I was worried about the delivery people as my flat is brand new and newly decorated. However, all went perfectly well. They made sure not to damage/stain the walls and the flooring. Well done MADE and well done to your delivery partners! Very good!!
Made.com took my money up-front... said 8-12 weeks delivery... actually took 5x months. Rang three seperate occasions & they couldn't tell me anything. Goods arrived damaged, had to return.
Am happy with my chair - it was a long wit but worth it..
However not happy with hours etc delivery men have to work. Delivered. to me after 5 pm and had more deliveries to do then back to Milton Keynes, clean lorry then home for few hours sleep then start all over again, having been up since 3 am. Learned this through asking questions not through them complaining
Are they safe on the road apart for anything else? Will make me think twice before ordering again.
I ordered a chair and wasn't as expected, so had to send it back, but had to pay £55 for the privilege, this is more than what it cost me to get delivered in the first place. This will now back me consider whether I will order anything again from MADE.
Ordered a sofa which arrived faulty, sent pictures to clarify the fault. Very quick response to solving the issue, however still waiting to know when this will happen. No response to numerous e-mails. Feel this is totally unacceptable, as through no fault of our own we have a faulty sofa, which was purchased in good faith costing £800.
Beautiful chair couldn't have asked for anything prettier or closer to what I wanted.
However two really disappointing bits about made.com there inflated charges for Saturday delivery. I work all the week why should I have to incur a penalty for have the item delivered on a Saturday!
And when the chair arrived there was a nice big stain on the front made by industrial glue, won't come off. Made.com answer to this is to offer me a tiny amount of money refunded (doesn't even cover the extra postage I paid) or wait and indefinite time to return the item and have a new one delivered running the risk of it being out of stock if I go down that road.
Be warned made.com customer service leaves a lot to be desired!
The whole family love the giant bean bag and the quality cannot be faulted. We were kept up to date with the delivery by text which was really helpful. The only bad point was that the polythene packaging had picked up a splodge of thick black oil from the delivery van, luckily this was spotted before it was passed onto anything else. But be aware !
The sofa is very good quality and we happy with the early delivery before xmas.
We already have one of the ame model but the sofa bed so we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed.
The only small gripe was that the first time we had a sofa delivered, they took the packaging off and put the legs on. This time they left in packaging and legs for a pregnant woman to deal with!
It would have taken to deleviery guys five minutes. Have the delivery schedules got that tight?
I love this table. I don't have a huge space for a table (since a friend moved in to the dining room three years ago for a few months!!) in my lounge so this one is perfect. It sits 4 comfortably with wine water serving dishes etc... And can accommodate 8 good friends if you serve up in the kitchen :) It looms great in my while room with white eames chairs.. I thought it would be a bit too white but I love it. Delivery was brilliant, they came on a Saturday at no extra charge and I assembled it alone in 30 mins :)
We were really pleased with the process. We have a beautiful sofa - even better than we expected - and the delivery process was smooth and hassle-free. It turned up exactly when they said it would and we are extremely happy with our great quality sofa.
Great furniture but I paid an extra ten pounds for Saturday delivery and it arrived on Friday when I was not at home and had to find someone to let the delivery man in. I am goin to ask for a refund of the ten pounds as a result.
The item I purchased - a console table - arrived in good time as advertised. Lots of text messages and emails from Mae and the delivery company to ensure smooth delivery. My husband put it together with no problem. That was when the problem arose. On of the drawer mechanisms, a single unit item was faulty. I asked for a replacement item and sent a photo. Ridiculous to repack and return the whole thing. No response. I emailed again. No response. They emailed me for feed back and I responded. No response. As there is no other way, apart form email, to contact Made the policy of not responding clearly works to justify providing no after sales policy! I am pleased wit my item, but disappointed with Made. I will be expressing my disappointment to and cautioning friends, family and work colleagues to think very carefully before buying from Made .
Zero stars (I had to click one for this review to publish!). Awful service. Nearly six months to deliver a glorified mdf box! Terrible communications. Will not use again. Makes you appreciate IKEA which is really saying something!
Before placing my order, I rung up a few times to ask questions about the product and delivery, and there was always someone helpful to talk to. My delivery arrived even earlier than estimated and the products were packaged perfectly, I really love them.
Initially requested Saturday delivery but got a call that it was turning up on Friday. Made were extremely helpful and sorted the whole thing out.
Table and chairbare amazing. Really well made and a joy to look at (chair is also incredibly comfortable). Highly reccomend
Gorgeous sofa. Makes a statement and adds glamour whilst still being comfortable and meeting our more practical needs. Delivered within the expected time but I had to remove and discard of all the packaging and fit the feet onto the sofa myself. Only when the delivery guys left did I notice the invoice instructed them to do this for me. They were keen to get out the door and Im guessing they wanted to avoid this part of the job!
We ordered a couple of beanbags from Made.com and the whole process went smoothly. A one one stage, we weren't sure about delivery time so sent an email to their customer service desk. They replied immediately with an update and the goods were delivered exactly when promised.
I would definitely use them again.
We found the service excellent from start to finish. Made let us know how the order was progressing and when to expect delivery. The men who delivered the cabinet were really helpful and took away all the packaging which was fantastic. The cabinet is of a high quality and looks more expensive than it was. We will be making more purchases soon.
I have been aware of Made for some time and as a furniture designer myself was aware of the high quality of work being sold particularly as I know some of the designers. However I would not normally buy anything without seeing it first but decided to take a chance. My main concern was all the highly negative reviews concerning delivery issues as I am very busy and cannot hang around waiting.
The experience could not have been better. Made emailed me and told me that my furniture had been despatched to the delivery company Dale who would contact me which they did and left a message suggesting a 3 hour slot . This was confirmed and they turned up on time , climbed the 3 floors without complaining , climbed another very tight staircase unwrapped it and took away the packaging. The two guys were very professional and pleasant and I can say it was one of the most reliable delivery experiences I have ever had and Made have certainly got their act together.
Love the side board I bought but several times when assembling the holes did not line up. I had to chissle out I groove that wasn't finished property and drill holes to make things fit. Overall, Pleased, but could have been better.
I ordered 8 chairs (4 grey, 4 black) and a set of hooks.
The four black ones arrived within a week or so, the four grey ones about three weeks later. They were well packed and easy to assemble. Very stylish and comfortable.
The hooks, however, were a different story - two and a half months after they were ordered i got an email to say they'd been delayed! I'd forgotten all about them! Far too late for the flat-warming present as they'd been intended. Six weeks later they arrived (- just in time to be a Christmas present), 5 months after the original order! Nice enough hooks but not sure they were worth the wait.....
I ordered a sofa on 2nd Oct and it would take 7-9 weeks to dispatch, on my order details it said it would be dispatched 25th Dec and take 10 working days for delivery. I then emailed a few days ago just to see if the sofa could be delivered any earlier (i.e before Xmas as it might be quite nice to have something to sit on?!?) The response I got was not good...of course they couldn't deliver before Xmas and now apparently there were problems in their factory where supposedly my sofa was being made and the dispatch date would now be 29th Jan plus 10 working days for delivery! That would be over 4 months waiting for a sofa!! Alas, i cancelled the order and am waiting for my refund...my first, last and only experience I will have with Made.com.
The whole process was really easy and I am very happy with my new piece of furniture. It was exactly as described and is of high quality. The perfect finishing touch to my lounge!
Where do I start with MADE.com? We ordered a matching coffee table and cupboard as a gift, which should have been delivered to us within 5 weeks, in time to give the present. They took the money from our account on the same day, we were cool with that as its the norm nowadays. However, we heard nothing from MADE.com till 2 months later after multiple emails we sent to enquire. We were informed there is a problem with our order and will take much longer. After all these emails, we agreed the items were not going to be here in time to give as a gift. We complained and were compensated with a mere £40. Have you seen the prices of most of the items on the website? Would probably buy us a pillow. We finally received our good 4 months from the date of ordering them. Believe it or not, the coffee table was scratched and the paint cover had dents. We got in contact again! We were offered more voucher £70, £40 cash back or an exchange. Funny enough we were told we could not use both vouchers in conjugation so we would have to buy two items if we decided that route. As for the exchange, we were offered a new coffee table but as they do not do that style anymore, we could pick one from their current range. Back to the beginning, we bought a matching coffee table and cupboard!!! Why MADE.com would we want to have a different coffee table. Currently, we are still waiting for a phone call as I have had enough of email conversation with MADE.com. This was requested two days ago, they may get back one day. Fingers crossed.
I wasnt in when it arrived and it was left with a neighbour, most of the packaging had split open but luckily all the parts were still there! It was really easy to assemble and looks amazing - just as I thought it would. Unfortunately it is not perfect, the edge of the coffee table has a small bump on it - caused during the manufacturing process. However I decided I would accept this.
The BERGMAN bookshelf in grey, and Bergman sideboard:
The large shelf looks good, but you should warn people about the very strong smell which I guess is from the grey lacquer? It really is overpowering and lingered in the house for several days :( It's also not easy to put together, the shelf supports and screws don't screw in easily and some of them don't look too straight initially.
For the sideboard, the instructions could be better - bit frustrating; and the doors are difficult to line up.
Look good once up, but frustrating putting them together.
Product met expectation and as good as hoped - style & quality excellent. However had to wait 4 months for it to arrive once ordered and then didn't arrive on day delivery arranged despite text / email confirmation. Left with neighbour despite this option not arranged with courier.
Exactly as the header sasy - the service from the telephone team was very good, the product has now arrived and was easy to assemble and is very good quality but it took 11 weeks (nearly 3 months !) to be delivered which is an age in this day of next day delivery. I would use Made.com again and I would even try to use them again over their competitors but the delivery times would make me stop and think....
Normally I have a dread of flat pack furniture - this piece however was well constructed and had good instructions that were easy to follow.
The piece was delayed because of shipping hold ups but Made.Com kept us updated and provided a £25 voucher for the inconvenience.
Overall I would recommend Made.com and will continue to use them.
