It's the worst company ever that I had to deal with. Avoid it at all costs. After waiting for 3 months for the ordered goods to arrive and receiving numerous excuses from the litecraft company, I've decided to cancel my order. More than a month now have passed and I still haven't received my money back. I will definitely complain to Trading Standards.
I also ordered a lot of lights from ltecraft for a karaoke bar i set up recently, ordered online and lights arrived ontime no problem, but i had changed my mind once id received the lights, after contacting and negotiating with the customer services manager i exchanged the lights without a hiccup! extremely happy :)

Without doubt the worst service i've had from any company ever.
All the positive comments are made up. Just see the ones from October 2009, all the same style and written on the same day. What a con!
Their customer service is appalling, they rarely answer the phone and if they do they treat it like some big joke - laughing down the phone.
I've waited over 4 months for a refund on my order. I'm contacting the police and trading standards.

Three items were ordered on 29 September 2009 (order number 510876) and all three items were displayed on their website as 'In Stock' and available for next day delivery. After waiting three weeks, I was ultimately informed that the 'item(s)' were no longer available. I cancelled the order on 21 October 2009 and was assured of a refund 'asap'.
After numerous emails and phone calls I emailed a complaint to them. The Litecraft Web Team confirmed receipt of my original complaint on 3 November 2009 but have since failed to provide any further response, let alone address the issue raised - namely when I can expect to receive the refund for the cancelled order.
I wrote again on 17th January 2010 to the 'Customer Services Manager' but again no response. Having now read the other reviews I doubt whether the company has a manager in charge of customer services.
They never supplied any goods, but charged my credit card anyway. They are guilty of fraud with a capital F. Fortunately the order was only worth £30 - but fraud is fraud no matter the sum.
I will be writing to the local Trading Standards Dept in Oldham - they must be sick of Litecraft too!
Have given Litecraft 1 star because no stars is not an option. Do NOT trade with this company on line!

I recently spent over £600 on ceiling lights and wall lights for my restaurant. The ceiling lights were delivered quickly but I was told I would have to wait for the matching wall lights as they were being ordered from the suppliers.
I was happy with the ceiling lights but I couldn't wait for the wall lights due to time. Was then offered a replacement over the phone which later arrived within the week and looks really nice.
Good service and happy with the lights would use again. ...

My experience is so different, I think they are placing reviews, look at all those very excited ones on the 19th of October for example. Hmm, no decent company would have such a contrast in their customer experience, just a very blatent fiddle. Ordered two bathroom wall lights. One in good condition, the other one was obviously a light sent back by another customer, packaging broken and missing, light shade with a a big ugly internal fault through it. They 'never recieved' the faulty light I sent back and say I have to claim through the post office to get the money to pay for a replacement. The people who answer the phone sound like they are VERY used to unhappy customers, refunds and returns. I SOOOO wish I'd looked for reviews first.

I bought the most gorgeous Floor Lamp for such a great price. I really wasn't expecting the quality to be that good. But when it came I was so pleasantly surprised! Great Products and Really Cheap. I would recommend everyone to use this company. Thank you

DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS COMPANY THEY REALLY SHOULD'T BE IN BUSINESS AND SHOULD BE REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS. I wouldn't even rate this company. I ordered a couple of lights from this company, one I received the shades were smashed, ok, this could have happened in transit, but is was also scratched so shouldn't even have been posted in the first place. I was told a replacement would be posted out upon return of the faulty one (which I had to pay postage). Replacement light never received after several phone calls was advised that the item had been posted out and would be received within 2 days. Waited...........and waited............ never received! Guess what the item wasn't in stock and awaiting delivery from China, was promised a replacement within couple of weeks. Waited, waited, and waited, and WAITED. Nothing, rang customer services, they couldn't understand why I hadn't received a replacement so I requested a refund and was told it would be credited to my card within the week. Waited and waited and waited. To cut along story short every time I rang customer services was told that the funds had been refunded, they obviously hadn't. Afer endless phone calls and week after week (which ran into month after month) I finally received my refund after 8 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after threatening with Trading Standards. If they can't even be bothered to send out a replacement light it just goes to show what chance you've got of a refund. I honestly cant beleieve that the good feedback they have been given is by customers it's got to be staff making it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Bought a ceiling light with matching wall lights from the website, the person i dealt with over the phone was helpful, i was given free bulbs and free delivery so was i very happy. When they arrived they looked great in my living room.
I recieved excellent service at Manchester litecraft by the arena at the weekend. I went in with my children and they were thoroughly entertained by the christmas Santa box, which gave me plenty of time to look around the store.
I purchased my lights at the weekend and have been contacted since to be told my lights have arrived. I feel this is great service and will be returning for more lights.
I visited Litecraft Oldham on 22nd October with the intention of buying a ceiling light. After browsing the store for 5 minutes i was approached by a young lady who offered me chocolates and a coffee. i was extremly impressed with the service and her knowledge of their products and was helped quickly to find a suitable light. I also found two table lamps that i was interested in but these where out of stock. however i was told these could be ordered for me and sent to my house within 5 days. my lights where delivered 3 days later. i can honestly say i had no problems with my experience at litecraft and have written to the company aknowledging there superb service and I will definitly be shopping here again in the future.
i have searched for months for the centre piece of my redecorated room. after visiting several stores I visited Litecraft and I was dealt with in a professional manner and the staff spent 2 hours with me, helping me find the right light at the right price. My room is now complete. Thank you
After ordering a number of lights for almost £300, I experienced nothing but problems from Litecraft. I must admit that the service was very good on the day that we ordered and paid for the lights, but I had nothing but exceptionally poor service and problems after parting with my money. We waited months and months for the lights, chasing them up regularly, being lied to on delivery dates, phonecalls not being returned etc etc, I got so frustrated. Items that were eventually sent were damaged, it was just one problem after the next with Litecraft.
I even wrote to the director of the company and sent him 2 e-mails but have still had no response (the letter was about 3 pages long due to the number of problems we had!). Fortunately we now eventually have the lights, but the fact that people at management level can't even be bothered to respond to their customers after taking their money means I will never order from them again. It is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with, unfortunately my lesson was learnt after parting with my money.
I see that this review will also be sent to Litecraft.......I wait with baited breath for a response. Even an apology might be nice....................
I ordered goods to the value of £182.00 from their website. After 1 week i asked for a delivery date which they would not give, only to say it could be months. I asked for my order to be cancelled and my money refunded, to which they agreed. They never had any intention of refunding my money. They are a load of crooks pretending to be reputable. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS OR LOOSE YOUR MONEY. They grow rich by FRAUD, and the sooner they are closed down the better for ewveryone.
I went to litecraft in Oldham in order to buy two armchairs which had 200 pounds knocked off the sales price. I had been the week before and a sales-lady confirmed the price as there was no price ticket on.
I returned today ready to part with my money and was attended by an extremely rude sales-lady who was reluctant to attend to me as she was chatting to a colleague who informed me that they were full price and interrupted me when I tried to explain I had been the week before. Absurdly, another attendant aproached me at the same time and told me they were on sale!!!
The result? I left without buying the chairs I had been so excited about, nor will I be planning on returning soon to this branch of litecraft. These people are meant to be selling products, not driving customers away!
I visited the Liverpool store today, I was made very welcome, even given a cup of coffee by a member of staff, while i walked around the store, the staff where all so friendly and helpfull, and made time to have a conversation. I chose my lights which i was delighted with, and one of the boys carried them to my car for me, nothing was too much trouble.
I must say i did enjoy shopping today, and will recommend them to my friends and family.
I just purchased a matching set of crystal wall lights for the lounge and i have to say the staff at the website went out of their way to assist me. The technical knowledge they had regarding energy saving light bulbs is incredible and now i feel reassured knowing that i purchased some fabulous lights at the lowest possible price whilst doing my bit for the environment. Would totally recommend them to anyone !!!
I ordered lights that looked great but in reality looked very cheap. I have been trying to contact them by phone and using their return email with no avail. No one seems to answer calls or respond to emails!!!

I've never come across a company with such a terrible customer service. I purchased a floor lamp in early February, it arrived without the glass shades, I then contacted Litecraft to request the missing shades, (in writing, so frustrating when you can't speak to an actual person) They apologised and said they would be sent, I've now been told this on 5 different occasions after endless phone calls and emails.....utterly ridiculous. They never return calls and count yourself lucky if they respond to your email. I'm still waiting for the shades. The prices may look attractive but steer well clear, they are cowboys with a Capital C. I've informed Trading Standards.
We ordered some LED cabinet lighting for our new kitchen on 1/2/09. It is now 19/2/09 and we have not either the order or any contact. They ignore emails, answerphone messages, site feedback and livechat doesn't work. I got one response from livechat on the 2nd attempt asking how they can help after leaving it on for 5 minutes. I gave responses and after 15 minutes I had no reply. I phoned the main number. On two separate days it just rang and went to answerphone and they ignored our messages. The third time I got through and they promised to ring back last Friday and still haven't (it is Thursday). They have broken the conditions on their website to either deliver within 3-5 days or notifying us if they can't. An alternative number I got through on was 0161 628 1857. This lady was going to talk to a manger and get back to me...but still hasn't. They have my partner's phone and email and havn't got back to him either.
Still waiting for my order 9 days later. No communication from litecraft. I just got in touch with them and was given the standard "it'll arrive tomorrow" response. Wouldn't mind so much but their website clearly states next day delivery, a major factor for my choosing to order from them.
Good prices, but rubbish service and fraudulent delivery claims. Steer well clear if you're in a hurry for your goods.
