I waited 2 weeks for this item to be delivered, it finally arrived this morning, Good Friday, the courier made no attempt to make contact at my address, instead just dumped the item on the front door mat. On opening the parcel I find it broken clean in two and rendered utterly useless. I then check the MyHermes tracking page to find it updated saying "Parcel Delivered and signed for " Total lies and fabrication. If your reading this review take note and avoid this company at all cost.
My room is at ground floor, I was sleeping yesterday morning. I heard someone knocked door for 3 seconds then climbed up to my window and threw a package through my window blinds..... It was so scaring like a nightmare. I think their staff lack of training and basic common sense and knowledge. I have never seen such a terrible courier in my life !!! And TODAY, when I got home I saw a very big parcel in my room and I believe the guy who delivered d today did same thing AGAIN. My cups was hit and the water came out, my floor is full of bubble right now. I want compensation !!!
My son ordered some items a few weeks ago, tracked it after it didn't turn up and they claimed it had been put through the letterbox, funny that it won't fit through the letterbox. It never turned up and company sent a replacement but it took 3 weeks to sort. I have just ordered items from Wallis and Dorothy Perkins, just tracked both orders and apparently they were both delivered at 13.09 on 15th April - when I was at home. Just spent 40 minutes on 0844 number reporting non delivery and having to reorder. This delivery company is a complete joke.
Myhermes collected and delivered exactly as they said they would. no problems. Review sites are great places to vent frustration when things go wrong and its cathartic too! but its not a balanced view is it?
DO NOT use this company!!! Believe all the bad reviews!! I send lots of parcels each week with Royal Mail & UK mail and never really had a problem. I try Myhermes just to give them a go and the first parcel I've arranged still hasn't been delivered nearly 2 weeks later! You'll spend most of your time trying to get an answer and feel like your going round in circles. The company picked up the parcel but the person who picked it up didn't have a clue what she was doing. It spent a week in their warehouse only to be delivered back to the collection point. Nearly 2 weeks later the parcel is back at the the collection point and still hasn't been delivered! FUMING! Will be staying clear of them from now on!
This company has no respect for other peoples property, you pay them to provide a service & although you take great care in the packaging of your items they treat them as if they are nothing, they wangle out of paying compensation by using there exclusion clause policies, which then gives them the right to use your parcels as any old object, probably they play football with them to see how many pieces then can shatter them into. Nobody seems to have a duty of care & when you do speak to someone it's like talking to a record.( they are obviously trained to say the same thing over & over) please take heed of this, you may think I have never had a problem with this company but believe me your turn will come. I am disgusted by this company & have never done this sort of thing before, that's how strong I feel.
As with so many others who have reviewed, Hermes is a pathetic joke.
I groaned inwardly when the seller said was being delivered by Hermes since I'd heard nothing but reviews about it. Not having had a delivery from them before (Hermes), I crossed fingers and thought "surely aren't that bad?". Unfortunately they are.
The tracking is a joke, so late to update it's unreal.
My daughter was in the house all day, the door even open all day. What does tracking say? "Reattempt tomorrow". In other words no one in. Bull. No card left and there is no way they could have attempted delivery and not been heard, the dig would have barked his head off even if the door was closed.
One would have thought that, given the number appalling reviews, Hermes might bothered and try improve. Seems that head office couldn't give a stuff. Well, if that's the case, I'd expect them to be out of business. Sellers and retailers well not risk their reputation by using a courier who let's their customers down and dpd and the others, even royal mail, are infinitely better. They can't even be bothered to answer the phone out to get some representative to reply on here!
They left a half filled out delivery slip with no contact information. When I finally got through they said "we don't take customer complaint calls, we can only speak to the retailer". What a joke! They refused to give me any detailed information about the parcel (e.g. where it was delivered) and claimed that they had a signed customer receipt for it, even though no one was in my house for the whole day. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!
I sent a parcel to a friend on Saturday, and only half the parcel arrived,so they have split the parcel, and I have no idea were the other half is, NEVER WILL I USE MY HERMES AGAIN, TOTAL SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had an item delivered from amazon, which after i placed the order i noticed it was coming from "my hermes" never had a delivery from them before and by my experience i wont get another, they didn't knock and just placed a calling card through the door. They just dumped my parcel in the bin saying that he had to sign on my behalf. Just plain lazy which now i have reported the courier to amazon. DPD / Interlink / citylink are far more professional at least they knock,
10 days ago my parcel was dropped off at a parcelshop which is supposed to be a day faster, delivery 2-4 days, and apparently it arrived at senders local depot the next day. According to their tracking service IT'S STILL THERE!!!!! After the sender rang them they were told there was a problem with the collections but it would be picked up the next day. That was 5 days ago. No more updates on tracking and still no delivery. OUTRAGEOUS COMPANY, POOR SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST TELLS YOU ANYTHING TO GET RID OF YOU.
Still waiting for a delivery which was sent last Thursday, they are saying it was refused on Saturday. Absolute rubbish I was in all day Saturday and they made no attempt to deliver. I've also been in Mon and Tues and again they've not delivered. Sounds like they haven't even bothered or they've tried to deliver to the wrong address. Won't speak to me as I have sent the parcel. Waste of time, don't use this company unless you want deliveries going astray. I'd heard bad reports before but now can actually confirm they are terrible!
I hadn't received a parcel so clicked on the tracking link. This said that I had received and signed for the parcel last Saturday. I had not and there was no card left to say a parcel was with neighbours?! There was nowhere on the site to make a query or complaint that I could see. I find it worrying that the company claim to have my signature for this parcel.
Update 16/4/14 After contacting company I ordered from I tracked my parcel down to a neighbours house. Pleased to find it, a card through the door to say where our was would have been even better!
Ordered a item online with 2-3 day service, waited in the house 10 days and still nothing, Hermes refused to talk to me so I had to contact the seller and Hermes told the seller that they had attempted to deliver 3 times but the building I live in is "inaccessible" ...no one rang the intercom or doorbell, someone was always home ALL DAY... apparently Hermes delivery drivers don't have fingers because they're baffled by doorbells.
I don't understand how my building is "inaccessible" when Royal Mail, Parcel Force, and FedEx, etc can all get into the building fine... its just a case of ringing a bell and being buzzed in!
I still haven't received my item almost a fortnight after purchase! as the company I purchased the item from is confused whether the item is on its way back to them or back to the depot so they can figure out a way to either resend the item themselves or redirect it to my sisters house that is easier to deliver to!...
My wife ordered an item on e-bay and the seller used Hermes for the delivery. What a mistake!
This company will only attempt to deliver an item three times before returning it to the sender. Each of our three deliveries took place in the morning while everyone was at work so, understandably, the courier left a card each time. No problem there. However, although the card had boxes for the courier to enter his contact name, phone number and parcel consignment number he didn't bother filling them in so my wife had no way of contacting him/her to say when someone would be home, or of finding out when the next delivery was planned so she could be there. The problem was made worse because there is no option to collect from a depot with Hermes (as you would expect from any professional courier service) so if you miss three deliveries, then you can kiss your parcel goodbye!
My wife will now have to contact the seller to re-arrange delivery, resulting in more hassle for everyone all thanks to Hermes!
MyHermes have been the couriers for a couple of internet orders I've made. Courier will only deliver Mon-Sat AM, won't leave with a neighbour. When I've called the courier I've found her rough & rude. Ended up having the orders returned and taken it up with the store. Not impressed at all and would check the couriers used by online stores in the future.
