After looking around online I was pleased to find the best deal was from my local music shop. Great service from the staff who delivered the piano personally as soon as it was available. Manns Music is easy to recommend.
I first phoned inquiring about hiring a saxophone so I was told the terms/opions and how i went about hiring one, Cathy was really helpful within 2 days I was in the shop picking up my saxophone.
Since then I found a teacher from the web-site and at this point I have had lessons and I am really enjoying it, I have been back in the shop since and bought some more accessories for it, and extra Reeds and I already have my eye on a Sax for when the 20 months are up when I can use my voucher to put towards a new Sax.

I went into the shop with my shy 17 year old son. I had wanted him to develop from his acoustic classical Spanish range of playing for sometime. A very knowlegable and talented young salesman was playing around with an electric guitar. The inspiration and following gentle dialogue resulted in a great purchase and we are now exploring the potential of the new instrument. You couldn't want for a better service.
I went in to look at piano stools. Whilst initially thinking these seemed quite expensive, I researched via the internet and accepting that there was a small premium to pay by buying from the shop, I went back to the shop whereby the member of staff remembered us and went out of his way to assist.
The £ 5 we paid above internet prices was well worth it!
I recently purchased the "Paragon LP80 Guitar,a padded case ,a Guitar bag (for Spanish guitar and a ne Guitar strap. All items were delivered promptly and in excellent condition. I am very pleased with the Guitar and it rate extremely highly. I would definately recommend Manns Music to other customers and would use them for my next purchase.
Manns Music sent the wrong guitar - I asked for natural and they sent a black guitar. I believe this was a genuine mistake. Once told of the problem they immediately asked I would return the guitar and they would pay the postage costs from Italy. Returning the guitar would be a hassle, specially taking into account the return cost at 64 euros. I decide therefore to keep the black guitar and they offered a discount for the trouble caused, which I accepted. The Managing Director dealt with the whole affair within 30 minutes.
I recently had occassion to buy from the shop as well as having bought on line on a number of occassions. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to discuss the ukulele I was buying in terms of pros and cons. The internet has always been quick and efficient to buy from. The shop demonstrated that the staff enjoyed their products and were interested in talking to their customers.
I have since read the comments by one user who was a first timer. I know how he feels about going into music shops and the 'experts' acting with distain. I can only say that was not my experience and I am sure if the manager is present he would give all assistance that he can; he certainly seemed an approachable and helpful person at the time I went in.
I have never had a problem when dealing with Mann's. There is respect for the customer at all levels in the store. Queries are dealt with efficiently and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
