You will not get what you booked!!!!

Booked hotel evening of Tuesday 8th April to go to Manchester on 10th April, it's a 3 and a half hour journey to get there. Turned up at hotel on Thursday 10th April to check in, to be told no booking. Contacted lastminute.com to find out issue to be told you booked for 8th April, I know I categorically did not, I was at work at my school on the Wednesday in Milton Keynes so there is no way I would of booked for the Tuesday evening. The hotel say that lastminute.com should speak to their accounts department at main office they may be able to do something, lastminute.com say the hotel can't do anything even though I was stood there when the hotel receptionist told him to contact accounts. Discussion had with the hotel receptionist and they state they would never use a third party booking agent because of all the problems they see customers have. At no point did I receive an email confirmation, as if I had maybe I would of noticed the incorrect date, told by lastminute.com that if I had contacted the hotel on the evening of 8th then maybe something could of been done. I WOULD NOT OF CONTACTED THEM BECAUSE I WASNT INTENDING AND HADNT BOOKED TO GO UNTIL THE 10TH APRIL!!!!! Having done research online it seems I am not the only person that has had this problem, this is disgusting because companies are making off the back of a rubbish system. As a woman on her own, I did not want to be running around Manchester finding somewhere to stay, so all in all, taking into account what I had already paid and what I then had to pay to get a hotel room, my evening in Manchester cost £400 for one nights stay in a hotel!!!! All I'm asking lastminute.com for is a refund on the initial booking. All lastminute.com can say is you chose the wrong date!!!!! NO I DID NOT!!!!

Despite booking confirmation, no room and appalling customer service

I have used Lastminute on many occasions but never again.
I booked a hotel, received the confirmation email and turned up at the hotel only to be told that Lastminute had made an error and that there was no room available. Apparently there were five people in a similar situation and I actually met one of them who had been there for three hours trying to get a resolution. I then spent the next two hours either on hold or finally talking to people who did not have the seniority to help me. The only alternative I was offered was a hotel around 8 miles away - I had booked a central London hotel because I needed to be in central London, not to end up in Wembley! While I was waiting, I found a number of hotels with rooms available and at around 9.30pm decided to book one of them myself as Lastminute had failed to find a suitable alternative. The ultimate insult came when I asked to speak to someone who could authorise paying for the room I booked only to be asked whether it would wait until the morning!
I am still chasing them for a refund - they are quick enough to take my money but it will take 7-10 days to return it - and I am still waiting for the promised email about how to complain about their appalling customer service.

For me, very bad way to do business!

I feel that they are not clear in showing their terms and conditions. When I bought a flight ticket I get this message:

CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS: CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS: Any changes / cancellations to your reservation are subject to a processing fee of $ 30.00 per ticket in Addition to any airline imposed penalties and / or collection of additional airfare. All tickets are non-transferable.

With that message I understood that I was available to do flight cancellations ... but when you want to cancel they say "NO CANCELLATION permitted" now they do not want return my money even explaining that I have a certificate of medical urgency,
For me, very bad way to do business!

Always beat the best price i can find

Travelled to usa twice and egypt with these guys and great prices. Always beat price and the flexibility to specify times of day for flight etc. Brilliant. Expect more future bookings. Flightcentre always rip me off. So happy with these guys :)

BE VERY AWARE

Be very aware when using lastmiunte.com, the advert is not necessarily a deal or being sold a at reduced price., as my purchase was the same price as the venue but now with restricted time period to use it. Lastminute.com informed me they offer a service and not a bargain or a offer. Disappointingly was the attitude from their staff would became argumentative in the conservation and as good as informed I needn't understand the meaning of the words: deal,offer and service.I would advise potential buyers to check the same venue on original site as well as other sites.
I will be avoiding this "SERVICE" in future.

Lastminute.com left me with headache!

Never have a customer service provided me such POOR and miserable service. I spend almost a whole day trying too sort out a payment for a holiday package. It takes approximately FOREVER for them to take down the order information, but what are they too do when they cant speak english prober, or even worse, pronounce the letters?! Well, guess you just gotta bear with it.

This worst part is yet to come. After spending a whole day sorting out a millions of problem the payment was finally through, or was it? Suddenly it wasn't through because of an error which my bank had to give me an authorization code for so Lastminute.com could transfer the money back to my account and then try to do the payment once again. Oh god, that didn't work out either. So now i have 2300 pounds stuck at Lastminute.com and ill have to wait 7-10 working days before i'll find the money available on my account again, which really annoys me when I obviously would like to book my holiday package soon before everything is taken. BUT next time through a different company!

Poor

Booked a spa break through lastminute.com and they failed to pay the agreed cashback despite offering this in print. I will be cancelling the break as they went back on the agreement. Poor service. I will not use them again.

Hasn't Let Me Down

I use lastminute.com to book hotels to go into London and have been doing this for the last few years. The service has always been very reliable and has never let me down. I do find it a little difficult to find the right locations that I need. You spend a lot of time on google maps working out where the places are relative to where you want to be.

Don't seem to get many good deals for London, but it is an expensive place. Other web sites have cheaper hotels, but the quality isn't as good as lastminutes hotels. I've been using the top secret hotels recently. That way I've found you can get a good bargain

Good customer service

Having booked a 5* Hotel through Secret Hotels, I was highly disappointed with the hotels location in a shady part of Rome which was not safe to be walking around in the dark (as the majority of reviews revealed). The hotel said no to a refund and if I was to cancel they would take the full 3 nights payment. It took longer than the 24hrs Lastminute quoted to get a response from the hotel challenging their position. It was nearly a week when I heard back, at which point I had assumed it was a no, so to my surprise, they came through. Lastminute pursed this for me and the canellation was authorised and I received a full refund. It's good to see a company providing support for customers when possible.

a useful service but please tell the truth!

I really don't expect a 50% discount plus a 10% discount. However, when I am e-mailed and invited to book, I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Calling in to discover that there are no hotels IN CENTRAL LONDON, you know that world famous capital city. Come on Last Minute, there's no need to mislead people like that. you create an unhappy customer from a happy one - not, I would suggest, a sensible strategy!

A bunch of charlatans, caveat emptor!

I booked a secret hotel with last minute.com for £199 which was apparently a discount of up to 31%. Upon contacting the hotel I was informed that the same room was available at £136 had I booked direct with them. Tried to call last minute.com twice and was hung up both times. Eventually got a response by email only to be told that the price match guarantee doesn't apply because they are offering a double room and the hotel are offering double or twin. In my view, this is absolutely diabolical. I would wholeheartedly discourage anyone from using this company as in my experience, they do not care about their customers. First and last time I will be using them.

Best price on the Internet

After spending considerable time 'checking' that other sites could not offer the deal any cheaper, we discovered what we knew in the first place really. lastminute.com have the best prices on the Internet. On top of this, a discount code for Valentine's arrived in my Inbox the day before we booked, so I saved even more money. Thanks lastminute.com - can't wait to enjoy the holiday now.

Expected more from mystery hotel

We decided to use last minute mystery hotel as we never used the service before and we found it excellent we loved the service however we didn't like our hotel we didn't feel we got the best for our money the room was dark, low maintance, the distance of the hotel was not the best and having a twin room wasn't the best for a young couple either.

Great savings on Hotels

I have been using lastminute.com for a few months now and I find them such a great site for making massive savings on hotels. For example booked a single room for a hotel based in the city centre of Birmingham for only £23!. What can I say! !
