MyHermes have been the couriers for a couple of internet orders I've made. Courier will only deliver Mon-Sat AM, won't leave with a neighbour. When I've called the courier I've found her rough & rude. Ended up having the orders returned and taken it up with the store. Not impressed at all and would check the couriers used by online stores in the future.
I sold a small exercise trampoline which is 96cm in circumference x 5cm height when packed, I arranged with My Hermes to collect and deliver it as it fell within their Weights and Dimensions guidelines of Max weight 15kgs and max Length 120cm or Length + Girth = 225cm, they duly collected on 2nd April and I notified the buyer of the tracking number. On the 10 April I opened my front door to find the trampoline on my doorstep. The courier had not knocked to let me know they had returned it and no note was left so I phoned My Hermes Tel: 0330 333 6556, which took me a while to find, and asked why it had been returned, they had no knowledge of its wear-abouts or why it had been returned and said they would investigate. Unfortunately this did not help me or my customer, so I phoned again. I was asked what the dimensions of the package was and when I said 96cm in circumference, I was asked to give them the length and the width, I repeated that it was 96cm in circumference, the chap said so what's the length and the width? Do their couriers not know what circumference means? The he said wait one moment while I ask someone. He then came back and said that the package was to large for them to take and that is why it had been returned. I pointed out that it fell within their own max Weights and Dimensions T&C's as someone had kindly left a copy attached to the trampoline it was clear on there up to Length + Girth of 225cm, I pointed out that Girth means Circumference in the English Dictionary but they still didn't understand. I asked to speak to a manager but non was available. I left my phone number and asked for a manager to phone me back. About an hour later a manager called and confirmed that it was returned because it was too large for them to deal with!!! When I asked why they had held on to it for 8 days the manager told me that as the drivers are all self-employed and had small cars they couldn't take it and they had to wait until a courier with a large enough car was available. Funny that they managed to take it in the first place and no attempt was made to contact me to let me know that the package could not be delivered. As I pointed out to the manager my husband used them to send a Snowboard without any hassle and that was 165cm long not including the packaging. No apology was made just that they would refund my money. I wonder how long I will have to wait to receive that!!!
When tracking parcels online, you will always see “delivery attempt not successful” although no one ever rings your doorbell. Many of my parcels were returned because the courier couldn’t be bothered to deliver them. Do they have staff issues or what is the problem?
Don't listen to the bad reviews - remember it's only the few unhappy people that will write a review at all. I use myHermes every time i need to send a light parcel (5kg or under) as they're always the cheapest. They have never failed to collect and always deliver within 3 days. I have used Yodel a few times and I've had countless missed collections. Loses a star because you don't get any compensation for almost all items, but for inexpensive items, they can't be beaten.
Despite all the negative reviews, I decided to trial myHermes, for my business parcels. Over the past two weeks, we have sent out over 100 orders of varying sizes, and had just 1 issue (incorrect address).
It would seem that the majority of the negative reviews are from people sending infrequent parcels, perhaps without access to protective packaging, and then blaming the courier when things arrived damaged. Unfortunately, no mainstream courier provides a 'white glove' style service, so packages need to well packaged.
We are going to continue using Hermes for the season and see how we get on. Hopefully I will have no reason to change my 5 star review.
I was very worried about using Myhermes after reading all the bad reviews but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, BIG MISTAKE! I beg anyone considering them to go elsewhere as your chance of your goods being NOT damaged is so incredibly low. They may be cheap but that doesn't justify the damage they do to your goods after clearly writing on handle with care. A nightmare.
I don't know how their still in business and I hope they look to improve their current unbelievably awful service!
Hermes left a note to tell me they had left my package in the bin! The courier was clearly unaware of my personal situation and the fact I was currently staying at my parents for a short amount of time. So when I returned on Saturday I found the wheelie bin empty!! At no point did I say the bin was an acceptable safe place to leave a package! I ordered my package over 20 days ago and was told it could take anywhere between 7-28 days (the manufacturers description, not Hermes), so there was no possibility of me waiting in everyday to find out if my package would be delivered that day! I am furious, what kind of moron leaves a valuable package in the bin???
Horrible service, probably the worst available on the market. The people in the field are the exception and getting paid ridiculous money, apart from that everything is extremely poor. Lots of stuff arriving damaged, even when packed well, parcels are lost and don't get delivered for weeks, as a buyer I will be asking the sellers to use any other shipping service apart from myHermes. Another joy is their idiotic changes for the sizes of the parcels and weight, which they don't inform about. It's clear that the company doesn't give a dam about their customers, disgusting and arrogant attitude. Can only recommend to AVOID at all costs!!!
Over 1000 parcels have been sent by myhermes from me. I have used both the shop drop off and courier collection, 90%+ with my nice courier man. I have only had 8 parcels damaged, all of which had compensation paid in FULL by myhermes. Brilliant value for money and great customer service.
In life it's true. You pay for What you get. The reason My Hermes is so cheap is because it is so poor. The people in the field who get paid so little by My Hermes are fantastic people working for a company that list's parcel shop collection points that exist but have never used My Hermes and are sick of people turning up with parcels that they have nothing to do with. I list one such point as, BYBOX @ J BRAND LTD 75/76 Brindley Road, Astmoor Industrial Estate WA7 1PF To sum up, you pay for your parcel delivery online where they take the money straight away, you then waste time and money taking the parcel to a listed address that has nothing to do with My Hermes, then you contact My Hermes where the customer service is so poor you would be better off talking to yourself. Having already explained that you have wasted time and money trying to get your parcel on it's way you are then offered another address to try, when you are asked for a refund you are told that the refund will take three to five working days.
Had a parcel delivered last week by Hermes (obviously you cannot choose the delivery company when ordering online). Myself and my partner both work full time and no attempt was made to either deliver to one of our neighbours or a "safe place". My parcel was chucked over the garden fence and then they notified me to say it "was in a safe place" I highly doubt that if my parcel was damaged they would accept any responsibility.
Would not recommend as they clearly do not care about your parcels.
On Wednesday I paid for a courier to collect my parcel on the thursday. The money was immediately taken from my account but no-one turned up. On friday I contacted via web chat and was told it would be 'escalated' and someone would get back to me. No response, so I messaged again on saturday was told it could take 24-48hours to get a response. I waited 48hours and on sunday again messaged again - I was told it would be 'escalated'. By Monday morning I was very annoyed and again queried why my parcel had not been collected and why no-one had actually bothered to respond to my query - and was told it would be escalated! If it wasn't so annoying the poor customer care would actually be funny. What use is a courier company that does not collect parcels?! And how can I trust it to actually deliver?! Nope
send load of parcels via a 3rd party (parcel2Go). usually use Hermes or Yodel as they work out the cheapest. Not always the best!! If you've got any problems you have to chat online to Parcel2go as there are no contact phone numbers and Hermes wont deal with you directly. They have lost parcels, said they have delivered parcels when they haven't, and held parcels up with no communications to either me or Parcel2go. They don't answer their emails and they don't communicate at all. The service is diabolical and they don't care. They are very cheap but sometimes that isn't always best!!! Hermes you need to shake up your act. You just need to read the reviews on here to see how crap they are. You'd think they would want to improve!!!!!
I had 2 parcels to be picked up on Friday last week from the same address, same destination address. Collection day came and went, no warning/apology given, no collection until end of Saturday. Its now Friday a week later - still waiting for one of the parcels, the other arrived on Wednesday and according to tracking the remaining one has been on van for delivery since early hours of Wednesday. I would never ever use My Hermes again - total rubbish. If I could have given no stars I would have.. PS. Having spoken to the My Hermes online help I was then informed that the contents of the delayed parcel has been smashed. I would probably have waited another week to hear anything if I hadn't contacted them to ask. It would be interesting to know if the damage happened during the nearly week long trip on the delivery van? I would suggest everyone do themselves a favour and choose a company that provides a service fit for purpose.
I ordered a pair of boots and said would be 2 to 5 days delivery and it said myhermes company would be delivering so looked at reviews and started panicing as such a lot of bad reviews. I have no complaints at all ordered them on Sunday and were delivered Friday morning so i.m a happy customer.
Had generally good experience previously with Myhermes until a delivery I was sending to Scotland got stolen on the way. My item was full wrapped up and sealed in a big box and they had the cheek to steal the item and ended up delivering a broken laptop lid to my customer with a bit of bubble wrap round it and the hermes sticker placed on top. I was furious. I got my compensation back after over 20 working days of waiting, was a nightmare, will never use them again and I urge everybody else not to use them! The fact they ask you to put on the delivery note a reference as to what you are sending is not good at all, it's alike a free advertisement to anybody who wants to steal your goods.
My package was left out on the garden path in the pouring rain. It was supposed to be signed for but the driver must have forged it because I certainly didn't sign for it. There was not even a card put through the door so I discovered it quite by chance, completely sodden.
Emailed MyHermes to complain and an automated response promised a reply within 24 hours. That was two weeks ago - no reply received.
All I can say is on this occasion they provided the best service I've had from any courier for quite some time. I bought two items from an eBay seller who wanted me to arrange a courier to collect them. It turned out MyHermes had a ParcelShop close to where he lived and he was happy to drop them off so I chose to use them. Arranging collection from the ParcelShop was clear and simple via the website, even though I was doing it for the first time. The price was competitive, possibly even the cheapest, although I can't remember that for sure. Emailing the address labels went without a hitch and the parcels were collected the same day the seller dropped them off. Online tracking was helpful and reassuring and they arrived mid-morning 48hrs later, as predicted. The best part was that the parcels, which contained some quite valuable and fragile items, were completely undamaged and the delivery man was polite, friendly and happy!! How often does that happen!!?? Virtually never in my experience! I mentioned this to him and he said he was just grateful to have a job in difficult economic times. How refreshing to come across this kind of positive attitude rather the sullen disdain and arrogance that too often accompany the arrival of one's worryingly battered looking packages! Clearly, from the large number of negative reviews on here MyHermes don't get it right all the time but I felt it was important to also acknowledge a positive experience when it does happen and give credit where credit's due. On this occasion at least MyHermes did a really great job for me. So, well done them!!
