Ordered three items only one arrived. Filled in their contact form to find out about the other two, no answer. Phoned next day "Too late to check on it today will get back to you tomorrow" didn't email or call back. After weekend called again "Will get back to you by email or call" still waiting. The items were in stock over the period & still are.. Tried to log into my account on their site today & it's been deleted. This is easily the worst company I've used online.
My experience with this company was very stressful. 1st T.V devoloped a fault within 2 weeks. 2nd T.V blew at instalation stage. The courier they use are NOT customer focussed and did not pick up on x2 agreed dates........Total nightmare! Micom might be cheaper in monetary terms however no compensation for "wasted days off" "numerous frustrating phone calls" "pass the buck blame". Refund was finally gratefully recieved!
Ordered a 5188-7102 mother board for an ailing HP Pavilion s3130.uk, they were £35 cheaper than the recommended HP motherboard distributor. Got it next to no time, fitted her, booted her up and she worked first time. One well happy bunny.
The service I recieved from Micom really was terrible.
I ordered a display adapter. After waiting about a week for it to arrive, it turned out to be incompatible with my system. I followed Micom's returns process and sent it back to them, with their completed returns form.
I heard nothing for 3 weeks. Then, a courier tried to deliver the unit back to me. I refused the delivery, and called Micom to find out why they hadn't yet processed the refund. They told me that it would be processed within 2 days.
Another 2 weeks went by. I called them again. This time they said that my payment would be refunded on the day of my call. Will it be? Who knows. But I won't be shopping with them again.
My company paid for a day delivery service for a modem. After almost a week of frustrating communications the modem arrived and we could at last use the internet. Now awaiting a refund for the delivery and after 5 attempts with promises to call us back, we have received no contact or refund.
Ordered a digital voice recorder via micomonline.co.uk with next day delivery as pressed for time on business. Was meant to arrive Friday, called back Monday with item undelivered.
It seemed there were only few people working on the hotline as every call took 3-4 minutes to connect and people seemed on a first name basis.
A customer service advisor 'Frasier' was helpful but his manager rude and another colleague told me I would just have to wait for it and laughed down the phone as I said that wasn't good enough.
Was told the courier service was at fault and item wasn't trackable as they were given a non-working tracking number. Called the courier company myself and found out the item was not available hence not collected and delivered yet.
Only saving grace is that Frasier agreed for a full refund without quibble. We'll see if that one arrives without reclaiming from credit card company.
The company I work for spends thousands a year on electronics and was excited about the price offers. Evaluation: Not worth it! They've just lost out on a lot of business.
