I ordered a few pairs of shoes (overpriced if I'm being honest) in February and was told they had been dispatched. I've been waiting for them to arrive and finally checked on my order status only to see that they have been returned! I'm out of the country right now and tried online chatting and emailing them asking for a refund but keep getting told that I should call to find out what happened to my order and that they couldn't process my refund without it! The certainly didn't need any of that while I was paying for my items is all I can say.
Needless to say I definitely won't be visiting that site again because THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS COMPLETELY ATROCIOUS!
This website is fantastic! I've ordered from them a dozen times, and I've had nothing but great experiences. Their return policy is amazing. I once ordered a dress, but once it got to me I tried it on and realized that it did not flatter me at all, and I was able to get a full refund with return postage paid, just because it didn't look good on me! And it was a sale item as well. I've never seen another site with such comprehensive returns. My sister was once sent the wrong item, and the company not only let her keep the item they sent her, they overnighted the right item to her at no cost. The customer service is great. I once had to change an address on a package and they worked it out with the shipping company for me while to package was in transit. I would recommend this website to anyone.
I found my 10th grade homecoming dress on Modcloth.com. They shipped it fast and in great condition. The website is rather pricy but if you find a good deal on the clothes then it's definitely worth it! There are a few things I would be careful about though. Make sure your item isn't marked "Final Sale". If it is then you can't return it. Also, the colors on the website don't always match the color of the dress when you get it but they are very close. Other than that it was a great experience. I will definitely be buying from them again!
First they wrote me a week after ordering my wedding dress and said that it was oversold. They tried to make it up to me with a coupon, when I used it it did not go through. I was then charged twice! All THREE of their staff I talked to were RUDE. They blaimed me for using the website wrong and refused to allow the lower priced to be charged!
I cannot get over how fab most of the items on Modcloth looks. Where else can you put together a 1930's or 1940's look from the hat, to the coat, to the shoes, without actually hunting down vintage pieces? The prices, however, ruin the site. While I could pay their asking prices, I usually decline to. I'm not going to pay $300 for a coat, when I'm certain that the quality wouldn't even be worth $50. You read all the time on Modcloth reviews how shoes fall apart after three days, coats being the same quality as Kmart, and clothing having bogus measurements. Modcloth is all style and no substance. If you are going to gouge someone, at least make sure I'm getting what I pay for.
I love to drool over the items at Modcloth. They are simply gorgeous - especially the dresses and the shoes (oh, the shoes!). When I have made purchases, I've been pleased with the shipping speed. I've also been able to make returns without a hitch - their process is very customer-friendly. My only beef with Modcloth is the price. I would shop here a lot more if the prices didn't border on the ridiculous.
I found shipping was quite reasonable. The quality of the clothes were okay. Pricing of the actual clothes were a bit steep as sometimes you find the exact same things on similar websites at half the price.
If you are a vintage lover. Sure there are great one offs for those who can't be bothered or hate vintage shopping. The prices seem alright probably the same amount they would fetch on eBay.
Great online store for lovers of vintage girly quirky clothes.
I absolutely love Modcloth. They have a huge selection and update their site every single day with new items.
I have one qualm with them, however: PRICE.
I have purchased items from Modcloth before, but upon browsing the internet later would find the same item I bought on other sites for WAY cheaper. Before purchasing from Modcloth, I always check the internet for other places I can buy the same item. Good sites to check are:
Lulu's Shopruche Threadsence Asos
On several occasions I have actually found that buying from the designer directly, has been cheaper than buying items from Modcloth.
They always have great service! Orders are always shipped out in a timely manner! and always with ups and a tracking number! So you are guaranteed to get your package and know where it is at all times! They have quality items, and good reviews on all items to help you decide sizes and etc.
