We spend quite a considerable sum to us on the Billyo Alpine Workshop. Delivery was 5-10 working days. On day 10 still no word so we rang and it was delivered next day. This was just the beginning of the story!
The package is basically good. What spoils it is the extremely poor quality extras and the total lack of after sale service.
The building instructions are wrong in some places and the walls didn't fit between the window and door but luckily, my husband is a carpenter so was able to make walls fit and rehung the doors correctly. Not how the plans indicated.
The whole worshop gave the impression that perhaps we were sent bits of other buildings that were not meant for the 4x4 meter Alpine.
The hinges were the same for both the doors and the windows. Totally inadequate for the doors so they broke when weight was put on them.
The windows are stated as "glazed" which actually means they have cheap thin plastic not glass.
The roof panels were only 5 inch not 6 inch as specified and so were not sufficient to roof the whole workshop. It took ages to get the missing panels and I was blatantly lied to by Kybotech at least three times with regard to delivery.
The nails,screws,pins and roof tacks were all thrown into one bag so they had to be separated before they could be used.
Finally. The roof ashfelt was ready to go on.According the the instructions the overlap has to be 4inches. But that means there is not enough to cover the roof!!! You don't know this until you have put on 4 strips and have only one left!
Finally, you can send your opinion on the website but Kybotech reserve the right to amend or not publish at all. What's the point?? No wonder they only have good reviews at point of sale!
We would not recommend Kybotech to anyone after this.
Below is the e-mail that I sent to kybotech. They have failed to respond to two e-mails and a phone call. it is now 26.7.13 and I still have not received an answer. Once they have your money they are not interested in resolving an issue.
On Saturday 15th June I took delivery of a log cabin. This would have been great, however, the delivery was scheduled for Friday 14th June. I have bullet pointed events below-
Wednesday 12th June received a call informing of delivery. I was informed that delivery time would be in the afternoon on 14th June
I resourced labour (two men) to work from midday on the 14th June. This was to accept delivery and to transfer the cabin through to back garden.
Midday on 14th June - My workmen arrive to wait and deal with delivery
14th June @ 4.30pm. I am contacted by my wife to inform me that there is no sign of delivery.
14th June @ 5.00pm. My wife makes contact with your call centre, they are unable to make any contact with the driver to ascertain a delivery time. The call operator (Nikki) said she would call back on our contact number before the end of the working day
14th June @ 6.36pm. No further communication from your company so my wife contacts your call centre again and discovered it was closed. She tried several of the other numbers to discover that none of those were available. She then contacted sales dept at 6.38pm as this was the only line that was open. She spoke to a male member of your sales team and explained the situation. He checked the notes, they stated 'the customer was irate' and had called driver with no response. There was no note to try and call my wife back and update her of the situaution, when my wife commented on the poor service he stated 'the call centre staff are not interested in the business', he did add that you state on your website that deliveries can be delivered up until 7pm. It was pointed out that it virtually was 7pm and that the site did not state anything about moving deliveries to the following day without any notice. This call lasted for twenty three minutes (all your other numbers are 0800 but this is a chargable number), she was on hold for about ten of these whilst your team member attempted to contact the driver who seemed to have gone AWOL. She then got cut off. Your call handler then rang my number, the time of the call was about 7.02pm and left a message saying that the delivery would not be with us tonight and would be delivered at around 2pm the following day. I was unable to make contact when I phoned back a couple of minutes later.
The delivery did arrive at around 2pm on the 15th June
Can you answer the following questions-
At what point did your driver know that he would not be able to complete all his deliveries? Should he keep contact with your offices if things are not going to plan?
How many other deliveries did he not complete? I am assuming there were others due to the fact that he still did not arrive until 2pm the following day.
Why was the scheduling so far out, how can you get it so wrong?
What is your policy around contacting customers when you are unable to fulfill your obligations?
If you were the customer, how would you feel about the service we have received? What action you you expect to try and redeem the situation?
Why are you unable to contact your drivers?
Why did Nikki fail to call my wife back?
Is it true that your call centre staff are not interested in your business?
I am out of pocket due to you failing to deliver on the day indicated, how do you propose to rectify this?
Why do you ask for customer feedback at the time of payment, it is unlikely that there will be any serious issues at that point. I don't believe you are likely to get a full picture of the service you deliver if you are not getting feedback on the whole experience. I would clearly give you a different rating now if given the opportunity.

It was delivered promptly and exactly when they said. It was quite easy putting it together on my own, me being a mere woman and reading the instructions first. The bench looks good ,easy on the eye, is substantial, stores quite a bit and is comfortable to sit on. Thinking of getting another one from this company.
Ordered a shed, first delivery didn't arrive, even after email stating it was out for delivery, given new delivery date over the phone that was later changed again via email 4 hours later, again the product didn't turn up on there new delivery date, reason ( out of stock), again given a new delivery date, so now been waiting over 3 weeks and still no shed, called there customer service's (you may as well speak to the wall), got the cancellation email and requested a refund, hay presto, no response from them at all, now taken a dispute out with Paypal, as thats how we paid, I would advise people to keep away from this cowboy company.
even though i qualified for free next day delivery when ordering it took 3 days to arrive but arrived in perfect condirtion and the product does exactly what it says on the tin.... even if it does come flat pack and had me scratching my head a few times during its assembly... works well..
Delivery was arranged for 2 July 2013. I waited 12 hours for the delivery after taking a day off work. I contacted Kybotech regarding the delivery at 17.10 to find out when the delivery will be arriving. I called the number as per the email correspondence from Kybotech regarding delivery issues. I was on hold for half an hour without anyone answering the phone. I gave up in the end.
Nightfreight their logistics company called at 18:00 and said that I was not home.
I asked them to see the delivery note stating that they were here at a certain time. They could not produce this. So they were not at my property.
Very disappointing and wasted 12 hours of my day.
I insist on a full refund and will source the product elsewhere with a reputable company.
Item was delivered next working day.I requested it be left with a neighbour if out and it was.Completely satisfied.
I ordered a playhouse from GBD with a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks on delivery. Ordering was easy, I chose to call them as I had a couple of questions, which were answered efficiently - ordered and paid for the house and waited. Over the next couple of weeks I received email updates on 3 occasions advising me of a projected delivery date, then confirming that date and advising that the item had been prepared then dispatched.
House arrived on time, just what we wanted, good quality, easy (ish) to build, no complaints at all. I would absolutely use these guys again and, based on this experience, I'd recommend them to others.
The website was easy to navigate and the product arrived as requested (I was very specific where I wanted the pack left on the driveway and the delivery guys didn't let me down). I took the opportunity to pre-treat all the timbers before I erected it - good tip there - although the wood did look well treated anyway. The instructions were good but I had to use my DIY skill to "fill the gaps" and to translate for my particular size of summer house (i.e. some extra panels, etc. for an 8x8 over an 8x6). Also you have to "read between the lines" in a few places - but again, a bit of lateral thought and weighing up what components you have in front of you solves the problem. Went together really well in about 12 man-hours. No warped panels, no cuts, dents or knots - well prepared. The only negatives were that there were insufficient ironmongery (nails and screws) of certain sizes, but a quick rummage around my workshop soon had me back on the job - no biggie. The other oddity were the doors - there're two big holes (~2") drilled in them, possibly for a lock, or a handle or something, but the lock supplied is too big for the door panel (it would break the Perspex if I tried to install it) and didn't bear any resemblance to those big holes so I have a lovely summerhouse with two x 2" holes in the doors - doesn't look great, but that's my only quibble. Now its built it looks great - time will see if the quality is good through-life. It's a great summerhouse for the price for a DIY person with some patience.
I wanted a suitably small and robust storage/seat for our balcony. When I found the Billy Oh seat/storage unit online it seemed perfect for my requirements. On arrival I was especially pleased to find that it only took around five minutes to assemble and without the needs for tools. It exactly fits in with my needs. To sum up in one word brilliant.
This is extremely reasonably priced compared with other playhouses online. They also do free delivery to Scotland whilst other firms charge for delivery outside England. Would recommend to anyone
Chose delivery date but they were not able to confirm this until the day before, this was not ideal as my wife and I are both full time professionals and can't sit at home hoping for things to be delivered.
Phoned a couple of times and was just told to wait till the day before for confirmation. (Not very helpful customer service agent)
We received our shed at 1730 on the Friday after siting at home twiddling thumbs all day.
I had set aside the Saturday and Sunday to get it erected, unfortunately one of the roof panels was damaged so I contacted them and was told another would be sent out.
Another day of sitting around waiting for delivery!
Not a senario I'd like to go through again.
Contacted Garden Buildings Direct (part of the Kybotech group) by phone a week ago to confirm availability of the BillyOh 5000 workshop. No problems, stock available for delivery when I needed it.
Ordered the next day and paid with paypal, got an email confirmation of the proposed delivery date and to wait between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM (13 hours sitting around and a day off work)
I contacted the helpline at around 11 on the delivery day to be told it was out for delivery, called again around 18:00 to be told they cannot contact the drivers and have no idea why my product has not been delivered.
It is now 19:00 and no delivery, wasted a day and I have contractors arriving tomorrow to erect the workshop which now have to be cancelled.
Don't buy off Kybotched, Garden Buildings direct etc or any company associated with them.

We ordered a shed direct from this company which was also available with Argos but as they had a special offer (free paint treatment) and price was the same we ordered direct from manufacturer.
Before ordering I did see the very mixed reviews online but wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt! I am aware that many people are perpetual moaners or have High expectations and I can assure you I am neither, writing this review gives me no pleasure but it is honest and factual!
The order was straightforward and scheduled for delivery on 4 April. I had numerous e mails advising me to stay in between 6 am and 7 pm and check entire order was satisfactory before signing for delivery so I duly took entire day off work and set my alarm for 6 am!! At 8.30 am I noticed that the entire flat packed shed had been left propped up outside our house without so much as a knock at the door and we live on a main road so could have easily been stolen!
Within the delivery there were no fixings, instructions or the promised paint - just panels of wood left by the front door!
There followed numerous calls - each person at their call centre telling us a different thing and as a result we had to wait in for 2 further days (totalling 3 days) to await the rest of our very straightforward order! Despite putting our lives on hold and waiting in nothing arrived until today - Monday!
So, hoped all sorted and thought ok lesson learned don't use this company again - but we have now checked the panels left last week which apparently make up our shed and have discovered that half the order is not ours it has someone else's name and order number on it and we don't have the shed doors!
So we now face a 4th day of being on the phone to this company who have no customer service and apparently no efficiency just to get a shed we could have (and should have) bought from Argos! The one thing they did manage quickly, efficiently and without difficulty was take our payment in full!!
And of course we thought, not unreasonably, that as delivery was booked for last Thursday we could make arrangements to have it put up on Saturday - far too simplistic and totally naive given our dealings with this company!
I ordered a storage bench from them on Wednesday, with 24 hour delivery. I placed the order before I went to work around 8am to qualify for the next day elivery, and as I was in a hurry I didn't get a chance to note the order number which came up on screen. I have a chance to check that the email confirmation arrived either (it didn't), and my husband waited in all day for a product which never came. That was quite annoying, but the total lack of customer service in sorting this out is what has left me fuming
I called on Friday, and was told that they had no record of the order. I'd paid by PayPal, so was able to confirm the payment reference number, product order number and that the money had left my account. I was told that they would look into it and contact me, but that's the last I've heard from them. I emailed last night to point out that given their track record (i.e. they have messed up my order) an email to confirm in writing that they are looking into it would be appreciated, but this has been ignored. So I'm nearly £90 out of pocket, and they will not even confirm that they are looking into it, let alone give me an estimate of when they will resolve the issue! I really do not have time to deal with this level of incompetence - I accept that problems happen, but a company that then ignores the customer that they have failed and leaves them having to take time to try and get the issue investigated is probably not worth dealing with. This is actually the second time I've used them - the first was for a log cabin that we were pretty pleased with on the whole (though various items like the door latch were missing, I've been ill and have a very heavy workload so we've just left it even though it spoils the finish). I'd second the advice to avoid this company, if something goes wrong they cannot be relied on to fix it or even keep you informed.
I used the priority email Kybotech have posted on Trustpilot to give them another chance to resolve this before posting this review, but they still have made no effort to contact me. In effect they have run off with my £90, and despite my repeated efforts won't even contact me to confirm that they are looking into the issue. Going to have to consult consumer direct about getting my money back - I feel like I've been robbed here.
I bought a parasol from Kybotech last summer, and it fell over once and snapped in two. Kybotech refuses to replace or refund, despite its claim the parasol "is constructed using a strong premium wooden pole with metal fixings which ensure maximum stability and durability”.
Nowhere does it state, or does it imply, that this pole is incapable of withstanding the slightest lateral pressure or that it should on no account be allowed to fall over, and therefore always brought inside when not in active use. On the contrary, the description of the product suggests that it is entirely capable of withstanding the normal treatment and the normal weather conditions that are present in the UK – and more.
Terrible flimsy product and poor customer service, despite repeated attempts to get them to accept their clear responsibility for their clearly flawed or inadequate product.
AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Original sales and delivery were efficient and smooth and I was pleased with the product. A post-sales issue has been handled in 'customer service' with pleasant professionalism and efficiency by L.H. The replacement of a faulty item has been arranged without fuss and communication has been on a personal/individual basis throughout. Thanks.

The bike shed is good and the right size.
However, the building instructions are not very clear.
The doors needed adjusting too to be able to close.
But over all, the product is still good value for money.
Bought for all my childminding equipment - pushchairs - car seats etc. So easy to put together. Still plenty of room left so am storing lawnmower and other gardening equipment inside - Cannot believe how much space there is. Would def recommend buying as not only one of the cheapest if not the CHEAPEST I have found but also looks nice (nicer than the plastic one I already have) blends in nicely in the garden.
Don't waste time with Argos or Wilkos order from kybotech thru eBay sit back and it will be delivered in no time .N o travel no lifting and carrying No hassle .So glad I am starting to get to grips with on line ordering regards Rosemary
The delivery was really efficient and within a week of ordering. The den is fabulous and the boys are loving playing in it. If anyone ever needs anything else I will definately recommend this company.
saw it...clicked buy it now...clicked paypal to purchase and that was it! one and a half minutes and it was mine. It was then delivered in a couple of weeks which suited me and is now up and storing the bikes and junk as I intended.
Couldnt ask for more.

This is just what I was looking for to suit a particular situation and although strongly made of lovely coloured wood it is light enough to move when required. We ordered a summer house from this company, as they were a competitive price. We expected it to be delivered on 21st July. During the afternoon the driver called to check our address, which I confirmed although they had our postcode down wrongly. 10 minutes later they called back and advised the summerhouse had been put on the wrong lorry and taken to Sheffield which then meant we would not have it that day and would have to await a call from their customer service team on Monday. By 3.30 on Monday they had not called so we called them and the adviser apologized for the mix up but that dispatch had finished for the day and that she would arrange a call back 1st thing the next day from them. When they still didn't call back we called them and got onto a very rude adviser who refused to arrange the item to be delivered unless I agreed to pay a further #40, telling me that the error was my fault. My husband had taken a screen shot of the order which clearly states my full correct address. I requested that this was waved due to the poor customer service we had received. The Gentleman refused so I requested to speak to his manager. After recounting the whole story to him I was flabbergasted when he still refused to wave the charge. I didn't feel I could continue the conversation at this time and told him we would be in touch. My husband later spoke to him again and he still refused even though we told him we would cancel the order completely. We cancelled the order and are now awaiting the refund back to our credit card. I question whether this error was made intentionally to get extra money from customers, perhaps it's a scam!
Does the job what I wanted it for. It will be indoors most of the time so should last a lot longer, fading and stuff. Like the fact that it is plastic this will minimise the rust aspect. Could be thicker plastic alround but then it would be alot more than £75.00.
Bought a good value for money BBQ for the summer and was impressed with the speedy delivery and service. the BBQ was a Billyho 500 and was easily assembled. The 3 burners cooks burgers and suasages perfectly and evenly. Will be trying out kebabs soon. Well recommended.
