I reported Matching Bedrooms.com to Watchdog!
Terrible, terrible company. I also bought a mattress via Grupon, received a call last week about an appraent delivery the next day. My partner took a day off work to wait for the delivery...nothing! The 4-digit tracking number didn't help as the courier has 8-digit tracking numbers! Awful company! No telephone number, emails are being ignored.
Like so many of the reviews here, we also ordered our mattress through Groupon's promotion and matchingbedrooms.com failed to complete the order placed October 20th.
In our case, we gave up hope of a delivery on December 12th, 2011 and requested a refund. This was the only time that we received any correspondence from either company despite repeated requests for an update on the order.
As of today (January 14th, 2012), we are yet to receive a refund from either company. We are looking to escalate this with Trading Standards and with Citzens Advice Bureau. I would advise anyone else to consider what course of action is appropriate to their case.
Not even worth a rating. I ordered 2 mattresses in October via Groupon voucher costing £300. Alarm bells began to ring when I was charged for delivery without the items being dispatched. I have emailed both Groupon and MB asking for a refund on the grounds that the terms of the sale have been broken ie 2-4 week delivery. Still waiting on a satisfactory response.
I ordered mattress groupon offer in Oct, contstant emails no reply, phone never answer, in dec they did anser and they said they were overwhelmed with groupon offer. Basically they could not cope.
they said my order will arrive on 21 dec, but it did not and again no response from email
i emailed groupon who does not seem to care either, how can they market such bad company.
finally it did arrive without notice 1st week on dec.
lesson to lear, each group order do a search for reviews
it seems group dont research their companies.

I too ordered through the Groupon deal and had nuerous issues with delivery times. When finally delivered in a rolled up state I found a small hole which was dealt with swiftly as a partial refund HOWEVER after a few weeks use of the matterss it is now sagging (compressed springs ?) just like you get with a OLD mattress not a new one ... so now waiting on their customer services to advise the way forward for a refund. I have also advised groupon of this site and the facebook page which customers are venting their fury on
I almost never write a review like this but feel compelled on this occasion to warn people away from this company.
Like so many others on here, I paid my money up front for a mattress using the Groupon voucher (last Oct) and have still not received my goods. They replied once saying that I should expect delivery before Christmas but are now not responding to my emails.
These are con-men acting fraudulently. I am reporting them to the Office of Fair Trading and have also asked my lawyer to get involved.

didn't check til the 14th december when i found there's a spring sticking up on the top of mattress.
e-mail them on the 15th december, and five other e-mail sence,

I also paid for my vouchers on 22nd October and received nothing until this week after numerous emails to both Groupon & matchingbedrooms. On the final email I requested interest on my money as they had had it so long. Lo and behold the mattresses arrived yesterday - to the wrong address initially. There is no way these mattresses are worth what they claim and what made it worse is they arrived rolled up! Every decent mattress provider would know NEVER to roll or fold a pocket sprung mattress as it damages the interior.
I will never use Groupon or matchingbedrooms again.
I like all others below ordered a king size mattress with the groupon voucher.
Both matching bedrooms and Groupon failed to answer my Emails and answer the phone. When I did get through to them, I was promised 2 Delivery dates that I waited in for, and frustratingly did not arrive.
The order was made on 24/10/11 (over 10 weeks ago now and the latest delivery promise 03/01/12 has still not materialised.)
I have now cancelled my order and requested a full refund which will hopefully not take 3 months to arrive.

This is a 2 bit, shambolic company that could not organise a p*** up in a brewery.
With a bit of luck they will go bust and save a lot of people, money, time and frustration.
Ordered 27th October 2011. Same as all the others on here, they have ignored several emails and phonecalls and still no mattress. Think I'll be doing the same as the person up above and sending recorded delivery letter for a full refund. Terrible. Do not use them. Will be my last use of Groupon too.
I redeem a voucher on the 25 October and to date still haven't recieved the item dispite contact with both rubbish company groupon and matching bed. I am very very disappointed with Groupon. I will be taking the matter further.
I note there are a few of you whom have used Groupon vouchers to order mattresses from matching bedrooms. I was in a similar situation until this morning. I ordered the mattress via their website using the voucher and did not receive confirmation email of delivery date . Like others I have spent the last two months chasing them via email and had extreme difficulty contacting them via phone which they did not pick up. I ordered mattress back in Oct 2011. I decided yesterday enough was enough and decided to take legal action against them. I phoned trading standards who gave me the number of their consumer dept and he explained all I needed to do was to write a letter and send this via recorded delivery and state that under the distance selling act 2000 it states that delivery must take place within 30 days. As a result they were in breach and the contract now is null, void and terminated. I asked for a full refund including costs to me made within 30 days. I decided to email a copy of this to both Groupon and Matching bedrooms. Originals were posted by recorded delivery yesterday. Surprisingly, This morning my mattress turned up at 8.45 am. however I am yet to check the item for it's quality and whether it is fit for it's purpose . Claiming it's a mattress worth in region of £500 which I paid £159. So folks I will let you know what the outcome is otherwise they will be hearing from me again !! Just shows, it pays to send companies legal letters as a wake call . Hope this is of some help for those still waiting on goods to be delivered. I won't be using them anymore as company are a complete sham with no customer service!

I ordered a new mattress through a Group On voucher in October 2011 like a few other on here and i am still waiting on delivery! My bro broke his ankle/leg and was getting out of hospital from surgery so this mattress was for him moving back home.
Despite numerous calls and emails to both Group On and the company itself i am still getting nowhere!
Does anyone know if you can request a refund through Group On?
- Ordered 2x mattresses via Groupon on 20 Oct 2011.
- No confirmation email sent from Matching Bedrooms.
- Contacted Matching Bedrooms on 24th and 25th Oct 2011 after getting their phone number from Groupon customer Services. Promised I would receive an email with delivery date that week. Nothing received.

- Spent last 2 hours calling Matching Bedrooms but they are not picking up the phone, even though it was previously 'engaged'.

Totally useless company. Wish I had never bothered with them! Sadly not able to give a minus or zero Star rating. They definitely deserve a -2 Rating.
I bought some products via Groupon vouchers, as some other people did, rubbish quality for a £60 Luxury Duvet, returned it immediately and its been over 2 months ago and never got a refund.
Also added to my order few other things which i never got but i was charged!!!
No customer service, never reply to emails, no phone number, Rang Groupon and even them didnt have a contact telephone no. Unacceptable!

Ordered 3 quilts with groupon vouchers on 24th September, took matchinbedrooms.com over 2 weeks to deliver.Quality of quilts a disgrace, advertised as "LUXURY", they certainly aren't. No telephone number or address on website (highly suspicious). Emailed this company numerous times to uplift their inferior goods. I'm still waiting. Groupon not interested either. Both companies have shocking after sales care and customer services. Would Never recommend these companies to anyone.
HAD TO RATE THIS COMPANY 1 STAR BECAUSE YOU WOULD'T LET ME DO A BIG ZERO STAR, WHICH IT DESERVES......

ordered 2 allergy quilts as per groupon offer delivery within 4 days paid for immediately, 2 week later no quilts contacted customer services via email no replies no phone number to ring them groupon wont do anything for another 7 days what a joke keep your money and shop elsewhere would never use this company again disgraceful

My wife placed an order for a child's duvet and a cover. We were sent the duvet only with no paperwork and the company won't reply to our emails. Strangely enough there is no address or phone number on their website. Deeply suspicious behaviour.
