I've got a very short notice for an event so i urgently needed prom dress which could be delivered next day. These reviews, read before, really made me worry but i hardly find anything else. So i ordered the dress from lipsy at 20:50pm and at 14:00pm next day i got my dress. I was really concerned about the size as it was the first time i ordered clothes online, but it fitted nicely. Though if in doubts, i'd suggest going for a bigger size rather than smaller.
Only minus - the dress i've ordered in the picture was white, and there were no colour choice but i got nude colour dress.
I ordered a dress online in early February 2013 and after 3 weeks I still had not received the package. At the end of February, I then received an email that Lipsy received my return and would be issuing me a credit refund. How can i possibly return a package I never received to begin with. I reached out to customer service with my dissatisfaction and the error. The reason provided by customer service was the post man had difficulties delivering the package. First of all, I am the queen of online shopping, so I have packages being delivered every other day to my home and i NEVER have issues. Second, I live in a doorman building and they accept my packages on my behalf. I told them I wanted the package resent because i needed the dress urgently for an event. They said there was nothing they could do, so I had to go on there an order the dress again. I swear it better be delivered this time around.
If I could I would give them a ZERO, I would! I live in US, I ordered a blouse from this company, it arrived a month later, pacakge was COMPLETELY destroyed and the blouse damaged. I contacted the costumer service, they were absolutely useless, NEVER gave me a refund, and blamed the whole thing on the postal service. The blouse was sent in a PLASTIC BAG, who does that? DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU LIVE IN US, I had a terrible experience with them and after months of going back and forth, I just gave up, not worth the 80 bucks I spent on that shirt.......
In this day how can it take 2 weeks for something to be delivered after it has been dispatched? Still waiting.
I ordered from their webshop multiple times. Fortunately always on sale. The items are more or less worth the SALE price, not more. (I'm talking about MINIMUM 50% off). Clothes are polyesther nightmare. All shoes are fake leather for 80-100Ł full price. Joke. However most of them looks good. They are just not good quality. My last order just didn't arrive. Nowhere to be seen. Customer support never replies. Their website has lots of bugs, cannot handle the massive influx of customers, they have out of stock items on for weeks before removing them, some items are displayed as out of stock, then 5 minutes later they're in stock again, then out, then in and so on. For this reason paying is difficult, often errors encounter.
I visit their facebook pages daily, many others complaining about non-responsieve customer support. I don't reccomend the online shop. I accepted all above untill I got what I have payed for. Since last time I didn't get it, and Lipsy just doesn't give a rap on it, I do not recommend them.
Just visit the local shop instead and only at the sale.
I bought a dress few month ago.I had problems with the payment process on their website.I called customer service over 10 times,and everytime they were saying that everything was resolved...but it` was not.They made me pay 3 TIMES for the dress.It took more than 2 weeks to get the dress...I will never use Lipsy ever again.
I never experienced anything like it to purchase an item.
My mom ordered a dress for me for christimas on the 13th of dec. The dress was on stock and they promised to send an email when the dress was dispatched. Now on the 24th she still havn't got the email or the dress! she emailed them to find out what was going on, and they just didn't reply!!
now my mom is really sad and feel bad because the christimas gift did not arrive! There homepage said 5-7 days for delivery, yet they couldn't even manage to send a dress, THAT WAS IN STOCK, in ten days!!
and by the looking at this homepage my mom was not the only one who got treated badly.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE! It sucks!

First- I could not even figure out how to call them from the United States- as their website does not even provide the area codes needed for people out of the country (yet the sell to us!!) - so I had to use other websites and resources to even figure out how to get them on the phone!!
Then for my purchase-
I bought this blouse and
four days later the same top is on sell-
i get a hold of them to tell them this is unfair-
and them I learn I have to PAY to return the top (obviously not cheap when coming going from US to UK) and re purchase the top on sell!
like seriously- no other website would do that.
It has not even been a week- they should give me the sell price.
After this annoyance-

and came across the most recent reviews that were all NEGATIVE.
Others were even asking "why is lipsy customer service so bad"
Wouldn't you think lipsy would learn to treat their customers better?!
i ordered a coat at £75 which was horrible, sent it back and lipsy said they hadnt received it even though royal mail had a signed signature from them. after sending a screen shot of the signature and waiting three weeks i eventually got my refund back. I sent a lot of emails which were not replied to so in the end i had to phone them. sent a complaint email last wednesday and nearly a week later i still havnt heard back. rubbish customer service. on top of that i had to pay to return my coat! absolute rip off!! i would reccoment orderin lipsy dresses etc off next, very, places like that where you are gauranteed great service.

I simply just love lipsy! I have 5 lipsy dresses in my closet, all ordered from their site. Haven't had any problems with them so far! Their sizeguide is true to reality, their dresses are beautiful and I have only had great experience with the customer service!

Ordered a dress for new year and chose the day of delivery, the dress still hadn't arrived a week later so we phoned up to see what had happened. Turned out that the dress had been delivered to the wrong adress, We live at number 41 and dress was delivered to number 21. To make matters worse when we asked what to do they told US to go to the house to try and sort it instead of lipsy trying to deal with it. Turns out it wasn't delivered there either. When we phoned up again they told us the money had been took out of the bank for the dress already and we wouldn't get it back untill we sent a letter explaining the situation. The money won't be back in the bank till after xmas now which is a complete joke ! Totally untrustworthy site and i wouldn't reccomend it to anybody !

Totally dissapointed in their lack of customer service, stock availability & inaccurate website information.
I originally ordered a coat on 8th November with a quoted delivery date of 17th November. The delivery date passed so I was given a new delivery date, this date passed, the month turned to December and still no delivery. I emailed Lipsy asking when I would receive my order only to be told that they were having problems with the supplier & didn't have any idea when this item would be back in stock. It would have been nice if Lipsy had of kept me updated with their info, they had my email address to inform me of any new delivery dates or problems - but no contact whatsoever. I had to do all the chasing, emailing & calling. Feeling really dissapointed with Lipsy I then decided to cancel my order.
My partner has also ordered me a Christmas pressie from Lipsy which stated low stock but gave a delivery date, surprise -surprise, this date has been and gone with no delivery and no contact from Lipsy. They have now removed this item from their website but still not contacted my partner.
I wouldn't recommend this company. If you spot anything you like, shop around to find it or something similar. You can't rely on Lipsy.

I placed an order on 08/30 dispatched on 08/31 and as today 09/29 I never received the order. I asked to be refunded to the customer care and they replied I need to wait until 10/13 before they can claim the parcel lost. Are they mad or what??? I'm amazed they're still in business with this crap customer care policy.
Anyway I asked a chargeback to my CC company and hopefully will have my money back asap.
I'm located in northern Italy and it's a real shame that for the expensive amount of £ 8 they do not offer a trackable reliable shipping service but a totally crap shipping.
NEVER AGAIN! worst online purchasing experience ever!

I had 3 dresses in my "shopping bag" and by the time I went to check out 2 of them were sold out!! What a joke! Needless to say didn't order the third. What kind of business are these people running; never encountered something like this ever. Very upsetting as I really wanted these dresses :(
I bought many items from Lipsy in the past but am reluctant to return as items recently purchased were not delivered. In addition to this, there have been occasions where money was taken from my account and the item not what was ordered- I called to alert Lipsy and they told me if I still wanted the item, I would have to order again.
I had to pay first for sending back the wrong item and it would be my responsibilty to make sure it arrived on the other side- basically recorded delivery. In order to claim money back for the postage, I was to send them a copy of the receipt.
The customer service over the phone also varies... Although there are items that I like, I don't really want to order in case anything goes wrong again - it happened too often to be a one off. Perhaps being bought by Next is not a good thing?
I sympathise with the lady who had her identity taken as did notice that Lipsy sometimes stores your credit card from the last transaction.
A reluctant customer.
Last Saturday I received an email alert from my bank of unusual activity on my debit card. I checked my account online and saw an unauthorized charge for almost $700 to a UK website I had never heard of called Lipsy.co.uk
I immediately called my bank's fraud department and alerted them that there was an unauthorized charge and I filed a fraud claim, and they put a block on the debit card so the identity thief/scammer who had obtained the card number couldn't do any more damage. My bank then reversed the fraudulent charge.
3 days later I look at my bank balance and the fraudulent charge has once again shown up and money has once again been taken from my account. Apparently Lipsy filed a claim because the fraudulent charge made by the identity thief was reversed. So I had to file another claim to try to recover the money that has been stolen from me via Lipsy's website.
I am getting hit with daily overdraft fees as a result of the double whammy of the theft of my identity and debit card by the original identity thief, and Lipsy taking money from me the identity theft victim rather than going after the criminal who they allowed to purchase items with a stolen debit card on their website (a website which obviously has piss poor security if it doesn't have safeguards in place in its checkout system to prevent criminals from using stolen debit cards on its site.)
So now I've been victimized twice: once by the identity thief who obtained my debit card info, and then again by Lipsy who filed a claim to grab money from me, the identity theft victim, rather than trying to catch the identity thief who stole my info and card.
To summarize: the identity theft victim gets screwed, and both the identity thief (who ordered items with the stolen card) and Lipsy (who made a profit on the items it sold the thief) end up making a buck off the theft of my identity.
