bad customer care - purley way branch

Last week we went to the kiddycare purley way branch to look for pushchairs. We spent time trying to find a pushchair but no one approached us to help. As we needed information we looked for assistance however no shop assistance came to help. We went closer to where they were and started waiting for them to ask if we need help. Although they could all see we wanted help no one offered help as they were either busy chatting or doing their own thing. Finally we asked them to help us choosing a pushchair but this manager level woman just came near us but she just wanted to answer our question and leave. she was not even willing to show us anything. We then asked her to show the pushchair and she finally did. We could see that she did not want to serve customers and just go back to chatting to others. We asked about other pushchairs and she send us to another pushchair and never followed us to talk about that pushchair. We left without buying a pushchair. Knowing the customer services in mothercare and johnlewis, this was unbelievably bad experience and Its such a shame that kiddycare has a very nice shop with many nice and quality product but no one is there to sell. Very very bad customer service.

Great customer support

The cot I ordered was not available so I received an email offering me another one (same model, different colour) which I accepted. I immediately received confirmation of the new order and delivery details. My goods arrived within two days of ordering and although I was concerned about not being home to sign for the goods, they were left in a safe place for me. I was very pleased with the service I received: the prompt and efficient communication, the quick delivery and the products themselves (a travel cot and mattress) are great. I will definitely be using Kiddicare again.

Absolute liars!!! Do not use this company!

I bought the hauck eagle pushchair in May 2013 for my first baby, after using it a handful of times the brakes and wheels didn't work properly.
Once It was sent back I was told it was faulty so I requested a refund.
7 weeks later I have still not recieved my refund! Everytime I contact them I'm told that it's being processed, and to wait a further 7-10 days. When I phoned last week I was then told that it had not been processed. They have admitted that the pushchair was fault so I do not understand what the hold up is. They don't seem to have a clue what's goin on, and I will NEVER use them again!
I feel completely powerless as to getting this matter sorted, and I'm disgusted with how I have been treated.
I was left with out a pushchair for 3 weeks, luckily my parents have lent me money to buy one from mothercare ( brilliant company) but I now owe them the money that kiddicare are holding for no apparent reason.
DO NOT USE KIDDICARE!!

Can't fault the superb service

I ordered 2 matching furniture sets for our boys nursery. They arrived well packaged and extremely fast we were very happy as were expecting this to take a few days. Unfortunately when we opened the boxes one of the cotbed head boards seem to have been damaged, I contacted kiddicare and a replacement cotbed was sent out immediately. This arrived the next day and a few days later the damaged one was collected. Easy to contact, polite and helpful customer services. I'd recommend kiddicare to anyone.

Outstanding

Been ordering from them for a year and a half and they have always been fantastic! Free next day delivery with an hour slot, text updates and you can even track your courrier.

They've priced matched with no problem several times and when I've spoken to their customer services they've always been really helpful.

I order all my baby bits from them, they are my favourite.

Best Online Retailer

By far, the best company I have ever bought online from. In fact, I ONLY order online from them now rather than going in-store. Their courier company texts a one hour delivery slot on the day of delivery, and they have never missed a deadline - I have probably taken in excess of 50 deliveries from them in the past few years.

I love that they offer different brands at varying price ranges so you can buy to a budget if needed, or splash out on special items. Quality is always excellent and they always have great offers and discounts on.

I have only needed to call their customer services once, to ask for more information about a car seat before buying, and my call was dealt with efficiently and the person I spoke to was very knowledgeable. I rarely go elsewhere for baby stuff now, unless Kiddicare don't stock what I need.

Avoid Kiddicare at All Costs

Avoid Kiddicare at all costs, their customer service and attention to detail is woeful. I wanted to buy a Plum Baby Swing set and saw it was available and in stock, so ordered it online on 6 December. I was told it would be delivered direct from Plum in 1-2 weeks. Received standard order confirmation saying my order had been received and I would be contacted by Plum to arrange delivery. After a week I had not heard anything. It was now December 13th, so I e-mailed Kiddicare's customer service department. They did not respond. On December 16th I e-mailed again. Still no response. In order to try and find out what was happening I posted on the Kiddicare Facebook page. Only then did I get a response saying that Plum were unable to supply the product and my order had been cancelled. Would like a refund? I had also spoken directly to Plum in the meantime as I was not getting any answers from Kiddicare. They told me they had informed retailers at the start of December they would not be able to supply the swings. On the Tesco and Amazon websites it was out of stock when I placed my order. I presumed Kiddicare had an exclusive deal, clearly not - they just decided to still sell it on their website knowing full well they would not be able to supply it. Plum told me that they received my order on 10 December - 4 days after it was received by Kiddicare and after I had paid by Direct Debit. They immediately told Kiddicare again that they could not supply it. Kiddicare then did nothing and ignored my subsequent e-mails until on 13 December I posted a complaint on the Kiddicare Facebook page. They did not think to notify me on the 10th December when they were told by Plum the item could not be supplied. I was finally told on 17 December that 'they had only just found out that Plum could not supply the order'. A lie as Plum told retailers at the start of January the item was out of stock and told them again on 10 December. They told me they had issued a refund and the money will appear in my bank account in 3-5 working days. Let's say 5 days as given my experience of Kiddicare they are not very efficient. This means I will get my money back on 23 December at the earliest. This is 17 days after my original order and 13 days after Plum told Kiddicare they would be unable to fulfill my order. Of course this means that £82 has sat in Kiddicare's bank account for around 17 days and my daughter will not have one of her Xmas presents. We will be hard pushed to get a replacement when we only get a refund on 23rd December. Obviously we left it late to order but when Kiddicare make promises on delivery I took it at face value. Lesson learned - I will never use Kiddicare again, they are cheap for a reason. I will use Mothercare, Early Learning Centre, Tesco or Sainsbury's in future. All of whom have been reliable in the past. Their service levels, attention to detail and customer service are absolutely terrible.

Britax B-Dual brake failure - Kiddicare dont seem to care

Brought a Britax B-Dual system earlier this year for our first baby (currently 5 months old) After using the buggy for 2-3 months, it became apparent that the braking system had an intermittent fault where it will simply 'click' off when the brake is applied. This has happened on several occasions with my wife when she has been out - once where the buggy started to roll backwards - thankfully not near a road!

took it back to kiddicare Peterborough - where we brought it - no receipt (lost in our house moving as well this year) but had proof of purchase. They said they will send the pram to Britax for assessing. We would then get a call within 14 days to let us know the outcome - on day 15 (these are working days so 3 weeks now) I have to call them, they had no record of me or our pram. Customer service said they would call back once they do some digging - no call back - I called them back and again was told they have to look into it, at least this lady did call back - although she had no news but to say Service will contact me on Monday - Friday when I called.
Service called Monday morning saying Britax returned the pram and couldnt find a fault so they planned to send us the pram for Tuesday. Tuesday came, no pram, had to call again at my expense, to be told I will get a call Wednesday morning to let me know when its coming - amazingly its wednesday and I have heard nothing!

My concern is that they are happy to send a pram back to a customer that has an intermittent fault with the brake system - WTF?? Are you serious kiddi(no)care.

What kind of attitude is this - I know have to contact Trading Standards about the defective and possibly highly dangerous situation KiddiCare put us in - plus, drive all the way back to Kiddicare and demand a new pram.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS - Owned by the Morrisons group - I love morrisons, but these guys have a lot to learn about how to represent themselves as a business for Baby and Child Care.

All the negative reviews and still no improvement

I just can't believe how many bad reviews and still no resolution, I went to Enfield store the management are so poorly maned, absolutely no care about customers services. my wife chosen a reusable nappy priced at £11 when we went to pay it come up at £72. We ask to speak to the manager and when she come out (assistant store manager Jenny) very poor customer service, she just said sorry nothing I could do and left us standing by the till, I have looked everywhere on google searching for a contact number for kiddicare and there is nowhere to be found, so I had to send them an email and got no reply and I resend another email and was proms a letter of apology to date nothing received. stay away of this business.

Orders automatically cancelled and no help from customer service

Made an order to be delivered to my work address, entering my home address as the billing address. All seemed to go through fine until I got an order cancellation email stating my card couldn't be verified to my address, which according to the email had been taken as my work address.

I phoned up customer services who told me it's because they can't deliver to an address other than the billing address when using an American Express card. Apparently the website was in the process of being updated.

So I tried again with my Mastercard, only to have exactly the same result. I spoke to customer services who told me the billing address mustn't be saving properly and to try again but open a full account so I can re-edit and save the addresses.

By this point I'd had enough, the website clearly doesn't work properly for separate billing and delivery addresses. Ordering my buggy from elsewhere now, not worth the hassle, and customer services can't help.

No pram to show but £600 out of pocket!

I rang up their customer service to ask advice about delivering the item to an address and if I could choose a day for delivery as I didn't need the next day delivery. I took the advice of the adviser who told me to order it 5 days later and I'd get it on the day I wanted. 16 hours after ordering, they cancelled my order, said that due to having ordered it through a mobile, they weren't able to have delivery to another address but that if I used a laptop or computer I could select an alternative address for deliver. Again I took their advice, ordered it through my laptop for the following day to receive an order email to say my order has been cancelled again. This time I rang up because i wanted to know what had happened, to be told that despite putting my details on the billing address, I should of stated the person whose house the items were being delivered to, not put my name on. I asked to speak to a manager to be told they don't work weekends and so it would probably be best to email, which I did. I had a reply to say that the items should of been put in the name of the person whose house they are being delivered to, not the person paying the bill. I asked them why I hadn't been told this, I spoke to an adviser, took their email advice and even checked their website information and no where did it say that it had to be put into the name of where it's being delivered to.

I am now waiting for two refunds, over £600 which is going to take 3-5 working days and what for.....to take their advice and for it still to be wrong!

Terrible Customer Service

They overcharge customers then squirm and delay doing anything about it... the "guaranteed" price match is NOT "guaranteed" I have been in-store, sent emails and phoned and they are by far the worst UK based customer service I have ever experienced. It is heard to believe that the service is UK based, I may understand if they didn't speak English or were paid just a couple pence a day in some far corner of the world, but the staff I have spoken to are all British, clearly can speak English but simple refuse make any sense, email is the worst with slow response times and then they ask for another piece of information once you think you are getting somewhere, so have to send more emails. You have to scan your receipt - I don't have a scanner, doubt many have, thank god for mobile phone with cameras.

The expensive phone line is just holding music then staff who refuse to help, refuse to let you speak to anyone else.

Don't take my word for it just look at the other reviews here, look at the complaints on twitter or facebook. They really are clueless when it comes to dealing with customers.

A company selling child equipment proving it's not childs play to run a proper business.

Cancelled Order

My mum ordered me and my partner some nursery furniture to be delivered to our address.
I looked at my emails an hour after ordering and they had cancelled the order.
I spoke to someone the next day who was no use nor ornament when I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager I was told they don't work Sundays. I did find out the reason why they cancelled the order though. Apparently according to some system they use I don't live at that address. (Can they tell the gas, electric, insurance, council that as I seem to pay the bills for it) I was told that there was no point in re-ordering because it will be cancelled again. I then sent an email and the reply I got was I needed to send proof of address and re-order for it to go through!!!! Surely ordering something online should be easy. After a few more e-mails they still told me to send a council tax bill, no compensation offered. I must say they are diabolical and treat customers very poorly. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE TERRBILE SERVICE

RUBBISH COMPANY!! STAY AWAY!!

Kiddicare offers some good deals however dont fall into the trap of trusting them as a good company. Their customer services is the most expensive to call with atleast half an hour on hold on most occassions and on average an hour to get to someone sensible who may or may not be able to help you.

They cancelled my order twice for invalid reasons and arranging a mortgage has been hassle free compared to kiddicare order. The ordered item broke within 3 days of opening the package. The manufacturer advised to contact Kiddicare to arrange for a full refund or replacement. But kiddicare customer services have been rubbish at replying to emails and also arranging a replacement. After a week the replacement request has not gone through and back at square one as they seem reluctant to offer good service.

Frankly, I would rather go to stores or other online retailers who are good at customer services. Kiddicare instore experience was good though but they have a long way to go if you are ordering online or live far away from one of their stores.

I would now stay away from them and not get tempted by their offers as other retailers are offering competitive prices and good services..
