Bought and paid for goods in full, never attempted to deliver after several email was eventually given a refund. Was called a liar on several occasions by managers at the call centre, even sent in a bank statement to show I had paid and was made out to be wrong. Only resolved when I threatened to contact papers. Wouldn't recomment Littlewoods or the other companies they own - very, k&co, etc.
Every time you ring you a friendly voice and happy to help you and they go out their wayto help you. My husband and I are both disabled and my husband is not very good at talking to people over the phone so once he has done giving his details he says can my wife deal with the rest like the ordering and so on. If you have a problem paying your bill they are very unstanding and they go of there way to help you so you can pay it. That is why both my husband and I have accounts with them. I have been with other catalogues but none can beat little woods in our minds.
I applied and was accepted with your company on the 16th Jan,I placed an order for a vacuum cleaner(dyson) worth £299. It was due to be delivered on mon 20th jan,it never arrived after many phone calls was told to wait a few days,by we'd evening it still hadn't arrived and I was told to contact the depot myself. I contacted them and was told that they had the label but no product so for me to contact you again. So on Thursday Thursday 23rd jan, I called to say how unhappy I was with the experience I had received, I was then asked to wait a few more days for it to arrive,I said I was unprepared to do this,so another vacuum cleaner was ordered and was going to be delivered on Friday 24th Jan. It did arrive on the 24th with the other cleaner,so I received 2! I called to say I wished to return 1,but I didn't have an invoice for the vacuum ordered on the 16th so I had to use the invoice of the 2nd vacuum. On my account if you for track item it still says item in transit! Also I am still waiting for a catalogue,so as you can see my 1st experience isn't very good.
I have used Littlewoods for years and have never really had any problems with them. However Over the last few months I have noticed that the call centres have moved from outside of the UK and I have found the new centre very disappointing to deal with, Most of the calls I have made there have not been dealt with in a very friendly manner and information is conflicting. I also feel that the quality in the shoes and clothes has gone down hill. I will really think hard before using my account again :(
I have ordered a few things from Littlewoods catalogue, the range is fantastic and the prices are very compatible. when I ordered my items they came extremely fast. The good thing about Littlewoods is that you can pay in instalments. I would recommend Littlewoods to all my friends.
I have bought a wardrope from you which I have not received yet. I was told that they send it to me, but I have not received it. Did call the deport about and they told me that they will find out what happened, they have not come back to me. I am the one who is calling them everytime they always saying they will call me back but they never called me. I am not happy about it. now I am in a situation of wanting to cancel the account because I cant wait for ever without the knowledge of what is happening.
They have a good range of stuff from clothes to kitchen equipment to fence panels! There's a choice of payment options from paying upfront, paying over a year (high interest rates) to paying 0% apr over 20 or 52 weeks (what I always do). Delivery is prompt and on some items you can use collect+, collecting from a local shop whenever is convenient for you. Returns are easy, just phone up or go online, and a courier collects. You can also return to a collect+ shop though I've never done this. The only down side is the mark up in price-there is a dishwasher for sale that I bought outright on a different website for under £300 that is over £500 on littlewoods. I suppose it's the price u pay for the option of paying a little off each week. I used littlewoods to buy my daughter some trainers for Xmas that had sold out elsewhere-I ordered on the 21st December and collected them on Xmas eve from the corner shop at the end of my street- so convenient!!!
Spoke to a very courteous customer service adviser, but later discovered that he had omitted vital details in our transaction which led to my being refused credit. No-one let me know this and my furniture was not delivered on a pre-arranged date. I found out that it was not being delivered only when I attempted to track the delivery on the day. I had already prepared my home for the delivery by disposing of all the items being replaced. My home was left chaotic and time was lost at work. I was promised that the recording of the original telephone conversation would be listened to and I would be made aware of the outcome of this. The order was put through without the terms that took me over my credit limit (I had no choice by this time, but to go ahead with the purchase) and the furniture was eventually delivered. I have received only an email detailing what I had already had explained to me when I had initially complained, but with absolutely no apology and no offer of any compensatory measures. I am disgusted by the company's attitude and have no intention of any future dealings with them beyond paying off what I owe. I would most certainly not recommend this company, and in fact would warn people of the possibility of this type of circumstance if they considered dealing with them.
I have been a Littlewoods customer for many years, and love the choice they have to offer. I shop for clothes for myself and my children, as well as small electrical items for the home. Even our ps3 was chosen through Littlewoods, as I can pay it off monthly, with the direct debit I have set up. This way of paying for things makes life simpler ! I never have to worry about remembering to pay my monthly bill, as it is all worked out and averaged out, and taken from my account securely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Littlewoods to family and friends ( that I haven't already ! ) Keep up the good work !
On more than one occasion my statements were calculated wrongly, adding interest onto things which were paid for already. Took three or four phone calls to customer services on each occasion littlewoods made errors, even though every time I rang they said it would be sorted out immediately. No apology from littlewoods and yet again same mistakes made. Do yourself a favour and steer well clear of this sub standard company.
I called Littlewoods and spoke to a salesman about a laptop with ease. When I queried a discount code on the LITTLEWOODS website, I was redirected to a colleague who was extremely rude from the start who explained it ran out that day and there were clear t&cs. I had a look and sure enough they were there, but with an expiry of 7 months before!! Said that was a bit lax for such an established company but fair enough, thinking she'll send me back to salesman, but got a very curt goodbye and she hung up on me. I rang back and luckily got the same salesman who was apologetic and said she was rude to him too. The sale goes through. Later the day I log in to check my order and see its been put through TWICE! So I ring up again (so far racking up a good 90 mins in call charges) to inform them, I was answered by a woman with what seemed to be a very poor grasp of the English language, who after the 30 min call did not instill much confidence when she said it was ok. I hung up not willing to spend any more time or money on the fools errand. Fast forward 2 days, my laptop has not been dispatched and I get a phone call saying it's been duplicated and I'm over my credit limit! But it's been cancelled so it should be ok and I shouldn't get both laptops... An experience of incompetence that unfortunately offset the initial phonecall with the lovely gentleman I initially spoke to. He's a credit to your company, but I'd think twice about using Littlewoods again
I ordered a sofa on the 5th Jan 2014 it was in stock and would be delivered on 23rd Jan two days later I was told the 28th of Jan. After hearing nothing I phoned on the 27th to see if it was still being delivered they said no it was out of stock. After lengthy phone calls by myself getting no answers we had to choose an alternative sofa, which is due delivery on the 3rd of March.
So far littlewoods has been appealing to me. I like the fact that you could buy an item and pay in weekly instalments with no interest, thats just something totally different to any other online business I've seen and could be very useful for those who are on a budget. Delivery and item were good.
Before Christmas I made two big orders the first buy now pay in 6 months. At checkout said I would pay around £200 in interest; amount owed around £750. I made another for buy now pay in 6 months; amount owed around £350.
The reason I chose to do this is because I wished to finish paying what I owed at an affordable payback rate for myself... First payment in January you took 3 times what I thought I'd agreed to, I called, they rectified, great you'd think? Well I did until I checked my account and interest of over £1000 had been added... I spent well over £20 on my phone to call and rectify and I was told pretty much nothing can be done.
I was under the impression if it got paid within a year then I'd pay no interest? I've always been and always will be a good payer, that is unless you force ny hand that im in a situation I can't pay? There is no reason I won't pay you and no reason for the premeditated interest.
This is also affecting my credit score, which is unfair as its you who is adding early interest to my account.
This is a spiteful, nasty way if running a business and I will pay what I owe at my earliest convenience and never use you again.
Spoken to rudely by customer service team. Customer service heavily accented and hard to understand. Item delivered damaged. Delivery men extremely unprofessional - referred to me as 'Bruv' constantly and were very lecherous towards my partner. Items ordered (Wardrobes) just poor quality chipboard. Order now sent back, waiting for refund (which I have no doubt they will make a complete hash of too).
