Absolutely pathetic company.

I have purchased twice from this shambolic company. First order delivered minus main item. Waited and waited for refund. Nothing. Finally rang customer services who basically couldn't give a stuff. Eventually refund.
2nd order sent boys hoody (10y/11y) instead of mans gilet xl. Emailed..nothing. Finally after several emails got return label. Sent hoody back. 10 days and counting and still no refund. FYI Gilet was never available for sale! I have now raised a claim with Paypal.
Absolutely dreadful company.

Terrible customer service

I have ordered several times from Millet Sports. When they have the product in stock it generally comes quickly. However, if they get the order wrong (at least 50% of the time in my experience) then you have a big problem. Their customer service is terrible, staffed with inexperienced jobsworths working 9-5 who are unable to see the full order history. They apologise but simply say it wasnt their fault, blame the returns department but don't offer any help or customer service to resolve the issue, save for sending it in again. I guess there had to be a reason why they were cheaper than other places.

Excellent Service

I purchased the Garmin 62s from Millet Sports ordered thursday and received it the following week which was well within the 7days quoted, The item was well packaged and a full tracking service was provided,I have to give 5stars for this review could not fault at all many thanks.

One of the worst online retailers

Placed an order on 8th Jan, didn't receive it after 5 days and gave them a call. Even though the site showed the item in stock, it wasn't, and had to be ordered in. Millet Sports website says delivery within 3-5 days. Order was dispatched on the 14th and the email notification said delivery between 4-10 days. It is now 31 Jan and no delivery. Several emails exchanges with Millet Sports ‘customer service’ shows them to be unsympathetic and will not investigate until Feb 12th. Online tracking shows package in transit from Sweden! Give directrunning.co.uk a go, excellent delivery and service.

The worst company to deal with.

I have ordered an item from the website of 16th Jan 2014. The item was in stock and when I read the delivery process is called 3-5 days. Now is been passed 7 working days and I still haven't received either tracking number and pair of shoes. They don't responded for emails and now match website information. I do recommended to not deal with that company unless you would like to loss your nerves.

Excellent delivery service, goods as ordered.

I ordered a simple product - 25 tubes of shuttlecocks. Can't go far wrong with that and they didn't. However, I was most impressed with their delivery service. I was kept fully informed by texts and emails of the delivery status - on the day it was due I was informed of the delivery time in a one hour range. Delivery was on time. It also arrived in less than 2 working days rather than the 3 advertised. Yes, very satisfied.

I purchased on the 22/11/13 a pair of your Craghopper Kiwi Woman's Winter Lined Trousers in the Coca colour size 16 LONG Size from Amazon.

They proved too large and I completed the Amazon administration to have them replaced with the Size16 REGULAR. Strangely, as the paper work was definitely Amazon, they arrived from yourselves. But they too, were too large. So, in communication with your colleague XXXXX we made arrangements for the same trouser in the Size16 SHORT to be dispatched. I also mentioned to XXXXX how inordinately large, each size type was.

This exchange was confirmed, with no confusion, as I went into great length about having to pay return postage costs, when the order originated from Amazon.XXXXX then generated the return postage paid label, suggesting though, that I should send by recorded post, but again, I objected to having extra costs for this method. In the event, my local post office (XXXXXXX Renfrewshire} would NOT accept the parcel for Recorded or Special Post, with it's non validated pre-paid label.

However, the replacement trousers never arrived and on communicating this morning with XXXXXX in sales, I was informed that size was not stocked. I of course, spoke to XXXXX, who said at the time of speaking to me, she was not sure if the Size 16 SHORT was available.That was quite different to what was said seven days ago. But no phone call or email, to let me know. I Think Mr XXXXXX, that would be referred to as Poor Customer Service, with customer left hanging on.

But my main concern and I would like it explained, is why my original Amazon order, returned via their own administration, should somehow end up in you company's order book, to which you charge return postage that does not include insurance cover for possible loss or damage to the contents.

And disappointingly, NO Craghopper trousers at all, for up here in Scotland!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING TACTICS

This company advertises promotional products at discounted prices that they don't have in stock.

I placed an order which they accepted payment for only to be told the product they were promoting with 50% discount wasn't actually available. They offered me alternative products that were half the Recommended Retail Price of what i had ordered.

I contacted the citizens advice bureau and they told me that this activity is know as bait advertising, its considered to fraudulent is illegal and banned under Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (2008).

They advised me that i should report the company to trading standards and the office off fair trading for them to investigate further.

When I told there customer services representative this they could not have cared less and told me to go ahead and report them!!!!

Avoid at all costs; if somethings to good to be true it usually is;

Terrible delivery times & stock is WRONG (Sold but not in stock)

I placed an order on Friday and on Wednesday the order was still showing as "Processing". When I rang up customer service I got told it's going to take another week for the shoes as they don't even have them in stock!

If it wasn't for the fact I'm saving over £20, I'd have definitely cancelled the order.

P.s. don't use their 0845 number, use 020 8732 7340 instead.

Will use again

Had a faulty pair of shoes needed sending back, after a few hoops jumped through I spoke to a manager that was more than willing to help and he was polite, he sorted my issue within 24 hours so i'll give them 5 stars as being a trusted company that does have the resources to sort any issues out if the 1st line in customer service doesn't work correctly.

Ordered 2 trainers for gym, one not instock so others didnt get sent either, waiting for stock on a item that didnt say it wasnt in stock.

I dont order from shops that dont have stock check active on there website because of issues like i have now so this will be my 1st and last tme i order from milletsports.

Disappointing service - sold an item not in stock.

I bought a pair of walking boots from milletsports and a few days later I logged on to the website do see what was happening with my order; it was still being 'processed'.

I contacted them to find out what is going on and they gave me a load of excuses about the item not arriving from the supplier due to 'unexpected delay' and told me it would be at least another 7 days before my boots arrived.

When I spend over £100 on an item and the website says 24hr delivery I expect the service I have paid for. It is quite simple really; if you don't have an item in stock then DO NOT list it for sale!

I am also very suspicious about all the positive reviews here - so many are giving a maximum 5 stars and offer excessive praise for how good the website and customer service is....... May I suggest perhaps spending less time trying to manipulate your online feedback profile and more time providing good customer service?

How many brain cells do you need to work at Millet Sports?

Where do you start with my experience of Millet Sports??

Well its my first (& last) time I will be ordering from these muppets. I ordered a Suunto Ambit 2 watch, only for the item to be kept in processing for 48 hours, even though my money had been taken. I contacted their customer service & to be fair got a response quite quickly, but then began the email tennis, with the usual morose responses, "It'll be shipped today" "Our shipping is usually quicker than this" " We'll do our best to get it to sooner"

Anyway, after threatening to cancel, they upgraded my shipping to next day 100% PROMISE!!!

I didn't hear anything back from them in 24 hours, so I contacted them, only for another dumb ass to tell me the watch will be another week!!!

In reality I should of just purchased the watch from a good company like Amazon, than attempting to save a few £'s with idiots like these.

The sooner companies like Millet Sports go under, the better.

not service oriented at all

I placed an order for a pair of boots on May 20th. Got a shipping notification on May 24th. Today may 31th the boots still haven’t arrived in Belgium. Contacted the customer service department told them that it was a gift for mine girlfriends birthday on June 1th. They told me that shipping to Belgium will take 7-10 working days but that it can build up till 21 working days (which is over 1 month)

Mine general internet experience is that shipping from the UK to Belgium is fast (normally around 5 working days starting from the orderplacement.I also find that 4 days to process an order is not fast at all.

What bothers me most is that they don’t respond to the fact that I really needed the product and that some-one will be disappointed not receiving a birthday gift. And also the facts that they don’t propose any action except waiting till the 21 working days have been expired.

For me customer’s service is trying to meet customers’ expectations and propose solutions. In mine mind mine expectations are not exceptionally (other UK based companies have done 5 days delivery (from order till delivery at mine home) on many occasions. Doing nothing (except telling the customer to sit and wait (at the maximum one month) till the goods will arrive is no customer service at all.

very poor communication, item is out of stock, 2 emails sent and no response

After a week of waiting for the trainers and no communication received. Then I emailed and put in a call and was finally told it would take another 4 days. Then I received an email saying they didnt have stock and I could have an 'upgrade' to a different pair of shoes. When I looked into it the 'upgrade' it was for a cheaper item and they were available for half the price on amazon. Having emailed twice more to find out what they could do, I finally get a response saying they had tried to contact me by phone (No you didnt) and email. I then called to get a refund and was told it would take 5 days!!! They're prompt if they have stock but its not worth the risk of 3 weeks with nothing, I wont use them again and wouldnt recommend them.

Immediate next day delivery as promised.

Having been disappointed by 2 well known mail order sports companies in the past 3 weeks, Millet Sports have given me exceptional service. I phoned to check stock levels on Thursday, and the sales rep assured me they were in stock and would be delivered by courier the following day. Friday morning, I received my order as promised.

Sports Direct and Barringtons both advised me that items were in stock, yet 2 weeks later, I had still not received my order. Nobody attempted to email me regarding the delay of my order. In the end, I cancelled orders with both companies. Very disappointing, but fortunate to have stumbled across Millet Sports.

With Millet Sports, my experience was very different. From the moment the sales rep took my call to the day of delivery, I was informed at all times on the status of my order. I will not hesitate to use this company again and would highly recommend them.

I am sorry to hear some have had bad experiences, however, I urge you to try again by making a simple phone call to them regarding stock levels and delivery before placing the order.

Disgusted. Non-delivery of products on two occasions.

Ordered a pair of trainers in January. After paying online received an email a few days later saying the item was not in stock. Obtained a refund.
Ordered again in February when trainers were back in stock but after 2 weeks nothing received. Phoned Millets Sports who said they were again out of stock and I would have to wait another 2 weeks, so 4 weeks total. Still waiting.

Good price, but bad warranty service

They had the product at the absolut best price in the market (sale). From ordering to delivery i took one week (UK to DK).

Only issue was that from the charge of the order amount on my creditcard until I received the dispatch information, it took 2 days....and I therefore wondered if they only charged my account and never would send the product.

One year later I had a warranty case. Instead of sending me a replacement (they didn't have the 2011 model in stock, but could have returned a 2012 model) the returned they amount paid initially. So if you make a good deal on sale at them, you can't be sure to get a replacement if it's cheaper for them to make a refund in a warrenty case and your are then forced to buy the product again at a higher price (at their site if you dare).

claim in stock when not for multiple items

Ordered 3 things 23 Sept 2012... no response after a week so emailed 4 times before I received a response. Then received an email with one item out of stock but the other 2 ready to be dispatched. cancelled the out of stock item and asked for other items to be dispatched. 3 days later no parcel! Emailed again and received a response that one of the items was out of stock!

Great Price - Fast Delivery - Excellent Customer Service

I ordered a pair of trainers on tuesday, they were in a colour I could not find anywhere else and they cost 10% less than the RRP. Even though the postage was free they arrived in just 2 days. I will definitely buy from Millet Sports again!
