I had used mandmdirect a couple of times in the past but I happened to check my bank account over Christmas and they had taken money from my bank account. i hadn't ordered anything in months. i contacted them and they refunded it but said they couldn't give an explanation - just not a good enough response for such a breech of trust!
I've used them several times, but now I've had it. They have some varying but there is good stuff in between and nice prices, but you better pray everything works out perfect the first time. I have never personally experienced or heard of other who had any issues fixed by that "customer service" (they really should rename that). If something fails - deal with it yourself. it your loss.
I've had the wrong sizes shipped and recieved quite a few products that I expected to be of way better quality (dont ever buy Police).
The thing that pushes me over the edge is this last shipment with a faulty item out of the box. I have to pay for that to be fixed... If the item was flawless and I just wanted to return it - then fair enough, but they send a broken item and thats on me ..! And ofc now their customer service dont respond.
I placed an order and entered my work details for delivery (rather than billing address) however the confirmation displayed my billing address, which I no longer live at. I contacted MandM immediately to have this fixed and they refused to do anything to help or refund the extra price for next day delivery (considering I have to now drive an hour to pick this up on a weekend). Poor form.
I used mandm direct for some puma trainers, even AFTER reading some of the reviews on this site, so in all honesty I was expecting something to go wrong. However, my order arrived within 3 days, I was kept informed all the way through and was very impressed. I will definately use them again and the trainers are great and were £25 less than anywhere else, cheers
Placed a large order, they decided to cancel it as apparently there was a problem with the details even though I have made many orders before. Rang them up to query the problem, they put it back through and over half the items were now out of stock.
I ordered a pair of hunters on the Monday that was a week before Christmas wih next day delivery (promised to be there by Wednesday 19th) it came to Wednesday and still no sign so I have them a call, they were very polite and friendly and promised me they would get them expressed delivered and that they would 100% be there by Christmas.. What a guess, they never arrived in time for Christmas. We rung them on Christmas Eve and they said that the person I had spoke to had only made a note on delivering the item and had not actually reposted them.. I am very disappointed
I ordered clothes for my 1st ski holiday in 5 years, mainly stuff for my 4 year old, and ordered THREE WEEKS before departure as the site states '3-5 working days for delivery'. 4 days before departure and still no stuff, I started emailing and phoning. What a waste of my time, money and energy. There is NO COMMUNICATION within the company, staff are seemingly not trained and totally incompetent. To cut a LONG story short, I am now on my ski trip with no ski clothes and a sobbing 4 year old. To make matters worse, I requested a full refund several times but to no avail, so now they email me to say that my parcel in untraceable but they have sent a replacement!!! Are they mad? They could have refunded me but instead chose to send another parcel which will arrive long after I get home. This shows that they do not give any concern to their customers and have no communication, nor do they read their emails properly. I guess you get what you pay for, and in this case, cheap goods and a cheap company.
I was a little concerned given the polarity of the reports on TrustPilot. I ordered a selection of men and women's wear at very good price and the order was complete and delivered very speedily. The only thing I will mention, which is as much my mistake as their system, is that I had deleted several items as I was going along from my cart, and these were included and charged on the final order. No doubt had I have checked properly at the final stages I could have amended the order. Given the amazing savings they were at I am not too distressed! From the feedback it seems the firm is good as long as there are no issues.
Made a mistake and ordered twice of the same, asked them almost straight away afterwards to change it or change the quantity but they wouldnt, hiding behind a "A very efficient Warehouse Management System".
What seemed to be a bargain buy of 2 pairs of boots turned out to be little less than some kind of scam! After supplying all the required details I purchased 2 pairs boots with next day delivery online at MandM direct or so I thought. I received a confirmation e-mail and then about an hour later I received an e-mail saying my order could not be processed because of a problem with my card details :-

Unfortunately, your order is currently on hold as we have a query with the card holder’s details. In order for us to process your order, we need to ensure that the address details we have are correct.
Could you please email our Card Services team on email@example.com and confirm the following details:
The card holder’s full name The card holder’s date of birth The address to where the payment card is registered (billing address) Your chosen delivery address (if different to above) If moved within the past 12 months please can you supply your old billing address

Firstly, the link to customer services does not work. second, when I run my mouse over the link I see this: " mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org?subject=Out%20of%20stock "
Thirdly, The phone number given to call them on is a 10p per min rate. Having no option but to call this number, I was told that my card details were incorrect and asked for my date of birth. I had already supplied all these details correctly when joining mandm and pointed out that I had just made several more purchases on-line with the same card with no problem at all. I was then told that one of the items was out of stock, would I still like the other item? I refused and asked for my whole order to be cancelled. I consider this dis-honest. Since this has happened I have been bombarded with junk e-mails which I have not solicited in any way and always carefully avoid ticking or un-ticking relevant boxes for. I assume that mandm have sold on my details against my wishes.
I will not be using Mandmdirect again and would not advise anyone else to either.
Using the returns label and collect+ service I returned items back for a exchange, so I sent them off and tracked it on-line, it said they were delivered by the 6th November 2012 1300hrs, as of today 14th November 2012 the staff at MandM direct have no record of this parcel and are unable to find the items I have returned!
I'm sick of this company this has happened too many times due to being sold items which are of poor quality or faulty!!
I will not use again and I recommend anyone thinking of using them if you're not sure on the size and may have to return to avoid this company!!!!!!!!!
Ordered a pair of shoes for school on a Friday with guaranteed next day delivery, knowing they would come Monday. Monday came and went. Tracked the parcel and it said delivery was between 5:10 and 6:10. It said it had been returned to the depot at 5:11. Obviously the van driver couldn't be bothered. Rang m and m spoke to someone who guaranteed they would be delivered Tuesday. Tuesday came and went - guess what no shoes. Tracked the parcel, even at 11:00pm it was still out for delivery. Was there still a little hope that within the remaining hour of Tuesday it could still be delivered - nope. Rang m and m spoke to some 'boy' who really couldn't be of any use, then spoke to supervisor who said she would ring back first thing Wednesday with some answers ...... You've guessed it - no phone call and no shoes. I won't be ordering from here again. Not only have I so far wasted 3 days of my life waiting for the parcel but my Son keeps getting detention for not wearing the right shoes. SHAME ON YOU M AND M!!!
Dreadful. I was all set to buy shoes from this company, but when I saw that they charge £1.49 for returns labels (and no option not to have this included...) I was scandalized! How on earth do they get away with treating customers like this?! Well, I didn't buy from the company - and I never will.
Just a quick review to say always had quick delivery from them and found the communication always speedy and informative as to order recieved and despatched info etc.
For the first time last week i had to return a jacket that was to small for my son. I hadn't paid for the pre-paid returns label so had to bear the cost of return myself but i didn't mind this as it was my choice to not pre-pay. Any how i recieved e-mails to tell me return was recieved then again when return was despatched out to myself which was great customer service i thought. The exchange took less than a week in total so once again very happy with mandm.
Only used them twice and both occasions they where very good. Bought my daughter a Helly Hanson jacket over 12 months ago and have just bought my self a pair of Firetrap shoes last week. Both items arrived quickly and both where at a fantastic price. As above just try them.
MandMdirect decided to cancel my order as my billing and delivery addresses we different (yes, some people have more than one house). They did not bother to ring/email me, just cancelled it. It was only when I rung them to chase my order I was told that my bank was holding my payment (what a rubbish- from my bank balance I could see that they had authorised the payment) and that they texted, emailed me and even sent me a paper letter regarding it. What a lie. Just a bunch of brainless muppets. Spend your money somewhere else.
