I have a G5620SC dishwasher - it really is a great dishwasher....quiet and never let me down. The sliding cutlery tray has broken which is really annoying as it keeps dropping down. All I need is the yellow slider to be replaced and I can fit it myself. The trouble is I rang customer services and after three attempts could not get through at all. Each time after approximately 13 minutes on hold, the crackled music stops and the phone just goes dead. When you pay over a thousand pounds for a dishwasher that has a 10 year guarantee I expect better service than this. I don't want a technician, just a little part that I am prepared to fit myself.........but I can't even get through to customer services! But I have listened to numerous recordings of "your call is very important to us" Mmmm is it Miele?
I recently bought 9 miele appliances including the new cva6431 nespresso coffee machine based on using the previous model as this one was not yet in the showroom but i was advised to purchase the new model. i called customer services ( after holding on for 20 minutes which I discovered is the average) as it did not make hot espresso or cappuccinos and kept switching off. The first very pleasant technician arrived and said it was a incorrectly set timer which resolved the the switching off. However, the first two espressos vary from around 42 degrees and 52 meaning I have to waste at least the first espresso pod and at this temperature the coffee is acidic as it is well below proper cooking temperature. If you use the longer coffee the second cup is around 60-62 degrees. The frother does not make the milk very hot and only produces around 1 Tbsp of froth. I called again (another 20 minutes) and another very obnoxious technician arrived and claimed as I had not provided him with parking he would leave despite the paid parking bays near my house. Another 20 minute call to Miele and various calls to the seller. They sent the same unpleasant character who, without tasting the coffee and only using water in the frother declared it to be working correctly. Online it states a good cappuccino is between 83-93 degrees but I've yet to get one above 62 so I have to microwave it. Another call ( 20 minutes) to Miele who, this time sent a very pleasant and competent technician who unfortunately does not drink coffee. He checked it again and after several cups of coffee determined that the water on a long( a setting on coffee machine) as he did not test the espresso setting emerges at 70 degrees meaning that once you've put your milk and or sugar the coffee is hot tap temperature of 60 odd degrees. Howver unlike the previous model this model cannot have the temperature adjusted and as far as Miele are concerned that acidic ( as it is if not cooked at the correct temperature) coffee is fine with them and that is that. The technician promised to replace the frothy milk container but after several weeks this has not arrived. So as long as it comes out the dispenser after 3-4 coffees are made Miele could not care less that this machine cannot make a decent espresso, coffee ( long setting) or cappuccino!
So if you want to waste your coffee pods, drink acidic tepid coffee and deal with a service mentality that does not consider the drink ability of their products output - choose Miele.
Washing machine broken down after 4 years 10 months, Service technician due to call on Saturday 14/12/13. Hope he is better than the customer service desk. Service guy was excellent, changed the motor in 45 minutes Now tried to invoice me for £400 back to 2 stars for incompetence
This was rectified awhile ago and as I have just signed up to Trustpilot I definitely thought they deserve a review. My vacuum motor broke and it was out of warrantee. I called them they were so nice and helpful, they took it away replaced the motor and also gave me a red travel bag which is really handy for storing it and also replaced the main vacuum attachment and brush head all free of charge. I am sticking with Miele and have now convinced my mum and mother in law that they should upgrade to them to. Pleased is not the word
A real pleasure to do business with and frankly nothing is too much trouble for them; not only is the product 5 Star, but so is the customer support and service at every level. Their delivery company was also most impressive and kept their word on delivery times perfectly.
Frankly speaking I would not go anywhere else for 'white goods'; Miele is way out in front and the dedication of the staff at the London Showroom is genuinely impressive.
Seven years ago I bought a Hoover. The worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased but paid a lot for it so had to make do. I cringed every time I had to vacuum and always ended up kicking the damn thing and being in a bad mood as well as exhausted from heaving the thing around. Eventually I bit the bullet and bought a new vacuum from Miele, again just about the most expensive one out there ( as the hoover had been) but what a difference. It is a joy to hoover, practically pulls itself along, and has an amazing ball joint type system which makes it so easy to steer. I also bought a ten year parts and labour warranty with Miele for £30 which also includes covering the call out fees. Iwould certainly look at Miele products again before anything else. Anyone want a redundant and useless Hoover cat & dog?!
I have a 7 yr old Miele vacuum and a 5 year old Miele washing machine. Although they were in the higher price range of available products, both are still working as well as the day they were purchased. The products are well designed and exceptionally well built, backed up with a brilliant guarantee, 10 years on the washing machine. I would definitely recommend their products and you definitely get what you pay for, and some. The website is professional and gives you a great choice of ideas. I have not bought from this website but have used it to look for what I want before buying from a local supplier or other online UK based site.
