If you need a made to measure mirror then these guys are ones to trust. My first experience and by accident I ended up not paying online but got a call the very next morning from a lovely lady who confirmed the order and left me feeling happy with the company. They delivered within the timescale promised and the delivery people called me the day before and on the ay to confirm their arrival. Because I wasn't there in person (my wife took the delivery) he also had the courtesy to call me to confirm that all had gone well. I needed a mirror to replace an existing one. The sizes needed to be specific in terms of diameter and hole size. Mirror world had trouble making it because the holes were very close to the edge. They suggested an alternative (acrylic) which worked perfectly and was spot on sizewise. The mirror fitted the existing fitting perfectly and unless you know differently it is very difficult to tell that its not glass
I have been really delighted with my recent purchase, the website is excellent and I would say the only downside was too much choice which made finding what i wanted a little harder. However I needed a mirror that had to fit a particular space and so use the bespoke service, had no idea how to use the online calculator so rang their sales staff who were very friendly and professional and gave me a quote and arranged for a sample to be sent. I was told i would get an email within 24hrs to acknowledge the order and various updates which i got. Anyway mirror arrived and was really lovely, you can see the quality in British craftsmanship which is rarely found now days because of cheap imports. Ive already bought a second mirror from them as I was so impressed with the quality of goods and my experience with mirrorworld.
Really looked forward to receiving a fantastic mirror for our bathroom – the picture on the website and the size was exactly what we wanted…from the moment the mirror arrived, the problems started…
“DAMAGES MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RECEIPT” is emblazoned on the side, which kind of gets you worried but heed this advice, I opened it to find a shoddy, awful shadow of the mirror pictured on the website, so I duly TRIED to report it within minutes of it arriving.
NO ANSWER on the telephone – the customer service department does not do telephones!!! you have to email it over and they will ackowledge it within 24 hours – YEAH RIGHT – took 5 days to acknowledge the damage, then told me to courier it back to them at MY EXPENSE. They ackowledged receipt a few days after they actually signed it as I had to chase them to get the acknowledgment, they then tried to sell me another similar mirror but having had to already pay a return cost for the courier I was not in anyway going to take the same chance again.
I have now spent 30 days chasing a refund, which I was eventually told would take 30 days, but within minutes of me making a very stroppy phonecall in which the sales department could not reach any member of customer services by phone they upheld their 30 day terms to refund, but with 2 days to go from the day they ackowledged receipt of the returned mirror, I threatened them with legal action and I received my refund from World Shopper within 10 minutes – A REFUND REALLY IS AS EASY AS THAT!
IF YOU DON’T THINK YOU WILL NEED TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMER SERVICES THEN ORDER FROM THEM AT YOUR PERIL….UNBELIEVABLE TO THINK THIS IS A BUSINESS IN THIS DAY & AGE
This was an very easy company to deal with. I purchased a mirror online, and received an immediate email acknowledging my order and advising that it would be dispatched within 48hrs. I never expected it so quick as normally when you order with online companies like catalogues or supermarkets you have to wait two weeks. The mirror fitted beautifully over my mantle piece.
