I really like the software. I have been selling online for over 5 years and Linnworks is my favorite Management Software i have found. I started years ago using just Spread Sheets to keep up with inventory. I have used 3 other Inventory Management Programs and Linnworks has the most features. I can defiantly say Linnworks Dropship features has allowed me to expand my online sales in just 1 month after moving to Linnworks. There is a lot of configurations and settings that i am still tiring to figure out though. Have a good IT staff to help you with the configurations. Over all this Software is great!
Our customers love us for several reasons, but the main reason is our service. How do we achieve amazing service? Easy, process the order on-time and have it delivered using the right courier. Sounds simple right? It wouldn't be if it wasn't for the power of Linnworks. By far the best software out there to carry the burden of order processing and stock management. Linnworks is the heart of our business!
Linnworks team we salute you...please continue to build Linnworks to be even more powerful.
We chose Linnworks after looking at other options out there and decided it provided the best balance of functionality and price. The system is quite straight forward to setup and the online documentation and videos are extremely useful. We've only used the online ticket system for support once but found that to be good also with a very good response time and knowledgeable answer.
I have watch linnworks develop from something that was "good enough" for the task required and with one or two person in support, to a mature piece of software with a full back up of support staff and developmental staff. It is going to be here tomorrow and the day after the year after that and that matters big time in a rapidly developing ecommerce world where picking the wrong horse can be very costly indeed
If selling on ebay or Amazon it improves the entire process and experience from a sellers point of view and allows a level of professionalism that would not be possible otherwise.
As with any piece of software it takes time to set up and get the best out of it but if you are intending to be around in the ecommerce game at anything higher than a basic level then you will be getting that time back in droves as well as enjoying all the other benefits that Linnworks brings
Saved us a LOAD of time!
Syncs to Magento Easily
Saved us Money by not having to employ someone to re-enter invoices e.t.c
Links our Stock easily
even prints and dispatches our ebay orders without going into ebay! Amazing!
I've used linnworks to manage an eBay and Bigcommerce store. Support has been quick to respond to any issues. 5*s because it's the best solution out there, but its UI takes a while to learn.
I have been using linnworks in my business for 3 months now and it has transformed my business. It has automated tasks that used to take up hours of my working day. It is scalable and it's functionality is helping drive my business forwards making my sales targets more achievable. If you are serious about growing your business I'd highly recommend it!
Linnworks is software that keeps your listings up to date with your inventory. It does this over multiple selling channels like Amazon, eBay, your own website and others.
Before linnworks, keeping websites synchronized involved a lot of down and uploading of CSV files. Linnworks does it all automatically. It works and it works well. It also has a very nice listing tool for eBay and Amazon which saves a lot of time and replaces turbolister (which is a very annoying program if you have a lot of listings.) It takes some time to get used to and some serious studying but it is well worth the effort. Besides the website has a lot of explanatory videos.
Another great fact is their clear pricing, no surpirces and affordable and they have a free trail period.
LinnWorks & LinnLive are the best investment i have made to date... not only can you link the software to Amazon E bay and various other connections but you can also setup a Sync to a CSV to update your products and assess stock levels etc. You can also view orders and print labels if required.... There is not much else you would need if you are cross connecting stores over the internet...
Linnworks has absolutely been a God send in many ways. First, it's nearly impossible to find a good, AFFORDABLE inventory-management system that handles both Amazon and Ebay, along with a ton of other platforms. Let's face it, Amazon and Ebay are the two biggest platforms most sellers will be using, and most programs only do one or the other unless you are independently wealthy (Channel Adviser - ACK).
The program was the easiest one I tested in terms of learning how the system works. The online documentation was good enough to help me with areas I didn't understand, which is good because support is one of the areas that could use improvement. Since we are U.S. sellers and Linnworks is based in the U.K., it can be well over 24 hours before you receive a response, and they only allow one support question to be opened at one time, so if you have to keep going back and forth with responses but have other technical questions, it may be two weeks before you get the full answer you need to be able to move on to another. I just tend to try to stick to the online documentation or hope someone in the forums answers (that doesn't happen to regularly either).
I did find the shipping portion of the program to be cumbersome and lacking some of the features I desired, not to mention a bit slow, so I mark everything as shipped and use another program entirely for that purpose. The other program I use offers the ability to set automation rules and filters: for example, items that are purchased together frequently can be set to automatically adjust to a particular weight and change the shipping method, etc. Linnworks said they could create those rules for me, but they wanted $50 an hour to do it, so I just continue to use the other program.
Inventory management is where the program really shines. eBay items are automatically relisted, which is a huge time saver, as are Amazon items when they come back into stock. With multichannel integration, I never have to worry that I will oversell. If an item sells on Amazon, the quantity is automatically depleted on eBay and vice versa. With the ability to set auto synchronization every 10 minutes, coverage for sales is very good. I've only had one or two instances of something overselling within that window, which were items with very low stock and very high sell rates.
The program has many other features that I have yet to delve into fully, and I use the basic $65 per month version which removes some of the specialized reports you can access. $65 per month for automated inventory management is steal all by itself. I highly recommend trying out Linnworks.
EASY TO USE AND GET TO UNDERSTAND, LINNWORKS HAS ALLOWED US TO LIST OUR PRODUCTS . CONTROL OUR STOCK AND DESPATCH ORDERS RECEIVED.
WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE WANTING TO SELL ONLINE TO MAKE LINNWORKS THEIR SOFTWARE CHOICE.
DON'T HESITATE TO DOWNLOAD LINWORKS NOW!
We have used Linnworks for a number of years, and without it we could not have expanded our business. Processes that would take hours, such as stock control, invoices and labels are handled in minutes, leaving more time for developing our selling platforms and therefore earning potential.
Its a great piece of software and is fully recommended buy us.
I tried many software like channelgrabber etc. but haven't seen anything as comprehensive as Linnworks. It works out of the box. There is no software in the market all follwoing features altogether.
1- Comes with all modules ready to use no need to pay for Third party modules.
2- It can manage multiple market places under one account.
3- It allows you to create composite products and bundles without causing inventory headaches.
4- It allows you to use barcode scanners,
5- It allows you to create different type of templates for address, shipping list etc.
6- Very affordable monthly price.
With most web based software out there you will be working to adapt your business to that software. But with Linnworks it is other way round. It adapts itself to your business.
If you are looking for an online auutomation then LinnWorks is the place for you. It is very user friendly.
Regarding Support, I don't remeber when response time was more the few hours. A very friendly support.
Am so glad I found this after using a rival service which was not comprehensive. This has so many features, and we are yet to utilise the full power of the software. Easy to use for the basic needs, and able to synchronise your stock across multiple platforms.
We stated off with all sorts of worries and struggles from other companies and then came across Linnworks. We could tell just from the videos that this was the tool we needed to succeed online, and boy have we!
With it's help we now have our Shopify account, Amazon, and Ebay! All linked together and talking to each other like a happ family. That being said, like a family, Linnworks does take some getting used to and it does have its struggles. But with the help of their customer support and step by step guide, which you could call the family conucelling, everything works out perfectly!
Linnworks come first in our company and it has blessed us greatly! Never in a million years would we leave and swap to another company, EVER!
I found the product difficult to set up initially. The guides seemed to be written from a technical perspective rather than a "never seen this before" one. I would have liked to have seen a very basic "If you use Ebay & Amazon then click here" type of thing - preferably in a pdf rather than video. That said, the technical support provided by email was very helpful & it was eventually sorted. It's allowed us to grow our business & feel in control over stock levels & printing invoices etc. The template designer for the invoices in particular was very intuitive & easy to use.
I became involved in a family business that didn't start off that way. It was just a favor to set up a website for my brother who was selling a dozen or so items online. He was selling on eBay. But wanted to sell on a website directly. They my Dad, semi-retired brick and mortar retailer got involved and suggested that I go into a partnership. I built a Zen-Cart store. Then Dad insisted that we needed to list items on Amazon. LOL! One set of inventory, bootstrapped by two brothers and a dad, three selling channels, from two locations, and the three of us constantly arguing each with a completely different idea on how to manage the insanity. It's been insane.
We are really a two-person company, with Dad being a hands-off advisor. Many of you reading this review must know how much chaos we have had. over 300 items, no decent inventory system, manually listing things in three places and adjusting inventory levels only when we run out of items. STRESS! ANXIETY!
I'm running LinnWorks and learning the ropes so that I can train the other two. As I learn each of the new features, I feel a wave of hope washing over me. The idea that we can maintain inventory in two places, know at a glance what our stock levels are, to have intelligent re-ordering with LinnWorks suggesting how much to reorder based on how fast items are moving. Wow. No more Dad yelling, "Why the hell did you order 12 of those! You only sold 6 of them in the last 12 months!"
To be able to list in all three channels with LinnLive2 is going to save us so much time too.
The idea that we can run reports to show our profits and have them be accurate while taking into account actual stock value and not ever having to walk around the stock room with a clipboard to see what we need to reorder from vendors is going to be a godsend.
As you can tell from my writing, I'm in the midst of setting up LinnWorks, We are not completely live at this point. But I hope in Jan 2013 that we can go live and that's well see profits increase because we'll be able to get more things listed in less time, and won't be running out of stock on items like we currently do.
Are there any cons I'd like to talk about. Well, yes. It's got a bit of a learning curve. There is a lot of functionality in here, and it will help you to read the documentation online, and to be part of the forums if you want to understand how some of the quirkier functions work. Thankfully the forum has some good answers to common problems.
Getting existing UPS and FedEx accounts linked in seems like more work than it should be. I'm not sure why each installation of LinnWorks requires the customer to get certified with them. Shouldn't LinnWorks get a single certifcation with their apps so that we can just punch in our API keys, usernames, passwords and be instantly integrated with UPS/FedEx because LinnWorks is already recognized as having passed certification? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure. Thankfully, it's a one-time setup
But overall, I think that the learning curve and hoops that you have to jump through with setting this up are going to be worth it. We're looking forward to a smoother running business, much less stress and more time to focus on the other important parts of growing the business.
Linnworks is an ideal solution for sellers big and small.
The features and versatility of the product is outstanding.
I have not found better solution for mulitchannel sellers at the price - excellent value for money.
Very little knowledge needed to set up and use , and achieve a high level of professional service for your customers.
Started using LinnWorks a year ago, looking back sort of surprised how much changes and new features have been brought out. I Like Linnworks as a program, it does have a steep learning curve to it; well worth it though due to how customizable and responsive the program is. The only negatives I can think of is the bugs that usually pop up due to all these new features. The bugs usually set back your plans for those new features, which gets frustrating. However, I have noticed that developers tend to fix these bugs within a week or two. And most of my bug issues/questions usually get resolved within a business day.
Overall, I'm glad I chose to use Linnworks compared to its competitors just due to all the features and customization Linnworks gives you. Just wanted to mention my favorite feature is the listing platform LinnLive, easily the best feature for accelerated listing and listing editing; you can literally change 500+ listings almost instantaneously.
Running an online retail business is a perfect opportunity to roll out the 'spinning plates' analogy. Linnworks helped me reduce spinning countless plates to one nice, sturdy piece of non-rotating crockery. It's 'all in one' approach to managing online sales from order placement to order despatch has probably also reduced my steadily rising blood pressure. All orders from our website and eBay mingle beautifully together with our direct email/telephone orders within linnworks once the simple 'synch' button is pushed. It systematically reduces order process management allowing a 'one-stop shop' from downloading orders to choosing the correct shipping service. For the more technically minded, it can be extensively configured to automate tedious tasks. Templates can be used to create picking/packing lists and invoices tailored for each individual order. It even has its own mature inventory management system which can synch with all your sales channels to automate stock control complete with purchase ordering. It also has a very useful online community forum and a very helpful customer service ticketing system manned by a large techy staff to help you along the way. What more do you need?
I've been using Linnworks for a couple of months now - my business has grown rapidly over the last year with a 500% increase in the number of lines we carry. Manually updating quantities for stock on all platforms was a mammoth task - we had lots of problems with double selling and so on.
Linnworks has eliminated all of the problems we had with inventory management - we can now update stock quantity in the Linnworks software and it'll reflect the changes across all platforms automatically.
The stock management system is great, it does exactly what it says on the tin and I can't think of any way in which it could be improved. It was a little challenging to get things set up properly initially as I had messed up SKUs on eBay listings, but we got there eventually.
We also use Linnworks to print out invoices with integrated labels on them - it was very easy to configure and the invoice templates can be customised with ease - I am very fond of this part of the program too.
There are lots of other bells and whistles in the software that I've not started using yet, but in the New Year when sales quieten down I fully intend to explore the software further.
The only thing I dislike about Linnworks is the tiered support system - I appreciate those paying more should get priority support, but I think all subscribers should get telephone support too. I've encountered a few problems that could have potentially derailed my business, and no telephone support caused great inconvenience for me (one of the people I spoke to on the phone when I initially signed up was VERY rude, too). For the level of sales we do at present I cannot justify upgrading to a more expensive package just for the telephone support option.
All in all I'm very happy with the software and I recommend it to other ecommerce business owners frequently. The only area that needs improving isn't the software itself, it's the support team/system. You feel incredibly alone when you've got hundreds of orders to process and pack but the software isn't working properly!
we explored the possibility of leaving Linnworks sometime ago and developing our own order processing sysem - however we are delighted that we made the decision to stay . LW is one powerful peice of software and is the platform we need to grow our business on from ebay to amazon to buying and packing orders. everything we need and more - plus the support staff are real experts
Linnworks has enabled us to sell on various platforms that we could not have done in the past. During the busy christmas period we never oversold once.
The back up is first class by way of a good forum and ticket system.
The software is worked on contantly and any bugs reported are taken seriously and erradicated at great speed even at weekends.
This review is based on our usage of the cheapest, most basic tier of Linnworks. The package is extremely comprehensive and includes far more functionality than is required for our small business. And at the price point there is no other competition that can come close.
We're about to upgrade to Linnworks Anywhere so we can access the system from more than one place and so the database is stored online. That will overcome one problem we've had with the current version we use.
Other points to mention - The client is not very user friendly, it has very non-standard ways of doing things, and things that should be really simple are hidden away in a bizarre user interface. It's butt ugly too... and I mean REALLY ugly!
There are some obvious things you would expect it to do - like allow you to send an invoice as an email - that the documentation says is possible but I really can't work out how to do it (and I'm a software developer!).
The other bugbear that we have is that it's reliant on a desktop client that is Windows only. We much prefer working on Mac systems but the only way to use Linnworks on Mac is via a Virtual Machine like Parallels - not ideal.
On the whole though, every other product out there that offers the same level of functionality, costs £600+ per month.
Linnworks is simply fantastic, the solution saves me so much time, and is perfectly designed to do exactly what it is supposed to.
The support team are simply excellent, updates are issued on a regular basis with new features, and any problems they will get you up and running in no time.
When compared with all of the other similar solutions on the market, Linnworks outshines them all. Being an application, rather than a web site is so valuable for business, allowing everything to work seamlessly, without using web based order management systems which are clunky and take forever to load on anything but the fastest connections, and as Linnworks is an application, it can work with printers, barcode scanners, and many more easily without fiddly settings.
I would recommend it to everyone, but may try and keep it a secret from my competitors...
We are using Linnworks as an interface between Amazon and our back end system, it does the job admirably and with little fuss. We used to use Channel Advisor which we found to be too complex and expensive for our requirements. We are currently interfacing our shopping cart to Linnworks which is proving tricky due to a host of add on etc on the cart and some peculiarities of Linnworks, but there is never a one size fits all solution... We have found support to be responsive and generally helpful. there are some areas that are a bit basic but we can work around and at least they aren't charging a fortune and taking a percentage of our turnover... Unlike some other systems...
This is a great application for the value for money with so many features compared to the competition. Support offered by the linnworks staff is also decent and they helped me resolve a few issues I was having. The only thing I dont like is that you need to have the application open to sync inventory, other software can do this, but it costs at least 5x more. Overall a great value for money piece of software!
We looked around all the various options for our ordering system and decided on Linnworks. We have been up and running now for 6 months without issue and have found the system reliable with zero downtime. All the features are well thought out and work well. To be honest, selling across 7 channels and nearly 10,000 products, we would find it impossible to manage all our sales without this system.
Linnworks allows me to scale my business and automate many of the mundane tasks that I hated doing. Ill be using it more and more throughout the year simply due to its flexibility to adapt to all of my needs. For the money, its a pretty amazing order manager and piece of software. Support has also always been there for me in case of issues.
We have been with Linnworks for over 5 years and its been smooth sailing. We researched many other solution providers before committing and decided to go with Linnworks because of the price and the Channels that were available.
Though sometime linnworks can be hard to grasp the linnworks team are always on hand to help you through the way. With lots of informative tutorials and one-2-ones i found it pretty easy to integrate linnwork into the daily operations of my business. And best of all there still so much i can use linnworks. There also pushing daily and daily into the future. A team and the software that keeps evolving, thanx linnworks.
I would love to recommend Linn systems to any online merchant as it makes the job of
Multi Channel Selling
Overall a good piece of software but as everyone has different requirements I think they have room for Improvement.
