God knows where they got my details from because I am not one of their customers but today a dress I have never seen was delivered to me. I rang up to speak to them but they don't work weekends. This is obviously some kind of scam in cahoots with another organisation that I have bought from in the past. Be warned this is unethical and probably illegal behaviour and if they charge me for the dress I will be reporting them to trading standards without a second thought.
E mail that came through from Kaleidoscope spoke of 'free delivery' and a free scarf, if goods ordered that day, and promotion code entered at 'checkout'. When I ordered goods that same day I entered the promotion code. The free scarf was added to order (that I didn't want anyway), but free postage was not applied. I e-mailed Kaleidoscope about this, and they said they would look into it and get back to me. They didn't! After several chase e-mails they finally sent me 2 contradictory e-mails 'explaining' why I had not received the free postage. Eventually, in their words 'as a gesture of good will' informed me that they would refund the postage. This wording 'gesture of good will' infuriated me, as I believe they acted fraudulently and deceptively.
This is very very dissapointing, as I have bought clothing from them in the past, but will think twice before doing so in the future.
I have had too many problems to mention and have finally decided to admit defeat and not order from them again despite the good clothes!
Again this month they have no trace of my payment that was direct from my bank and have charged me £12 default payment. They are now asking for written proof. Last month they found it after a two week email battle.
I ordered an item for my sister on the 10th December for Christmas. The next week I received a kaleidoscope catalogue with an invoice attached, as if this was the item I had ordered. I rang them and they told me it was a mistake that I had been sent the catalogue and that my order was still processing.
A few days later I received a txt message saying that my item had been delivered that afternoon through the letterbox. I had been in all day and the item would definitely not have fitted through the letterbox, so I rang them. They said that this again was a mistake and that my item would be with me by 21st December.
On 21st December the item had not arrived by 6pm so I again rang them. I was told the courier works until 8pm and that I would receive my item shortly. I did not.
Christmas came and went and I still hadn't received the item. I then received a letter saying following my enquiry they were able to tell me that my item should be with me by 21st February! I rang AGAIN and immediately cancelled the order and asked for a full refund.
The refund I received did not include postage so I again contacted them to say I was not happy with that, to which they told me they had no record of my address and was I sure that my address was correct. When I told them to check again they found me and said that they had not taken postage as it had not been shipped. However they did take postage and so I was left out of pocket, but as I had just started a new job I didn't have time to keep emailing back and forth to such an inadequate company for the sake of a few pounds.
Absolutely disgusted and will never use this company again.
This company promised fast delivery... the product took 3 days to leave their warehouse.
Then I found out my purchase was schedule to arrive 10 later: total: 13 to arrive....
For a company that is based in the UK I think is unacceptable ....

Item ordered 10 weeks ago on 12 days delivery but never came after 10 weeks. Kaleidoscope debited my card the day after ordering. Have now emailed them to cancel order and request refund as quickly as they took the cash, but no response so far.
Tip: Do not order from this company unless the item is in stock because, if my case is anything to go by, they are using a 3rd party as supplier but taking the cash straight away.
Further to the above comments, the item in question arrived this afternoon in good condition and as ordered. However I still think that companies should not expect customers to pay for goods, well in advance, when the supplier is not in a position to deliver.
Kaleidoscope emailed a birthday voucher (5 GBP off order) - I used it the same day I received it, only to find out that it was expired. I contacted customer service, but instead of sending me a valid voucher they explained that the voucher expired because it was 'delayed in the post'. They didn't take my complaint seriously.
I have had a very disappointing experience with this company. I ordered a lovely swimming costume 11 days before my summer holiday, on the understanding that it would be delivered within 3 to 4 days. After 6 days of waiting I rung their customer services department to ask about the item and received a very unsatisfactory response, been told that I would be rung at some point in the next 5 days, even though my holiday was due to start in 4. Despite explaining the urgency in emails and attempts to contact the delivery company nobody responded to me despite the fact that it would have been very easy to resolve.
Appalling will never use this company again and will advise my friends and family against using it.
I ordered on-line a set which included a dress,cardigan and necklace. When the final payment came up on the screen it did not give me the discount for which I had entered the necessary code (I know I did this as the code came up in red). I made immediate contact by email but was told I had not entered the code. I requested cancellation of the order but was told it was too late and I would have to send it back. The dress turned out to be in very cheap fabric, which smelled unpleasant, and the cut was poor. I had been given a PIN code to arrange a return but this did not work on Kaleidoscope's automated telephone service. A collection was then arranged by email. Nobody came on that day to pick up the package and nobody contacted me. I then had to arrange another date. I can happily say I will never consider using this company again.
I put my first order to Kaleidoscope for a dress for a wedding I am attending tomorrow 23 Apr, just over a month ago, and they advised it was out of stock and would be in by 1 Apr and with me a few days later, by which time I did not receive the dress so I called in and was told that it was further delayed and would be in stock by 3 May! So I complained and was then told that the date I was given initially was only an estimate and it was out of their hands as they seemed to be at their suppliers mercy. However, I was not informed it was an estimate otherwise I would not have wasted 2 and a half weeks not looking elsewhere, so they said as a gesture of goodwill they would offer me a 20% discount on my next order and I told them I was going to seriously think twice about ordering from them again and cancelled my order, and was faced with the difficult chore of having to shop literally everywhere for another gown. However, I could not find anything else suitable and did find on the Kaleidoscope site again another dress by the same brand and ordered 2 of the same size and 1 of a shorter version of the first dress I had to cancel, and all 3 items were again out of stock in delivery was within 7 days and only one of the dresses arrived within that time, and fit nicely everywhere except for the last inch on the top of the zipper and had to be returned! Unfortunately the other two dresses were also further delayed and would not be sent out until today 22 Apr, so I complained again and asked them to take responsibility for further inconveniencing me and as a gesture of goodwill could they send me the dress on a next day delivery as stated they can do for an extra £3, but of course I could not have that and a further complaint only gave me a vague answer as to why they could not and they did not seem to care that they have inconvenienced me greatly and that I should not have had this experience as a new customer, so of course I will never shop there again, and I hope to receive my refund shortly.
