Bought some surround sound speakers from them last year. Months of "we're trying to get hold of them" wouldn't refund me and I have now found out they are actually comet and were taking money for products they didn't have before they went bust. A good company that turned into a scam at the end as someone benefited from all the money for orders never fulfilled!
And what are your consumer rights? None, their bust and perfectly entitled to take your money and run!
Price Great - my Canon Cooker was £400 cheaper than many retailers - £450 instead of £850!!
Great Service - Delivered on time in perfect condition. Also, paid for the installation service who were unable to install it as the law now requires a tiled surface behind the mounting point, not wallpaper. Rang customer services and explained. They couldn't have been more helpful in re-booking the installation for a time after the wall had been tiled.
When the cooker later developed a problem with the timer buttons bubbling from the heat, again customer services couldn't have been more helpful and pointed me to the Canon Help Line who arranaged for new buttons to be fitted.
Overall an excellent experience and 1st class service.
Bought a 42 in Panasonic smart TV, it needed a dongle to connect it to the internet. I bought one from Amazon only to find that it would not work with the TV. I rang Laskys they knew nothing about it and told me to ring Panasonic which I did. They told me I needed to get one which would be compatable and gave me some model numbers. Back to Amazon new dongle arrived and again did not work. Back to Laskys who still knew nothing and sent me back to Panasonic. They asked me the details of my TV and were suprised that it was this year's model despite my having told them I'd just bought it, they gave me a further selection dongles to choose from. Back to Amazon dongle arrived next day works perfectly everythin about the TV fine just a pity that niether Laskys nor Panasonic could just tell me or offer to sell me the right dongle in the first place.
I bought a 37" Panasonic TV way back in 2010. The price was great, and so was the product. However, they failed to deliver "Next Day", as promised. Naturally, I assumed they would re-attempt the following day.
When nothing turned up on the 2nd day, I contacted the call centre to ask what was going on. They said the driver had indeed failed to deliver, and had no problem refunded the £25 delivery charge. I asked why the driver hadn't attempted to deliver the next day, and was told that I had to call in myself for the order to be re-allocated.
I found it strange that THEY did not contact ME to let me know there would be a delay.
Anyway, the TV showed up on day 3 and I was happy with it. But had I not called up myself to enquire, who knows when it would have arrived...

Ordered a dishwasher, failed to turn up on 2 occasions, customer service have no idea why and just want to book delivery again.
I cancelled the order and will never use again.

Bought a panasonic HIFI and it had a fault on arrival, apart from the fact laskys ONLY have an 0844 number and they don`t make the callbacks that they promise, they will not even discuss product faults.
I was told to contact the manufacturer and that Laskys would NOT discuss ANY issues I had.
I will NOT deal with Laskys ever again.
Ordered an item on the 23rd April 2012, was told would be sent out that week for delivery via Parcel Force, no delivery. Received a call from Laskys to say they had screwed up and that it was now out for delivery for wed the 2nd May. Nothing appeared on wed, called them on the 3rd and they said it had NOT been put out for delivery, WHY? no explanation given, and they had plenty of this item in stock. offered a courier delivery for Sat 5th May 2012, no choice, lets see if it shows on Sat 5th May....
Never ever use this company. Their after sales service is worst I have ever experienced. Our washing machine, which is still under warranty, has been leaking water for nearly a month now. We have had 3 engineers visit so far, cancelled appointments, told the parts have been ordered...then told they have not been ordered. Told that after 2 visits if they can't fix it you get a new machine,,,then told later that that's not true. The list is endless.

Having waited in all day they failed to deliver. I called them and they just said the item had not been put for delivery that day, and it would now be the following day. No apology, no compensation.
They just do not understand the concept of customer service.
Would have given NO stars - if that were possible. Ordered item online and confirmed it was IN stock. Day prior to agreed delivery date contacted and told that OUT of stock (?!) and would be a several day delay. Customer Service dept the worst I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with - unhelpful, inflexible, uncaring and they seem to deliberately ignore requests, use numerous delaying tactics and seem totally unable to understand customer frustration. They REFUSE to pass you onto a superior when you ask and will only ask one to call you back - in FOUR HOURS! When you ask to speak to the Head of Complaints they say you have to write in! (absolutely useless if you need to get something sorted immediately). Incorrect info on website, broken promises, totally unnacceptable service. They deviously blamed the manufacturer for the delay but I checked and this simply was not true.
Unfortunately their is no option for zero stars.
Be very wary about their "multibuy" offer - it is nothing more than applying voucher codes and not competitive! Their "customer service" are very defensive which usually implies a company has something to hide.
Laskys claim not to have any control over the price of delivery, installation or pick up of old appliances. Very dubious statements. You pay them directly for this they have a contract with a distribution and installation company... think about it.
Do not pay for removal of your old appliances - its a con. Most councils will provide a FREE service to pick up your old appliances. These are then taken to a recycling company who pay the council for your old appliances to be scrapped. After scrapping the recycling company then sell on the metals to manufacturers or construction industry. Why should Laskys and their distributors be PAID TWICE for your appliance?
Ordered a Home Theatre system online because of the price, then mistakenly looked up reviews of them, doubting anyone could be that bad, could they?
The answer is a definitive YES!
Advised my delivery date was 30/1 so duly awaited the item. At 5pm I called to ask where it was, turns out the delivery date changed to 31/1, just no one told me. Kindly the customer service agent, who was helpful, offered to refund the postage I paid and assured me the item was out for delivery with Parcel Force.
So I duly waited all day on the 31/1, by 6pm no item. Called them up again and got one of their more common customer service agents, who couldn't have given a toss. I explained the item wasn't here, he explained that there had been problems with their ordering process and the item had not gone out for delivery the day before as it should have. I explained that I was already told it was out for delivery but apparently that wasn't the case.
I duly received a full refund, with the assurance from me that I will never ever use this company again.
Poor communication, poor website order tracking, disinterested customer services and a well earned reputation. Believe all the reviews, they really ARE that bad.
I ordered a Bosch tumble dryer from Laskys and read some of the reviews of them prior to this. They had easily the best price online and i thought i would take a chance with them. I arranged a delivery day and my wife took a day off work for this. The slot was 8-6. My wife called them at 4pm to ask about the delivery which they assured her was still coming. I arrived home at 515 and called again. I was told that the unit had never got on board the truck in the morning but they had failed to inform us of this. I then asked for it to be delivered on a Saturday but i would not pay for the delivery to which they consented. I have just rung them as it was due to be delivered this morning by 12 (it is 11 now) only to be told that again it was not on the truck and again they had failed to inform me of this. I have asked for a full refund, I will wait to see if that arrives. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
Ordered a product and upgraded to premium delivery. I called 2 days before delivery as I hadn't received a tracking number or any confirmation from Laskys (site is pretty poor for order tracking) but assured that it will be here on time.
Day of delivery turns up and it hadn't been sent out. Customer services didn't care, no apology just that they'd send it out for another day... not good enough after a wasted day.
Have gone elsewhere and will not use retailer in future.
Ordered a panasonic TV and arrive promptly. All was well until it developed a fault where it had a thick black line in the middle of the screen. After a lot of hassle they finally swapped it for a new one. The new one also has now gone wrong. Ive had an engineer out and apparently its the power supply. They can give me no idea of when this part will come in so at the moment I have no TV. Pretty poor service.
Low prices, but messed up order however customer service was reasonable and order resolved quickly.
Having waited half a day for my oven to turn up , I phoned them to be informed that all the ovens are damged and I can't have my oven until Christmas Eve morning. Another firm I will never deal with again.
My wife's in tears after being let down by Comet (no suprise there) and now Laskys after I paid extra for a specific delivery date.AVOID.
I value informed and responsive customer service which is why in future I will give Comet/Laskys a very wide berth.
I bought a hugely expensive LG washing machine online from Laskys. The machine had a good Which? Rating and the Laskys price was competitive.
The machine broke down last week (13 Dec) and the electronic screen message indicated a service engineer was required.
I rang LG who were great, but told me the guarantee was bought out by Laskys, wish I'd realised when I bought the machine (I'd have been tempted to pay the higher price at John Lewiswith their great service ethic).
To be fair, engineer was booked for 22 December. But it all went wrong on 20 December. I experienced the full Comet/Laskys archaic customer service operating process with its rigid adherence to scripted answers and total failure to make post purchase customer satisfaction a priority.
8.44 am 20 Dec: phone message from Comet/Laskys saying parts had not arrived and engineer has been cancelled for Thursday 22 Dec (3 days before Christmas!).
I rang back:
Customer service number charges 10p per minute (!).
Bouncy young man told me the parts hadn't been received ..
I asked if customer services had phoned to find out where parts were, might they be sent in next 24 hours?. Finally, after persistent questioning, I was told Customer services hadn't phoned and wouldn't be pro-active for 14 days!!! -
'our process is to wait for 14 days, we cannot phone before then'
I expressed my dis-satisfaction, and received more scripted answers.
I asked to speak to his supervisor and was told no-one was available, but I could wait (at 10p per minute). I said get someone to ring me and was told they couldn't do that - although they had telephoned to cancel my appt for 2 days hence!
I put the phone down furious, dissatisfied and absolutely resolute I will never buy from them again.
Appalling customer service and process, which doesn't adequately support a quality product. LG your products are too good for this distributor, you should use use a supplier that values their customers post sale - like John Lewis and independently owned retailers.
I'm appalled at the lack of service, inability to make a single phone call or demonstrate an iota of customer service intelligence - and most of all I cannot believe that Comet/Laskys expect their customers to accept this lacklustre standard.
My advice - go elsewhere. Zero star rating.
Made a purchase on line from Laskys, recieved email of confirmation and delivery date. Two days later and at 19:04 (phone lines close at 19:00) recieved a second email to say item out of stock and no guarantee when next in stock. Eventually next day spoke with customer services who explained that if the order was cancelled it would take upto 5 working days to refund, this item was a gift for my son who had a birthday in 7 days, explained the situations and that I was unable to purchase a replacement product because my funds were with them (£399) and they suggested a replacement. I agreed to replacement which I was told would be delivered either the Tuesday or Wednesday following week. Confirmation email confirmed order to be delivered on the Friday, my son's birthday is the Saturday. After reading reviews I now realise what a terrible mistake I have made ordering form this company and now know that ,my product may not even appear on the Friday. Think seriously before purchasing any items form this company, they entice you with deals and then do not follow through, I wonder now whether my item was ever in stock although a revisit to the web site shows that it is now listed as out of stock pity they did not post that before I made my purchase!
After purchasing 3 large electrical items from this company online i would have expected a favourable response to a major fault occurring to the cooker within only 16 months of purchase,but not so their customer services have decided to hide behind the 12 month manufactures warranty and refused to accept it was a faulty product and have only offered a chargeable call out and repair.
Advise you take out extended warranty with any item bought from this company,you WILL need it.
Customer services were excellent; people who understood my situation, were knowledgeable about the process and made good notes on their system. The email communications about the orders and their status were also good. When a new TV arrived broken from the warehouse I received lots of good comms and the company seemed to go out of their way to put it right.
Ordered goods and was given delivery date, approx 3 days. Date put off time and time again, stocking problems I was told. Not too much of a problem for me, but I do object to the money been taken from my card when no fixed date for delivery could be given. Was told that if they refunded my money it would render the order cancelled and that I would not be front of the queue so to speak when the delivery finally came in. Exasperated, I cancelled. However, refund was processed very quickly.
Having read some of the reviews on this site, I was a little nervous ordering from Laskys, but they were so competitive on price that I thought I'd give them a try. The delivery was promised in 5 or 6 days, and as promised on the 6th day the item arrived by Parcel Force.
I have to say that it arrived on time and was considerably cheaper than other sites, so in this case 5 stars for laskys.

Waited in all day for a delivery which was scheduled between 8 and 6 . Rang laskys at 5.40 to be told it was not on their system and wouldn't be coming. They have already taken the money . I have asked for a refund and will not be using them again
I am regretting my decision of ordering a camera from Laskys. My camera din't arrive on the scheduled date - I took a day's leave waiting for the camera.
While enquired with customer service, I was told that the delivery service ( Parcel Force) hasn't picked the item from warehouse. Well that doesn't sound professional. I wanted the camera very urgently and this news confirms that I did a blunder believeing Laskys.
My advice : Please refrain ordering from Laskys, if you need your order on time.

Waited 7 days for the iteam to arrive through parcel force. The item was supposed to be brand new, but it had been used. We informed them and they sent out another one which was great and only took 3 days.

Ordered camera and arrived promptly, however the camera was not as good as the Manufacturer had made out ( No fault of Laskys) Ask to return under distance selling act. Return was easy and fast, they sent a courier the next day.
I bought an LG plumming free american fridge freezer 6 months ago and it was almost £200 cheaper than i could find it anywhere else. The communication and delivery was great, they even offered to remove the doors to get through my doorway but it went through with ease, they put it in situ and took away all the packaging. I will always check their site when buying.
1 - It took 8 days to receive the order
2 - The plastic coverage on the package was damaged when I received it from conciergerie (and it is a loose strecth film by the way, no surprise that it is damaged!)
3 - They have sent the wrong product!!! I have ordered SOUNDSTICKS II , but I received SOUNDSTICKS III (which is cheaper by the way!)
Product (a Dyson) excellent, excellent value and exactly as described. Delivered first thing Monday, having been ordered Friday (3-5 day service), so extremely pleased. Only tiny quibble: was not given password or memorable question by Customer Service (ordered by phone), so had to work it out when visited website! But only a small niggle - overall, excellent indeed, would wholeheartedly recommend and most definitely use again.
