excellent service, excellent handles, excellent problem handling
I wanted handles for the drawers of a narrow hall table I had constructed.
I did not know what sort of handles nor how big.
The web site an excellent choice and I was able to order as many samples as I wanted some of the same handle but in different sizes.
I ordered the handles I had chosen and sent back the samples. The man on the phone at more handles was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The credit to my account was handled promptly.
When the handles I had ordered did not come I emailed a query.
I received an apologetic reply immediately telling me that they had run out of the particular handles but there were more coming and they were very sorry no-one had kept me informed.
The handles arrived and they look great.

Freindly, helpful, professional staff, but poor delivery service and bits missing and wrong
The website was well put together and the experience was good as it was easy to find the items i wanted.
When I contacted the staff via the phone they were extremely polite and very professional.
Unfortunately the goods arrived late and were not as described on the internet, also the fixtures were missing.
I have been sent the missing parts i.e. bolts 1st class post and will be offered a discount on my next order. I was offered the opportunity to return the items but the finish on the handles I am after will not be available for another 6 weeks.

The item I wanted wasn't available. I was informed within 24 hours, along with an alternative suggestion or offer of a refund.
I actually chose a different alternative, was advised that it was available and would be sent immediately. It arrived the next day.
I just liked that I was dealing with real people, who delivered a service.

good range of product but should communicate order status better
I had to phone to find out where my order was, I was told one of the items was out of stock, it would have been better if they had informed me instead of me having to ring them.
Still have not received my goods and had no further communications, was told I would get an email when the goods were dispatched but no indication of when despite the website claiming next day delivery.

The reason you were not contacted regarding the order relates to the mixture of products on your order. Some products chosen were available for next day delivery, but others had a delivery schedule of up to 7 working days. In this instance delivery of your order will always be determined by the item with the longest schedule.
In this case we would only view your order as being delayed once the 7 working days were passed. I can see that your order has been despatched today and so should be with you on Monday via FedEx.

A good firm with good prices
I was delighted when I saw the handles I wanted at a much better price than anywhere else. My only reservation (and the reason it's 4 stars instead of five) is that I wasn't notified that the goods I'd ordered were not in stock and therefore would need to be ordered from the manufacturer - so after two weeks I was becoming a little concerned. However, on contacting the sales team I was immediately reassured by the treatment I received and the promise that as soon as they arrived they would be dispatched to me. In the event is was nearly a month after my order that they arrived and I feel that an email or phone call early on would have allayed my fears. BUT the handles are wonderful and as soon as they were dispatched I was able to track their progress on my accounts page. Thank you.

Excellent quality, excellent price.
Couldn't find these handles cheaper anywhere else and was very surprised at the weight and quality of them when they arrived. Probably close to half the price to those in B & Q, and cheaper than other websites I had visited. Beautiful quality, excellent price and very speedy delivery.

Hands on with Handles
Purchased bow handles originally and received a email saying they were at least 6 weeks away as they were out of stock!
Made one phone call changing my choice of handles in two days received not only the newly selected handles but the refund from the original out of stock order!!
I know out of stock is not what you want to hear but at least they dealt with it promptly and efficiently, have to say i'm glad i chose the second set!

Good prices, terrible service and they messed up our order
Were advised by our local contractor to use more handles but never again. After speaking to our contractor about our experience he has also decided not to use them again due to mistakes with his recent orders, so overall a massive loss of business.
Went in on the Friday morning to order some handles, got told they would be in by Friday night but they would ring to let us know. Unfortunately no one rang.
So we went in again on the Saturday morning and was told that it would be in by 10am Monday morning. Arrived at the store at 1pm on the Monday to be told they still hadn't arrived despite the warehouse being around the corner from the store. So had to go back for a 3rd time after I finished work. I had asked about a good will discount given the fact the service wasn't great, the fact I had to cancel the fitter who was coming to the house and the complete waste of time. The manger mumbled something about the prices being "cheap as chips" then walked through the back closing the door.
Continues to get worse however... Arriving home to find they had missed part of the order and that I would have to make a forth trip to the store the following morning. By this point I had re-arranged the contractor to arrive in the morning so I really wasn't impressed. They didn't have the handle in stock so would have to make yet another trip to the local warehouse / supplier (Carlisle Brass I believe) to get the part. So after returning to the store later that day, now 5 times in total for one order we finally got the parts we needed.
They were apologetic up to the point where I asked about a discount but a complete change of attitude afterwards. IF I had known that it would take 4 full working days to get our complete order (which was only 6 handles, 5 latches and a deadbolt) I would have went elsewhere. Shame about the overall service given the good range of products and decent prices.

I paid 1st class post but still have not received items.
I ordered a set of door handles on 24th May and paid 1st class postage but i still have not received the items. I sent an email on 30th May but have not received a reply.

I have looked into the details and can see that your order was placed correctly online, however the fact that you added N/A into the address field on your order caused a problem for our computer system importing the order. This was rectified on the 29th May and the order was then despatched correctly on the 30th May by Royal Mail. Please accept my apologies for the delay in despatching the order, and I have escalated this problem to our web team for investigation to prevent the problem occurring again.
In the meantime I understand that Royal Mail have successfully delivered the package for you and everything is now complete.
