Awful service from my local pharmacy, prices online completely different to in store even though it doesn't say anywhere online exclusive, just been ripped off £4 and won't give refund, will use coop pharmacy from now on, staff very unhelpful. A complaint has been made in writing to head office
Prescriptions not picked up from Surgery next door. Prescriptions collected but not filled by next day. No queue management. Failure to open on time.... then no apology and no acknowledgement of issues by either the Pharmacist (Ms. Comber) or service receptionist. Unless you are happy with shoddy service, aloof staff led by a haughty Pharmacist avoid Kings Rd Horley Lloyds - there is another Lloyds or Boots within a 200 yards. Am moving my prescription collecting/filling accordingly.
I hate my local lloyds pharmacy with a passion, to the point now where I will no longer give them the satisfaction of being rude to me. The staff in the Ball Haye Street Leek branch seem to just enjoy you coming in so they can make you wait for half an hour while the pharmacist had their break. Of course they don't tell you that until you have paid then they have the chance to smirk and laugh between themselves that you are sitting waiting, but enough is enough and it has now happened too many times so I will no longer put up with it and will go to one of the many others in the town.
My local Lloyds pharmacy is consistently awful. They're frequently out of stock of common medicines and items are commonly missing from repeat prescriptions with no explanation. Even when items have been ordered weeks ahead of time, there's no guarantee they'll have actually done it. They think nothing of making customers wait for half and hour or more when they've been sitting on the prescription for a week already. Considering that they're dealing with potentially dangerous medications, their apparent lack of efficient processes and procedures for checking and verifying prescriptions borders on the frightening.
It gets worse though. Not only are they hopelessly inefficiently, they're rude and unhelpful too, acting as if they're doing their customers a favour simply by being there. I've lost count of the number of times they've messed up and yet nobody has ever apologised.
If there were another pharmacy near me that could accept electronic prescription transfers, I'd move to them in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I'm more-or-less stuck with Lloyds. However, if you can avoid them, I'd recommend you do so.
What's this all about? I took a prescription in yesterday, and was told there's a 40 minute wait (as usual: they never ever do the prescriptions there and then). I decide to leave it until today. I go in to collect, and I'm told I HAVE to wait (no apology) I explain that I brought it in yesterday. I'm told that the chemist has gone out to get lunch and that he has to be there when they give out the prescription, even though it's all there ready and has been checked. The chemist has to be there when they hand it over. So I wait, puzzled and getting annoyed. The chemist returns, the counter assistant doesn't speak to him, doesn't mention my prescription. He goes out the back and she hands me my prescription.
What on earth is that all about?
My local Lloyds Pharmacy alway have a £1 shelf. I pop in at least once a fortnight to see what is on the shelf, there is always something there I want. From Radox, Dove pack of 4 soaps, Imperial Leather Talc...the list goes on. Great value for a small local pharmacy.
