I found the mailbox I wanted at Lowe's online and during check out, I saw they did not ship that item. I used the model number to do a google shopping search and found Mailboxixchange had the same mailbox for $20 less than Lowe's and they would, of course, ship the item. I got my invoice right away, got my mailbox right away, packed well - no dents, perfect. Great shopping.
Lettering was promised last week and tomorrow is Friday of this week and still haven't received. Mailbox and post are perfect just as described. Disappointed in delay of lettering
Maybe I'm used to larger online companies when it comes to ordering merchandise. Mailbox Exchange was, in my opinion, very slow in in the order processing and shipment of my mailbox. The site did not let me track the status of the order and they didn't let me know the we're shipping direct from the manufacture.Bottom line, it took six business days to finally get confirmation the order shipped and then a another 4 days to recieve it. It would have been helpful to know current stock inventory at time of ordering so tha t expectations are known up front. Make sure you plan out weeks in advance for your mail box replacement project.

Ordered a designer roadside bronze mailbox and received it today. It was everything they said it was. It is very well built and I am very happy with it, I am anxious to get it installed and start using it. I know this will do everything I am expecting and probably more, I love it!!! The service was also very fast. Thanks again.
I spent several day trying to decide what mailbox I wanted for the new column we are building and trying to match mailboxex and address plates seemd sifficult with just online pictures. I finally decoded and placed an order. The next day, I recieved email confirming my order with a question about the colors I had chosen. That made me nervouse, so I called. They were VERY helpful! I approved the order over the phone and recieved my BEAUTIDUL mailbox and plaque the very next day!
Not impressed. Order still hasn't fully arrived after SEVERAL WEEKS. I tried contacting the company but with no response. I will never order from them again. The 2 stars are for:
1. Nice-sounding customer service on the phone. They SEEMED pleasant to work with, and it is probably not their fault my order hasn't arrived.
2. The prices are very competitive.
Minus 3 stars for:
-1 Order not arriving
-2 customer service not returning my call
-3 lost money/no refund yet because of order
My mailbox showed up quickly and is VERY nice. Substantial construction, beautiful even finish. Very heavy duty and it was NOT the most expensive one on the site. LOVE it. Arrived as described and fast.
Can't wait to install it tomorrow and then I'l post a picture. We are replacing a cheap smaller box onto a post we made from left over beams from our house.
UPDATE: Here is the picture. Neighbors have commented on how much it improves the neighborhood.
I ordered the beautiful handcrafted cedar log cabin mailbox. I live in a log cabin home, so I thought it would be perfect! The mailbox was delivered on time, in excellent condition, with all the parts. I love my new mailbox and would recommend Mailboxixchange to anyone.
Needed a new mailbox ASAP, but didn't want some boring mailbox that everyone else has. Found a replacement mailbox here, and it looks way better than anyone else's in my neighborhood! It was delivered really fast, which was important since my old one was holding on by a thread after a storm. Thinking about ordering an accessory, planning on doing it here.
Our mailbox was destoryed by some kids. It was an old mailbox so it didn't take much. We didn't want to replace it with just a standard "Box Store" mailbox. We wanted something different and that would last. We found it here. We got good customer service. No issues there. We loved the new mailbox. As much as you can "love" a mailbox. It was what we were looking for at a great price. The item showed up one day before the estimated delivery date.
I ordered a mailbox. It was so large it looked ridiculous on my house. I know they tell you the measurements, but until you actually see it you have no idea.
The website said free shipping and no hassle returns. But when you return the item you pay for the original shipping plus the cost to ship it back. It cost me $26.00 for a mailbox I don't own.
I'm still searching for a mailbox but will shop locally-with better policies.
I did receive the original order very quickly-but a part was missing and it wasn't packaged very well. No bubble wrap and in a box that was thinner than a shoebox.
Because my mailbox had to be made and I had asked for an extra protective coating, delivery time was around 6 weeks. That's fine as long as I'm informed but I had to call to find out why, after 1 week I was asked to "rate" the company and after 2 - 3 weeks I hadn't heard anything on it. The company shouldn't make customers have to chase up why their order hasn't arrived. Having said that, I am very happy with the mailbox. It looks great and appears to be good quality.
I have been waiting 2 months for the mailbox I ordered with my address on it. first the excuse was that it takes 2 weeks to personalize it and 1 week to ship. Then, after I did not get it in 3 weeks, I had to contact them AGAIN, only to be told it was backordered. I waited another 2-3 weeks and again had to contact them, as no one followed up by email or phone. This time they didn't know what the problem was and said they would contact the warehouse and get back to me. Of course, no phone call or email. That was a couple of week ago. so i paid for this darn mailbox and have NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!! Based solely on the customer service, or lack there of, I would never purchase from this company again.
Thank you for your prompt delivery. We are receiving alot of compiiments. There are a few minor defects nothing major. If I bought this locally I would have exchanged for a new one. I would have rated 5 stars but not all hardware was included.
I kept checking on the order status and found nothing except for my initial purchase order on line. When I called the toll free number, a female told me that she couldn't obtain any info. because it was Friday, but would check on my status on Monday and would follow-up with an e-mail to me.
Didn't hear a thing on Monday. No call, no e-mail. I called again and spoke to another female who found an entry on their computer regarding my call on Friday, and apoligized that I wasn't notified and then sent me an e-mail.
I received the mailbox two days later and when I opened the box the top of the mailbox was damaged. It appears that it was dropped as there isa a dent and a crack on the top right hand corner (see picture).
Note: I paid extra for the fancy top!
When we ordered through the internet, the image was deceiving and since it was a custom mailbox, We were surprised how huge the mailbox was. It looks way out of proportion and am not sure I can use it without it being an eyesore. It was 3 times the size of the current mailbox. I would have appreciated it if they actually showed a picture of the different sizes at least we would have taken a closer look and would see that the large size mailbox was so much bigger than a standard one. Since it was customized with our address ,I am sure it is not returnable.
Some times it's hard to know what you're getting when you order on line. This company really comes through. The product is exactly what you see in the picture. The quality is fantastic and it arrived with in a few days of placing my order. This past order was for a neighbor that loved mine so much she asked if I would order one for her. She's older and didn't have access to a computer. She was so excited when she saw it. Take it from someone that knows. You'll be very happy with your purchase.
I had a superb experience here. The polished mailboxes I ordered were out of stock & I received a prompt email letting me know, and asking how I wished to proceed. I emailed back asking them to change my order to the brushed finish instead. In lightening fast and friendly speed they updated my order & I was holding the mailboxes two days later, shipped free! Correspondence was very friendly and very fast all via email. JOB WELL DONE! What an efficient company!
Although we are pleased with our mailbox and house numbers, we were not accustomed to such poor communication from a company about delivery. The website said our mailbox was in stock and ready for immediate delivery, but we learned that our mailbox was backordered. No one from the company told us that; we discovered the back order after we contacted the company to ask why our order was not shipped promptly. The customer service representative was prompt, efficient, and friendly, but that does not make up for the lack of communication from the company about the status of our order. We will not be ordering from this company again. Too many other companies offer similar products, and the level of customer service is the determing factor in any of purchases, online or local.
Order came within the time listed. However I was a bit confused when the post and newspaper boxes were delivered and no mailbox. There was no packing slip either. I had to recheck what I ordered. The mailbox came a couple of days later.
I ordered Ecco mailbox after texting with Kelly. She matched another on-line price and even beat it by a couple of bucks. I liked that she wouldn't lose a sale for a few dollars. Package came in the time frame that she had given me and I installed it the next day. Even my says she loves the new mailbox. I will buy here again.
I placed my order Jan. 28, and was advised a week later that the item -- a new one for their line of products -- could take 2-3 weeks to ship.
Well, here we are, a full month later -- no mailbox, and no further communication, either. I am canceling my order now, guys. In future, please DON'T state "in stock -- ships in 2-3 days" on your website if it isn't true - !
The web site says gold and silver mailboxes are in stock and ship immediately. Allow 10 days for delivery. I placed my order on 2/6/2012.
I called on 2/20/2012. The girl on the phone said she would track it down and call me back. No one called back. I called on 2/21/2012 and explained that it was now 15 days since I placed the order and she said it means 10 working days and was rather short with me. I then got an email from Amanda Card stating that it was shipped on 2/21/2012. So, It had not even been shipped..... Sorry, but there are other companies.
I am a person who will check and check again on how a company will handle questions and I check what other people say as well. This company answered questions I had without making me feel like a fool for asking it (yes there are companies that do). I ordered on a Thursday very early in the morning and by Saturday (2 days later) the Mailboxes and equipment were delivered to my door. It was all in good condition.
I would recommend this company to anyone!
There price beat all competitors including the manufacturer of the boxes.
I will never use this company again! I have gotten nothing but run around when trying to track down my order. Several times I have been told that they are tracking down my order and will be contacted. I have had to chase information, and to date, no one can tell me where my order is or when it will be shipped. The worst.
I ordered a 7 gang mailbox on 1/23/2012. The site stated the item was in stock with a shipping window is 7-10 business days, but I mistakenly thought the shipping window was 7-10 calendar days. After 7 calendar days I left an email requesting tracking information and received a response the next day stating tracking information would be sent when the item was shippped. On day 15 (business day 11) I called the customer service department, spoke with a customer service representive and was told she needed to call the manufacturer to determine why the item had not shipped. She told me she would call me back with an explaination and that was two days ago (business day 13). BTW, I verified my phone number with her to insure she had the correct number.
The order process was simple and easy to navigate. I do recommend reading through the entire product description as one area stated the mailbox was in-stock and a separate area stated an expected back-order ship date. Other than that small area of confusion, it was a simple process. We received a great quality mailbox in the time frame expected - at a great price. Very easy transaction.
