I have used the Last Minute website for the past 3 years, when looking and indeed booking my annual family holiday. As well as offering Value for money, they also offer a one stop shop for other holiday related products.

If you want to compare a holiday, and also probably find a cheaper alternative, then this is one of the best places to start.

Great Value, Great Service and above all easy to use.

Fantastic company w/ easy to use web format

I have travelled to the U.S twice now using Lastminute.com, and even booked flights for my U.S fiance, back home to America using the site, and had nothing but ease. The website is easy to use, and I have never encountered any issues. I wouldn't know of their customer service, as I've never had to use it. A return flight I had booked had been changed, and I remember being slightly annoyed that they'd not given me any option about the change, which meant a delayed wait in the airport of 8hours, instead of 5. But I've heard this is normal with most airfare companies, so can't really complain. Would use their site every time, and recommend it to friends and family

lastminute.com have totally messed up a 2 day trip to lisbon fior me and 4 of my friends. tried booking flights/hotel package online, saw a good deal, entered details for 5 people, names, dates of birth etc etc, by the time i pressed confirm, the flights had gone. Found alternatives, went down same process, same result. did this 3 times, with no luck. Frustrated, i thought i'd phone them. deal with a real human. little did i know. Again, gave the guy details of what i wanted, told him i had seen something at 267 quid each. Hey, i can do something better he says. 224 pounds. Great says i. Gave him all details again for 5 people, by the time he spelt out and repeated every detail i gave him, the flights had gone. He finally found something at over 300 quid , i told him i was not happy, as i had started at 267 quid, he offered 224 quid, now, after 40 minutes, i'm at over 300 quid. he explained that the flight prices move up and down, ok, i understand that. but if lastminure.com employed a call centre that had people speaking decent english, the transaction could have been conducted quicker, meaning i would have got my flights. Spoke with supervisor, he said he would call me with something within half hour, its now been hour and 10 minutes and nothing, not even the courtesy of a call telling me they cant help. Thanks lastminute.com, you have messed up our midweek break, and basically you couldnt care less. i will not be using you again, and i recommend that other people dont either.

Nothing special and then found thing I brought was cheaper when we arrived!

USELESS, INCOMPETENT, NO SERVICE

Booked a flight two weeks ago, three months ahead as relatives are coming the first time over and I have planned a huge family reunion which hasn't happened for 20 years!!!
There were two flights available, one going out of London at 6am, one at 10am. Went for the 10am due to public transport usage.
Yesterday I received an e-mail that my flight was cancelled and if I wish to proceed with the 6am flight I should reply to this email within 48 hours. As further arrangements have been made already, I replied to the e-mail accepting the inconvenience. No confirmation until today. Had to call their hotline which is somewhere outside UK, barely understood what the agent was telling me. Now waiting for the confirmation which hopefully will come soon!
In the e-mail nothing was mentioned about a reimbursement if flight would be cancelled from lastminute.com, no phonecall received from their side (phone number supplied when done the booking).
Next time I rather spend some more money but have some assurance of my booking instead of going cheap at all means! The money I have saved I now have to spend on a taxi! Well done lastminute.com!

They misrepresent information and when they are at fault they deny compensation and bet on the fact that powerless consumers will not sue because the personal cost of suing is too high. Avoid at all cost.

Theatre Deals are the tops

Not the only reason I use them, nor are they the only agent I've ever used. They are, however, consistantly good at service and value.

Show Was Great, Meal Was Appalling!!!

I booked a theatre and meal deal through lastminute.com for my girlfriends birthday. I didn't pay a lot for the deal so I wasn't expecting much in terms of meal and seats but I was planning to make the most of it all the same. We arrived for the meal at Kitchen Italia in Covent Garden and were handed a small menu called their "Rapido" Menu. The waitress explained that we entitled to a main course from the rapido menu and a glass of house wine or soft drink. So good so far, however, 20 minutes after ordering our meals and drinks, nothing had arrived. Then out of nowhere, a small slab of lasagne arrived in front of me, stone cold!!! I told the waitress who didn't even offer an apology and took the food away. Meanwhile, my girlfriends macaroni and cheese arrived complete with raw pieces of bacon in it!!! So again we told the waitress and again no apology and again took the food away. 5 minutes later my lasagne was returned, nuked to an inch of it's life and my girlfriends macaroni and cheese minus the raw bacon. Both tasted as bad as they looked and we still hadn't had our drinks. At this point we decided to leave, without so much as a goodbye from the staff. Before we left I did notice that the meal offered would've cost us £7.95 each, along with the £30 theatre tickets, our so called "Deal" should've cost £75.90......I paid £80.00!!!
Anyway, the seats in the theatre were great and the show was awesome, apart from the over enthusiastic woman next to me who hit me on the head and in the face several times, to my girlfriends delight!!
So to sum up, lastminute theatre and meal deals aren't deals at all and cost more than face value. And stay away from Kitchen Italia!!!!

Fantastic and easy to use

Booked a last minute trip to Moulin Rouge, and we ended up having the best seats in the house with three course meal and complementary drinks all night. I do not know whether this was a mistake but wonderful mistake if it was!

Went to Spain last summer with a ticket from lastminute.com
I saved more than £500 and had a great experience.

I think lastminute.com not only have some awesome deals, but they are really helpful on the other end of the phone. I was booking my first holiday by myself so had no clue what I was doing, luckily I had a great guy, named Ricky, helping me out all the way! So, yea, I definitely recommend them! Great service, and even better if you ask to speak to Ricky. Haha

Good deals, good service

I've gotten some good deals and service from this site. I don't use it too often, but I plan on using it more in the future for those last minute travel adventures!

Beware Dinner/Theatre Packages are not always best option

I booked a dinner/theatre trip as a special outing for myself and three friends through lastminute.com. The package was £40 and it said tickets were up to £45 face value and we would get the best available seats within their allocation so we thought great.

Dinner was fine but when we got to the theatre the seats were dreadful and we were so high up the only way we could see the stage was by leaning right forward for the whole of the performance! We went to the box office and asked if we could change seats as there were plenty of empty seats elsewhere but they said no, we had to stay where we were.

We talked to other people who had done the same as us, they were all very disappointed. We also found that we could have put the same deal together ourselves by going direct to the theatre and would have got much better seats for less money. Complained to lastminute.com who said they were seats with a good view - only with binnoculars and if you are a contortionist! They offered a £10 voucher towards another event.........I don't think so. Won't use lastminute.com ever again.

Last Minute Theatre Tickets? Go Anywhere Apart From Here!

I have used lastminute.com for about four years to book all kinds of things - holidays, comedy events, theatre shows, meal deals, etc. The prices are cheaper than booking direct. But after yesterday, I will never use them again.

About a week ago, I searched for available theatre tickets for the day of my search. The site presented me with a few options. I found a show I wanted and booked it. When I arrived, the show said there were no tickets for me that night but tickets were reserved for me by lastminute.com for tomorrow night. I checked my confirmation and sure enough the tickets had been booked for the next night. I was surprised but I thought maybe I had made a mistake.

Yesterday, I went through the same routine of finding a show on their web site. However, this time I remembered the problem from the last time so I made sure I searched on 22nd February 2012 and when the shows came up I clicked on the box for 22nd February 2012 and made sure I was *definitely* booking for the right date. Imagine my howls of anguish when, after payment, confirmation of my order showed *23rd* February 2012. i.e. the same bug. This time I rang their "Customer Services" department immediately (within about two minutes). They found my order but refused to refund the money I'd spent on the tickets and said there was no possible way what I was describing could have happened and that I 'must have booked for the wrong day'.

I did not book for the wrong day. I made sure I was booking for the *right* day. I sat explaining over and over again (and listening to the agent's rehearsed spiel) and, staring at the evidence before my own eyes as I moved Back and Forward through the web pages, I then told him politely to get lost. I do not know what sort of company refuses to refund when their own software causes a problem, not less when the order was only processed a few minutes prior. I am lucky the tickets only cost £35. If it had been a holiday it could've been far worse. I think their software automatically chooses tickets for the NEXT day if the current day's tickets have sold out. Hence, I will never use them again and recommend you all steer well clear.

Beware "Secret Hotel" deals

I decided to book a hotel through lastminute.com. When I searched the hotels list i found there seemed to be a good deal to be had by booking a so called "Secret Hotel".
Its advertised as a 4 or 5* hotel offering up to 45% off. Sounds good so far doesnt it. The only thing you cant see if the hotel name so you cant research it at all before you go.
I booked one of these hotels on a room only basis, breakfast was not an option, only to find once I received my confirmation booking that I could have booked the hotel cheaper by booking direct AND I would have been given breakfast.
I made an enquiry with lastminute.com only to be told that as it was a promotional price on the hotel website they wouldnt do anything to change my booking.
Now imagine how I felt being told up to 45% off a 4 or 5* hotel and the fact you are taking a chance as you dont know the hotel you are going to and then to find I was paying more for it.
Not impressed and will NOT be using this facility again. BEWARE of this nice little scam

Stayed at the Mark Spencer Hotel in Portland. In the off season you can make them an offer. Can get some great deals at Thanksgiving , 4th Thursday in November.

BEWARE!

They cancelled my booking I made the night before of a long distance flight without calling me (I left my number). I went to the airport and there was no booking, imagine that!! The transaction was cancelled for security reasons and they took money from the card and I could not use it because there were no funds. I had to rebuy the ticket cash for 600€ at the desk. Never happened that with same card with numerous other companies in the last years. Never anymore, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!

Good range

I really liked their selection so gave them a try a few months back, not the best prices but their range of places was good and easy enough to navigate. Place I visited was much like the pictures online and I had a thoroughly good time.

BEWARE OF LAST MINUTE;

Booked a ticket on Friday to leave Monday morn, for some reason they couldn't process the payment, and because of there slow, poor communication the plane tickets sold out in the meantime!! Thought they would at least reserve the tickets, as we had several different payment options for them, they are terrible! Would not recommend to anyone! Beware, DO NOT USE!
Service people were fine, just management and systems need to replaced.

No transfers

Booked a ski holiday to France with Lastminute. It says transfers are 2 hours but I didn't realise that transfers are not incuded. Not only that but there are no transfers to the resort from any company whatsover. The only way to get there is a taxi costing £600 (more than the holiday).
I don't mind that transfers are an extra but selling a holiday that is not actually even possible to go on seems not on at all. Also, after phoning them they said they would ring back to find me transfers but didn't and I had to ring them again a week later.
I now have to book a seperate flight as this is cheaper than ammending my flight.
Avoid!!

Theatre Meal Deal

Booked a theatre trip with meal. Total disaster . Resturant could not cope. In the end left resturant withot even eating. (Talbot Victoria)

A special planned occasion completely ruined.

Spoke to Last Minute . Com . They apologised and said they would look into it. Never heard anythink back.

Will never use them again.

False advertising

After finding a hotel to my liking, I wanted to book it but had reservations over whether the right photos had been used as they didn't seem to correlate with the map (the images made it look like a beachfront hotel but the map showed a town centre location). I emailed lastminute.com several times but had absolutely no reply. After further investigation I found that the photos allocated to the hotel were from a different hotel. Whether it was a simple error or false advertising, the way it was (or should I say wasn't) handled was appalling.

A total waste of time

They used to be the place to go to if you wanted a last minute holiday.... but now they're just as, if not more expensive than a travel agent. Total waste of time. Limited hotels etc too!

For det første vil jeg klage over, at når vi bestiller på jeres hjemme side, til vores Hotel Days Hotel Inn / Broadway, står det højt og tydeligt at det er med morgen mad, men nej, ved ankomt til hotellet fik vi at vide ingen morgen mad, da vi kom på vores værelser gik vi på nettet og fandt samme hotel på jeres hjemme side hvor der står MED MORGENMAD

For det andet vil jeg klage over hotellet, aldrig har jeg boet på et så beskidt værelse, prøv at se ved hæftede billeder, som klar viser hvad jeg mener med dette, i mine øjne gange uboeligt!
Møg beskidt, skimmelsvamp på badeværelset, loftet skallede af så der lå skaller på gulvet. Hvis vi tændte for varmen, hylede radiator som en keddel der var klar, så vi måtte slukke for varmen bare for at kunne sove, med resultat mega koldt værelse om natten og vi frøs, kun et lagen og et tæppe til deling til 2 personer!

På værelset var der kun en klap stol, og et meget lille bord, værelset var bestilt til 2 personer

FANTASTIC

Have used last minute for years for all sorts of reasons, ordered tea for two at ritz as xmas gift not expecting it to arrive in time, two days later arrived in a wonderful presentation gift pack from the ritz itself. well done last minute.
