DON'T USE THEM AT ALL!!!!
They are TERRIBLE!! NEVER BUY FROM THEM! I've bought a laptop paid it for 615 pounds, they said they'll deliver it. I had very clearly given a delivery address but the day after I gave them a call and asked where the laptop is.. They said they have tried to deliver it but didn't manage to, there was no one there. It was my home address, a very big and obvious mistake. But when I pointed this out to them, they said no we have only 1 address. It was good that I printed out both the Order confirmation AND the print screen of the Order. Both said delivery address, but no they kept denying it. I than asked can you change the address and deliver it tomorrow to the right address, she told me yes but you have to go through security check, so she transferred me again. Than another women said no they transferred you wrongly, you need to tell this to customer service, anyway in the end I managed to get to someone to change the address, than I HAD to give a company name and it just couldn't go to my own name at my work place, so she again transferred me to another lady (I lost track of which department she was) and she wanted to get new address to deliver eventually, she asked me again where they should deliver, I said my address is the wrong place they delivered they need to deliver it at my work, she said No they didn't , they delivered it correct. Hung up. Incredible!!!!! It was obvious that they just don't have any manner nor any considerations nor anything! So because of my anger I called and wanted to cancel the order, lady said that she can do it for me, when she went into the system she said that she had seen that the product is already sent out, so I need to call the Customer Service and GUESS WHAT? They just closed. They are a NO GOOD website and I will call my bank to return the payment and continue to complain about this EVERYWHERE!

I am indifferent to this company actually
This company is 50%-50%, I would say. it seems that you can never know if the product you get from them is going to be good or bad. if you want to be sure of what you buy you might want to try bto switch to portable universe

Rubbish rubbish
I bought two laptops from this company. The 1st one didnt work from day one. I returned it and after 3 months of chasing I had refund. The 2nd one went bad soon after. Still trying to get them to sort this out. They will not even respond. Total waste of time. Its now just over 12months and I still dont have a working laptop. PLEASE NEVER EVER GOTO LAPTOP DIRECT

Cheap price and quik delivery
I don't understand all the negative feedback for laptopsdirect, I've used them twice in the last 4 years and I've never had a problem. They're probably the cheapest around for laptops and delivery has always come next day for me even though I chose the chepaest option. I'd definitely use them again and recommend to frie3nds too.

Repeat trade will not happen here!
Abismal company who employ every tactic to make your experience as unpleasant as possible.....too many to actually describe. I would like to meet some of their "customer service" people in person along with some of my friends. This company deserves to go bust but lets face it they will open up again as directlaptops or something with the same complete crooks and buffoons as before. Just don't buy...please....please...please....from here!

RIP OFF MERCHANTS
They called me after I placed my order to say that some of the laptops they send out are faulty, and without paying a £35 inspection charge, they would refuse to cover any faults such as pixel loss, which is not deemed as a fault... on a brand new laptop?!?!?!
Sales and customer services staff sound like they are being forced to take your call at gunpoint and go out of their way to be combative and rude, and try to make you sound like you're stupid (hey, I'm not the one working in a call centre trying to upsell for a scam merchant).
I have now had three follow on calls, even after I cancelled my order trying to upsell some rubbish Internet Security Package without which apparently I will be in grave danger, and it is way better than Norton and McAffee which they have had a LOT of complaints about, apparently.
BUY FROM SOMEONE ELSE, YOU HAVE THE CHOICE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BUNCH OF ****S!

Took payment, never delivered but sent false tracking number
I wanted an ultralight Toshiba R600-108 which is only available in the UK. I ended up with laptopsdirect.co.uk because PCWorld and other vendors recommended by Toshiba do not ship outside the UK (the online forms accept only UK delivery addresses). In addition, Laptopsdirect's ad announced more than 20 pieces in stock of the Toshiba R600-108 I wanted, so I expected quick delivery.
Dec. 28, 2008 - ordered and paid 1747.75 GBP.
Dec. 29, 2008 - A Laptopsdirect sales agent called me to pressure sell a "predelivery check" for defects such as missing pixels, etc.
Thinking that would motivate them to give priority to my order, I accepted. They charged my credit card an extra 39.50 GBP so I paid 1787.25 GBP in all.
Jan. 15, 2009 - After 2 weeks, I sent an eMessage inquiring about the delay. They replied that they were "currently awaiting stock of the laptop so we can then create your recovery dvd and do the pre delivery inspection". I pointed out that they had claimed to have 20 such laptops in stock, and asked to cancel the recovery dvd and pre-delivery check to avoid further delay. NO ANSWER. But the next day, my order's status had changed miraculously from "Not yet despatched" to "Despatched in full"!
Jan. 23, 2009: Nothing in sight a long week after the "full despatch". I asked for a proof of shipment and they sent me a ParcelForce tracking number EE450369823GB. On www.parcelforce.com, I found out that the parcel had been delivered in SPAIN!! I asked the Laptopsdirect agent to confirm that the tracking number was right and that the parcel had indeed been labeled with my address in France. He confirmed and said he would sort things out with Parcelforce and recontact me. NO FOLLOW-UP SINCE THEN, despite all my emails and phone calls. I am now convinced they sent me a false tracking number to cover up the fact that they had absolutely no intention of delivering.
Jan. 29, 2009: As a last resort, I filed a complaint with my credit card issuer and requested a refund for non-delivery of purchased goods.

No stock for in stock items (not that they would know)
Order laptop on a Thursday with next day delivery. No sign on Friday so i rang and was told it missed the deadline for next day (order placed @ 11am) but not processed till 6.30pm but it would be delivered monday phoned twice on monday once to check it was coming (yes i was told) and second time to find out what was happening. Aparently the laptop had not been shipped and I had missed the Monday deadline so It would not be delivered till wednesday.
At which point I have cancelled the order.
Lets see if my card is refunded.
Shocking service

Taking money for goods/services which are not despatched.
I ordered a net book online. only to receive an e-mail from them telling me that they had cancelled the order. I phoned to query this and was told it was a security matter, I went through some security chcks and was told goods would be dispatched for the Saturday delivery I had ordered. Goods failed to arrive on Saturday, when I checked the order tracking I found the order ha been cancelled yet again. I just received my credit card to discover they have charged me £22. This sum does not match any item ordered nor the postage, I have no idea what has been charged, I am now pursuing this matter through my Credit Card company.

Worst company ever
I can only agree with Peter Steffensen. This company should be avoided by all means!

Crooks!
Not only did they claim to have the units i ordered in stock, which was not true. They did not reply to any of my eight messages. And lastly they withdrew the money from my account before they shipped out the items, so now i have to get my bank to get me my money back because they do not reply to my messages!!! I HATE THAT COMPANY!
