I RECENTLY BOUGHT AN ELECTRIC GUITAR AND AMPLIFIER FROM MANNS MUSIC,I HAVE AN ACOUSTIC WHICH I BOUGHT FROM MANNS ABOUTA YEAR AGO.THE PRODUCTS ARE FIRST RATE,I'M FAIRLY NEW TO THIS BUT LUCKILY HAVE A FRIEND WHO GIVES ME SOME ADVICE.HOWEVER THE KNOWLEDGE AND ADVICE YOU GET FROM MANNS IS EXCELLENT-IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO BE SOLD SOMETHING EXPENSIVE YOU DON'T NEED.THEY ASK WHAT YOU WANT TO DO EVENTUALLY,AND WHERE YOU ARE NOW AND REALLY MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE THE RIGHT PRODUCT FOR YOU.THERE ARE ALL SORTS OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE SHOP,I FEEL LIKE A CHILD IN A SWEETSHOP! BUT GENUINELY EXCELLENT,I WILL ALWAYS GO TO MANNS AS A FIRST CHOICE,DOWN TO TRUST.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great service.... at a great price
The service at Manns Music was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful. They went through all the settings on my amp and gave me a guitar I was used to playing. They were much better than the other music shop I went to, where they only gave me a 5 stringed guitarto play with. All in all, Manns Music is an excellent place to go where all the people are friendly and ready to help. :)

Great knowledge of instruments and very helpfull.
We visited the shop to buy a ukulele for my son. The assistant explained the differences between all of their range and played all of them for us.......over and over as we could not make up our minds! Very helpfull and a pleasure to deal with, would recommend them to anyone.

Fair pricing, good stock and friendly staff
I bought a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom from Mann's here in Colchester. Lovely guitar and all that, but I guess the store is in focus here. The stock, mainly Fender guitars (which I have absolutely no problem with; I'm a Fender kinda guy), is quite varied. Sure, there are things you won't find in the store, but there's the online store too!
Anyway, I just asked if I could try some guitars, and was led down a flight of stairs to a place I could plug in and give it a spin. They didn't ask "are you going to buy it?" or anything like that in advance, which I have experienced with certain music stores, no. They just handed me the axe, setup the amp, and gave me a smile and a green light to go!
With the purchase I also got a free gigbag, and a free set of strings!
The main point, I feel, is the staff. They seemed to both know very well, and loved, what they were doing. They managed to appear very casual and friendly, while still maintaining an air of professionalism. The can only think of one other music store I've been to in England with a staff nearly that good, so props to them!

Superb customer service
Initially there was a bit of confusion after I ordered a digital piano that was showing as being one in stock. I received a call from the Managing Director saying that unfortunately someone had been waiting for one for a while and that instrument should've been reserved. However, because of this I was offered a better model of the paino at the same price, and although it took a month to arrive (manufacurer problem- it was shipped to me the day it arrived with Mann's music) it has been well worth the wait.
Throughout the process I was treated with politeness and received very quick responses to any questions or queries, and I now have a superior digital piano to the one I ordered!

Ordered a Fender Mustang 2 amp from Mann's Music, the website was easy to navigate and had all the information I needed about the product I was after.
I received the item in good time and in pristine condition, I was always kept notified at all times as to what was going on with my order.
One small problem, my amp came with the incorrect power supply. Not a fault of Mann's but the Fender european warehouse, who have mixed up power supplies with European models. No issue though, after a quick email and reply (from the MD no less!) the correct plug was sent free of charge with no hassle and received the next day.
Fantastic service. Would use again. Many thanks!

I needed to buy 4 guitar tutor books and spent a lot of time looking for someone who had them all in stock. Manns Music was the only place I could find and they were also offering all 4 titles at some of the best prices around!
Ortdered over the weekend, they were dispatched on the Monday and through my letterbox by Wednesday morning.
All-in-all, a very good retailer who is now added to my favorites!
