I ordered a MyMemory HD 720P Car DVR Driving Recorder with 140 degree Wide Angle Lens from MyMemory and received an order confirmation. At the same time, I ordered a 16 Gb Micro SD card to go in the camera. I then saw that for a few pounds more, I could have a 32 Gb card, so I phoned customer service. I was dissapointed to hear that the telephone line I called was a premium rate call at (I think) 10 pence per minute (£6 an hour to you and I) but the call was answered fairly quickly, my original order was changed to delete the 16 Gb card and a new order was put on record for a 32 Gb Micro SD card.
I then received an email to say that the previously in stock camera was not in stock and that my order had been cancelled. However, the 32 Gb card was dispatched before the out of stock notification was sent and I really couldn't be bothered with phoning the premium rate phone line again to get a returns number, so I now have a 32 Gb card and no camera to use it in.
This is the first time in over 10 years that I have trouble with ordering from MyMemory, but nevertheless, I am fed up.
Sales of all forms of memory has always been quick, efficient and very well priced but sale of cables and memory storage cases could do with improvement. More varity and better quality goods would help. Best wishes, Richard.
I purchased a Kingston SD Card for my digital camera recently for a trip to Rome with the missus. I was hoping the card would turn up quite quickly but when it did not I panicked and purchased another card from a store. I made the second purchase as there was insufficient tracking data for my parcel and it simply read "dispatched".
As it happens the card did arrive in time and now I have 2x cards. The price of the card was fine, but its frustrating that I couldn't access any further tracking info which led me to purchasing another card elsewhere. Please provide more detailed tracking info than "packing" or "shipped".
