Sorry about that. We didn't actually say it was in stock in the first place and we don't have a warehouse, we are a yacht chandlers who operate from a couple of shops! Our stock system showed a product we didn't have, so we had to order replacements but the distributor was awaiting their delivery hence the delay. We did keep you informed of the problems and you chose to cancel the order. What else could we have done? One star is a touch harsh.

Ten day's isn't too bad!! We are not a huge company, we are a small specialist company. Sometimes we run out of stuff and sometimes things go wrong but generally speaking we don't do too bad!!

Hands up to this one, we normally do ship this sort of product within two days but we did have a few problems with staff illness which slowed out processing down. There are not a lot of us and sometimes we do hit exceptional problems which can cause problems. Apologies for the delay I sincerely hope that it didn't inconvenience you too much.

Don't know what went wrong with this, no one else has reported problems with account creations. I think the problem started because the first order was created without a store account being created which means that our system doesn't retain your details. This could conceivably cause a problem like this.

You shouldn't have had to stay at home at all. We send emails confirming details, any delays and shipping as they happen. Perhaps you have an over enthusiastic spam filter? The other point we'd like to make clear is that the carriers we use do not charge for redelivery and you can also choose a different delivery address to the invoice address so we can send parcels to work or friends houses.

I think the key to this problem is delivery costs. The £20 choice would have been sent by Fedex (or DHL) and would have reached you at most within 48 hours from the next working day, for France it is usually within 24 hours unless the address is in the middle of nowhere. The cheaper Royal Mail delivery is parcel post (they can only offer 1st class in the UK)and parcel post abroad can take anything up to four weeks to arrive. I am sorry you feel aggrieved by the delay vs cost issue but shipping product abroad for prompt delivery is expensive and we do not profit from it.
