Efficient and Helpful
After initial issue where the delivery company lost the consignment. Having called their Customer Services they quickly spoke to the courier company and got back to me within the hour to tell me the machine had been lost an a second one was being despatched that day and would arrive the following day. The courier company located the original and both were on the delivery the following day, as the first packaging had been damage I took the replacement. I have delayed writing a review until I have used the cultivator a few times, initially I had a minor issue but having spoken again to their Customer Services who were very helpful and it turned out the issue was down to an error on my part ( I forgot to turn off the fuel supply overnight and it caused some oil to leak from the air intake). They advised me as to how to clear the condition and I've used the cultivator several more times and I'm extremely please with its performance especially as I have chalky ground with lots of flint stones.

So much for guaranteed next day delivery!
It took over a week to arrive.Ordered late on Tuesday, nothing by Friday- It hadn't been sent out from distributor. Arrived finally on Monday but bolt to hold head onto drive shaft was missing and turned out to be the wrong model! so had to be collected on Wednesday when correct one was delivered.
The staff at Mowdirect were usually helpful though I did ask a question and was disconnected and then never replied to.

Prompt delivery. Good advice on how to start when instructions were not understood.
Unfortunately not what I wanted. I had arrived at the site by searching for self propelling mowers and did not relise that this one was not. Caveat emptor - another one for my collection of unsuitable mowers

MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT A RIOBI WITH AN ELECTRIC START ALSO BOUGHT FROM MOWDIRECT I NATURALLY ASSUMED THE "EASY START" WAS THE SAME. UNFORTUNEATELY I DISCOVER IT WAS NOT SAME AND I AM BACK IN THE FRUSTRATING HANDLE PULLING TO GET IT TO "GO".

I saw this Einhell mower advertised and thought it was too good to be true. The price was about 2/3rds that of say a Mountfield. I expected it to be rather tinny/ flimsey, well it wasn,t . It started second pul after I had put oil and fuel in it. And it mows really well and has central hieght adjustment which can be really really short or long in about 5 steps. I have quite a large lawn and have only mown it once, but it has performemed really well. Mowdirect delivered it on the day I expected - really quick following a Bank holiday.

Brilliant first class service and I would highly recommend Mowdirect!
Existing lawnmower broke down on the Thursday and I contacted Mowdirect to see if it was possible to get the mower I wanted with next day delivery. Didn't phone until the afternoon and no promise could be made but they would try their best. Next day the mower was with me before 12 noon! The lawn was cut pronto before the rain arrived later! At last I could look out to a freshly striped lawn and not a winter jungle that even the cat wasn't too sure off. Many thanks to all concerned.

Very helpful telephone assistant. Ordering was simplicity itself despite a lack of immediate stock. A short wait and the scarifier arrived at the appointed time. Packaging looked good. Pleasantly surprised by apparent quality and sturdiness of the product. Assembly was straightforward. Added Oil and Fuel as directed. Started third pull. Great!

Good quapity mower from a tired and trusted manufacturer
The product was delivered quickly, was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and well able to cope with my undulating lawns. Has startedfirst timeon every occassion. It is rather heavy to manoeuvre around when not running, but I'll take that if it lasts as long as my previous Mountfield which did sterling service for well over 20 years.

Not what I expected
The mower arrived in March. I didn't use it, or should I say try to use it, until Friday 3rd May. I pulled and I pulled the starter cord, but to no avail. After 10 minutes I gave up the battle. I had a garden chap doing some rotovating for me, an ex-paratrooper, so quite tough. He tried for several minutes and it started, it spluttered, but did not continue. This happened 3 times and it ticked over very slowly and stopped. He checked the engine and there appeared to be a spring missing. I bought a spring, not the manufacturers one as it probably came from China. He managed to get it going at a sufficient tick over that it didn't cut out. I spent 20 minutes cutting, but not finishing, my lawn as I had to go out. When I returned I tried to start it. No joy. I tried to start it again on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. No joy. I could have sent it back and asked for my money back, but I'm game for a laugh having just chased Homebase for 7 weeks trying to get my kitchen fitted. I contacted Mowdirect who gave me a local dealer who would be able to help me. I phoned and I phoned, but I kept getting an unobtainable tone. I checked BT Phone line which gave the same number. As I say, I'm game for a laugh, so I tried again. No joy. I typed in the industrial estate, on the internet, where the agent is, supposedly, based. I phoned the company whose address was the one next door. They told me the company was no longer there. I phoned Mowdirect and was informed that they normally contacted the repair company before passing the details onto the customer, me. I pointed out that they obviously didn't in this case. I was given details of another of your agents, in Truro, 30 miles away. I phoned them and confirmed that they were one of your agents, but unfortunately, did not carry out the repairs themselves, but sent them to a chap up the road. It was suggested that I phone the repair man direct. He confirmed that he could take a look at the mower, but he normally invoiced your agent. I phoned Mowdirect and they agreed to pay the repair man if he sent them an invoice. I took the mower to the repair man and left it with him. He phoned me a couple of hours later to inform me that there was no throttle cable. He phoned Mowdirect to let them know, and Mowdirect sent him the throttle cable. He fitted it and I drove back to Truro to pick it up. A total for both trips of approximately 120 miles. I mention this because this relates to about 4 gallons of diesel in my car. I did manage to start it when I got home and finish cutting my grass. However, if I'm honest, and things go the way they normally do where I'm concerned, It's highly likely I will be unable to start it next time I go to use it. Yes, call me a pessimist, but be prepared for a further phone call.

Exceptional service
Ordered 1pm got the mower 23 hours later and all in good order. Had ordered a similar mower from another similar outlet, took 7 days to arrive but faulty so returned, took another 7 days to find out mower out of stock. What upset me most was the total lack of understanding, the person I spoke to was one of the "am I bothered brigade". Well done Mowdirect. Magic compared to the outfit using a similar name!!

Mowdirect had just what I was looking for.
I wanted a lawn scarifier and found it on Mowdirect web site.I was lucky to live near enough to visit their show room and see the Einhell BG-SC 2240P scarifier.It was just
what I was looking for.I met the staff who were all very helpful. When the scarifier
arrived it was very well packed and was very easy to assemble.This machine does
a very good job.It is best used without the collection bag if there is a lot of moss and
dead grass. I collected it up with my ride on mower all very easy.I would be happy to
deal with Mowdirct again.

The mower arrived after only 4 days complete with engine oil and was relatively simple to put together.

Impossible to quote
Mower arrived with a part missing . I reported it and was promised it would be sent , it has not yet arrived , meaning I can't use the mower . Contact me again in three months when the part will probably have arrived , and I have had chance to use the mower for a few weeks , I will then be happy to review it from all angles . I trust it will actually cut the lawn .

Good price - woefull customer service
Having found the best price for my new petrol mower, I placed an order with Mowdirect online and duly paid the purchase price in full. I prompt received an email confirmation and telephone call from Shanon telling me the mower would be with me by that Friday (order placed on Monday). So far so good.
Thereafter it fell apart. I discovered that after six calls (speaking with Sharon, manager Stuart and two different Sallys (all made by me and promises to return my call each time were never honoured) that I had incorrectly entered the delivery post card. Once my error was identified and corrected, the delivery should have been quick as the mower was apparently with the courier. It took another week.
The delay was apparently due to problems with Mowdirect's inability to communicate effectively with their own courier and with the customer. I tried direct contact with the courier myself but they never answered their phone and their message box was always full.
At no point were Mowdirect proactive and each and everyday I had to spend time and money in contacting them. This culminated on the last day when for the first time, despite 12 separate promises to call me back, one Sally did and left a message. The mower then arrived the next day but my requested and promised (by said Sally) call back from Stuart, the manager, never came. At the time of writting, six days after that undertaking, I am reasonably confident that call with never come.

Easy company to deal with and Lawn Mower delivered on time.
The handbook is useless and looks as if it's been written by lawyers. The illustrations don't correspond to the mower. It is an Einhell BG-PM 46HSW 4-in-one. It was a pig to start and now refuses to start at all after stopping to empty the grass box. So much for an easy start engine !
