Does exactly what it says on the tin
All estate agents have positives and negatives, but ultimately Makeurmove cost me nothing and got the house rented in 3 days.

Finally a competent letting agent - what a relief!
I've had the misfortune to experience a number of different letting agents over the last 10 years.
The fist stole 8 months of rent from me and I had to take them to court.
The second didn't manage to get my property advertised in the space of a full 5 weeks, so I gave up waiting.
The third I have stuck with for one property, but frankly I have no idea why - it's money down the drain as they do nothing except hold my rent in thir bank account for 3 weeks each month for no good reason and relay messages - badly - between the tenants and me. Every time I change tenant, I am charged £250 + VAT and the tenant is charged £150 + VAT - for what?!
The fourth took 2 weeks to advertise the property, couldn't work out why it didn't display on their own website, issued the wrong contract, failed to let the tenant in on the agreed day etc etc.
So finally I gave up & decided to do it myself. Whilst searching for guidance, I came across Makeurmove and used them at first for standard documents, then for a gas check & EPC (arranged and completed in half the time of anyone else) and most recently to advertise a property and complete credit/reference checks.
The advert was easy to draft on the website in about 10 minutes.
It was authorised & on the Makeurmove website within hours.
It was on rightmove/propertyfinder/zoopla etc later the same day.
I had a text the next day with the first viewing and one the day after with the second viewing.
Within 5 days of drafting the advert, I had a new tenant ready to sign for 12 months and the credit/reference checks were completed 3 days later.
All free of charge to me and cheaper than any other agent I've used for the tenant.
I had completely lost faith in any competent letting agent existing, but so far (fingers crossed) I have been extremely impressed with Makeurmove and have already recommended them to 2 colleagues looking to rent out their properties shortly.

Really terrific...cant believe its free to landlords. You found us perfect, reputable tenants in the second set of viewings...in the past i'd just used gumtree and always had flaky tenants who fell through.

Very efficient and gets the job done quickly!
I am a landlord and have placed two sets of tenants using Makeurmove using their free advertising option where the tenants pay a fee for the referencing and credit checks etc. The adverts are constructed very easily on their website and get posted on Rightmove (amongst many other sites) almost immediately.
Within 48hrs of the first property going on the site I had 9 viewings and Let the property the following day. The second property was Let within a week.
I got Makeurmove to sort the Contracts, deposit and rent standing order so I did next to nothing. The only cost to me was £30+vat.
Will definately use again (and again).

Fantastic free service!
Used make ur move to find a tennant at no cost to myself. Fast and effective listing on rightmove ensured a quick and easy tennant find service. Not perfect but overall very pleased and would highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent, professional and friendly service
This is the first time I have used the services of Makeurmove to rent my property out, and from the outset the services has been excellent. The website is easy to use, the correspondence informative and easy to understand, the employees have all been excellent and kept me up to date all the way through the process and the services offered are all reasonably priced.

for viewings u will get a text with the proposed times for viewing, confirm or request alternate time/date, again confirmed by text. reminder text sent on the day.

Love what the company does, but don't feel the customer care is always there
Often advertise my property for let through Makeurmove. I regularly get conflicting information regarding viewing appointments by text, which I then have to clarify by phoning.
The staff can sometimes make you feel like you're a burden rather than a valued customer. I once even had a member of staff answer the phone without even giving his or the company's name. Basic phone training, in some cases, is required.
On the plus side, I love what the company does and how it works, but it just needs fine tuning.

a first class service i would highly recemmend
I registered and placed my property to let with Makeurmove on a Sunday evening, it was so easy to do.
On Monday evening I had 3 viewing appiontments and by Tuesday i had accepted an offer. The three day credit search was well worth the wait as this reflected my decision to go ahead with the letting agreement. Throughout this time Makeurmove were keeping me informed by text, phone and emails so i was in control able to follow each stage of the process.
I have already recommended Makeurmove to others and will certainly use them in the future.

I was very pleased with the response I received from advertising with makeurmove. I let my property within 2 weeks for the full asking price.
As a free landlord service I would have rated it 5 star. Although I am not so sure my tenant enjoyed shelling out such a lot for references!

i wanted a tenant for my property tried lots must admit that the let market before xmas was flat ,but when it started ti stir after xmas ,i had a few responses from make your move ,who found me a good tenant ,vetted them with credit agencies and gave me a genuine feed back,kept me updated at all times and helped if i needed it .cant thank them enough i will recommend them to any organisation ,many thanks to all the girls in the office i spoke to all very professional .. a five star rating in my books hope to deal with you inthe future

Amazing!
This was the first time we'd let out a property and we were expecting the process to be confusing, scary and complicated. The reality has been the complete opposite- Makeyourmove has made it incredibly simple, easy to understand and straight forward. Makeurmove takes the hassle out of letting!
This is a service that takes the hassle of dealing with incompetent Estate Agents and organising viewings for our property. Makeurmove customer service team were very effective when dealing with any requests and ensured that any concerns were dealt with effectively. The only issue that arose is that a few prospective tenants that arrived for viewing did not meet our original criteria, so more integration at the beginning would have left to less time being wasted.
Overall a very good service and I definitely would recommend it as your first port of call if you are looking to rent property without having to pay ridiculous estate agent fees.

excellent service for landalords
I have rented out a flat with Makeurmove, and I find theirs service very good. Since I did not want to use traditional agencies as I believe they contribute significantly in the current increase of rental prices, I have decided to give Makeurmove a go. I find their email and text appointment system very efficient and I was happy that they advertised in the major internet portals. Finding the tenants took less than two weeks and 4 viewings. Their tariffs are very competitive for landlords (I went for the free option) and fees for the tenants are below the average. The only low point is that Mokeurmove should provide some more information from the prospective tenants before the viewings.
Overall, I definitely recommend Makeurmove and I will use it again.

Excellent Service again
Hi, This is our second letting using Makeurmove and if anything the service has improved since our first experience. The property was on the web within a day of submitting details and the help and advice from the staff was brilliant. Communication was very good - they even contacted me to tell me a viewer was going to be a few minutes late. Within a couple of weeks the property was let. All in all as a Landlord I would have expected to pay a lot of money for this kind of service elsewhere and can only describe the whole experience as excellent and would not hesitate to recomend it to others. My Tenant also found the experience simple and pleasant with MuM staff again being helpful and considerate.

Invaluable service marred by glitches and human error
Makeurmove, despite its semi-literate name, is an invaluable service for landlords who would otherwise not be able to have their properties listed on RightMove because it does not allow individuals to advertise.
Makeurmove lets you write your own descriptions and submit your own photographs, which is exactly what an articulate landlord wants, but the delivery model does have serious flaws.
Instead of being an automated service that lets you submit your property details live so they appear either instantly or at least very quickly on RightMove and the rest, Makeurmove insists on approving everything first - which means that if you submit when everyone's gone home, your details will sit there overnight when they could have been published and working for you.
There was also a serious glitch in the website that meant that the 10 key features I typed in kept disappearing. That is a waste of people's time and highly frustrating. Makeurmove couldn't fix that, telling me rather unconvincingly that the website had been upgraded a week previously (obviously not very successfully) so one of its staff asked me to read him the text so he could type it in.
Apart from having to remember what I'd spent so long writing before the computer lost it three times in succession, the exercise was doomed from the start because, unknown to me, the Makeurmove operative was semi-literate but was either unaware of it or chose not to point it out.
So I was horrifed when my Rightmove listing featured a house in "a quite friendly neighbourhood" instead of "a quiet, friendly neighbourhood".
I complained, but Makeurmove initially wouldn't accept that there was a difference, which worried me even more.
Once the errors were sorted, and Makeurmove gave me an enhanced listing by way of compensation, things went smoothly and I let the property within days.
It is a service worth using, but only once the issues raised here are addressed.

Excellent! Great Service, Price & Choice
This has got to be the future of self service online letting agencies. You're provided with choice of 'tenant find' service options, a FREE one where the tenant pays and you receive formal references, or an advertising/marketing option where you pay and do the references yourself. All the other landlord services you could ever need to run your own property business can also be selected, referencing, EPC, GasSafe, even property management. The use of technology was very impressive, to book appointments and viewings. Pick&Mix your level of service and save yourself £hundreds!
