I raised my order on 1st May and paid immediately with Paypal and waited until 13th May to call and ask where my item was. The order hadn't processed although funnily enough the payment had. 3 more emails failed to elicit a despatch date from either Gemma, Kiran or Lucman although Lucman tells me they 'may' have stock issues and cannot advise a despatch date until he knows for sure - maybe today or tomorrow. So I have now raised a dispute with paypal. This company is awful, really poor to sell items they don't have in stock - pay attention to the other reviews on here and steer clear. I wish I'd checked here first. I will now have to buy elsewhere and await a refund from Linens Ltd as I needed my items this weekend and 3 weeks advance order should have been plenty of time if only I'd been dealing with a professional retailer.
Made 3 separate orders of curtain rings from them via Amazon. First one arrived fine, a bit slow considering, but fine. Other 2 shipments were actually wrong item, brackets. Contacted them via Amazon, no response so called several times with no answer, eventually spoke to the most condescending person I have ever spoken to in my life who informed me I would need to send a picture of the goods they sent me as the barcode on the product didn't show in their system. I have never ever been asked to do this before by a company who sent me the wrong goods. No word of when they would send me the correct product, was told the incorrect one needed to be identified first. Now they are saying they haven't received the picture I sent (despite sending several times via different methods) one person told me they couldn't help as I was dealing with someone else but in actuality I am not being helped by anyone and the only communication channel I am able to get any response from is via Amazon. Feel as if they are actually playing a joke on me, trying to wind me up by delaying the process and making this the absolute worst online ordering experience I have ever encountered. Having read the reviews here, I guess it's no joke. Have now requested a refund and will take the advice below about using the UK's distance selling regulations to get my refund. Have wasted literally hours trying to get the right product, curtain rings for God's sake, and have never been so angry or annoyed before. Don't ever order from them!!!!
Having ordered my item from this company I tried to ring regarding due delivery date - I got no answer and no message service available, tried several times during the day. I then stumbled across this review site and panicked!
I sent a polite email and waited. 2 days later the company replied by email apologising for telephone problems and said they would chase my delivery. Email was sent confirming despatch and sure enough goods arrived within 3 days. Overall they told me 3-5 working days delivery time and it was 9 days in total - which having read some reviews I felt was really good.
Placed an order with this company and paid via paypal. After a week I had not received item and had no emails or contact from the company. I attempted to telephone on several occasions but it was just a recorded message with no option to leave message or to actually talk to anyone. Emailed this company with no response. I then opened a case through paypal asking for a refund, as at this point I was not happy to wait any longer. Linenslimited then emailed me 3 days after I raised a refund through paypal saying they had already dispatched the item that morning and were unable to cancel this. I could refused to accept the delivery if I wanted. I emailed back asking for more information and for someone to contact me but no response. After a few more days I contacted Paypal again and escalated the claim. I feel very lucky that I paid through paypal as I do not believe I would of received a refund if I hadn't. Another company operating on the internet who do not comply with distance selling regulations.
Where do I start. They advertise items they don't stock and seem to order in from third party suppliers. They trade on eBay and amazon too and have shocking reviews on both. The goods they sell are shoddy but they claim they are all new which I find hard to believe. The courier they use admittedly is not the best but they blame them when they haven't even sent out the item. If you have any problems with your goods please be prepared for a long wait for correction or refund and be prepared to argue until you are blue in the face. They also seem to lie to customers at every opportunity to cover themselves. Please please do not buy from these people. I was a very very unhappy shopper.
I ordered duvets, covers and pillows from this Company via Amazon. The pillows were not in the parcel so I tried ringing them. Each time I phoned the answer machine cut in, I tried over and over again but no reply. I looked on their website and found an email address, so I emailed them, still no reply. It was only after contacting them via Amazon that they eventually sent an email saying they had sent the pillows with the other stuff - NO THEY HAD NOT, and so they would have to investigate via their despatch department and carrier. What a load of rubbish that is, the cost of pillows is under £9. The goods were okay as you get what you pay for, but there is no Customer Service whatsoever and are the worst company I have ever come across. It is not worth the hassle of dealing with them.
The products and website presents professionally but it's been a terrible experience start to finish. Communication is non-existent and very unhelpful. My parcel (containing 6 items) was never delivered and is apparently in the process of being sent back to them in error by Hermes (who mind you seem ridiculously slow with their deliveries). I've tried calling and the phone has a message like I've called after hours (when I haven't) and hangs up. Email correspondence is brief and when you finally receive an email and reply you get no answers. 9 days after I placed the order I've now been told to call back tomorrow (even though the phone doesn't get answered!). I've requested a full refund. Hopefully that comes through without a delay. I'm only grateful having read all these other reviews that I never received the goods. Does not sound "luxury" as they claim on their site. Save yourself the trouble and buy elsewhere.
Purchased curtain track via ebay and waited for 2-3 days delivery. 10 days later they issued me with a UPS tracking number for an item they created a label for but never had any intention of despatching. They then said they had never had the item in stock as they had previously said and would not have it again for well over a month. They said they would refund but haven't done so yet and I quite reasonably requested £10 compensation for their bad customer service. They stated they do not compensate customers ever. I checked there own web site the same day and there is my item in stock and available for immediate delivery. Now I am complaining through ebay, trading standards and Swish who distribute the item. What troubles me is that it appears that Ebay, Amazon, etc. don't really care for their customers either as long as they take their cut. I'm afraid there will be no tears from me if deservadly LL finally go down except for their poor creditors. Really they get no stars whatsoever from me.
Very much in agreement with all the other reviews - we were fooled by the clearly inflated Amazon feedback. We ordered a blind which arrived damaged 6 weeks ago, which we still have in our possession and have not received a refund for despite countless attempts to have the item collected, as well as proving the damage via photographic evidence. I would not run the risk of doing business with company as it appears their poor customer service has affected a lot of people mainly stemming around their returns policy.
Don't be tempted by the low prices. They didn't deliver my order. I emailed 2 weeks later and they said their delivery company had tried to deliver three times (absolute rubbish, no note left even a single time) and I could pay an additional £1.95 for re-delivery! You have got to be joking. I told them there was no evidence of even a single attempt to deliver. They offered to refund but then had the cheek to refund the duvet via amazon minus the delivery charge! Absolute joke. Out to rip you off. Avoid.
I orderd a new towel set for my mum moving in to her new house. I selected the next day delivery so they would arrive for her moving in as she didnt have any. Nearly two weeks later still no delivery! I called two days later (Thursday) and was told they would re-fund the extra i paid for next day delivery and would send them out straight away, nothing arrived to i called again on the Monday to be told they would look in to it and call me back that day. No phone call, so i called again on Tuesday, was told the same thing, yet again no call back. Sent two emails which were not responded to and tried calling all day Wed, Thurs and Fri but the phone just went to a message where you cant leave a message and told to call back!! Today i have called them again and finally someone answered the phone, ive been told the same thing again, they will look in to it and call me back!! Do not buy from this company!!
Ordered some bed linen. After around 6 days nothing, got in touch by e mail and wanted to cancel order. But just like the other reviewers - it had apparently just left the warehouse. (how convenient) Waited another week and I was told to refuse delivery and send it back via hermes. Hermes arrived with it eventually. He didnt know what to do and put it back on van. Next day i was out it was re-delivered to neighbours. Had to pay over £10 to send it back as neither linens limited or hermes wanted to pay. Must have sent about 15 e mails but got fobbed off or they didnt reply for days.
Waited for refund which never came. Luckily paid with paypal so they eventually got me a refund but lost out on postage.
If you ring them 9 out of 10 times you get answer machine without option to leave message. USELESS COMPANY. WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I PLACED AN ORDER. I URGE YOU NOT TO USE UNLESS YOU LIKE BANGING YOUR HEAD AGAINST A BRICK WALL.
We ordered over a week ago curtains and a curtain pole from Linens Ltd with a 24hrs to 6 day delivery. First the website did not work propperly so we could not pay for our order with our debitcard. Luckely (I thought wrongly.....) they also had a PayPal option. So we paid and waited, and waited. The order was still "pending" 6 days after the payment was taken from our account. Phoned today and was "helped" (figure of speach) by a girl that was programmed to say "I'm sorry but I cannot do anything for you". She managed to find the PayPal payment (aparently they do not monitor that accout as it was not linked to the order), so why give that option? But still we had to wait another 5 days for it to be delivered. "Sorry we cannot speed that up, that's not the way we work". Customer service??? Not in my books. Needless to say we will NOT use them again and canceled the order.
I ordered 2 x Duvet covers Saturday at 15:50hrs, received an email from Linens at 17:26hrs 'thanking me' for the order. The following day (Sunday) 15:52hrs, I cancelled via Amazon - LESS than 24hrs, and a week-end after raising the order. I THEN received an email from Linens at 21:12hrs - OVER 5 HOURS after I cancelled advising order been dispatched!! Contacting Amazon, who in turn contacted Linens, they **said** they never received the email.... Yeah ... right ...
I would like to award them NO stars, very disreputable outfit, WISH I'd read these reviews first. The covers arrived the next day, Monday.
Linens Limited .... Don't communicate. Don't deliver (but they're using Yodel so no surprises there). Refuse to give refunds. Management hides behind poor customer service girls who are only empowered to answer the phone and nothing else. Do not deal with this company - it will be another retail failure soon. But if you have already.....
Use the Distance Selling Regs. Request cancellation of contracts. And if all else fails, you can potentially report these thieves to your bank as conducting fraudulent transactions and request repayment from your card provider. They can then recover the money themselves from Linens Limited - and will have a lot more power than you or I. Also report them to Trading Standards who need to be aware that companies like this exist. You can get information on them from Companies House - if you need to, file a CCJ against them - it's easier and cheaper than it sounds.
BTW, use your judgement and a hefty pinch of salt when reading the more positive reviews :-)

Please do not buy anything from this company. It delivers inferior goods and then when you try and rectify the problem you find out they have no customer service what so ever.
Brought 2 curtain rails via Amazon.
They arrived, but 4 of the 48 eyelets were damaged, so mailed Linens ltd explaining this. Received a curt reply basically saying i dont believe you, show me the evidence. I Sent them a mail explaining that i don,t have a phone with a camera, and if you want to come and inspect, your more than willing. Again got a message back saying, show me.
To save endless mails ect, i went to B&Q and brought a pack.
They have no customer care, just people who think we are all after something for free, please don,t use.
I have also mailed Amazon to ask they promote a very poor company.
Apart from the unacceptably poor quality duvet covers I was sent, as I required a matching pair and one cover had split and frayed seams after numerous emails trying to fob me off, they eventually agreed to refund on one cover only. I explained that they were a matching pair and one was no good, they just kept bombarding me with "template" emails repeating it was irrelevant and they wouldn't take the 2nd one back. When I eventually asked them to forward my complaint to their MD, I had another email stating they couldn't forward complaint emails I would have to write a letter!! They are a disgrace and I wouldn't want their cheap shoddy products as a gift. I am giving the awful duvet covers to the charity shop! What happened to the customer is always right? DONT DEAL WITH THEM.
I paid for my item from Linen's Limited on 21st December. I even paid the very expensive Express Delivery (more than the cost of the item!) for an estimated delivery date of 21st-24th December. I am writing this on 11th January having still not received my item! The Linens Limited customer service staff could only fob me off with countless emails containing stock responses saying they had raised the issue with their couriers. No item every arrived, no compensation for the delay, no sincerity in their apologies, no interest in their customers, level of service or reputation, clearly. A complete disgrace.
No information followed by incorrect information plus an answer phone during business hours which doesn't allow messages and cuts the caller off. I wish I hadn't used this company and I still don't know where my order is as the tracking numbers I was given don't exist and guess what? On trying to call, I am getting that answerphone again.
Back in June 2011 I purchased (via Amazon) :
Egyptian cotton 400 thread count sheet.
7.5 tog polycotton duvet.
Egytian cotton 200 thread count duvet cover.
I was (and still am) so impressed with the quality of these items that I later bought further bedding and also 600gsm towelling.
All of these products are the best that I have ever used in nearly 60 years of life.
I have not had any need to report any problems and do not anticipate such an action being necessary.
Sent me the wrong item, then H.Ward, lied to me via email, telling me it was the correct item.
Phoned up to sort out, was informed that if I agree to give good feedback on Amazon, then they would sort out the issue. yes totally gobsmacked by that. what world do they live in.
Eventually got a partial refund of the money I spent, still owe me £4.40,
S. Andrew, (sales manager) tried to "word play" my email, to make me out as the bad guy.
Bad points:
Impossible company to deal with.
They will LIE to you on the phone, and Email
Merchandise is sub standard Low Quality.
Reported to Companies House
Reported to Amazon
Reported to Department for Business, Innovation and Skills
Don't Use
Because of this experience, I will proactively give my experience and opinion everywhere on the internet I can

I bought a duvet and six months after purchase, the filling was coming out of one side of one of the 2 duvets I bought.
Linens Limited said I should have returned it within 30 days, even though I pointed out that the problem has only just appeared.
But, since their returns policy is '30 days', there's nothing they can do, they said!!!
I mentioned Sale of Goods Acts etc etc but they were stubborn, albeit polite.
So, after they didn't reply to an official letter, I took them to Court for a refund which they paid - without so much as a Sorry
Needless to say, I will not be buying from Linens Limited again.
FYI The government's Online Claim Service was brilliant and they automatically added the Court Fee [£25 in my case] to the claim, which Linens Limited paid in full and on time https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk

Total crap! Pillowcases and duvet cover have pleats on them. The pleats have come undone and so has the side of one of the pillow cases. The set has been washed twice and is covered in bobbles. Their courier was extremely rude. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

ordered complete bed linen set including curtains in good faith and qualified for free postage. Was very disappointed with pillow shams and curtains. Had to call them for returns number just to be told in a very disinterested tone to use my invoice number. Paid an extortionate amount to return goods to them. Received refund minus postage as apparently as the kept goods would not have qualified for free postage I now had to pay £4.95. They don't respond to emails. Won't be recommending or using them again.

I bought a double bed duvet set, Egyptian cotton sheet and a pair of pillows and found this to be a seamless and enjoyable process, super quick delivery time (within 24 hour) and first class products....making all my friends green with envy ....tss....tss.
Ordered a duvet online recently (In stock), 31 hours later order is still pending (supposedly next day delivery?...i paid extra, no tracking facility either)
I ring to ask if it will be sent out that day & "oh there's still time" i'm told.
55 hours after ordering I ring to cancel, amazingly it's "just being packed" so you can't cancel....WRONG!!!, check your terms of sale, it was another 6 hours before you emailed me to say it was shipped and this then constitutes a binding contract, anything before is cancellable.
Item finally received 75 hours after ordering, it was in stock and i paid extra for next day delivery......just don't expect it to be the day after you order, i'm not the only person to have experienced slow service...I won't be buying from them again.
Bought a range of items from Linens Limited, a duvet set, pillowcases, fitted sheets, bedspread and curtains, even treated myself to a new set of towels. The towels had a luxury soft feel and the bed linen was first class. I will be back for more. next l will be back to finish my children rooms. Very pleased with the service. Thank you.

(Sarah Andrews) is very unprofessional it is a very bizzare and disgusting company. I have reported them to trading standards and I think we should let BBC watch dog know also.
I am waiting for my refund too and if I don't I will be taking them to court and I will go as far as the newspapers just to prove the point that they are parasites.

My experience of this company so far is totally appalling and I am still waiting for my order to arrive. Their customer service is an absolute disgrace. I made 3 enquiries about where my order was and was told each time "they would "get back to me". They never bothered. I tried to speak to the Customer Service Manager (Sarah Andrew) but calls to her are blocked. I am appalled to read these other reviews and wish I had checked out this horrendous company beforehand. I am still waiting for my order to be despatched. They don't deserve a rating at all.

POOR QUALITY!! Micro fibre king size fitted sheet and pillowcases so thin I can read a newspaper through them, King size sheet won't even fit spare room double size bed. I will not be buying fom this company again. Having read negative customer reveiws shan't return them, have used them in my dogs' bed, even he looked dissapointed.
see Anne Cummins' review, and several others, including mine. A very uncooperative after sale service..

This is the second order I have had from linenslimited. The first one I ordered through amazon and it came within 2 days, this order has taken just over a week. Both orders were egyptian cotton towels for myself and my daughter and we think they are great quality for £14
delivery good. Ordered 2 sets of flanelette sheets 14th Sept. Did not put on bed till November. Sheets bobbled before 1st wash and shrunk every subsequent wash. got in touch with firm december and told no guarantee on sheets. I wrote quoting sale of good act posted 23rd Dec. No reply so emailed customer services Jan attaching my original letter and had email back saying forwarded to complaints but again no reply. have contacted trading standards today. I have had sheets from this firm before and had no problems with them but I will never shop with them again. Beware!

Bought egyptian cotton sheet and pillow case sets. Delivery wasn't especially quick (took about a week to arrive) but to be fair my order was correct and the linen was of a good quality and at a very good price.

I have had their Percal Striped 200 thread count sheets on my bed for 17 days ONLY and they have aleady "bobbled", I have complianed and they said s I am outside their 30 day window, (I brought a few different sets, so how could I use them all in one go) theres nothing they can do and they haven't had a problem before with them so doubt what I'm saying, their customer service SUCKS!!!!!!!

I have had a similar experience to Jacqueline. Misleading emails, contradictory emails, no replies, rudeness on the phone implying that I was at fault, refusal to give the name or address of a manager, etc. It is two weeks since my order (all items were marked In stock on website) and I have received only one out of four items, a sheet which I had previously been told was the one item they were awaiting. Throughout this period all the items in my order are shown as in stock - delivery 1-2 days or next day. Customer service shrugged and said they didn't deal with the website. I don't care how good the product may be if and when I finally receive it, I would never use the company again.

Paid for next day delivery but received it on a standard delivery service. This was in October and I am still chasing about a refund!
The products I ordered are great though and really excellent value for money (especially as I saw the pillows I bough for £20.00 being sold for £49.99 at a leading high-street bedding shop)!
