Part of order missing, packaging poor and disorganised

ORDER NO: 3294
I have already emailed you to say the order was incomplete, with 1 (of 3) poles, 12 (of 42) rings, 2 (of 6) brackets and 4 (of 6) metal fittings missing. All 6 finials did arrive separately. Frankly, with all the different bits being sent in different boxes and packaged in different ways, eg some rings together with brackets in one sealed plastic tube, other rings & brackets loose in a box, it is not really surprising that items are missing.

We are sorry to hear that the order is not complete, and not as expected. The components will be delivered in separate boxes as the poles ordered are made to Order and not pre-packed in acetate as some of the cheaper pole sets available.
We need to check with the warehouse as from the telephone conversation we have just had, it seems the list in your review various components are not in the delivery, it now appears that you are 1 pole set missing, and this could be a missing box.
As we were not aware of the problems as you left an email on Friday night and out of hours, then reviewed our company, we have had no prior warning of problems, which we can assure you we will have rectified on Monday when the warehouse and carriers are available to contact.
It may be also worth mentioning to allow other readers to know, we delivered a made to order product on the 4th working day, which is a very quick turnaround, and it could be a simple missing or delayed box.
Surely this cannot be called disorganized.

As first thought the missing parts were simply down to a missing box, this box was in the carrier’s warehouse and was scheduled for delivery 29-4-13 or 30-4-13.
All the parcels were dispatched at the same time and unfortunately sometimes the carriers do have problems, unfortunately this caused a slight delay, but still a made to order product delivered in 5 working days.

The product was as expected, the delivery by UK Mail was rubbish.

The delivery failed and they uk mail kept telling me lies and even put the phone down on me. What was meant to be next day delivery ended up being 5days, not what was expected or paid for. I have written to them to see how they will answer.

The just poles bit was very good.

Good quality but pricey

Whilst the website was a little tricky to get round and the items were pricey, the quality is very good.
We needed a specific type of bracket which was diffcult to track down but Just poles had the solution.
Delivery is expensive but the items were very well and securely packaged and delivbery weas exceptionally speedy.
Would use Just Poles again if the budget allows

We are constantly upgrading the website software and at present looking at making the website easier to view and sort, this should be complete in the coming months.
The products purchased are extremely good quality and we are possibly one of the best val;ue websites available, as you pointed out we had the exact products required and they had been difficult to track down.
Finally the delivery charges of £7.50 are very reasonable, the goods were delivered by a courier and as you pointed out the goods were very well packed and quick, and unfortunately we have certain price constraints to achieve the service and delivery levels.

Just perfect

Very pleased with whole experience, tie backs arrived very quickly, colour was true to website and the were perfect for our curtains and fairly priced.

Superb Service

I was looking for a wooden pole, 2.4m, with the pole in one piece. Not being able to find it locally - not even in John Lewis - I actually found a choice at Just Poles and at an affordable price. I ordered samples for shade checking and these arrived quickly. Having ordered the pole, it arrived within 5 working days from the day of ordering. It was well packaged and just what I was looking for.

I would definitely recommend Just Poles for both the service and the vast choice of poles.

Wrong pole, but kept it anyway to avoid hassle of sending it back

Because there is such a vast range of curtain poles available from just poles, I carefully printed off the description of a wooden pole with chrome features and fixtures and phoned through my order. Unfortunately, the lady responsible had great difficulty taking down my order details. This might explain why I recieved a chrome pole instead of the wooden one I had ordered. But maybe it was a fault in the despatch area. Whatever the reason I now have the wrong curtain rail. However, the chrome pole is OK and rather than face the hassle of returning a 7 foot long chrome curtain pole, I have decided to keep it.

I will be shopping for another Jones designed curtain pole but probably not from this Company.

postage rip off

Paid £5 shipping charge and got £2.60 second class packet , very poor
Communications are also not good .
Product is exactly as described and good value , shame postage was a rip off and the company didnt reply to my "where is my order query" otherwise I would have been impressed.

We have a standard charge for small items which covers most singular or low value items, but on some occasions due to Royal mail prices we actually send parcels that cost us more than the shipping price to send.
You were emailed on the 9th April to inform you that the parcel had left us, your email on the 11th the day it should have been delivered.
Sorry you feel that the postage is expensive but I can assure you that Royal Mail is getting more expensive and many retailers will be increasing shipping charges.

Good product, good price, smooth ordering and delivery process

The poles are great and arrived within a week of ordering. I did ask for email updates but did not get a notification of dispatch and also the courier rang the door bell but did not wait so we were unable to check and sign for the parcel. Fortunately all was in order. More mysteriously I received 2 emails from UK Mail saying that my delivery might be delayed about an hour after it had taken place!

On Thursday 13th April you should have received 2 emails, one from the website asking you to log in and check the status of the order, at which point it would have shown that the parcel had been dispatched. The second should have been from the carrier, informing you that the parcel would be delivered the next day, we are surprised and concerned that this seems not to have happened, as the pre-informing is to help carriers and customers arrange the delivery.
We would be grateful if you could forward these emails top the sales@justpoles.com email address, we can then forward these to our carrier and find out if the system is not working correctly.

this is a great website, with hugerange of products. The prices seem reasonable / competitive. i called for some advice one product and it was easy to make contact to a person! The website descriptons could be a bit more uniform ie in terms of size or quality of products, otherwise all good. Thereafter my only complaint is the product took about 10 days to reach me and the shipping cost was on the steep side in reflection of this.

We have checked your order as you have stated slow dispatch, and found that the track was delivered on the 4th working day. As you placed the order on the Thursday before the bank holiday weekend the order was processed on the Tuesday of our return. The track was dispatched and delivered on the 4th April, which is the 4th working day. Our normal delivery is 3-5 working days, but bank holidays and weekends are not counted.
The cost of delivering parcels is on the increase, therefore delivery charges will be increased, but at the present time we feel the charges are value for money, as your parcel would be classed as a large item it would cost around £10 with Royal mail. Your parcel was delivered by courier, fully tracked and delivered within 24hrs of dispatch.
But thank you for the review and points, all reviews are taken seriously, and we do like feedback to help improve our service.

The poles took nearly two weeks to arrive. I rang up the company who promised me a callback in 30 mins which did not happen. I called the next day when they promised a call back the NEXT DAY which again did not happen. The order finally arrived the day after that.

On your second call, the advisor explained that the parcel would be with you by the end of the week, any problems they would get back to you. As the next day we emailed you to inform you of the update of the order, plus you should have also received an email form our carrier informing you of the scheduled delivery. As we try to keep communication between us, we try to use email, as it allows some form of paper trail, but we are sorry to hear that the delivery was not to your expectations.

Very speedy delivery

Good quality pole

Poor Quality

One finial would not screw into the end of the pole as the screw was too large.
The plastic runner holding the leading carrier was broken on receipt and the remaining part has now snapped rendering it useless. The cord mechanism therefore no longer works.
My order number was SG/109830.

The pole you have ordered is a made to order curtain pole and take 14 working days, your order is scheduled to be dispatched today or tomorrow. Unfortunatly weekends do not count in the working week, and this can somtimes make the ordering process seem a little longer than normal.

Excellent Service

The service provided by justpoles is exactly what you would hope; pleasant, efficient and obliging. I needed to ring up with two seperate enquiries, and each time the people spoken to were helpful beyond what I expected. The items ordered are lovely, and arrived quickly. Other companies could learn about true customer service from justpoles.

Very dissapointed with product and customer service.

Curtain poles were a completely different colour(dark grey) to the photograph (gold/bronze colour) on the website. Also delivery is between 8am and 6pm but the company couldnt provide a guide on when betwen those times the poles would arrive which isnt all that helpful(I have to go out to take and collect children from school for example). Our original order was on 28th Feb and as at today, 19 March I am still trying to return them as the customer service department at Just Poles havent responded to emails and when you ring up, they tell you to send an email to request a return! I wouldnt use this company again, or recommend them for these reasons. On the positive side they do have a very extensive product range and the sales team do know their ranges well so can advise on what poles might be suitable depending on your curtain weight.
