Incompetent is the best thing to say about them. Ordered 2 vest tops. One came and the other marked as unavailable, even though both showed as in stock at the time of the order. The website said it was canceled, so I call to ask when I could expect a refund, only to be told it had since come in and a new order generated just minutes before my call. A few days later I look again and no new order and no dispatch notice. This time I emailed to get answers in writing and got 5 different answers in as many days. Eventually another one arrived, but it was not the same material as the first. Even better was both ran small when I had ordered over sized. The canceled status of the second item never changed. DO NOT waste money shopping with this company!
First time customer, ordered two large sofa throws from la redoute over 6 weeks ago, and still nothing.. I have spent hours and lots of money on their helpline at just under 20 p per minute, each time for them to say something COMPLETELY different about where my order is.. 2 weeks in they told me it was on its way, then they said it is still in France and now apparently they have to reorder it for me for some reason!? My throws must have been to and from France many times by now if they are to be believed! I have no idea whats going on and the service is terrible. last night they put the phone down on me when I asked them to hang on while I got the order details... After 10 mins of waiting for them to pick up.. It's disgusting.
I am loath to spend anymore money on their helpline so will be emailing them to cancel my order, and sending them the bill for all the money I have wasted on the phone lines.
What a pathetic company, and not a way to ensure they keep new customers...
I placed an order customer number 0801123732 order delivery enquiry 002562414 and I received a confirmation for my order but did not receive my items and my order DISAPPEARED from the site!
I contacted Customer Services who promised to resend my order , then nothing
I contacted Customer Services again & this time my order was sent out but I had an e-mail saying I had set up a credit account when I HADN'T but this is ok IF I get my order at the ORIGINAL PRICE charged ie £3 NOT FULL PRICE without the discount accepted on my original order!
I need a response to my e-mails as I will keep the credit account and order again in the future IF I am only charged the original amount of my order ie £3 otherwise I will have to return my order and close my account and not order ever again , thank you!
Despite all the negative feedback given for Laredoute, I decided to shop from them - so far I've had a good experience. Yes, they tend to be slow sometimes but at other times you'll receive your items within 2 days, it really depends on their stock level. They have really good promotions and voucher codes, I love the flash sales they have - spend £100 and get all your items for £50, and also the free item offers. Also being a loyal customer they send you great offers with free delivery by SMS.
The quality of their products are good, I love the basic tops and dresses - amazing.
Their refund and exchange policy is quiet good, I've returned and exchanged quiet a few thing.. but make sure you contact them and don't do it using the online service it can mess up, its always best you talk to someone.
Don't knock it till you tried it.
P.S - I forgot to mention - order a size smaller than you are, because they tend to come up quiet big. It genuinely doesn't bother me, as my clothes tell a lie for me :-P
I firstly ordered a coat online, the next day I received a email telling me that due to a technical fault my order had not been processed, this was despite receiving an order confirmation email.
I then phoned LaRedoute and was told the order had gone through and the coat would be delivered within 3 days.
The next day I logged onto my account to check the order status only to find NO order.
I again phoned LaRedoute and was told the order had been cancelled (without a reason) and I had to re-order over the phone, which I did and was told the coat would be delivered within 3 working days.
Upon checking my bank account I noticed that no payment to LaRedoute had been taken and once again phoned to check my order only to be told my order had been cancelled and I again needed to re-order.
Upon re-ordering I was informed that the colour I requested was now out of stock so I re-ordered a different colour.
3 days after ordering I again checked my bank account and again noticed that no payment to LaRedoute had been made. I once again phoned and after 30 minutes waiting for the call to be answered was told my order had been again been cancelled and I again needed to re-order. Yea right what was the point.
Gloosy mag, rubbish quality, once you are listed you are to receive junk mail for ever more and also statements claiming money for three months after account closed and was paid in full. INEPT OR POSSIBLY ALMOST BORDERING ON THE ILLEGAL? DONT FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.... DO NOT TOUCH IT !!!!!!!!!>>>>AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!
ORDERED MORE THAN A MONTH AGO AND STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ITEM. LIES ABOUT COMPOSITION OF PRODUCTS. COMPLETELY USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE. 'CHOOSES' TO REPLY EMAILS AND NEVER GIVES SATISFACTORY ANSWERS. BLACKLISTED FOREVER AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND (WILL IN FACT WARN PEOPLE ABOUT IT) TO PEOPLE.
I would advise you not to use La Redoute. Their products are nice so it is a shame that their service is so bad. The auto-response you receive after you've sent them an email is a clue; they promise a response "within seven days"!! Have you ever heard anything like it? Do they want our business?!
I have found them horrifying to use in the past, but the past few weeks are really the last straw. They've cancelled items from my order as they are out of stock. So then why are they advertised on the website? And more to the point, why have I not been informed that the items have been cancelled? It seems courteous. They take weeks on end to post things out to you, and then do not inform you when the items have been posted either. You are left to play both the waiting and the guessing game. What fun. Their website is also poorly designed and gives little indication as to what the status is with your order, so you have to email them.
Which brings me to the worst of it. They don't respond to emails. I have now sent them around 4-5 emails about my order, enquiring about its status and then asking for it to be cancelled completely. The first couple were polite, but I haven't held back on telling them how annoyed I am in the more recent ones! You'd think that might make them pull their fingers out, the fact that ones of their customers is extremely irritated with them? Nope! Still no response.
Their website, as I've mentioned, is really no good and is not easy to navigate. Another annoyance is that they advertise and send you all these promotional codes and discounts to entice you, but none of the codes are valid for any of the items listed!! Seriously, I have never yet managed to find an item that was eligible for the advertised discounts and I've tried to use them many times.
I will be closing my account as soon as my latest order is sorted out, however long that make take. Wish me luck.
I caught the delivery man peeing in front door of flars 2 !weeks before and i was upset with him for that , he started,to abuse me instead for saying sorry , i wrote to the company about this issue got no reply and no action was taken
This saturday i met same delivery man, he said to me that He is gonna hit me once he finishes delivering , i simply called police and this delivery man disappeared quickly, i need to file proper complain in police station as the company doesnt care , so be carefull
Some nice clothes in some of La Redoute’s ranges, but overall, the quality of their clothes is not good. Delivery is sporadic and unprofessional and items do get left on the doorstep. (The main aim of the deliverers seems to be to get rid of the delivery.)
Two main problems: A stupid website which often fails to recognise La Redoute's own loudly trumpeted promotion codes, or recognise my e-mail address as a valid e-mail address (even 'though I've used it several times before on the website), making for a very frustrating order process; and the fact that it seems impossible to remove your name from their database.
I have been trying for months to turn off the supply of catalogues from La Redoute. I have sent three e-mails on the subject to the company (their contact phone number is an 0844 number: Another reason not to do business with them). The only response I've had is an e-mail encouraging me to complete an unfinished order on their website!
My advice would be to avoid doing business with La Redoute. If you start, you may find it very hard indeed to get out! Don't sign your life away.

I'VE HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH LAREDOUTE FOR YEARS AND I SWEAR I HAVE NEVER PURCHASED ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING THAT I DID NOT RETURN TO THEM. THEY USE SUCH CHEAP FABRICS THE CLOTHES NEVER LOOK LIKE THEIR PHOTOS, THEIR SIZES DIFFER FROM ONE ITEM TO ANOTHER AND THEIR SO CALLED DISCOUNT CODES NEVER WORK!!!!!! I'VE RECEIVED DOZENS OF CODES OVER THE YEARS, I FOLLOW THEIR TERMS + CONDITIONS RELIGIOUSLY AND THEY STILL DO NOT WORK, NEVER, NOT 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In early December 2011 I purchased from this establishment one double sized purple clover flannel bedding set intended as a Christmas gift for my sister.
After proceeding through the checkout process I was informed that while the duvet cover and one pillowcase were en route, the remaining three pillowcases and the fitted sheet required to complete the set were out of stock and would remain so until early January 2012.
I gifted the bedding set to my sister on Christmas day as intended, telling her as I had been told that the items outstanding were set to arrive in January.
January commenced and I purused the website expecting to see a despatch notice, instead I learned that the delivery date had in fact now been pushed back to February.
At this point, having already given the bedding set to my sister, I felt that I really had no choice but to wait it out.
February came and went yet those attached to La Redoute remained silent and I had yet to receive the desired items.
March 2012 now, and to my absolute delight the three purple clover flannel pillowcases arrived to complete at least this part of the set, and were subsequently given straight to my sister.
I rather foolishly thought that given this new development, the required fitted sheet would soon follow at which point I would no longer have to do business with this thoroughly sub-standard firm- How wrong I was!
April came and neared its end, and having heard still nothing from the ever evasive La Redoute I began to pen emails to the customer services department enquiring as to the whereabouts of this long overdue order.
The first submission went without reply, hence a second application of the same followed the next week, and a third approximately one week after that.
Following the elapse of quite some time I was finally sought as recipient of an anonymous email wherein it was purported that the purple clover fitted sheet now required to complete my sister's set had, "Due to popular demmand" been discontinued.
No apology was made, nor was any resolution offered.
Having waited five months, and feeling that this situation was totally unacceptable, I wrote to head of customer care one Ms. Liz Roberts who in turn ignored each and every one of my written submissions.
At this point it should be noted that I did business with this firm following a recommendation from my mother, and as such had utilised her account to order.
Whilst those affiliated to La Redoute had been only too happy to take payment from me, when it came to an issue of poor service, they were only able to converse with my mother, indeed, she began to receive a number of unsolicited telephone calls supposedly engineered at resolution.
As a result of my own independent research I had, at this point, discovered that one Mr. Michael Truluck held the position of Redcats UK Managing Director. (Redcats is the company responsible for founding La Redoute.)
I sent this man a letter detailing the abysmal experiences that I had had with his firm. In it I requested that he authorise despatch of a gratis bedding set in order to make my sister whole and finally ensure that she had in her possession, a bedding set that was fit for purpose, and one hundred pounds compensation to reflect the time and effort I have been forced to expend in seeking a just outcome to this complaint.
Though Mr. Truluck possessed not the courtesy to acknowledge or respond to my letters I did, some time later, receive correspondence authored by Centre Operations Manager one Mr. Andrew Farnell later backed via Company Secretary and Solicitor one Mr. Craig Roberts wherein a credit of fifty pounds to my mother's account was proposed.
Not only is this offer derisory, it is also conditional. In order to take advantage I must do further business with the firm which I am just not prepared to do under the circumstances!
As of today's date my sister does not have a complete bedding set which is fit for purpose, and I have wasted my time and energy attempting to reason with a company that refuses to recognise the value of customer service.
Please help me send a loud and clear message to La Redoute officials- boycot this firm and spread the word by posting your own reviews here and over at www.blagger.com.

Ordered a sewing machine 6 July 2012, today, 6th August nothing has yet appeared.
In the meantime, phoned, emailed and been sent up the garden path. Just phoned and been told that on the 9th of August it should arrive. Told by a bad tempered, rude person who spoke bad French. No apology from him.
With difficulty extracted the name of the transport people from him and date of arrival. Looked the transport people up in the yellow pages (La Redoute guy had no phone number) but they are not responding.
This is the LAST time I buy from LaRedoute France!!
Compare that to Amazon or Ebay sellers!
tout est parfait sur le site, concernant le service client rien à dire mais je trouve dommage que les frais de livraison à domicile soit très chère. Limite j'aurais compris si les frais au point relais était gratuit mais bon ^^ on ne peut pas tout avoir.
I ordered first time with laredoute and i am really disappointed to be honest. Customer service is pathetic, they are rude and they wouldnt answer you properly. my order took 2-3 weeks to arrive and top of that 2 of my leggings were damaged and faulty, i was very upset and decided to return everything so i rang them to arrange a return, waited for 3 days no sign of courier, i got so angry that i ended up going post office and had to wait in the long que. i am really not happy with the delivery, return service and especially CUSTOMER SERVICE. i would NOT recommend anyone to buy ANYTHING from LA REDOUTE! its totally waste of money and time top of that clothes are faulty too.
I ordered for the first (and last) time from La Redoute a couple of weeks ago. The first indication that I had made a mistake was that the order took a week to arrive, instead of next day as promised during sign up. Undeterred by the delay, and the conduct of the courier, I set to opening the parcel.
The first item was a vaguely dress-shaped bag in cheap crunchy-feeling fabric. Primark special, really - and added at least a decade to my real age. Slightly more cautiously, I opened the second item. It was more akin to a burial shroud than a light and sophisticated 2-in-1 dress/cardi. I'll stop there and not describe the rest - you get the idea.
I then attempted to return the parcel. Couldn't get hold of the courier (as the parcel was not delivered to/returned from the address which my card is registered to, so what if some of us have more than one home?!) In the end, took it to the Post Office.
Customer services reps were not rude as such, but certainly not as helpful and approachable as they ought to be. And finally, the returns procedure sucks. Just bag it all back up, and post it off. I actually got the Post Office clerk to take a video of me bagging everything back up and depositing the parcel with him, as I cannot believe that an order worth over £100 could just be sent back on blind faith. And I am still waiting to hear about the refund!
