Ordered an AEG integrated frost-free fridge, at the lowest price on the web, after first having phoned to check on availability. Very pleasant man said the item would have to come from AEG as they did not have it in stock, but assured me that AEG had adequate supply, but would take up to 10 working days to arrive. They would then contact me when advised by AEG that it was on its way to them. Duly received a call from them on the 10/3/2014 the next day and so they could get it to me by 12/3/2014. I preferred to take delivery on the 13/3/2014 so this was duly arranged, and late on 12/3/2014 received email advising of TNT consignment number with a delivery date of 13/3/2014. Item has just been just been received (11.45 on 13/3/2014). Great service all round.
Struggled to get the AEG fridge freezer that we were after, and Kitchen Appliances 123 were helpful when taking the order where others weren't. It was a good price, although not the cheapest we found on the web, but we thought it looked a professional outfit, and assumed that AEG would vet suppliers. There was a bit of a delay as it was coming from Germany, although communication was always as a result of us prompting for updates. About three weeks after paying the fridge freezer, which actually requires some on site construction, was delivered and assembled by a separate courier company who could not have cared less (amazing for such an expensive product). Clearly used to just dumping items and clearing off. Screws went in threaded (in a couple of instances so they actually scratched the doors on opening and closing), units not lined up, doors not lined up, one foot bent in the process, and the top panel scratched due to repeated sloppy attempts to fit. Having compiled a PDF of fitting disasters and sending onto Kitchen Appliances 123 we are still waiting for a response. We have given up on the courier company. Have taken it apart and refitted ourselves so that we can turn on and get using the thing that we paid for fives weeks ago. All in all a mixed experience.
I looked around for 3 specific items, 1 Neff oven, 1 Neff under counter fridge, and 1 AEG upright freezer.
These items I found at kitchenappliances123 for around £250 cheaper than elsewhere, and due to buying three items at once a discount was offered.
I was concerned about using this company due to the reviews, but the difference in cost made me take the plunge, other than a deliver issue which was not kitchenappliances123 fault, I can say that all my dealings with Chris Mills were pleasant and he assisted where he could.
The delivery issue was to do with the Neff oven being unavailable in the UK and they were awaiting delivery from Gernany ( I was told this by Neff when I rang them direct ).
All in all, a very good company who I would have no issues recommending.
I inherited an old fridge when I moved into a new house which literally fell apart due to age. I had no clue what I should buy but found the customer service was outstanding; they not only helped me to make the right decision they organised a speedy delivery. Thank you and I'll certainly recommend you to my friends.
I ordered a dishwasher in November. They were very quick to bill my credit card despite the fact that the product was out of stock - something that was not obvious from their website. Expected delivery date arrived. I hadn't had confirmation from them so I emailed to check delivery. Was told item out of stock. If I hadn't emailed them would I still be waiting in for delivery? New delivery date given. I said OK as long as it's here by Christmas. Two days before new delivery date, informed product wouldn't be in before January. I cancelled order. They accepted this and confirmed cancellation. That was on 18 December. I am still waiting for my refund - nearly £400. I have emailed them repeatedly about this - emails ignored. I also called them a week ago and was fobbed off. So quick to take my money for a product not in stock; nearly a month since order cancellation and still waiting for refund. Buy from this company at your peril!
Ordered a Smeg oven on 3rd July. Money taken immediately by Credit Card and order confirmation.......then silence. Spoke to their online Chat facility and was told they had no Stock!!! Why can't they like other companies state on the item OUT OF STOCK. Anyway this Chris Mills said they were expecting stock on 11th and they would send my oven out overnight delivery, so I said 'So I should get it Friday (13th) latest and he said Certainly....I have all this down in writing as took a grab of the conversation. Well it's now Sat 14th and I've heard nothing. I have kitchen fitters waiting to install this oven plus 123 are missing out as we have a few large electrical appliances to purchase but they won't be getting any more of my money!!! Bad communication, lack of stock knowledge and lack of Customer Service. After eventually cancelling the order I was promised a refund. After waiting from 3rd July to 26th, no appliance and no refund I contacted my credit card company who took up the case and got my money back. Very bad business practice and wouldn't buy from them again even if their appliances were half price!!
I read the previous reviews about the company (all positive at the time) and decided to place an order for a cooker hood extract fan. Most companies now adays do not keep large stock and can usually get it pretty quick from manufacturers if they have accounts set up. I fully understand this as there is so much choice and constantly changing models so it makes sense to me for a company to keep only some stock unless they are just box shifters by piling them high and selling them cheap. My Fan was a 53cm wide unit - not exactly standard with hundreds of people knocking down their door to buy one. I ordered over the phone and was told when I could expect the item. I got a call from Chris to say the item was in stock and was being dispatched that afternoon. As I live in the NE of Scotland it was a day later for the courier to deliver it. No problem with that. I personally thought the communication was excellent and I would recommend and buy again.
We bought a Bosch induction cooker from Kitchenappliances123 and were very happy with the ordering process. The website offers the opportunity to pay by telephone which we chose because we don't like to put our card details into the internet. The product advice given was excellent, as this was our first induction appliance we needed that. Delivery was arranged in advance and we were kept up to date with the progress of our order by email.
Ordered over two weeks ago and was wondering where my item was. I ordered a standard kitchen extractor hood. The customer representative told me it had been dispatched, but there was an issue with the courier company. This was not the case.
I called today (3 days later) and I was told that they had not received the item from the manufacture and they could not guarantee when I would get it. They also said that they could not get the manufacture to deliver to me as this takes longer.
Their web site said 5-7days delivery time. After waiting well over two weeks they can still not able to confirm delivery date.
I also found the customer service to be quite poor. On the first occasion the customer service representative was wrong regarding the delivery status of the hood but was pleasant enough.
On the second occasion the customer service representative seemed to relish the opportunity to point out the error of his colleague and then said that the hood may be with me by the end of the week but he could not guarantee when I would get it. They said they had to call me to then arrange a delivery slot. When I said just to send it straight away the customer service representative said that this was not possible. He was not very sincere, a bit pushy and verging on rude.
At no point did kitchenappliances123.co.uk send me an email or try and call to tell me my item was significantly delayed.
Their prices are cheap but I got the impression that they do not keep much in stock. Unless they have the item in stock, there is a good chance you will have to wait an undefined time until they have the item. You will have to call them to tack the status, they will not contact you.
Overall they may be worth a punt if you don’t need the item any time soon but I will not use them again and would not recommend them.
We ordered a Kitchenaid mixer from the company's website, to be told that the particular colour requested was out of stock. One was then ordered for us and, during the "waiting period", we were regularly up-dated as to the expected date of the item being in stock. Once the item was in stock, it was delivered to us next day. Oh, and, during this period, the manufacturer increased the price which was not passed onto us, thus saving us approx £60. We shall certainly be using kitchenappliances 123 again and can unreservedly recommend them.
I'd been badly let down by another company over the supply of a Franke sink for my new kitchen. I emailed kitchenapplicances123 to see if they had the same sink in stock. They responded the same day to say they didn't have one, but had checked with their supplier who had it in stock and told me they could get one and deliver to me the following week. So I placed the order on the Friday and they delivered the following Tuesday - better than promised in my opinion. Brilliant company with excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
I ordered several kitchen appliances from this company but they had supply problems in getting a Bosch item. As my kitchen installers required the item urgently the company went out of its way to get the product for me. Great to deal with a company with good customer service (unlike appliance world who have let me down with an item 3 weeks overdue and no customer service)
We bought a warming drawer from this company, "as new" but without its box. The staff were helpful in discussing the order. Delivery was very quick and flexible. The website does not allow one to specify a delivery date, but this can be organised by phone before you buy. Good communications, arrived on time and works well. Would recommend.
