I think that MusicMagpie are very good and very professional. The whole thing took a relatively long time to process, however there were no problems with the courier, items or payment, so I am a happy customer. I would rather it take longer and goes correctly than shorter with mistakes
I can only praise this service as it was quick, efficient and great from start to finish. I would however suggest to use the "drop off in shop" option as the courier service is handled by Hermes and is notoriously unreliable when it comes to sticking to appointments. Don't wait around all day for them to arrive the next day, and just pop it to one of the closest corner-shops in your area.
Apart from that I can't fault anything. Many thanks.
Apparently saying cds was missing, even I checked them off myself, saying covers was damaged. Wasn't damaged when left, must of been damaged when checking off and wondering thats what happened to my cd that they said was missing.
I was really impressed with the whole process from music magpie. They let me know every step along the way abd what was happening at each stage. The communication was fautless. The only downfall was the pricing offered. The odd price was acceptable but most of them were pitiful and makes it almost pointless going through this process.
I saw an ad on TV and was sceptical, but with the easy App for my iPhone I scanned in a bunch of DVDs and CDs. The whole process was quite straightforward and took just a couple of weeks (instructions for packaging/labeling your items is super easy). I created my order on May 19 and the money was transferred to my account on June 5th. Would do it again!
Well I send my items off on the 13th may and on the website it states that it would only take 7 days for the whole time it would take from sending the package to receiving the money. Unfortunately I did not receive the money in 7 days I received the money in 21 days so they are false advertising and they say that you will receive the money as quickly as possible when you wont receive it for three weeks! Absolute waste of time and never using this service again!
It was very easy to sell my cds as you just keyed in the barcode. Acknowledgement of receipt email received very speedily. Payment into my account very timely also. Would use again
as i say a great company to do business with my only resivation would be the lenth of time the whole process takes but with the ammout of things that need to be checked i would say this i perfetly understandable
What a simple and effective way to turn used games, DVDs and clothes into cash!
The Music Magpie experience couldn't be easier.
* You get a price for your items straight away
* Easy guidelines for packing the items
* Easy to arrange collection of the parcels
* The communication is spot-on, so you always know what's happening
* Get paid straight to your bank account
The whole process was easy to go through, they give helpful information on how many boxes are needed for your items, all free post, good courier service, the only negative thing i would say is that it took a long long time for the money to be sent to my account. You have to wait for the items to arrive which for me took around 13 days, then they have to pass the items to the check team which took another day, then the items were checked and the information passed onto the team that deals with the cash sending, this took 2-3 days, then the money goes out in batches which can take between 3-5 days, THEN depending on your bank it can take a further 3-5 days for the money to be accepted into your account. For me it took almost a month.
very easy to navigate website, select items, collection service reliable and quick. Payment came through very promptly as well. Would use the service again and recommend to anyone wanting to shift their old CD's.
This is very easy to use. Are you fed up of eBay and Amazon fees and pay pal fees. I am.
if you use this service you will get none of that and free postage to.
very easy services to use . And you get your money in next to no time. You get email updates on how your order is doing ,and when you be getting you payment. For me this is a lot better to use. And you don't have to worry about a thing.I got loads more items to get rid of and I will be using this service for it.
Great, user friendly website. Good courier service and no hitches with the payment. Liked the email status updates for the consignment especially as the time from courier collection to payment confirmation was a bit longer that had anticipated. Overall, an excellent service that we would, and have, recommended.
Great way to sell your unwanted clothes and get money for them! It was a bit complicated filling out all the information but it was worth it, got enough to treat myself to a new top!!
Easy Peasy, Didn't except all the games I tried to scan in but gave me a fair price for the ones it did. It worked out at about 2/3 of the price I could of got if I had Ebayed them but with 90% less Hassle,
Packing instructions were clear and I lived near plenty of drop off points.
The money took a little while to come through with the whole process taking less than a fortnight.
If I had a load more games I din't want, I would do this agan.
I found my first selling experience with magpie very easy indeed and well instructed, no problems what so ever , they constantly kept in touch by e-mail during my transaction , very pleased and would use again. gail
I have never used Magpie before when thinking of selling my CD, DVD etc but they are good value for money and prompted at putting the money into your bank account. You are kept updated on the tracking of your goods, but I would like to say more options on where you can take your parcel would be good for someone like me who do not drive. Other than that will use again
A great easy way to sell a lot of games, dvds or music at once. I also think I got a fair price for the items considering I got rid of everything immediately and didn't need to bother with individual items and posting things out.
I have used Music Magpie on various occasions for selling unwanted DVD's and CD's and, whilst they don't pay very much and are painfully slow in paying, it is a very easy service to use. Much easier than trying to sell on Ebay, for example.
I used the service again recently for a large collection of CD's but decided to also sell them my unwanted iPhone 3gS for which they offered just over £44. This seemed fair enough to me and I knew the phone met their "good" standard as per their terms and conditions. However, I was told the the phone had suffered "liquid damage" - absolute nonsense, the phone was hardly used and was certainly never near water to have suffered any damage. I emailed to query this and got a reply to which I replied asking for, perhaps, an independent assessment of the condition of the phone. I certainly wasn't going to pay £15 to get it back, which is what they were asking! I have never received a response to this email. A second email was sent a few days ago and I've not received a response to this either.
This is very poor service - and they still have my phone...
I have now been informed that my phone has been sent for "recycling" after being told that I had declined the offer of getting my phone returned for a cost of £15. This is not entirely the case. I had actually disputed the outcome and did this via email. A total of 3 emails were sent with only the 3rd one being replied to by Music Magpie. Clearly, the company took my dispute as a declination of their "offer" - which is absolutely not the case. the fact of the matter still stands that my phone met their "good" standard. Perhaps they need to update their terms and conditions as this "liquid damage" can supposedly be caused just by simply using the phone outside on a mildly damp day. If I ever send them a phone again, I will need to make sure it's only ever been used indoors in a controlled, damp free environment......
