MY FRIEND AND I STAYED 1 NIGHT ON 2ND AUG 2013 AND THAT WAS 1 NIGHT TOO LONG,WHEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM WE FOUND BLEACH STAINED TOWELS,ANTS,DUST EVERYWHERE ,THERE WAS NO ASHTRAY AND IT WAS A SMOKING ROOM WE BOOKED,STAINED BEDDING,COBWEBS.WHEN WE WENT TO VOICE OUR VIEWS WE WAS OFFERED A REFUND ,BUT WE DID NOT HAVE ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO ,SO ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT,AND WAS THEN SHOCKED AT THE REPLY WE GOT WHEN WE WAS ASKED IF WE DID THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS .AND WAS THEN TOLD WE WAS BLACK MAILING HIM.IF WE WERE DOING THIS WE THINK WE WOULD OF AT LEAST STAYED 1 NIGHT 1ST .
THEY DID OFFER US ANOTHER ROOM,BUT WE LOOKED AT ANOTHER 2 AND THEY WERE ALL THE SAME VERY POOR STANDARD .WE WILL NOT EVER STAY THERE AGAIN .THE HOLE SITE LOOKS VERY SHABBY AND UP KEEP OF THE PLACE IS NOT BEING UP KEPT BY THE LOOKS OF IT !!
Book 2 rooms on Laterooms for 2 of my friends to stay in Chester this weekend. We were happy with the rate and the Guesthouse we chose for us all and even happier when we had email confirmation from Laterooms telling us it had been booked and confirmation had been sent to us and the Guesthouse proprietor. So.... I rang on Monday afternoon to check everything was ok and the check-in time....NO BOOKING!!! The lady there confirmed that NOTHING had been sent through from Laterooms and as such she had NO rooms left. Thats one ruined weekend that had been planned for months! MYSELF AND MY FRIENDS WILL NOT BE USING LATEROOMS AGAIN! There were 12 of us due to go away... we are all extremely disappointed in this website. No one now has any faith. 12 people may be small fry to you Laterooms but people talk...
Stayed at the Lord Nelson in Liverpool and was very disappointed. The 'family' room was tiny, the shower curtain was filthy and they had no phone to contact reception. Passed my mind that this would be bad in an emergency as mobile reception was on and off. However, it was highly inconvenient when one of the lights blew in the evening and the whole lot went. We couldn't see to get ready for bed/read in bed and then had to go down to reception to ask them to sort it the following morning. Breakfast was continental -no complaints on that score but if you were thinking of booking here as opposed to somewhere cheaper as it includes breakfast-I wouldn't bother! May as well get a 'proper' breakfast elsewhere.
Unfortunately I have had a bad experience booking with laterooms this time. In total I booked 5 hotels for a weeks holiday and two hotels did not receive my payment details. This was only highlighted to me when one of them phoned me to tell me so and informed me that laterooms had refused to get in touch with me to admit an error and to ask me to phone the hotel with my details to secure the booking. I phoned laterooms, after i had secured my booking with hotel owner, to complain and when I was on the phone asked them to check my other bookings and this was when I discovered a second hotel had not received my payment details. Now had the first hotel not phoned me I would be none the wiser and could have lost two bookings which would have ruined my boyfriends and I holiday. This makes me question whether I will book with laterooms again.
Everything went smoothly ,, from the first booking action to completion ...no problems at all . I would definitely recoomend this to anyone . It made for an excellent stay at the Westmoreland Hotel, where the staff and facilities were First Class !
Just a quick note of caution when booking - dont make any errors as you cannot change these. Clicked on wrong date and was made to pay full amount for the reservation. Didnt want to cancel just put in correct date! Very inflexible system and more than useless customer support. Needless to say i wont be using late rooms again
booking this was very easy. its all online and you can also use the contact center ( the staff are friendly and helpful )
In terms of the hotel ? just go it is absolutely fantastic! the staff the location the building itself is a work of beautiful architecture and the restaurant.
we are planning to return soon.
You need to stay here if you are looking for a great place to stay, the service was excellent, clean tidy rooms, fluffy white towels, the food was second to none, we ate in the hotel on 4 occasions, attended a wedding and can honestly say that the food was delicious on each occasion, an excellent area outside to relax,shops,hairdressers,florists all within a 20 minute stroll,the staff are friendly,polite and more than helpful,
have recommended the chase hotel, and would definitely stay at here again.
My partner Lawrie suggested to me that he would rather like to visit North Yorkshire next week, possibly go to the races?, and visit some of the beautiful places there??? Where are we going to stay, I asked!!, Oh!, you can just get on that internet thingy and sort that out, so in a state of panic and 3 hours later had not found a thing, all booked out re current fine weather and the fact that there are at least 3 race meetings on in the area at that time? Searched for late rooms and got Laterooms.com., super saviours, thank you very much, easy to use web site, great location near to all that we could need and in the country, good price!
I think that booking with late rooms is ok but I found that the price they give you is not much of a saving I paid £555 for BB but their price would have been £578 so saving £23 not much of a saving not worth going through you.
Also the guest house was not very good not worth £92 a room £50 is nearer the mark I think the Hotel Inspector should visit The staff can hardly speak English and you have to explain what you want for breakfast and they still get it wrong .Not impressed
when i rang late rooms it was to try and cancel an error i made in booking the hotel, the cancellation was done quickly and effectively it was apparent when i turned up at the hotel the request for it to include breakfast was not carried out and rather spoilt the end of what had been a nice holiday
Having received booking confirmation from LATE ROOMS.COM we arrived in Split Croatia. With the sun beating down upon us we were ready to enjoy a few fun days before attending the music festival at the weekend.
But hold on the wankers at LATE ROOMS had taken a booking for a Guest house that it seems refuses to to have any dealings with them. So because we put our faith in these wankers and their supposed great deal our accommodation has doubled in price eating into our budget, so folks before trusting and booking with these people we advise you to check with the hotels etc direct to ensure the pricks at LATE ROOMS have the right to let you get exited about their great deals.
PS. I have the confirmation sent by LATE ROOMS if anyone wants to see it.
Remember check before check before you allow these PRICKS to get your hopes up.
went with booking no no record of booking had sent email to u cancelling booking which u never sent to me moved into 2 different rooms took 20 pound off bill then refunded money and moved to bb next door what rubbish service will never deal with laterooms ever again never had problem with bookings .com what are u going to do about it
Arrived for a 3 night stay for the Ironman European Championship. Told on arrival that the pool and leisure facities were closed..... I had booked this hotel 11 months ago because of its leisure facilities for my pre race planning and for my families entertainment. After much complaining I was offered the leisure facilities of another hotel several miles away !!! but told I would have to pay a taxi. Eventually the manager was called and I requested a refund on my stay and that I be booked into another hotel with the neccesary facilities. I was told this was not possible but he eventually agreed a one off paid taxi to use the pool at the other hotel.
Absolute disgrace.... Add to this the parking charge of 27 euros a night !!! I ended up paying well over 420 euros for a basic room only !!! Complete rip off and would not use this chain anywhere again
This hotel must be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in having stayed in hundreds of hotels and reviewed them all this takes the biscuit , on arrival we had to wait while the barmaid served the drinks at the bar , then when she showed us our room we were speechless television did not work an old dirty clothes rail to hang our clothes with no hangers no plug for the sink . On complaining the plug came and television worked albeit 8 ft of the ground with I would think a 14inch screen and three coat hangers , on coming home there was a party on the thumping noise from the disco was just terrible on going down to complain Elaine the manager said she would sort it if anything it got worse so very little sleep , sorry I forgot about the cables hanging from thr television not good we never stayed for breakfast we were happy to get up and go , I said to the manager about a refund and she said nothing in our opinion this hotel needs closed for 6 months so it can be refurbished. A very poor hotel and please check your bar prices as the wine for the glass is as dear as a 4star hotel.
this company seem to be a law unto themselves, l have a hotel and am constantly getting bookings whilst the hotel is full, this leads to calls from me to the guests to try and sort it out, some times l can accommodate them , many times l cant, this does not look good for the hotel and leads to ill feeling by the guest who made the booking in good faith , l have now cancelled involvement with late rooms who by the way charge a 15% booking fee.
we booked this room as our friends were taking us by boat to Bablock Hythe and back over the weekend. I was very upset to receive a phonecall from The Ferryman Inn on friday prior to leaving on saturday to tell me there was no room available.!! As all arrangements were made to meet and travel with our friends there was not a lot I could do but accept the offer, by the pub, to stay at a local farmhouse some half a mile away. I will not be using this website again.!!
This is the first time I have used lastminute.com and I was thrilled with the smooth and ease of booking my spa weekend birthday break. I cant wait to get there now and have a wonderful weekend with my partner, thanks babe for surprising me with such a specia birthday treat!
I used late rooms to find a hotel for a trip to alton towers. The service from late rooms was excellent, however I would definitely read the hotel reviews before making a booking. The only criticism I would make about late rooms is that when I was on the net to make the booking it said I could pay at hotel when I stayed, however when it actually came to it, I had to pay on making the booking which wasn't made clear until I called.
A week out from wanting to stay in Melbourne we made a booking through this website with an email confirmation. The next day the hotel called to confirm the booking only to have Late Bookings call the following day and say the hotel was now booked out and our reservation was obsolete. Confused, I called the hotel and they said there was a system glitch and their staff were ill informed when they called me. I called Late Bookings to be told they would sort it out and get back to me via email or phone call. It's now been two days and I haven't heard a word. All accommodation in Melbourne under $500 is fully booked due to sporting events and we are forced to find accommodation outside of Melbourne. I understand errors occur but am disappointed with the lack of customer service in both Late Bookings and Easy Stay Apartments in St Kilda.
Owned by the National Trust and looks like it has recently been refurbished. An old feel but with new interior. I stayed in a room in the cottages behind the hotel and it was clean and comfortable. Just a couple of miles down the road is a great village with loads of places to eat if you want somewhere else than the hotel.
Booked a hotel room in Edinburgh. Received confirmation. Then informed by hotel that overbooked. LateRooms make no effort to contact or apologise. The automated process of cancellation means that I can't speak to anyone to explain what's happened, and I have to accept a 5 pound cancellation fee. Paying five pounds for a lot of inconvenience and no product at the end seems miserable service. Very poor. Will try's and avoid this company in the future and would recommend that other do the same.
Also ver poor system for feedback - have to create an account etc - really mean and cheap behaviour
Friendly and very welcoming check in.
Smelt fresh and airy as you walk in, very clean reception area.
Great rooms, clean, comfy beds and pillows. Biscuits on the welcoming tray.
Phones in the bedroom..can ring reception if you need anything.
Staff and management very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble.
Great service always with a smile and gave advice when going out anywhere.
Steve and tom always on hand if needed...theses guys was great :-)
Great home made breakfast...lovely cook.
No evening meal but lots of places to eat.
Small well equipped Bar and pool table area.
We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
I booked for a wedding in Fintry at the Fintry Inn. The room advertised was "a small double" which turned out to be minute. There was no wardrobe or space to hang dresses and coats as the space was for short items. The price was shocking for such a tiny room which would be better as a single. Larger persons would have no chance manouvering round the room, as we had barely any space.
The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was very good. But lower the price or you are going to have more complaints.
