New for old, at a fraction of the price

Hi Guys,
Just finished fitting the new doors you sent me. Fantastic ! My kitchen now looks better than it did when it was new, every door fitted perfectly and the finish is excellent. The delivery was on time and well packed (no scuffs or scratches). We have had a lot of friends round to see the finished job and everyone was very impressed. I would highly recommend your company. A DELIGHT to find in this financial climate.

I surfed the internet for a few days before finding Kitchen Door Workshop, and i thank the net i did. I had many quotes for the products i wanted and got it, there, in some cases as much as 2/3rds cheaper. I wasnt sure about quality at that stage but thought i would take the chance, as you do with most products on the net, i had read the reviews on the site and decided it was worth the risk at those prices.
I placed my order on that day and had great service from the chap on there end,it wasnt till next day i realised i had not ordered 2 doors. I called immediately to try and get it on my order from the day before but the order had already been placed and they could not get it on that order and had to raise another order for my 2 doors.I had recieved my conformation e-mail on delivery and sat back and waited for delivery. sure enough they arrived on the day suggested and all my order was there including the doors i ordered after the original order. carriers could not have been more helpful, i am slightly disabled, they put everything inside where it was easy for me to get to, as for the quality my wife was over the moon, and really that is the only criteria that matters. i would, and have no hesitation in reccomending this fantastic company to my daughter, who has just bought a new home and is changing everything as they do, and also to friends. I have no hesitation in giving this company 5 stars. My surname is also CLARK but i can assure you i am no relation to Robert. It is something that goes through my mind when i read some of those reviews as i am sure it does yours. any way i would definately give this company your custom if I where you

Perfect door matching

When I needed 4 new doors with glass panels to match my kitchen upgrade this was the only place I found that could do the job. Very pleased with quality and the price (2/3rds less than our local kitchen company quoted!).I am very please with the result and spreading the word to all who have commented on them.

Deliveries and procedures wrong, damages, then fight for refund. Never again!

I know Robert will have good answers for all my issues but I feel I have to tell it as it was from a customer.
For starters, the delivery date shown on the website is not possible and gives a false impression. Some items arrived individually, which caused confusion as we thought the items came as a complete order and we had to accept them unsigned for.
The bulk of the order arrived unexpectedly a day early and all the heavy packages were crammed into our porch whilst the longer ones left on our drive. There was no inspection, signature or prior warning for over £1600 worth of goods! Being a disabled pensioner, I had to unpack the goods and move the panels one by one just to get to my door.
Some panels and doors were damaged. All the panels had wood-grain in the wrong direction and I was blamed for wrong information given. However, I proved that the list sent clearly stated width and height required. I was offered new panels, which would take another 2 weeks, but I declined these because my kitchen fitter wanted to order slightly different sizes. The kitchen fitter was laid off indefinitely.
I was told that this was a 'bespoke order' and would have to pay the extra for all new panels? I disputed this as, how can this be a 'bespoke order' when the company had to ORDER new panels after getting things wrong? My newer panels cost far more than the original panels and yet I was only offered 50% refund of the original wrong panel costs.
I received 100% refund after many disagreeable contacts with Robert.
Conclusion: keep details of all information supplied to the company for proof of order otherwise, the blame will always be yours!
My wife and I found the whole event very stressful and feel it could all have been avoided with a little more care with my order.

Dear Mr Sumpter - I would like to apologize for any issues that you had with your order.

I am sorry that a small number of end panels were supplied with the grain running the wrong direction. Unfortunately we did not notice that you had written some of the items height / width, and others width / height - we should have spotted and corrected this - however we did not notice this, and this is what resulted in the grain being the wrong way round on these items.

Looking at the quotation that we sent you (which showed the height/ width of each item), we initially believed that you had been supplied with the correct items.
It took a little while for us to investigate exactly what had caused these items to be supplied with the grain going the wrong way, hence why we initially offered to immediately replace the incorrect items 'like for like' or offer you a 50% discount off the cost of the other sized panels that you wanted. On reflection I think that we could have handled this situation differently and I am sorry that we didn't.

I make no excuse for your order being delivered a day early, however I do stand by the dispatch date shown on our website being realistic. Furthermore this is supported by the hundreds of customer reviews which support on-time delivery.

I believe that our team and suppliers responded promptly to replace any damaged and additional items that you ordered. However, these items had to be made to order from scratch, and I regret that because of this, these items simply could not be delivered whilst your fitter was fitting the rest of your order.

I am sincerely sorry for any upset that we may have caused you Mr Sumpter, I can assure you this was never our intention.

Good honest quality products, with superb advice

From the first time I looked at the Kitchen Door Workshop web site, I had great confidence in the trouble they had taken to explain the whole process of replacing kitchen doors. The videos explaining the end to end process were the best I have seen. The order process was straight forward with a template to help keep you on track.
The order was fulfilled very quickly, the doors came via courier and were extremely well packed. The doors were of first rate quality and all measurements given for size and hinge holes were accurately provided.
All of the doors fitted perfectly and has transformed our kitchen
I would recommend Kitchen Door Workshops to anyone contemplating a kitchen revamp

Outstanding quality and service

I doubt if this Company could find much to improve. The website is easy to use, there is plenty of information and the delivery and packaging is also excellent. If you supply the correct measurements when ordering you will find that fitting is trouble free. I had a new kitchen in less than 6 hours from delivery.

Good service

The doors are good quality, very well packaged and arrived around two weeks after being ordered.
The only drawback was that the hinge holes were quite in the same position on both doors. The space between was consistent but not their location (2mm difference between the two in the longitudinal direction).
The hinges took the difference but I was expecting the holes location to be more accurate than that for a standard door size.

Hi Olivier - Thanks for your feedback. Hinge holes are drilled at the end of the production process and we would expect them to be drilled within an accuracy of about +/- 1mm. The hinge hole position is measured from the end of the door, therefore if the each hole was just 1mm closer to the end of the door then the distance between them would be 2mm greater. The size of the door (either standard or non standard) does not affect how the hinge holes are drilled.
As you say there is plenty of adjustment in the hinges themselves to accommodate this, however I will pass your comments onto our supplier so that they can check the machine.

Great service but dissapointed right at the very end

Excellent customer service. Polite and helpful on the phone, updated by email and delivery exactly as advised.

However, if you refer to our emails of last week, you will see that we reported damage to a larder unit door. I understand that you have a minimum time to report damage and you are entitled to quote this when declining replacement requests but given the circumstances detailed in our emails we hoped for a more sympathetic response.

it is with great regret that we will have to look elsewhere to complete the second phase of our kitchen refurbishment.

We respectfully ask that customers open and check their order within a reasonable time, and in the email we sent you advising you of your delivery date we did stress how important it was to open and check your order as soon as possible after delivery.
Thankfully, damage in transit is rare and in almost all cases we are able to offer free replacements. However when customers fail to report damage until so long after delivery we are sometimes unable to offer free replacements.

Kitchen looks great. Wife's happy as it looks better than she expected ! All panels cut to millimetre perfection. Some minor damage to some panels, but easily camouflaged. Mian issue is consistent delivery one day earlier than expected, necessitaing redelivery. Heartily recommend to one and all.

Beautiful doors at an really good price

I had an idea of what I wanted and had been looking around for new cupboard doors for a while, but was having trouble finding reasonably priced doors, to my taste that would have the hinge holes in the correct place.
I found Kitchen Door Workshop to be the cheapest by about £100 and they drilled the hinge holes to my specification.
The quote came very quickly with a quote number and a link to order on line. At time of ordering I was told to expect a 3-4 week wait, the doors were delivered 10 days later!
I was very pleasantly surprised by the fact that the doors look fabulous, are very sturdy and solid - they are amazing quality for the price!
All in all its a great company; giving lots and lots of choice, something to suit all price ranges and tastes, easy ordering and super fast delivery. Would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to others.

Top Quality and Service

I placed 2 orders for new doors because the bottom half of the kitchen was a different colour from the top and I was given an expected delivery date.
The extras I ordered (hinges etc) arrived within a couple of days and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of them. My existing units used the standard 1/2"x6 screws on the hinge fittings which rip out of the carcases as soon as you look at them - these were high quality, heavy screw fittings.
The doors and plinths etc all arrived ahead of time and were very well packed. No damage whatsoever and the quality was great. Sizes were exact (even the specials I requested) and holes for hinges spot on.
I had no reason to contact customer services as everything was spot on.
Everything is now fitted and I am delighted with the results - and more importantly, so is my wife!

Kitchen Door Workshop is fast, easy to use and with good products

As the system is very much DIY you have to prepare all your information beforehand, get accurate measurements and really know what you want. Only seeing the online and physical catalogue makes it hard to imagine what the end result will be like. I ordered samples but they were quite small. I ordered a pull-out cupboard unit and only found when it was installed that I could have had a bigger version of the same that would have worked. The products I had are sound and well finished, and the overall result looks really great!

Brilliant Product; Brilliant service; Brilliant Price

I bought doors and trims to reface a good quality, but very dated kitchen, with odd sized doors. As a 'slightly' older woman with no experience of undertaking a project like this, I was nervous, but took advice from the company on measuring and ordering. When the made to measure doors arrived, they were robustly packaged; looked great (very good quality); and they fitted perfectly and easily. The kitchen is truly transformed - for a fraction of the cost of replacing. Would DEFINITELY recommend both company and product. First Class.

Excellent doors close off the cupboard saga

First of all the email about delivery was a shock as it meant I had to arrange for someone to help unload the delivery lorry but that proved to be less of a problem than I feared.
Doors were for 87 year old father in law who had been worrying away about his old and faded kitchen for some time, hence the reference to a saga.
Pre drilling was a great idea and doors went on very quickly. The deputy chief outlaw is now very pleased - so pleased that he's now talking about getting me to replace tiles. I'm almost sorry it went so well.

The doors fit and look great with the handle that I pick, it was very easy to order on line and all products came on time, but the only thing that I was disappointed in was the box draws, they weren't as strong as expected but will do for now, but will always recommend the company to all my friends an business friends.
