prompt, efficient service at a good price

The Best tool shop supplier in Coventry
I've never had an issue getting hold of quality tools with Machine Mart, helpful and knowledgeable staff, Can order tools or parts if required, as a mechanic there has been many a time where I will need a specialized tool or a socket in a hurry, Machine Mart is the place to go.

ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH
I ordered an electric motor that I needed desperately. I paid extra for next day delivery. The motor didn't arrive. I phoned up to see when the motor would arrive, I was told it would be with me before 6pm. The motor didn't arrive. I phoned again and was told it would be with me before 11am the next day. The motor didn't arrive. I phoned again and was told if needed the motor desperately it would be best if I bought it elsewhere and they would return my money. This I did, but they didn't return my money. About ten days later the motor arrived. In the end I had to threaten them with leagal action to get my money back. If you want good service shop elsewhere!!!!!

Does what is says on the tin
My purchase from Machine Mart was quick and easy to do and check that the stock was available, my only issue was the basket of goods out side of the add to basket was not easy to find when I decided I have finished shopping.

I have dealt with this company for several years and never had cause to complain or regret purchasing the goods I have bought they have all been of excelent quality and given very good service.
The products that I have where also cheaper than other tradersI have looked at

I ordered over the phone, and found the person on the other end polite & knowledgeable.

Good price but sent wrong product initially
I liked the price and the product (ladder).
Problem is the wrong ladder was sent.
Had problem with delivery of replacement as was told this would done in two goes (replacement on one day and the pick up return on another day). Real pain.
Actually the delivery company changed this and did in one go but it meant someone had to wait in all day for this to occur.
Never got additional money I paid for next day delivery returned.

Great product at an affordable price
The online order was placed easily, the only bad surprise was to find out AFTER placing the order that Machine Mart does not cumulate offer, unlike other retailer, and so although the order was placed through Topcashback, which offers discounts on orders (even if those are at a special price), Machine Mart gave initially a discount, and withdrew it a few days later, meaning a "loss" of nearly £30. Disappointing to say the least.

Excellent service, poor usage of equipment
The service was excellent, recieved the items promptly after ordering. The Flexidrive drill shaft, unfortunately broke after a short period but I think this was my fault as I was over using it and put too much stress on it. I have managed to repair it since though.

Great tools and great staff
I visited Machine Mart to purchase some new tools for my compressor.
The staff came over and help me select the correct tool, was very polite and very helpful.
When I used the spray gun that I had purchased the finish was perfect.
Could not ask for more.
I have a large range of Clarke tools and they are all faultless.

Air today, here (almost) tomorrow!
I needed a bunch of different airline fittings for my compressor and air tools pretty sharpish. Could only find everything together at Machine Mart. It was all clearly explained (thread sizes etc) at a good price and delivery time was excellent. I would certainly recommend anyone to give them a try first!

I've visited and purchased all manner of tools from Machine Mart on a number of occasions for various challenges i've had whilst repairing my cars. i view myself as a day to day fix it kind of guy who on a day to day basis (mainly weekends) prefers to tackle maintenance and upgrades myself, as a driveway mechanic, as apposed to offering my hard earned for a change to get the problem / service carrie dout by a main stealer.
Using Machine Mart to buy the require tools, some of them specifically for the brand of car I'm owrking on has never let me down. Any tricky situation I find myself in, I always turn to MM first as 9.9 times out of 10, they have the tool I require and at a very good price compared with other options, such as online purchases.
I would reccomend the 7 days a week 'were always open' knowledgeable staff to any one, any time.

Ordered several items to fit out a new workshop.Ordered by phone at 8.15am-Not a good idea as there was only one person there and was told most people start at 8.30am.Was told someone would ring me later-they didn't so rang myself at 11.00am.
I asked to be advised of delivery so I could be at home. Whilst goods arrived in good time,I was out so they filled next door neighbours garage with my boxes. Luckily they have a sense of humour as this was workbenches/cupboards and very heavy.Thought delivery charges were expensive and expected better service.
Workbench was good, packed well and easily put together.
One of the double cupboards was OK if a bit flimsy but the other was damaged and rusty even before packing.I rang Machine Mart and they wanted the item repacking and returning to them before they would send another-this was like repacking a jigsaw and inconvenient to say the least.Did they not trust me to send a replacement part and collect damaged item at the same time? I had to stay at home for their courier to collect and then had to chase Machine Mart after a week later to find out when the replacement part was going to be delivered.Felt like it was my fault! Replacement arrived without notice at 7.15am-gave a laugh to neighbours as I was not dressed!The replacement part was OK but still flimsy but it does the job.
I also ordered a chair for the workshop that was wrecked on delivery and had to be replaced at the same time as the cupboard.
Latterly I've used Machine Mart for another couple of bits for the workshop and my experience was better.
Overall they fulfilled my orders but you get what you pay for. They never asked for my service experience so this report is a positive start-if they read and act upon it!

No problem with purchase but had to wait some time due to items out of stock a credit on the Postage and packing due to delay would have been a nice jesture Also I am still waiting for a VAT receipt which I requested on 2 occasions but they have failed to respond

some tools need a serious review of quality (crap)
to be perfectly honest some of the tools/equipment at machine mart have a serious quality issue.
however if chosen carefully the tools can last nearly a week.
if it needs to cut something then dont buy it at machine mart.
my compressor is more ornamental than useful. (its been back twice) still wont start unless its summer! machine marts suggestion was to keep it in my house in the warm !!!!!!!!!!!
the small yellow lathe has plastic gears, not a good idea!!!!!!! the teeth just strip off. i sold the one i bough very soon after buying it.
i guess thats me out of the draw then!
i seem to have a shed full of faulty machine mart stuff. no point in trying to return it, (machine mart policy)
lathe tools are a joke, milling cutters wont cut mild steel. drills that wont drill. drill press that wont drill 5mm holes without a struggle. machine vices that snap.
i could go on and on but will leave it with just one more thing.
the guys there are mostly ok and helpful but
the manager of norwich store is a total muppet. he treats the staff terribly, and leans on the counter most of the time being important!!!!!!!!!!

Reasonably priced tools and good replacement service
I've bought quite a few Clarke tools over the years. Found that if they are used within their capacity, they generally work fine. A couple of units have failed and were replaced quite promptly. The new grinder i have is a replacement for a unit that had a fault with the main bearing. It was 11 months old and after an assessment it was replaced for a new one. so was happy with the service and the replacement. Over all they are fairly decent. Only criticism i have is some of the counter staff lack enthusiasm and don't seem to be trained enough on the product they are selling. But generally polite and helpful. Hence four stars not five.

New cupboards have everything locked down
Ordered new bench, cabinets and cupboards as well as a 4 drawer cabinet on casters - all Clarke items. Simple ordering by phone and my order arrived as a whole on a pallet which was delivered into my garage. Good value for money and good service all round.

Machine mart have a good range of products which are usually good value. I purchased a work bench and storage cabinet and was generally disappointed with the quality. The draws on the work bench don't open well and the cabinet was damaged when delivered, machine mart were excellent at replacing it. The new cabinet does the job but the doors don't meet we'll and the bottom bolt doesn't locate in the slot because the doors are on the wonk. I would probably still buy them though. I purchased a massive roller cabinet which was expensive but superb.

Huge range, great products and good pricing.
Machine Mart couldn't be easier to deal with. There is a great paper catalogue to hold as a reference and the online interface means that ordering is quick and simple, with a telephone service if there are any tricky questions you need to ask.
