SCAM

wanted to book a night away so on valentines booked to stay at 'britannia hotel bolton', we booked at around 9pm and received our confirmation email. When arriving at the hotel (after driving 25 miles) we were told there was no booking in our name and the hotel was fully booked! When asked who we booked with we were told that this website constantly makes the same mistake of taking bookings when the hotel is already full.
So after paying £30 for a room, we wasted 50 miles of petrol too!!

ticket cancellation - refund

I bought some tickets flights from LastMinute, however, the eve of the trip had canceled one of the excerpts. Because of this I had to relocate my entire trip, and lost even paid daily hotel.
In addition to LastMinute, since novembro/2013 did not refund the canceled tickets.
We are already in fevereiro/2014 and all contacts by phone and e-mail say the credit has been done. However, this claim was never made ​​on my credit card.
Although I have already asked several times to send the proof of payment via credit card, American Express if so far not received any proof.
Look back with urgency of my repayment of what is owed!

SINVERGÜENZAS!!

Siempre he comprado en lastminute y nunca he tenido ningún problema hasta hoy. Acabo de comprar unos vuelos para dos personas a Ámsterdam más un seguro de anulación, cuando he ido a pagar me ponía claramente en GRANDE Y ROSA un total del 319€. A la hora de rellenar los datos de la visa (vuelvo a asegurarme de que el precio no a subido por elegir visa débito), le doy a pagar y...... PAGO CONFIRMADO!! UN TOTAL DE 398€!! 79€ más por "cargos administrativos"!!! Me quedo con cara de pasmarote y llamo a atención al cliente, ellos me explican que los cargos administrativos son por buscar el vuelo y reservarlo!! TOMA YA! Me quejo que el precio final que me aparecía en GRANDE Y ROSA antes de pagar no era ese y no ponía nada de 79€ más y la tipa me dice que lo pone dentro de términos y condiciones que he aceptado! No se hasta que punto es legal ya que el precio total final debería aparecer claramente y no ocultos como aparecen aquí.
La chica de att. al cliente me ofrece que la cancelación, pero para ello tengo que pagar 15€ más los 79€ de "cargos administrativos" que no lo devuelven...
Está claro, han perdido un cliente y me encargaré de difundir la manera que tienen de engañar a la gente y a clientes que confiaban en ellos!

worst customer service I have ever experienced

I have booked with numerous companies over the last couple of years, but will never ever ever use last miute again. inially although not a problematic process, the difficulty started when we had to change the date of our holiday. This was due to care arrangements for a very disabled child failing ... OK, didn't expect special treatment but didnt expect to be treated as though it was deliberate and causing a major problem, after all they were charging a darn fortune for the amendment.
The agents (one mainly)who dealt with this process made it clear that she couldn't be interested in helping us, both in her attitude and failure to communicate, in the end we settled for an alternative which we aren't really happy with, which has cost more and also cost an extortionate fee for changing. Not only did calls cost premium rate to speak to them, but I never managed to get through before holding for 21 minutes...yes that's right 21mins at premium rate. What a money maker.Further more, I sent multiple emails on the contact us/call back process....guess what ..got a
call back ONCE have booked again for this year BUT NOT WITH LAST MINUTE. Should have been Hol of lifetime for my friend who has cared for disabled child for 21 years -hope it is, despite this unpleasant experience.

An online booking agent who is only interested in stealing money without providing quality service.

Used this website for a last-minute hotel booking on 03/02/2014. Terrible website design with potential misleading choices, which helped me book a hotel on the date I don't need. AFTER the payment, its confirmation came and I noticed the error immediately, which was already too late.

So I tried to contact them, but there was no customer service after 8:00pm (Interesting for a company who claims to provide last minute choice.) So I had to contact them the next day and was told it was not able to cancel the booking and I was charged for a room I clearly informed them that I would not stay. Further, they charged quite a lot for calling them using the 0871 number.

If you do not want to have any trouble after your booking, avoid them as far as possible!

worse customer service than RyanAir - don't use this company.

So I tried to change my ticket with the Etihad, who told me only Lastminute.com could do it as I booked through them. Hours on phone - around 2.5, including 40 minutes on my UK mobile in Thailand ie very expensive. One call I was put on hold for 15 minutes, then cut off and had to start again. They told me my flight had been amended, all sorted, took payment for the change (£135 airline fee and $45 lastmintue fee), said they'd send an email confirmation… two days later no email. So I call them, again. Oh your change was never made and we've cancelled your original flight so you can't get that either and because we've not told you about this for two days, all the other flights are now sold out. We can only rebook your flight when you're due to be at work (I'm a doctor, I need to be in work on time, end of story). The supervisor, when I eventually got to speak to him, kept on saying "now I'm talking to you not as a human being" , "now I'm talking to you as an employee of lastminute.com" (literally - I said I'm not an employee, I'm a customer, but he just kept on ranting comprehensibly but completely inappropriately), "now I'm talking to you as a human being", "let me speak or I will hang up", when I asked him to get me home he replied "how?". Literally he said "how?". I said "you're a travel agent! book a flight, that's your job". He was by far the most inappropriate and awful customer service representative I have ever dealt with.
Eventually booked me back for one day later than my original flight. So I paid £180 in charges, plus around £100 in phone bills, being spoken to nonsensically by customer services reps who appeared at times completely incompetent, mucking up my leave allocation on the basis of what turned out to be false information, and all for one day extension of my holiday, which was taken up virtually entirely with the stress of phoning / waiting for calls / emails from lastminute.com. Oh and they didn't even send my final confirmation email when they said they would; when I called up once again to ask for the email I gave the name of the supervisor who I'd spoken to - "There's no one of that name working here". Seriously. Have been using Lastminute several times a year almost since they launched but never, ever again. Absolutely the worst travel agent I've ever come across in 22 years of long haul travel.

After booking a special occasion through lastminute and being ripped off from a five star hotel and the best they could come up with a £30 gift voucher and me the client to get the money back from the hotel

Lets just say there are better travel agents out there and won't be using them again

Best to book flight with the airline directly. Much cheaper

Lastminute charged me £20 for paying with a credit card.
Also to change a flight, you have to call their customer service (20min call), you cannot do it online, and they charge £45 admin fee plus a flight fare difference which vary day to day.
The first time I call them, the total change fee was £165, the next day £325, the third day £235. That day, I decided to go to the airline site directly and I was able to change my flight online in 5 min for a total of £100.
Lastminute is great to find the right flight but it is then better and cheaper to book directly with the airline.

Avoid the secret hotel

So it's my husband and his best friends birthday. His best mate chose a restaurant in Chalk Farm. I searched lastminute.com for places in Chalk Farm. The third on the list was a secret location. I purchased due to the insinuation if location. I later come to find that it is in Greenwich!!! I paid with the last bits if money I had (we have 3 boys and just wanted one night away). They have outright refused to correct their misrepresentation and our misfortune. Our whole weekend is ruined and I feel like our money has been stolen.

Avoid the "Topsecret" option!

Like many other people that have used Lastminute.com and fallen for this little scam (which is the only way that it can be described!) I was very disappointed to discover that I could have bagged a better deal if I had gone direct to the hotels own website rather than find something through these rip off merchants! Lastminute.com charge you for the room only and do not include breakfast in the price.

I later discovered that if I had gone to the hotels own website I could have paid £2 extra (so no great saving of upto 35% off to be had there either as lastminute.com declare on their website!) and had breakfast for two people included in the price of the room. As it transpires breakfast at this particular hotel is an additional £15/ head.

Most unhelpful customer service women spoke to who basically took great pleasure in explaining that refunds can not be given because of terms and conditions... Lastminute.com has lost its way, what started off as a great website has now just turned into a total bunch of con artists.... Take my advice and the advice of others on here and AVOID AVOID AVOID, you would be wiser to find a hotel on moneysupermarket.co.uk or Expedia and then contact the hotel direct for there prices and cut out the rip of middle men at lastminute.com.

UTTERLEY MISLEADING TOP SECRET HOTEL LOL TOP SECRET PRICE

I recently booked a hotel in Dublin with lastminute.com under their Top Secret Hotel deal. Promoted as one of the most exclusive hotel deals, and if other guests at the hotel knew how cheap your room was they would be soooooo jealous. It was advertised as 47% cheaper. Come on, only to discover the only person who was jealous was me, I had been ripped off. I paid £113.68 plus £2.27 credit card fee, in total £115.95. The same room on the hotel website was £109. Booking.com (whom I normally book with) was £89. Livid was not the word to use, I rang lastminute.com, they did not seem to get the point they were promoting a discount that did not exist. Hopefully I will be able to retrieve the difference by emailing lastminute.com the cheapest site details etc and they will pricematch. Will have to wait to see if they will reimburse me. I find the total dishonesty of this unbelievable. To make matters worse after I rang this deal disappeared off their website. Suspicious

Never Again! Worst customer service I have EVER experienced

Issue is still ongoing so giving them 2 starts, on account of the benefit of the doubt, hoping we'll reach some sort of a resolution in the future, plus it *is* cheap, has to be said.
In short, tried to book a trip from London to Amsterdam for 8 people flying (but 9 staying in the hotel). This unequal number of people flying and staying the hotel, as I was initially told would not be a problem at all, the lady I spoke to would call the hotel and arrange for an extra bed in one of the double rooms. Sounds good. However, as I later found out it was infinitely and really unnecessarily complicated.
The lady I spoke to first seemed really nice and like she knew what she was doing, but when I told her I will call back tomorrow, she was quite adamant we book today as the price will increase the next day. Okay, so I asked her to call back in an hour. We waited and waited but she never called back, so I called lastminute myself and spoke to a different person.
And this is when everything went wrong. In short, this person (I was convinced it was a she, but it later turned out it was a man), booked a flight ticket for the one person that did not need the flight - only because he was present at the time and was using his card to pay the additional charge for the extra bed (£34). To me, it really should start ringing bells when everyone is paying upwards of £200 and this one person - when I repeatedly said one person only needs a bed - is paying £34.
So then my friends who did not get a flight because of this person's incompetence had to book their flights separately - and one person didn't manage to get a seat on the flight. It might also be worth mentioning that two of my friends, who were not present at the time of booking and as we didn't know their dates of birth, we couldn't book the trip for them at the time, went and booked a trip - the exact same flight and hotel, through expedia and ended up paying even less.
So now I am spending my days calling and writing emails, to so far little or no effect. Every employee seems to have a different idea of how their company works and is giving me different information. It is extremely tiring and frustrating and now instead of looking forward to the trip I am left worried what else is going to go wrong when we get to the airport or the hotel. Also I am very annoyed by the emails they love to send, saying "I can certainly understand your disappointment" or "we will get back to you as soon as possible" instead of getting on with it and resolving the issue.
I would strongly discourage anyone from using lastminute.com.

A nightmare, I feel abused!

I was searching for a flight from Amsterdam to Barcellona in different companies with lastminute.com. I opened lots of different pages to see the final prices and conditions and end up buying a flight from Transavia. Anyway, when I was checking my email to see if the flight was confirmed I saw that I actually had two confirmations: the one from the Transavia flight and another one, from a Vueling flight that I've NEVER bought! They've just made a nonexistent reservation and took my money from my debit card! Then, when I tryed to contact lastminute.com, they told me they could not cancelled my reservation, since low cost companies don't accept cancellations! But, repeating, I'VE NEVER MADE THIS RESERVATION!

Super Bad Customer Service - will never use again

Rescheduled my flight, asked them to cancel it. No response for 2 days on emails and had to call 3 times. When they finally agreed to cancel, I was told it ll take 8-16 weeks for my refund to be processed. How do I book a new flight if they don't refund me in time? Asked if they can adjust my refund against a new separate booking, was told No. Extremely disappointed, regret using them to save a few quid (when they popped up on comparing websites).

Misleading Hotel Location

Recently booked a hotel based on it's location on the map. Found out just before travelling that it was actually 20mins from that central location.

I think accurate location information is a must for a hotel booking site. They did not offer alternative accommodation which makes me wonder if this was a one-off mistake or a systemic sales tactic. Either way I book at your own risk.

Poor trading standards

I used a promotional discount code to obtain a discounted hotel quote on their site. Entered my payment details and when the payment confirmation appeared, it said it had deducted the full nondiscounted amount.
I informed customer service and they say there is "there is nothing much that can be done with regards to this matter and we are obliged to abide by the Terms & Conditions".
I am disgusted that they think they can wriggle out of the discount by showing small print on the discount code, whilst presenting a discounted quote that implies the disocunt code works. Do they really think their T&Cs are above consumer rights and statuary law.

when we go on the website it is very clear and you can choose your filters of how you want to see prices which is brilliant. If you are unsure of where you waqnt to stay and click in and out the page remembers the dates you selected so you dont have to keep going back to the begining and keying in the dates and amount of people again and again

Last Minute.com has never let us down and we have used them quite a few times
