I wouldn't give them any stars if there was that option. Hermes/Parcel2Go dumped a parcel at my door that was supposed to be signed for. Driver obviously lied & signed it himself. They then refused to compensate seller who sent parcel despite my photos which clearly showed unopened parcel which was damaged as if it had been thrown around. There's a reason they're cheap! Rubbish - Crooks - Avoid Pay a little more and get your goods in one piece.
Had a few dealings with these charlatans, they are barefaced liars it's happened twice now where their website says that a courier came but you wer'nt in,no card through the door to say they had been but they would try again tomorrow, when my parcel finally arrived i asked the courier "Did you call yesterday" with a blank expression on her face "NO" . why oh why do poeple use these numpties, every time i find out which courier is being used my heart sinks. royal mail may be a bit more expensive but at least you know you'll get good service. you can see them all sitting in their offices shaved heads, tottoo's driving bmw's derrrrrr, and as for the blokes!!!!
Order was for 2 day delivery still no sign a week later. Online tracking states "Hub Trailer Via Sorter" for the last few days or so. Customer service are useless, If I knew seller (ebay) was going to use hermes I would never have purchased as this has happened before. on the other hand DPD are excellent and even send an SMS. Never Hermes again.
made an order from amazon was under the impression that it was going to be here yesterday so took the day off work... no delivery, arrived home today to find a note through my front door saying parcel was by 'meter box' (which is by my front door, on a main road and a major footpath) needless to say there was no sign of my parcel... no phone numbers on card... I only hope these guys are well insured, I am a solicitor and I will be following this up as the parcel contained some very important case notes, including details of current on going cases
Seems I'm definitively in the minority here but I used them for the first time and they actually did very well! Sender took parcel (large) to local participating shop on Saturday. It was picked up on Monday and delivered Tuesday afternoon by very polite man. I checked it and signed for it and all was well. The tracking site also worked well and I was able to follow it step by step. Seems loads have had problems but credit where its due? cheers
Had a package arriving from JD sports and was hoping to have them on the saturday. On my tracking page it said they tried to deliver them, was in all day and no one appeared at the door. Said they would try again monday, same thing happened but now it says 3rd and final attempt, Tuesday and Wednesday.. absolutely nothing, no communication from them at all. In touch with @jdhelpteam on twitter after i sent 2 messages to their customer help team with no reply, hopefully hear back soon. I will never use Hermes again. Terrible company
- Posted two parcels using MyHermes. - First parcel was lost; apparently "binned at the depot" due to damage (no proof supplied). - Second parcel arrived smashed to pieces. - No insurance meant that I didn't receive a penny in compensation even though they clearly broke the Supply of Goods and Services Act by not providing a parcel delivery service, and instead supplying a parcel destruction service.
I truly hope, with every fibre of my being, that this company goes under and goes under hard.
I would not send ANY praise to this company as long as a certain part of my anatomy points to the floor!! They are not fit to be called a company, no I would be more happy to call them something akin to a DISASTER ZONE!! Simply because all that precedes them AND follows them is DISASTER after DISASTER.
I send and receive quite a good number of parcels from ALL over the world and besides Royal Mail who ingloriously manged to LOSE a consignment of some 32 parcels at one go (But MIRACULOUSLY manged to find two of the parcels from the posting??) I have yet to come across any disaster zone like My Hermes. This is the first NONE delivery I have had, I have a notice on my door saying ""Sorry we are BOTH Disabled and MAY be upstairs so PLEASE bear with us" I neither heard any knock nor saw anyone skulking at our door. The NOTE?? Says that SOMEONE left a Parcel C2L or maybe C2C or something and a cross against "this is my FIRST attempt to deliver this item" Shame I never heard it??! Called "CUSTOMER SERVICES?" and a VERY friendly Voice apologised for the service I asked WHY she was apologising, had SHE tried to deliver the package, she of course said no. I said well why apologise then, usually it is the person who did the deed apologises!! I can only repeat this company (spits) should NOT be called or perhaps KNOWN as a company in the accepted term of the word!! But as a Disaster Zone. I noticed the ONE person had left a GLOWING report and 5 stars (two and a half lines!) And he was befuddled as he had had LOADS of stuff COLLECTED, hang on ah yes COLLECTED!!! Tell you what my fine friend TRY having something SENT, look at the parcel and see the mucky FOOTPRINTS upon it where someone has used it as a football and THEN tell me the deserve a single star??! Last delivery looked like that! TWO Laptops both SMASHED, DIRTY and NO offer of anything except apologies!! Sorry but apologies will NOT pay the £50 bill to repair the two screens!! My Rating?? I dare not leave it for fear of reprisals...............;-) AH, GOT to leave a STAR!! But NOT rude!! How could they be?? The one lass apologised and the rest never showed up!! Oh and cannot write a card!! WASTE of SPACE!!! They ARE cheap for a reason!!!
This service has been awful, the courier has broken/damaged almost every item he has "delivered" to me by making absolutely no attempt to deliver the packages properly i.e. by ringing the doorbell/knocking on the door and handing them over despite the fact that every time there has been at least one person in the house. Instead he has every time thrown the packages (regardless of size/weight/fragility) over our very high side gate where they have landed on the concrete paving slabs. This has caused most of the contents to be damaged or broken in some way. Also in one case doing this split the (stout cardboard) packaging completely open, exposing the contents to the lovely (/sarcasm) British weather for hours. This is also disgusting when he has absolutely no idea what or who might be on the other side of that gate and had some of those packages of great weight landed on a person or on one of our dogs they could quite easily have killed or seriously injured them. Also he has never once left any notification that the parcels have been thrown over the gate so nobody ever knows they're there unless we happen to go round the side for some other purpose, which means very often they've been left there in rain and other awful conditions for hours. Also the two times I was given any online tracking information it was absolutely useless as it kept saying the parcel was sent here, sent out there, sent somewhere else, with no indication of when it would actually come to me. Complaints made to Myhermes by some of the senders of the parcels has achieved nothing, this useless courier is still doing the same thing every time and continuing to damage items and leave no notification of so-called "delivery".
I have spent the entire day waiting for a parcel to be collected between 0800-2000hrs. There has been no contact from the company whatsoever to explain why they have failed to collect the package. Of course, being a Sat night there is no means to contact the company and elicit a response until Monday, by which time I shall have defaulted with the clothing company from whom I purchased goods for failing to return them within a specific period. I would strongly recommend that you pay the extra and go through a trusted company such as Royal Mail.
A seller on Amazon decided to send my new mobile phone through MyHermes, four days later the tracking updated to tell me it was with the local courier for delivery.
Later that day the tracking changed to a re-delivery. There was no attempt to deliver the parcel that day. That evening I contacted them on their live chat to try and ascertain where the parcel was, the woman advised me they had no idea what had happened and would have to put the query through to the "investigations department" and I would be contacted within 24 hours with an answer. I asked at the time for the telephone number of the courier who was meant to be delivering it, I was denied this due to "data protection" reasons.
The following day the tracking had updated again although it appeared to be going back in time, it had once again changed to "received by local courier". I took this to mean it was out for re-delivery. Later on that day the status once again changed to indicate a failed delivery.
I called them up at this point, the woman who I spoke to explained the delivery driver wasn't able to deliver my parcel due to the property being "inaccessible", the property is not behind any doors / gates and there is nothing to impede access. She told me the delivery had failed twice and the third time would be the final time before the item was sent back to the seller.
The following day I received an email from their "investigations department", according to them the driver had tried to deliver but there was nobody there to receive the parcel.
Either somebody or lying to me or somebody working there is incompetent. Either way, unless you want to lose your parcel and part of your sanity do not use MyHermes, if you think the experiences are a one off just google the name or check their facebook or twitter.
I thought I'd give them a try, the price was attractive. First time one day late collecting but the parcel eventually arrived. Second go some 4 days late collecting, finally got there. The third go was a disaster, parcel lost, no compo, had to refund my customer. Their email Customer Services must go though to a junior school as answering a question was beyond their wit.
No shortage of alternatives. Royal Mail are OK but sign up with Transglobal, it's free. Enter your consignment details and like Go Compare many options come up from different carriers with price at very good discounts. My experience has shown that DHL are excellent. Sometimes it's well worth paying a little bit more for peace of mind. As for Hermes if you want to pay peanuts you'll get monkeys with learning difficulties, don't even think about it. Your sanity is at risk as are your goods.
Received the courtesy note to say that they had called, on closer inspection I saw that the parcel had been left in the 'Brown Bin'. Upon opening the 'Brown Bin' I surely saw the parcel, submerged in 6 inches of water, it was a cardboard parcel, with a laptop inside.
Absolutely rubbish company, to be fair to them they have delivered most of my parcels without error however the other day one of my customers received a mug and saucer completely smashed, hen i went to claim compensation they claimed that they do not cover breakable goods. what good is that to anyone and why give the option to state the parcels worth in case of compensation claims. I cover my customers for allergic reactions to peanuts as long as the product they r consuming has no traces of peanuts!!!!!!
Apparently they have attempted delivery twice this morning. I am waiting to go out so have been sat in my front room by the window the whole time and they have most certainly NOT tried to deliver!! Disgusted with this service, I will be checking what couriers retailers use in future and if they use Hermes I will never again buy from them. I paid for next day delivery for a reason, because I wanted it today!!
Ordered a present for my husband from Next who are using myHermes for deliveries. It was supposed to be next day delivery. One week later I'm still waiting. On the tracking website they reckon they have tried to deliver twice and no one was in so they left a calling card. Someone has been in the house the whole time and no calling cards have been left either. Next have been in touch with the courier twice in the last 18hrs who faithfully promised to deliver by 11.00 this morning. Guess what? Still no parcel. Not sure I am going to order goods from Next anymore...... They need to try a new courier
I spent hours repairing a vintage camera I sold on eBay, camera got smashed on it's way to the buyer despite being wrapped in a triple bubble wrap! I had to issue refund despite the case wasn't my fault. Claimed compensation and was assured via email by myhermes customers support that it is due within 10-14 working days. It's been already 2 and a half months, still nothing! Won't let them get away with it though!
