Multitrip did not contact me to remind me mu policy was expiring. I caled to check and they said they send e-mails out 6 weeks ahead and again a week ahead. They checked my e-mail which was correct but I never got either reminder and my policy expired. I asked them to explain how this happened as I want to be sure to get an e-mail reminder next year- but they said they didn't know!! So not great for retaining repeat business.
Booked this for my partners mother and was assured I would be receive an email with Policy Document and receipt for payment never received anything...........
Definitely would not recommend its standard practice to send emails then receive an email to review the multitrip experience. Slight cheek!
Although I have been fortunate enough not to use my holiday insurance so far and therefore cannot comment on this side of things, I found purchasing the policy very easy with the level of cover clearly stated and the price was right. Very pleased so far!!
Looked around and got a great price from Multitrip. Had to make a claim a few weeks ago and they could not have made the process easier or been more accommodating. Just signed up for another year.
After I bought a one year annual insurance, they took money from me the second year. How? Because of an autorenew feature. Instead of allowing customers to opt in to this willingly, Multitrip uses the opt out style, so they'll grab your cash if you're not alert enough to log into your account and remove that option.
I am still using multitrip. Even though I tried to claim for a stolen case But because it was
taken en route to airport. And would have missed my flight. I was unable to report it to police. So received nothing. I was very disappointed. But have been too busy to change company's. Hopefully I won't need to ever make another claim.
i arrived in cork airport without having got my travel insurance. I used the computers in the airport to log on and find out what was available. The whole experience of booking multitrip was an absolute blast. Everything was explained fully and the steps to follow for booking were clear and consise. I had it done in no time at all. Well done .
I use Multitrip for my holiday insurance as I trust them and believe if I need them they'll come to my rescue. Having Multitrip insurance helps me to enjoy my holidays even more.
Value for money (after a Go Compare search).
Downside, I asked for a copy of my Key Facts policy to be posted out to me, (I don't have a printer). Informed it would cost £3.50 to send out ! I shall do it at my local library for the sum of .10p for use of printer.
Multitrip's quote was very competitive and their website easy to use but you only know how good an insurer is in the unfortunate circumstance that something goes wrong and you have to make a claim. It is therefore difficult to rate Multitrip at present.
I recently renewed my Annual Travel Insurance Policy with MultiTrip and as normal was referred to medical screening. My condition has stayed exactly the same as last year with no change whatsoever, Despite this I was charged an additional premuin of £9 this year (no charge at all last year). When I questioned this, I was told that MultiTrip had changed Underwriters this year. I fail to see how this is fair and in the interests of the Client. I will certainly be shopping around next year if that is the way MultiTrip treat their loyal Customers.
My father in-law had recently taken very ill and hospitalized due to a lung infection, he was placed in intensive care. I had taken out my policy just prior to him getting ill, only just though.
When I explained to the the agent at Multitrip my situation, she interrogated me asking if I had taken the policy out after he was taken ill... she basically and coldly told me we wouldn't be covered if medical records prove this to be the case, and 'we will do everything in our power to check records' ... It was one of the most stressful holidays we ever had, wondering if my wife's father would pull through while concerned if we would be covered or not. (you hear stories of insurance companies going through every measure possible trying not to make a payment)
She asked me why I didn't take out the policy upon booking, I explained I preferred to take out an annual policy closer to my time of travel to get the full complement of the year. Again i was told we were not assured payment. Ultimately we went on the holiday to America, one of the worst experiences one has to go through not knowing if a family member is going to pull through, and possibly not a hope of a refund of monies spent.
I work for an embassy and always recommend Multitrip to the many visa applicants who visit. This will not be the case from now on, I will do my best to dissuade any future business both professionally and personally from this heartless company.
i was only too happy to buy my holiday insurance with multitrip only to find out later they charged me 99cent to send me a text message which only costs about 10cent and 4.50euro to mail me my paper work for gods sake where did they mail it from, the moon.i wont buy from them again if i can help it......not impressed at all.god help me if i ever have to make a claim
Giood cover but the claim process seems a bit of a hassle, yet to complete it so I can't say how well it works in the long run.
After one year of membership my annual fee is higher than the one offered to new customers although I never claimed anything off my policy.
I renewed my policy for 2013-14 but the validation cert ONLINE is still dated 2012.
i was told i will receive a validation certificate which i have not seen one for the last 2 years.
This company must have the worst customer service on record
Travel insurances are complicated, so something fairly easy is always welcome. This one seemed to fit the bill, a few exclusions/inclusions after having decided on one of the three options were disconcerting but o.k.
€ 3.95 or so fee or commission in the end was not expected nor welcome.
As with any insurance, the quality of the service and cover would only be proven if a claim arose..
Good value but I have not had to claim.
Link for purchasing via PayPal did not work - eventually took me down an alternative link. I almost gave up and bought another policy.
I had clicked auto review on policy but as I had changed my bank card, this process was not valid. I responded by phone as advised by email but the lady on the phone could not allocate "on-line" discount to my request so I was advised to go back and renew online. I did think it was a pity that my transaction could not hav been completed over the phone. The website & online experience that day was quite slow, but I got sorted in the end. Regards Marie
I discovered multi trip insurance on line via confused.com. The multi trip cover for business purposes was just what I was looking for. It fulfilled all my needs and the annual premium was the most competeive for the cover that I required. The cover was provided in a matter of minutes and all documents were received that same day via email.
Our flight was cancelled due to French Air Traffic Controllers dispute. The next available flight offered by our carrier was seven days later. We could not afford to be away another week and tried endlessly to contact our carrier for another alternative without success. There was another flight out of the same airport earlier than our original flight going to Cork not Dublin. We could not change our booking to this flight so cancelled our return flight to Dublin in order that we could be reimbursed by the airline and booked the morning flight to Cork and then hired a car to get us back to Dublin. We arrived in Dublin at more or less the same time our original flight would have arrived. This is why you need to read the small print carefully. We were not delayed over 12 hours. Our own prudence and our necessity to be back home on our original return date meant our policy did not cover our change of flights etc. So if your flight is cancelled don't make alternative arrangements within a 12 hour period or you'll pay all the costs. You can cover yourself for an extra premium to cover such an event but that was not mentioned at the time.
While my policy has increased in price this year it still compares favourably to others on the market. Fortunately I haven't had to make a claim to date so I can only hope I encounter a no quibble service if that time ever comes.
