of waiting, just eat phoned the takeaway and told just eat the food had just gone so they wont be giving a refund. Another 30 minutes of waiting and the takeaway finally shows up and to top it all off the order was wrong. Didnt get a refund and will never be using just eat again
I feel compelled to leave a review regarding the service that i received from just eat, this evening. I ordered an Indian takeaway using their service order number 41108241. It arrived and it was abysmal, pretty bleak inedible food. The food went to waste as it was so unpleasant we couldn't eat it!. I immediately got onto the live chat with just eat customer service agent 'Stevie!' I thought as their customer i would explain the situation and see if there was anything they could do, i explained that i ordered the food with the expectation of receiving 4 and a half star food based on the star rating the website so clearly said the takeaway had. I advised them that i was unable to eat any of the food and i was really dis-satisfied with service, and on further looking at the reviews noticed most of the reviews also stated they were disatisfied with the service and yet somehow the star rating remained high! it took forever to get a answer and when i did it was the stock answer "Please bear with me a few moments while I look into this for you." a few moments turned into half an hour. i was advised that the takeaway had refused to offer a refund but a free meal next time i order, which im not likely to do. Stevie quite helpfully pointed out I" do understand Jenna, It is very frustrating however if the takeaway are not willing to give you a refund, I am afraid I cannot do so without there permission.

Which is great, what was the point in using your service. i should had just gone straight to the takeaway rather that using your company who im sure gets a cut of the money i paid to the takeaway. why offer customer service at all if as pointed out above i was never your customer. im really upset, i wasted money and time. Rubbish takeaway Rubbish Service!!! Stevie pointed out i should just complain directly to the takeaway which is great if i could get through!!! Just eat... just dont bother.
I have used Just eat on a number of occasions due to the ease of finding a takeaway nearby however tonight I have been let down by them in a big way! I have two children and my partner, we were all hungry and for the ease of it decided to get a takeaway through just eat.. I ordered food at around 7:50pm and the order was accepted, it said that the food would arrive at 8:55pm. The hour past and no sign of the food.. another 20 minutes goes by and its still not here!! I rang the takeaway who say they have had no order from just eat even though it said it had been accepted. I then phone just eat for them to also phone the takeaway and tell us they will have to re order the food and it would take a further 30 to 40 minutes!!!!!!!! So to sum it up I could have walked to the takeaway made the food myself and walked back faster!!! I would recommend if you want food either walk to the takeaway or get there number online and order of the phone!! Just eat can eat my a**.
A lot of people use just eat when they can't be bothered cooking. That's not necessarily the case with me, as I'm always willing to don an apron. But sometimes, we crave AUTHENTIC food, cooked traditionally or maybe there's not a lot of ingredients in the cupboards. We are a family of vegans, and Just Eat allows us to browse multiple menus , enabling us to find a restaurant that fulfills our needs. With this site, no longer do we have to try and make do with the few leaflets that have arrived through the door. Yes, we have had mediocre experiences, but on the whole the food always meets expectations. We were let down badly just once, and a live chat with the Just Eat team soon sorted things out. (A refund arrived a short while later- I'd chosen to pay by card on that occasion) I like ordering food online, when it's getting on a bit you don't always feel like picking up the phone do you? And I like the fact that you can get discounts from some restaurants- appreciated in these lean times. I also take time to read the reviews, and do my best to rate my meal. Will be revisiting Just Eat , that I can guarantee!
the logo is appearing everywhere (thankfully). I come in, can;t be arsed to cook or don't really know what I fancy when faced with a freezer packed with mismatched odds and ends. I fire up the lap top and I'm faced with people instramed pics of their dinner so JUST EAT is the only saving grace. Whack in the postcode and away you go. You're asked what you fancy then given some helpful suggestions, you then see who's open now rather than wasting hunger time on selecting from menus of places that don't deliver for another two hours!!! Click, read, order. It's tallied up alongside and so there's no hidden costly surprises and bam - jobs a good'un. Food on the way. Sated. Brilliant. Oh, and it's not costly either. I've not used the live chat, I'm saving that for a lonely, rainy Wednesday evening when there's not much on the telebox!!!

Just eat is perfect especially when you cant be bothered to cook, not only that for people who haven’t got a lot of confidence like me its so much easier and convenient to order online and you don’t have to speak to anyone unless there is a problem, which is not that often. We use just eat over all the other online ordering services due to the fact that is easy ad straightforward, we have been with them since it started, excellent service and you can tell the restaurants what there food is like which is always good as if there’s a problem you can tell them and they can improve on there services etc. We would recommend to anyone.
Just Eat has literally made my weekend. I no longer have to worry about the shops after a long week at work, i just get my I pad place my order and 30-40 mins ding (or knock in my case as no door bell!) theres our curry/chinese/pizza ect.
One of my orders had not gone through correctly so just eat called me straight away and sorted with my chosen restaurant.
Just Eat has changed takeways forever they are now bring in's.
You can even pay by card if you have no cash at home.

well I hate being on the phone cant stand it so just eat makes it easy for me to order my take away takes the stress away from having decide what you want you can all site round your laptop or pc pic ya bits you want put order request on the note bit before ordering and job done best thing since sliced bread
my partner and I usually order from just-eat once a week and I did today and I am still waiting on my order to be delivered. I didn't get a confirmation email and when I try to call them no one answers and their online chat is not working. The money has been taken out of my account as well.

i order from just eat on a regular basis from a restaurant in Portsmouth. Order accepted delivery time 45 minutes. 33 minutes later the phone goes, just eat the restaurant have rejected your order?? Why because it is too far to deliver?? i live just over a mile away?? meanwhile just eat ear mark the funds in your bank making it impossible to order more food, so once again left with no money and no food. This would be ok if it was a one off but it is not. I phoned the restaurant to discover the order was accepted by just eat on their behalf?? Why do they take your money or tie it up in limbo when they do not know if the food is available?? Why do they think it is acceptable to leave families with no food to eat or money to go elsewhere?? ordering a takeaway is supposed to be a treat, not with just eat!!
I orderd £25 worth of chineese food from off the sight... 45 minuit wate.... an hour later I ring the take away to fined out what was going on and they said they hadn't received our order!!! and now we have to wate an extra 45 min for our food to actualy come... but on the up side it has cost less!!!
Usually the site is great, but it went down just as was making an order; It looks like the money has left my account, but I'm unsure whether or not the order went through. I need help! And if the order didn't go through I would like some sort of refunding.

It is very nice to be able to order online, and saves disputes later as there is a record of the order and the time promised. Takeaways are rated on their performance which is a strong motivator to push up the level of service as they are competing on Just Eat for the top ratings.
You can pay by card online, or by cash at the door, which is another nice feature. I no longer order from takeaways that do not use 'Just eat'.
In short - the future is here and it's Just Eat! (The adverts are funny too)
