[REPLY]
I recently wrote a review about just eat and 'refused' orders as i have had a few orders in the past that were declined because i live too far from the takeaway.
It seems that takeaways can also refuse orders if they are too busy even though your card payment seems to have gone through i am not talking about the issue of the card payment i know that its a pending transaction and i will be refunded if the order is not successfull.
However i can understand how people using the service can get annoyed with this pay now see what happens approach but i can see that it is the fastest way to order when your order goes through and to be fair 98% of the time it does.
I also want to share some insight into those orders you place before the takeaway is closing and you are told that it is going to be delivered the following day i have almost had orders from two different takeaways because the first order was placed for the same night but went through for the next day so i ordered from the second and then got a call from just eat and cancelled the first one.
So what have i learned regarding using just eats service and how can i avoid refused orders the ones that are too far and too busy? or those orders that go through for the next day when you want them the same night
Just eat do not offer a how to use guide so here is what i have found and i hope it helps you save time and frustration and having to eat two orders when you wanted one (ok if its free-he,he)
How to avoid refused orders 'too far'
1.Use google maps to check that you are within a reasonable distance from the takeaway (tip:usually within 3 miles)
2.To save time doing this in the comments section when placing order say that you are happy to pay an extra £1 per mile
up to a maximum of £3 if you live over 3 miles i.e if you live 6 miles away you are paying an extra £3 for the extra 3 miles
How to avoid refused orders 'too busy'
1.In the comments section of your order say that you are happy to wait i.e 1 hr or give a specific time 'i would like this order no later than ...
2.Order your takeaway at least 1hr before you want it
How to avoid orders going through the next day
1.Order at least 1 hr before the takeaway closes
2.In the comments section say that it is for the same night not the next day
How to avoid your order going through as a collection rather than delivery
Takeayways closing times on just eats website are or should be the same as the closing time at the actual takeaway which makes sense but some takeaways will close earlier for deliveries and stay open later for collections and if this wasnt confusing enough
they may close 30 minutes before on the website than in the actual takeaway but because they are still open for collection
this is the time you may see displayed if this doesnt make sense i apologise i'm still confused myself. To be safe just order
at least 1 hr before the closing time displayed on the wesbite
me:hope this was a helpful 'review' if you have found it useful please leave some comments or reply i see a lot of hangryness (get it hunger+anger=hangry) directed at just eat i think

I order recently from a take away using Just Eat. Food was really good and delivery time was also good. I was annoyed that after the delivery had left the pizza shop to come to us, the staff telephoned to say their was a £4 delivery charge to pay, even though it said we had free delivery in our postcode and we had had exceeded the minimum of £12 to qualify for free delivery(£21 was our order). Spoke to a member of staff at Just Eat who was no help at all and just kept saying the restaurant can charge a delivery charge if the address is over 3 miles and would not entertain the fact that it does not say this anywhere on the site. My postcode covers a fairly large area but we are nowhere near the boundry. ok your probably thinking hes beefing over £4!!!! What a loser!!!!! Just would be nice to be told the corrct info in the first place. Will not use Just Eat again.
I think the vast majority of reviews for this company sum it up.
This is a flawed business model which relies on those at the relevant restaurants monitoring their emails at all times - which they obviously do not do.
30 mins waiting for our confirmation email (our money had been taken as soon as we placed the order). We then telephoned the company and got a very shirty response that our food would be another hour or so as the order had not yet been confirmed.
We cancelled our order as a result of the wait only to be told (again in a very abrupt manner) that the refund would take 6 days. Completely unacceptable. When we asked about this the extremely unhelpful person on the telephone told us this was our banks fault and that we should contact them - absolute rubbish.
Never use these people, always place the order direct with the restaurant.
After placing an order, receiving an email stating delivery will be AS Soon As Possible, no sign of order after 1 hour and then after calling the take away been told the order won't be delivered for a further 1.5 hrs as this is the time the take away accepted the order off Just Eat.
Contacted Just Eat who informed me that this was the time of the order and that I would have to "manually" yes manually check for changes to delivery time. It wasn't the take away company that changed the order to start with - the change was made and NO communication was made to me. A simple email alert would have solved the issue but nothing.
Contacted an operative on live chat who had a service attitude problem and kept bleating on about terms of conditions of acceptance of order and for me to keep checking the link regularly. After suggesting a simple email would solve the issue, attitude girl kick in with the usual "fob the customer off"
After speaking again to the take away company, they too are very very concerned that their reputation would be damaged by the lack of a logical alert to the customer - meanwhile muggins is still sat here waiting for my order.
Just Eat - poor service, poor system, poor customer service and not great for their clients rep! Poor show - shame on you guys. If your operative had been a little more attentive or showed some level of understanding of the flaw then this would have not been written!
It is now the third time we have not got our order delivered. And on top of that they have not even refunded the money. Moreover they do not even care to call us to inform about the delay. Have never experienced such bad service. Never order from this site.
I ordered my food late on a Friday night using my card. The website said my order did not go through so i phoned up the takeaway place and they said they would send another order. The order then went through the website after half an hour. So i figured i had already paid for it. My food arrived and the delivery guy said i still needed to pay. So i did, assuming they wouldn't charge me twice but they did. I still haven't received a refund despite contacting the takeaway place.
i find Just--eat very usefull as im very shy and cant deal with talking on the phone, had no problems whatsoever, dont know what i'll do without them
WARNING - NEVER USE THIS SITE... THEY DO NOT PROCESS ORDERS. LATE IF PROCESSED AT ALL!!!
THREE TIMES THEY TOOK MONEY FROM MY AND NEVER BOTHERED TO PROCESS MY ORDER - HAD TO RING UP AN HOUR LATER AND INFORM THEM... MONEY TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM MY ACCOUNT THOUGH...
COULDNT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO APOLOGISE... RUBBISH SCAMMERS!!!
BE WARNED!!!
Left waiting for over an hour and a half and then came across a helpdesk advisor that did not seem to have a clue about customer service.

Ordered food via their website, delivery was supposed to be at half past midnight, few minutes later, the website said 40 minutes past. Rang them at 40 minutes past on their super expensive 0844 number and they put me on hold for 15 minutes saying that they are not able to get through to the restaurant, until they said they finally cancelled the order. Miraculously, the food did arrive at 1 am.
Had no more balance to call the customer service and the restaurant was completely unreachable at the time, so waited until today to try and resolve the problem as I had ordered 'Chicken tikka masala' pizzas and they were SUPER SWEET, so sweet that no one was willing to even eat them.
Under their terms and conditions they say '1.5 Customer care is extremely important to JUST-EAT, therefore, in the event that you are dissatisfied with the quality of food ordered through this website, subject to paragraph 3.3 below, JUST-EAT will assist you, where possible, in seeking a refund from the restaurant to a maximum amount equivalent to the value of the original order. An important part of our quality control process is that consumers provide ratings and feedback on the website to reflect their experiences with restaurants. Please note that any complaint must be lodged with our customer care team using the method described above within 48 hours of placing the order.'
That is complete nonsense as all they do is call the restaurant and ask them if they delivered the correct order, and when they say they did, which anyone would do, they take their side and say that they tried all they can and they are not responsible for anything further and that they cannot help you?
It is true that the customer is always right, HENCE AVOID JUST-EAT because the takeaway is their customer, we don't mean anything to them!
By far the easiest way to order take out, can the website be better, probably yes but this is so much better then waiting on the phone or having a busy signal.
people complaining about delivery charges: well they are set by the restaurant not exactly Just-Eat's fault nor can they do anything about it.
same goes for late delivery's Just-Eats system contacts the restaurant and they reply back with an expected delivery time, if they are unable to keep it the restaurants fault not Just-Eat.
Their point shop however is crap and id really like for some decent rewards possible discount codes or something more usefull.
but from time to time there is things worth having (got a ps3 game a year or so back)
Aldrig aldrig giv nogle oplysninger hertil.
De har nu 5 gange misbrugt mine dankort oplysninger og hævet uden køb eller tilladelse, hver gang lover de at de har slettet alle oplysningen og at tilbage betale MEN DET SKER BARE IKKE

I rated this website 1 out of 5 because apparently your not allowed to give ZERO stars. This was the worst experience I have ever had online. I ordered my food at 10 30 pm. Upon ordering my food, I came to this website and read the reviews on the company, only to find all the bad ratings. So I decided I was going to cancel my order. Only to find out how unhelpful the website is in this matter. It says there is a live chat function where you send a message and it will respond. I Sent FIVE MESSAGES asking how to cancel and requested my order cancelled. WITH NO REPLY. Then the only number on the website is a number in toronto, where I called and left a voicemail. STILL NO CALL BACK. eventually my food showed up. THREE HOURS LATER WHEN I WAS SLEEPING. at 130 my doorbell rings, at this point im angry and not hungry. I told the driver i dont want the food and that it was cancelled. however my card was still charged, and im looking into a refund. THIS IS THE WORST WEBSITE. DO NOT USE, DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
Verdens bedste service og kører over hele verden!
Watch the delivery charges!!!!!
What a bad experience, I made an order which came to £11.50, paid by credit card and received confirmationm which included FREE delivery to my postcode.
Nope, I then received a telephone call from the restaurant saying I had to pay £3.50 delivery charge, despite my order confirmation.
I accepted defeat from the restaurant and contacted Yasmin at Just-Eat, who also told me I had to pay a £3.50 delivery charge........despite my order confirmation.
Just-Eat were not very helpful and accepted that the delivery charges are not correct on their website. All of the restaurants for my postcode showed a FREE delivery option, but this was not the case.
In summary a horrible experience that took nearly an hour to sort and I still didn't get any food. I had to resort to the old fasion method of driving to collect an order from somewhere else.
