I bought a product in the Windermere store. I am a disabled person and once getting back home I had not purchased the correct product. I contacted customer service as I had bought this item on my debit card. This made it really difficult to return it. I couldn't ask anybody else to return it as I paid on my card.
Customer service were excellent and sorted out this problem for me in seconds. I will certainly be buying from them in the future. Well done Lakeland and thank you so much.
I love all of lakeland's stuff! Their products are of the higest quality and their always coming up with new quirky brilliant ideas!
I recently ordered a present for my mother and when the delivery service put it over the fence much to the excitment of my (at the time) 5 month old 'puppy' i was straight on the phone. They were supurb in their response the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and pleasant. I got a new one for free 5 days later!
Not only is their website very easy to use and appealing, their stores are just as good. Everything is in there but not cramped together.

This is the first time I've used Lakeland's online ordering service. Bought a Nespresso coffee maker. It arrived within a matter of days, well packaged and the transaction was absolutely hassle free. Thank you Lakeland. If I'm looking for electrical products I will definitely use you again. Five stars!
I bought a Cuisinart Soupmaker which was promptly delivered to my home address in Malta. After approximately 1 year, the soupmaker stopped working. I emailed Lakeland customer service at about 8pmithin 10 minutes I received a reply offering me a full refund or a replacement. I emailed back immediately accepting a replacement. Again, within 10 minutes, I received a reply saying the soupmaker would be dispatched to me and that I could dispose of the deffective soupmaker in Malta. 4 days later I received the new soupmaker. Outstanding.
I ordered 5 of lakelands hampers as a Christmas gift for my parents. Initially I paid via PayPal however after 3 days I hadn't received confirmation of my order by lakeland. I decided to phone lakelands customer care team to ensure my order had been placed. I was informed that the PayPal transaction had been unsuccessful.
I decided at this point to pay over the phone with my debit card but I was soon phoned back minutes later to be told that one of the hampers was no longer available, I was offered an alternative hamper which I accepted. However, upon reviewing my order in detail I realised that the hamper I was receiving as an alternative was already part of my order so I phoned customer services to advise them of this error as I didn't want the same hamper twice. I was then informed that the original hamper was in fact available and I could have my original order, I was obviously more than happy with this although a little confused.
What happened next, lakeland refunded the entire amount for all of the hampers (around £200) and then tried to process the transaction again for my original order (there was a £4 difference) Unfortunately I had used a secondary current account I have, the funds weren't available as it was going to take upto 5 working days for the refund from lakeland to appear back into my account. At this point lakeland were adamant they hadn't initially charged me but it soon became apparent that they had. As a result of this lakeland sent me 3 seperate letters to the delivery address ( not billing address) to inform me that they were unable to complete the transaction.
By this time I had made numerous phone calls explaining the predicament to which they too were fully aware of. Eventually I managed to transfer funds to the account and made payment in full for my original order. However when the hampers arrived one was damaged and again had to phone to rectify the problem
The whole experience was unprofessional, Initially I didn't manage to speak to the same advisor twice which all played a part in the mix up of this order. As the issues escalated I was put in contact with a lady called Margaret who did manage to deal with the order although In summary this was a very bad experience for a large purchase from lakeland especially as this was a Christmas gift for my parents.
Put in order, 3 days later they still had not dispatched it, phoned them and was told, If |I was not happy I could cancel the order, they did not have a clue when they would dispatch item and did not seem to be able to find out!! Will not use again, very poor service.
Most of the stuff I have bought from this store has been wonderful, good quality and pretty good value for money, but if they get wind of any dissatisfaction they are there putting it right before you can say garlic crusher! On the odd accasion the need has arisen they have put everything right. I remember once a parcel arrived smelling very strongly of an orange scented cleaning product. The bottle had broken in transit. They were immediately prepared to resend the entire consignment. I had to persuade them that plastic boxes didn't need to be replaced! They are a lovely company, the staff at our nearest store are well informed, friendly, helpful. Can't praise them highly enough.
Tried to buy online - could not log in, CS was open at 10pm still so they helped me and I was able to place the order. Fast efficient and friendly service. Delivery very quick and quality of products brilliant.
I put a review on Lakeland's website over the weekend for a kitchen product I had purchased that was no good at all for doing the job it was meant for! This morning I have received a phone call from Lakeland to say they would refund my money and I have just had an email to say its done! They do not want me to send the product back, they said just to dispose of it safely. They say they will still publish my review as well! Never in my life have I received such brilliant service. The company is being more than fair and this is not what I expected at all when I wrote my review. I have bought many things from Lakeland over the years and will continue to do so. I never expected this outcome from reviewing a product. Well done Lakeland.
Bought a expensive Kitchenaid espresso machine from elsewhere which had expired its 3 year guartantee by 3 months. Belatedly i phoned Kitchenaid about the red paint which has peeled badly and told it would cost me in the region of £75 to replace the area which was bare of paint. I was shocked as I expected this to be rectified for free as this should not happen to such an expensive machine. Was telling the staff in Lakeland this as I was considering buying a Kitchenaid matching food mixer from Lakeland but was put off by my experience with Kitchenaid customer support. They have assured me that their lifetime gaurantee would have covered this if I had bought the machine there. I consider this to be well beyond the normal customer care any other shop offers. I am still undecided whether to get the mixer as I don't think Kitchenaid deserve the custom but would love a matching mixer.. If I do it will definitely be from Lakeland.
It's a shame that Lakeland plastics is a shadow of its former self in the 1990s. Back then they were reliable and customer focussed. Last week bought a heater airer from them and found it left on by front door step for all to see with the box ripped open and my wife waiting for the package to be delivered having waited in all day. All they said was the above quote. Excellent product but not impressed with their attitude towards customers!
The shop as itself is great! The delivery is fabulous fast to EU!!! But, why the hell, it is not posible to buy food products delivered to EU??? Or some other products???? By checking it is clear, that the goods are going to EU, so why it is not posible? Why we are in EU, when I can ot buy something, because "Our system do not recognize the delivery country"!!! It is shame, because, it is very simple software operation. I would be glad to get answer on this non-sense matter!! Thank you
I've shopped with Lakeland for many years, back to when they were Lakeland Plastics, and there are several reasons why I keep on coming back. Firstly, they are always coming up with new products - everything you never knew you needed - and I LOVE gadgets. Secondly, the quality of what they sell is usually great, and if it's not, then thirdly, their customer services team is BRILLIANT. It's so refreshing to deal with a company that actually cares whether their customers are happy with their purchases. That's why I and so many others are repeat customers.
I have used Lakeland for many years, they are consistently good in all areas - customer service is excellent, products are high quality, innovative and good value for money and delivery is fast and accurate. The best company I have ever bought from in store, on-line and by phone.
If quality and incredible customer service is what you want from a company - go to Lakeland. Every company who wants to improve their customer service should take a leaf out of Lakeland's book. Yes, they are more expensive than other companies at times, but often it's the only place you can get those products. It's the only place I've received a personal letter from the CEO when I did need to complain and the service I received then was so fantastic I wrote to tell them. All my friends are devotees too because they've seen how passionate about them I am. Their products are innovative and work and if they don't they'll replace them. If only other firms were like Lakeland....
I couldn't rate Lakeland Limited more highly. Their product range is vast and always very good quality. Customer service is excellent and the staff will always go the extra mile to help, whether instore or on the phone. Should an item not meet youir expectations, it will be exchanged or refunded without question. If only all retailers were as good as them!
