We ordered two dining chairs. They arrived absolutely on time, with regular updates on progress by EMail, and we are delighted with them. They are very cleverly designed, easy to put together and are really comfortable. I thonk they are excellent value for money and the service was second to none!
Made.com were a really great company to deal with. We visited their showroom in Notting Hill which was really inspiring. They had a really diverse mix of pieces, from the more traditional elegant sofas through to quirky, statement pieces. The choice of colours and fabrics were amazing - something for everyone's tastes. Everything was very reasonably priced, so much so, we ordered a sofa, chair and footstool. We have since ordered other pieces and have received money off vouchers to coax us back!! Some pieces are readily available by express delivery and we had our sofa and chair within the week. The staff were really helpful and made the whole experience a real pleasure. We will definitely be ordering from made.com in the future and have recommended it to all our friends!!
I have bought 9 items this year from Made.com - 8 being good, delivered on time - the last one 1 x Jonah 90 x 190cm Single Bed, Med Blue was not a good experience - when it came to fitting the legs to the head board and foot board, there was only one hole showing where the screw would go. I had to cut away the fabric to locate the other three holes and even then the legs did not fit well.
I have been waiting several weeks now. The first one was chipped and is still in my house. I stayed in on a Saturday for a new one to come and this one to be taken away but the wrong one was sent. I hope that tomorrow will see the arrival of an undamaged sideboard and the removal of this one but I'm not holding my breath. The trouble is that I love the item and had hoped to order further items from Made.
Really pleased with the build quality. Well packaged and gd communication from the delivery team. My only downside was...I ordered two pieces from the same range together. They came out with two separate companies. I had to be in 10-1 and 5-8pm. Was quite restrictive!
The sofa (chaise) is great but my issue is with the delivery. Made need to give an estimated delivery date not a dispatch date in the listing. Despatch was 2-3 days but it took two weeks to get to us, very misleading. That said the delivery guys were helpful and friendly. Just be more transparent about timings, it's not the first time delivery has been problematic, the rug I bought was delayed.
I brought a Bow lamp (brilliant from ordering to delivery & construction) and an Abingdon sofa set. The sofa took the 6 weeks expected to arrive which was fine but very disappointingly when we pulled off all the packaging we have ended up with two Right-hand units and no left hand one.
It now seems to be taking forever to sort out - my customer care person has gone quiet on me despite sending through photos. Come on Made.com dont let me down again - I still love your stuff.
We ordered 2 chairs in May. As we moved shortly after, we waited to put the chairs together for a couple of months. Within a week, my 15 month old son fell back in the chair and the entire back of the chair snapped off! The wood-like substance used to make the chair was so cheap it broke away from the chair and cracked. This was not a large person falling in the chair; it was a baby. Terrible quality and not a savings on price as it does not last. I would have accepted that sometimes there is a manufacturing default and accepted a nice letter, but what I got was a restatement of the returns policy (7 days) when I did not want to return anything. The person writing also completely ignored that the chair broke -- no comment on that whatsoever.
The Jack armchair is a lovely piece of furniture but when the chair was unwrapped there was a tear down the front corner so has had to be replaced, replacement was fast and I have been notified of the delivery although not of the pick up.
Great lamp which I managed to put together myself ( although a second pair of hands would have been helpful especially with the heavy marble base) and now sheds a whole lot of light on our dining experience.
The problem with shopping on line is rarely the actual goods but the difficulty in getting them delivered.
However, this is an integral part of the buying experience and as such my difficulties with this delivery means the most important component of buying -JOY -was stolen from me and cannot be compensated for.
How can I confidently buy from this company again?
This product cost quite a lot, £199, and I was not expecting it to be (albeit good quality) plywood and a flat pack which took a considerable time to assemble. Although it does look good, and I am happy with it, I think that it is slightly misleading for made.com to claim to be purveyors of fine high street furniture direct from makes. Also, the delivery got there eventually after 3 attempts and failing to take instructions which were all sent by text in response to the deliverer.
We bought a dining chair to use in our bedroom so reallyblikedcthe fact that we were getting a good price for a single chair & weren't tied into buying more.. As a first time buyer we were offered a discount, which made the item even more attractive.. Communication from them was great & changing to an alternative delivery date was easy. The chair is great, well made & just what we wanted..
The coffee table I bought arrived safe & sound and the delivery was conducted smoothly. The table sits in the living room nicely and it was a piece of cake to put it together. Many thanks!
The sofa is amazing! Taller than I thought but it looks and feels great. The delivery guys did not even try to get it to my living room. They simply stated it would not fit. I had to call movers to get it in and it certainly did. A bit disappointed with this.
First of all I have been delivered a wrong product. The new delivery was scheduled 5 weeks after; as a compensation I have been offered a 25gbp worth voucher, only. Another issue I would like to raise; the delivery team refused to bring my order to the first floor just beacuse I kindly asked them to remove their shoes [it was heavy rain outside]. Overall, poor experience.
I didn't mind waiting for the product, but sadly it is faulty and as you dont hold stock i am now stuck with a faulty lamp and another long wait for a replacement. The £25 voucher as a sorry is nice but that means i need to buy more things to use it when actually some money back off my purchase would have been a better apology.
I understand it's not made.com's fault if a manufacturer lets them down but ultimately I am buying something from made.com so they will have to take responsibility for their manufacturers taking so long. We ordered a lamp that should've arrived mid November but continually got delayed until they said it would be end of feb it would be delivered. It's a lamp at the end of the day... Not that difficult to make and it was almost 6 months from purchase that we'd get it.
Made.com was very apologetic and the customer service was great but didn't actually help at all as they couldn't make it go any faster so I cancelled the order. Such a pity as could be superb from start to finish!
What speed of delivery and packaged well.
They were better than I expected and the colour was spot on matching my kitchen perfectly.
Great product, good value for money, good service . No complaints and will buy from Made.com again !
Great craftsmanship, so therefore worth waiting 2 months for the chair. It is certainly big enough to fit two on, and cosy enough for one with cushions. The delivery was on time and the driver + 1 carried the chair into the desired room. Overall great service, and good quality.
Firstly I was surprised at the low quality nature of the bean bags that we received.
This was bad but since then I've not been able to organise to have the goods returned without first being asked to pay almost £40 and then most recently £20 and even then with no confirmation of when they'd be picked.
I do not accept having to pay to return goods of dubious quality to a company that seems to pride itself on the standards of the goods that it sells. This would certainly not happen with other quality retailers such as John Lewis and because of this experience I'm unlikely to shop with made.com again.
