I had a problem with a prat of a provider. ( not laterooms )

We’re contacting you regarding your reservation number ********R at Leisure Inn Hotel, arrival date 29th May 2012.
Due to our fax machine failure we have not received reservation confirmation from Laterooms.com with your full credit card details and therefore we cannot confirm your reservation.
Please provide us with full credit card details to guarantee your reservation otherwise we will not be held responsible if the room gets sold out.

The long and short of it was I tried to make contact as they requested, but they didnt answer their phones, later that day they contacted me I advised them I had no choice but to book elsewhere, they advised that they were going to charge the account anyway, after I informed her that I wasnt happy and would be expressing my views she then changed her tune to say that Laterooms would, so i contacted late rooms and was very impressed with the way in which they dealt with my complaint, the lady I spoke wiht contacted the hotel directly to resolve the matter and so far I havent been charged.
Thanks Late Rooms I will be back !

website on the down.....
Ive been a laterooms.com fan for previous years and made several bookings though them up until previously due to very clear changes....
Firstly, the discounts are no longer there, before recently there was some savings to be had but nowadays laterooms only advertising the actual price of the hotel, the same you can make on the hotels website.
Your notice alot of of time it states £129, now £59...however, if u go to the hotel direct your notice the hotel is offering the same price. So late effectively is a good search engine tool but its no longer the bargain website it was.
Lastlty, and the most disappointing, you think a name like laterooms.com would mean logging on hours before you need to arrive would throw up some good deals. This is never the case, the prices only go up as availabillity slightly goes down. I never logged on and see auction prices for a hotel room
In summary, as a search laterooms is handy but no longer a discount hotel website really, and thats ashame

Generally pretty good
I haven't used late rooms so much recently, but each time I have, it's usually worked out pretty well - decent value hotels, usually for quite a bit less than standard rate.

No room for tomorrow, not a situation you want to be in
I made a reservation with laterooms.com based on previous reviews. I received a confirmation, email, etc. I only called the hotel by chance, to confirm check-in time, to find out that they have absolutely no rooms. I do not understand how can laterooms make reservations for hotels without availability, I've used Agoda, venere, kayak, orbitz, and I have never had such an issue. I guess you want a bargain, you end up paying more. I hope my credit card does not get charged, which would trigger another headache. The city was Prague, Jecna Residence.

Very bad
After going through the entire booking process, the website said an error had occurred and suggested I use the back button and try again, which I did twice, just to get the same error again.
Guess what - There hadn't been an error and now I ended up with 3 identical bookings (it took them approc 15-20 minutes to come through to my inbox) and the trouble of cancelling two of the bookings. I'm not happy at all!!!!

Does what it says on the tin
Better prices than going direct, can be a little confusing as sometimes when you get to the hotel you have already paid and sometimes not.

Website Too Slow
I've used laterooms b4 but now use other booking websites as late rooms are by far the slowest website of them all. This is no joke. also as i stay in & around manchester alot. i've found many hotels / guest houses around m/cr are missed of there search results for manchester, unless you ask for manchester center. which is confusing, as a result i now use booking.com for my bookings as there website is straight forward, easy to use and much faster. Also has more choice for the cities & towns i visit.

zero customer support - careful
We carefully booked a Thursday & Friday night & payed for the rooms.
The 'booking confirmed' page thanking us for our payment quoted Wednesday night & Thursday night, we checked our previous web pages & had booked the rooms correctly with the Thursday & Friday being the ones we wanted.
On trying to cancel the rooms & start again with the booking we were shocked to find the cancellation fee was the same as the charge for the rooms.
Thanks for nothing laterooms.com
Try to speak to customer support at laterooms.com !!!
Luckily the hotel was aware this problem happens & sorted it for us easily, we will be booking directly with the hotels in future...

BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH THESE
they took payment of £550 then when i turned up at faulty towers the owner demanded £550 BEFORE I GAVE THE KEYS.... VERY DODGY

Poor service from them
Whilst laterooms are only a reseller of hotel and guest house bedrooms, they do charge for their service in the form of commission taken from the guesthouse or hotel owners.
For the most, people will not come in to contact with their office staff, but when you do they really need some customer service training. Ignored calls, ignored emails, systems that do not work and for the guest house owner if there is a problem they really do not want to know you.
My advice - if your wanting to book a room at a cheap deal - ring the place up and offer to pay them what they are advertising on laterooms, or slightly below given Laterooms takes 15% plus 20% vat off the total price your paying the Hotel - thats a bigger discount to you and a better rate tot he Hotel

Easy to use, some great deals to be found
Have made a number of bookings through laterooms. The service is easy to use, the searches are accurate and quick.
There are some good deals to be had if you book very last minute.
Do be aware that many of the hotels listed do not reduce their rates though, and if you check out their own sites, the rates are sometimes even less there.
We just booked a fabulous hotel in Sussex, for less than half the normal rate, and were delighted.

Great for last minute bookings
Used laterooms.com several times and had a great experience every time, once you've set up an account it's quick and easy, and you have the option to review your stays with them afetr the event. Generally the hotel owners prefer cash payment (but don't they always!). Sometimes better deals can be found if you can be bothered with in depth searches, and check other reviews on different sites before booking. Very recommendable so far.

Value For Money
LateRooms really made it convenient for a friend and myself to find rooms during the last minute at such affordable prices. It is also very reliable as we had no problem with any price discrepancies during the check in. While I prefer to stay in apartments for long holidays, LateRooms would certainly be my choice if I was on a business trip or needed just a night at an airport hotel.

Late Rooms
I use Late rooms very regularly and have always found it very good. I have had no problems that Late rooms have not resolved. I have booked rooms and the hotel have double booked. In this instance late rooms found an alternative without any hassle.

Easy booking
Use the web site regularly, No real problems.
As far as I can see the only problem is the reviews, sometimes they do not relate to the hotels booked, but that is not the fault of Late rooms.

Great Company
I use laterooms frequently and find it very easy to use. I only have had one problem with my saved card details not working when requested. Other than that have had no complaints.

Great Company
I stay away about 80 nights a year and have found lateroomsa great way to book accommodation. The website is good and does what it says.
I found the account function where details are saved a bit flaky but this would be my only major complaint.
I have only ever had to speak to customer service once and found them very helpful.
I would recommend late rooms to anyone interested.

Simple to find a hotel you want
I find the search very useful, and fairly flexible. Booking is easy, mostly can be done entirely online.
The customer reviews really help to get an idea what a hotel is actually like, which in London where I mainly book, can be very variable.
Cancelling or changing a reservation isn't that simple, and I'd imagine booking directly would be slightly cheaper if you knew what you wanted and were doing so regularly. However the prices seem very fair considering the service they are providing.
I've made many bookings through them and never had a problem on arriving at the hotel, which is pretty good.
One other drawback I suppose for regular bookers, is that hotels might offer loyalty schemes but I don't think these will apply via laterooms. Laterooms do not as far as i'm aware offer any loyalty scheme.

Simple Easy to use site
Loads of relevant information, pictures and reviews.
I have booked on late rooms on over 50 occasions and never had a problem when arriving at the hotel.
The very useful storing of card details via a login system makes booking a hotel easy and I can book a hotel in about 2 minutes from start to finish.

Great customer services
It's always very simple & straight forward when we book a hotel via laterooms over the internet - if we ever have to call Laterooms for any reason, generally the Customer Service is great. Maybe some of the advisors could do with a spark of happiness and enthuiasm but that would be my only criticism.

LateRooms.com is a fabulous site that offers every hotel imaginable! The user journey is seamless and easy to use. Their customer services are excellent - and based in the UK.
The hotel details are comprehensive and the star ratings are apt.
Really good for both last minute and for hotels up to a year in advance.
Would not go anywhere else :)

I find laterooms.com a perfect way of booking rooms without paying up-front.
Having had to cancel a few rooms over 2011, I found the cancellation process as quick and smooth as the booking process - I am therefore a true 'laterooms.com convert' !!

I do like this company, but...
It's a great concept..but, a few years ago they offered really good discounts on rooms. Which is why they set up and their whole marketing campaign. Now they don't really offer any discount. I use it to search hotels in the area... I have found better discounts on other sites... It also has limited hotels and b&b's...considering i tried to register my BandB and they said I was out of their limit, even though the place down the road is on the site only 3 miles away! They should accept everyone and go back to offering discounted rooms.

Cheap and amazing VALUE
Found really cheap rooms at top end hotels... For extra savings look into their Secret Rooms with even more discount. Have used it a few times and has always been a Raddison or other 4* hotel..

Very useful site
Used this a couple of time recently. The criteria (eg parking, wifi) selected don't always corespond with the guest comments. One category totally missing is en-suite bathrooms which made searching take more work than I would have liked.
