CHEAP PRICES BUT BAD SERVICE. ORDERED AN ORDER OF OVER £160 AND ONE BULB WAS OUT OF STOCK. ON THE WEBSITE IT SAYS "NOT IN STOCK BUT ORDER AND YOU WILL GET FREE POSTAGE". THE REST OF THE ORDER IS BEING HELD UNTIL THIS IS IN STOCK (TWO WEEKS TIME) AND WONT SPLIT THE ORDER. THEY WANT YOU TO PAY POSTAGE AGAIN TO SPLIT THE ORDER. WHAT IS FREE ABOUT THAT. ALSO REVIEWS ARE NOT CURRENT ON THE SITE AS EVERY REVIEW HERE IS BAD.
Ordered LED striplighting from this company, one unit arrived with faulty connector. Ledhut said send back the whole pack. Bearing in mind that this is a self-adhesive striplight for under shelving applications - I advised that I wasn't prepared to strip out the light due to possible damage to the shelf. I requested replacement of the connector less than £1.00 in value, they refused and asked me to purchase another pack and send back the parts I didn't need. [name] is probably the most unhelpful CUSTOMER SERVICES person I have ever come across. In the end I have reported the whole transaction to my Credit Card Company under distance selling regulations. Just avoid them at all costs.
I ordered 11 downlights, 7 were damaged and looked like factory seconds. Led Hut confirmed that they would have 7 more sent out and quality checked. On receiving the new 7, 4 of them were damaged. So much for [name] the customer service supervisor quality checking them. In the end I sent them all back for a refund. I was asked to post them special delivery, which I did, at a cost of over £25. Led hut said they would refund this amount. Led hut refunded the cost of the lights, but not the postage. They told me it was my fault sending them back special delivery, even though [name] from Led Hut specifically told me to do so. So basically, i am out of pocket and very inconvenienced. Worst service I have experienced with an online company, they just don't care.
Guarantees are worthless. Faulty products returned for refund are waiting over a month to be tested before even considering a refund. Emails are answered promising fast attention, then nothing happens and no further communications received. Very unhappy with the customer service. There are many alternative suppliers, so I would advise trying a different company.
I carefully researched which LED flood light I needed to buy. I placed the order with LED Hut and promptly received confirmation of the order. I checked the details and emailed within a couple of hours to advise the discount code MVCLED25 had not been applied. I had only received a 5% discount, not the 25% I was expecting.
I received a prompt reply to my email, advising that there was nothing which could be done (I thought a credit of the difference wouldn't have been too difficult). Frustratingly, LED Hut would rather I incur the cost of them sending me the goods (£2.99), the cost of returning them and then re-order and this time hopefully receive the 25% discount (and an additional carriage charge of £2.99).
Despite having a need for another 4 lights if the first one had lived up to expectations, I now expect I'll be returning the light and not ordering any more.
A real shame, as I thought the product looked good on the website.
A quick word from Holland. I ordered for about € 1.000,– on equipment at Led Hut. Including some big floodlights for the garden. These floodlights come with a sensor. The sensors are nog fixed in a proper way. They are to short. I called and e-mailed Led Hut. I e-mailed them about 8 (!) times. No reaction what so ever. I filed a complained at Ekomi. They asked the order details. I gave them everything. You may guess only one time; no further reaction. In the mean time one of the “colored floodlights (without a sensor) didn’t work anymore after about 12 weeks. Conclusion; the products of Led Hut are absolutely rubbish! There is no possibility to give your opinion on their site nor on the Ekomi site. Conclusion; the details about customer satisfaction on the site of Led Hut can’t be true. Finally, if you buy something at Led Hut that will be the end of the story. They will not respond anymore. As I understand from “Jontank” Led Hut send “somebody” to track him down. I’m looking forward to him!
I had noting but problems with this company. I was unable to leave a review on the system they use which is called ekomi. They send the wrong goods and this was after waiting 3 weeks as they were out of stock.
Was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews on this site, so only ordered 4x LED GU10 bulbs, goods were despatched promptly and received next day. Decided to take the plunge and replaced all of my bulbs in my house (total of ~40 bulbs due to spotlights) - again all goods received promptly. Had a problem with one of the screw bulbs (casing came away from bulb in transit), quick call to customer services, and within 10 minutes had despatched a FOC replacement and asked if I could post the broken item back and they would refund my card for the cost of postage (which they did within 3 days)
Have since placed an order for dimmer switches as have been so impressed with their service (and taken advantage of a discount code of 15% and also 10% Quidco)
P.S. Quidco cashback payment speed is one of the fastest around - have received cleared funds within 2 weeks of each of my orders (as a Quidco premium member)
Ordered two 40W flood lights, neither of which worked. Advised to return these at my expense (£21 for an 11kg parcel I had to lug to PO myself!). Result was that one was faulty (go figure!) and replacements would be sent out. Received two replacement 20W lights instead and was told that I had to return them (again at my own expense). Was told they were unable to arrange for courier pickup from my address, despite their mistake! Asked to speak to a manager as I hadn't received refund for first postage at that stage and told that he/she was 'busy'. Have asked repeatedly for a manager to contact me at no avail. I am sure this could be sorted out to everyone's satisfaction with a courteous phone call from someone who is in a position to make a decision on the company's behalf! Have decided to keep 20W lights in case I don't get any further with this and have requested a refund of the difference in price (approx £60 to my reckoning), in addition to the original postage. So far have received £12 refund for God knows what! In the current economic climate, there is no substitute for first class customer service and this will inevitably be their demise - in the meantime, don't waste your time, or money!
Not surprised to see other reviews of similar nature - didn't take long to find!
,i have ordered only 4 mr16 led lamps at a cost of £35,cutting a long story short 2 did not work,i have tried to get replacements or refund,customer service does not exist,loads of e mails calls to no avail,i have spent £6 returning items getting nowhere.At this moment in time i feel so upset with it all,i am a time served electrician of 45 years and they suggested that my transformer was faulty not the lamps,so anyone considering using this firm seriously think twice,and if anyone in authority in this company reads this please feel free to contact me.
Their Courier said they had left the goods in our porch, which we don't have, then blankly refused to deliver to our address after I complained. Now LEDhut are refusing to refund until they get the items back, which I've never had and are still with their courier!
Update: Six weeks after order and still refusing to refund even though they never delivered anything - Don't touch
I paid for my goods and received an email confirming dispatch. 2 days later I had a phone call to say goods were out of stock and I agreed to wait. I received another email confirming goods being dispatched but they still never arrived.
I waited 3 weeks for my goods even though the website promotes 24hr dispatch. Watt a waste of time! Ended up requesting a refund
